This is the closest post office to my house, which is the only reason I use it. The staff is atrocious and the service is pathetic. My average experience is waiting for upwards of 10 minutes until the woman comes out from the back room, looks me over with an annoyed expression, then begrudgingly help me. Once I saw her in the back eating an apple and she told me to "Give me moment" and she proceeded to eat her apple and read her book, occasionally glancing over to see if I was still there. I've worked alone and needed to take my break, but that's what a "Back in 15" sign is for. Or, at the very least, explain you are on break. I know how annoying it is to cut your break short because a customer walked in, but giving them the stink eye without explaining anything isn't how to do it. I had to go in one Sunday, but I wasn't sure of the hours, so I checked online, and sure enough, they were open. It was around 3PM and nothing was posted to indicate any issues. Only to go in and find a crudely made closed sign. It wasn't until other people started showing up that the pharmacist [seemingly the only other person who works there] say "It's closed" and when pressed they went "No debit" and walked away. A "Good" experience is when the woman is already at the desk and you are waiting in line. She seems slightly willing to help you with no extra effort. Just stares at you, you hand her the mail, she weighs it, gives you the price, then asks how you'll pay and that's it. Always have a 30 minute window if you need to go to this location because it's either a long line up or just waiting for someone to notice you.
I'm seeing what a lot of people are writing on here...and honestly i can't help but feel bad for the staff. I've been to this location twice now and they seem really understaffed, not really the employees fault. I watched one girl trying to juggle two lines at once. One at the pharmacy and one at the Post office. I overheard her on the phone as i was waiting in line and realized how stressed she must be (she looked like she was gonna break down any second). I did have to wait a bit over 20 minutes to get help. Wasn't in a hurry so i didn't mind the wait. And i was shocked to see some people in line yelling at the poor girl to hurry up. The reason why everyone's probably in such a poor mood at this location all the time is because they're understaffed, and there customers act like children. Maybe don't come 30 minutes before they close if you wanna send out your package so badly... Still giving this 3 stars though because the management really should wake up and hire more people...
The tall young girl with long dark hair needs some training on how to process a registered letter. She scanned the bar code but didn’t set it up for payment. She was quite rude during the entire time she was “helping” me. She walked off leaving the other letters I had to mail on the counter unattended, saying “if you want to pay for it, I can make that happen” but didn’t come back. Several minutes went by and another pharmacy attendant came by to process the transaction properly. The store wasn’t busy at the time. There is never an excuse for this type of rude and unprofessional behaviour towards customers. The attendant who successfully processed the transaction apologized for the first person.
I don’t normally mail anything but I had an emergency come up and this is the closest post office to me. Honestly, it was a pretty bad experience. The young lady working the post office was completely apathetic and rude. I had a couple questions and she acted like she couldn’t care less. She left me to basically figure out everything on my own. This was half an hour after they opened with like two other people in the store so it's not like they were too busy to properly help me. Very nearly just walked out and went somewhere else. Definitely will just use a different post office next time.
I dont usually like giving any place 1 stars, but the service just makes me not want to use this location any more. The older lady who was servicing me acted like when I asked for help was the biggest inconvience breathing heavy like a moody teenager. Something just always rubs me the wrong way when someone who is GETTING PAID to the job has a problem when customers ask questions on how to send a package. I can see why we are going to automated machines
Like others have mentioned, the young girl with long brown hair (Sedra) has so much attitude. ZERO customer service. Looks moody and was forced to work here. I asked for a receipt, and she says they don't provide it lol (I always receive one without having to ask). She later printed one and ask if this is it. She also asked where the package is going although it clears says where on the package if she cared to look lol What a miserable individual.
The experience was pretty poor overall. The few times I have been a long dark-haired woman worked with me, and her attitude was very judgmental and short-tempered overall. I am new to the shipping process and she offered no guidance and was rude when I didn't know or understand something.
Terrible, absolutely terrible. Every. Single. Time. I go in to get a package the staff take over THIRTY MINUTES to help other customers in front of me or the staff is shopping around and talking to friends instead of being able to help me. Absolutely garbage service
Want to come to this location I feel like the staff don’t really want to help me. Now I understand why thing are going electronic as the customer service aspect of things is going downhill pretty quickly
Canada post supposed to be available till 7PM, however the door was closed 5min before 7. If it is how it is supposed to be, change the official working time!
This has to be the WORST post office in Oakville. Second time I’ve gone to pick up a package at their posted hours and they’re randomly closed… waste of time
Was declined to send more than 3 packages because it was policy over the weekend. Stated was “Too Busy”. I was the only customer in the store.
every time I go there the service just isn’t good… I wish they would put some effort into finding staff who actually likes going to work.
Wonderful service. Comprehnsive Prompt shipping of packages and mail items with multiple options and packing materials. Patient staff.
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PLACE IVE EVER BEEN.. THE OLD LADY AT THE FRONT WAS THE RUDIST PERSON IVE EVER MET!!!!
The lady was quite kind to me and she was able to process 2 small packages quickly and efficiently!
Worst post office ever! Checked opening hours before coming to pick up a package but it’s closed.
As mentioned in other reviews already, tall lady with long black hair needs more training
The lady works there does not allow me to return more than 3 items. What a joke
the staff have been unfriendly and unwilling to help on more than one occasion
Everytime ive been there the staff have been cold and reluctant to help me
Sometimes easy going, other times extremely slow.
Old lady at the counter was super helpful.
Fast service, in and out.
Wish i could give a 0
