"How is any working person supposed to be able to pick up a parcel between 10am-1230, 1:30-3pm ? The people are pleasant but I can’t leave work 2 1/2 hours early just to get a parcel that should have been delivered to our door"

1) I had a very important package that needed to be shipped to a hospital over night. I paid for that service, the next day i find the package in my mailbox. The moron delivered the package to the FROM address. I went back there with the package, explained everything, they refused to give me back my money that i paid for over night package and said i had to wait until after the weekend to ship it, then told me to deal with Canada Post over the phone for anything else. 2) Delivery truck never shuts the mailbox when he delivers at the end of the laneway, rain and snow get in there all the time because of it. Never attempts to deliver the boxes, even the odd days i am home from work, i see him drive by without trying. I called and explained that i literally saw him drive by without even trying to delivery and all I am told is "oh we'll let him know". This has been going on for 2 years now, pure laziness. That type of service makes me happy that postal workers are losing their jobs. There is one nice lady at that location though that is happy and cheerful, nothing but good things to say about her.
How is any working person supposed to be able to pick up a parcel between 10am-1230, 1:30-3pm ? The people are pleasant but I can’t leave work 2 1/2 hours early just to get a parcel that should have been delivered to our door. Especially when your postal worker doesn’t even try to deliver, just drives on by... Never closes the door so your mail gets wet, never put the flag up, we constantly get our neighbors mail. Just wow... can’t believe the laziness. I’ve complained, neighbors have complained... nothing has ever changed. Except when he’s on holidays ... I actually get my mail and the flag is up.
Send your mail elsewhere like a family member in the city or sign up of email. This post office has such horrible hours for someone who works in the city you’ll never be able to get your packages. Google will tell you their hours but when you show up they have different hours posted on the door. I’ve had packages returned because I can’t physically get into the office to pick it up because no one is there. There needs to be a better more reliable solution for this Canada post. Because this is just ridiculous.
I don't want to come off as someone who thinks Canada Post is terrible, because I don't.. However, the service provided by this post office could be much better. Packages often don't get delivered because they are deemed "to heavy". One of the packages they wouldn't deliver was a small 1.5 lbs box. Its quite the trek into town to get my packages. I was told the driver is older and won't carry packages. Perhaps the wrong profession? The hours are awful too.. Closing at 3? Closed for lunch.
I often get the wrong mail in my P.O. box, which is concerning. The hours are aweful for anyone with an in-office 9-5 job, though at least they are open on Saturdays for a few hours. That being said, at least the employees here are always friendly and nice to work with!
Always mix-ups and wasted time on picking up already delivered packages. They need competent staff and a "system" that ALL staff follows and adheres to. Who is the manager there and why is there no system?
I'm afraid I'll get my head ripped off for not conforming to very specific regulations - very similar to first day of boot camp.
A small country post office.
