Best footwear buying experience ever! Very few businesses provide service like this anymore. Over one hour to find the perfect shoe and orthotic insert. It was all about finding the right shoe. I have had excruciating bunionette pain - like a nail in the side of my foot type pain! The New Balance 840/4 Running shoes are perfect - I have zero pain. They really cared about getting me the right show for my foot and my pain issue. I also got sandals and they watch how you walk and make professional recommendations. They see things that you don't as you walk and advise based on that. The ECCO sandals are perfect for my feet. I can't say enough about the foot wear buying experience it was amazing. Little tips about how to put on your shoes and take them to extend the life of them and to provide better support - (I never knew). I checked the price versus the new Balance website and it was exactly the same so they are right on there to. I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality foot wear that actually fits correctly. What price is the service and professionalism worth ? You don't get that buying on a website or going to your average footwear shop. Thank you Canadian Footwear you put a big smile on face! Job well done. You have a customer for life. I traveled way out of my was to buy a higher quality insole For my shoes . They were very expensive ( $47.15 for one pair ) , which is ok as long as they feel comfortable. I needed two pairs but I did not want to have to buy one try it out and then have to come back to buy a second pair . The issue was when I asked if I buy two pairs tried one out for a couple of weeks and not even open the second pair . only if the first pair did not feel good return the unused second pair . The manager said that they could not all insoles are final sale . I told her I live across the city and did not want to have to come back to buy another pair if they felt good . I even suggested putting the one pair of insoles in a bag taping it shut having her initial it so she knows I did not even open it . She said no and was so short and almost arrogant with me . I told her if I leave I will not ever be coming back , she said that's fine . I honestly don't think I was asking too much . I wanted to save my time and gas money ,

Shopping for shoes is often an exercise of futility: my feet are too narrow, my heels feel blistered before I leave the store, ... TODAY, however, was exceptional. Not only did the store have the perfect shoe, and in my size, the shoe specialist (yes, as a foot health centre, each employee studies extensively in order to KNOW what is best for one’s foot and is able to explain why) was the greatest. Roha made me laugh and not feel like just another crusty cracked heel with whom she had to deal. She brought out a pair I had not considered and discovered they are my new favourites! In addition, I was afforded the opportunity to meet Amanda Bushby (the new pedorthist) who confirmed that the shoe Roha suggested was best for my foot and its “special” requirements. As an orthotic wearer, I have often been frustrated by the way they rub/squeak in shoes - I feel I can be heard for miles. This is my first shoe that fits the orthotic AND is unbelievably comfortable for my feet.

I bought a pair of Cambrian shoes and am very dissatisfied. They are falling apart and the store is only offering a sale price discount on a new pair. You would think that spending near $200 on a pair of shoes they would last at least a year. I would not recommend purchasing from this store with their inflated prices, inferior products and their lack of standing behind products they supply. Reply to Erica's response. The shoes were worn daily for 9 months. I've had shoes for much cheaper from Walmart that lasted longer with the same use. I would have expected shoes with a $200 price tag to hold up at least a year. The sole was falling off and all you could offer is 25% discount? That's not helping out a customer, that's giving a sale price. I did email back and forth with your manager Joshua R and felt nothing but demeaned by him and never once felt that he was interested in making the situation right.

Just wanted to give this store a great recommend. Particular the store clerk named Roha. She was supper helpful in recommending a pair of sole flip flops for me and my feet have never been happier. I had called the store asking about another brand of flip flop to see if they had it in stock. By the time I had arrived Roha had taken the time to do a little research to recommend another brand of flip flop that she had thought were better for my feet. I am so thankfull she took the time to sell me something I needed rather than something I thought I wanted. Even after she gave me the sole flip flops to try on I was unsure of the size. I thought I needed something bigger. Roha was pretty adamant that these were the correct size. My feet have been really happy. I even convinced my father in law to purchase the same sole flip flops. Thank you Roha.

I had a great experience at this store, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The store has a low capacity due to covid restrictions so there was a little bit of a wait. The store manager took my name, phone number and what kind of shoe I was looking for(runners) then I waited outside and was called in just before they closed. There was a great selection of styles to choose from, the associate I had was great! He was able to assess how I walked and chose the best shoe for me. I would totally recommend this store to anyone who is looking for great quality service and footwear. As for the price, I think your feet are something to be pampered you only get 2 of them so take care of them and they are very happy with the price for the product.

Bought a pair of running shoes for $200. Was told that I pronate. So i bought a pair that can help correct that. They hurt my feet terribly so I took them back on the last day I was able to return them. The foot doctor that was there that day told me to just switch out my inserts. She even grinded down a new insert. Told me not to return them and to try out the new inserts. Took them home and it wasnt any better. Can't return them now because it was past the 15 days. I've been trying to make them work but they cause so much pain I can't walk in them any longer that 15-20 mins. I am super unimpressed that I wasnt allowed to just return them as I have now wasted $200 on a pair of shoes I can't wear.

Had salesperson order size 8 and half shoes in from another store as the 9 was too big. Called me to tell me that the shoes were in. I went in yesterday to try them on and he ordered me a 9. Yes, the 9 is STILL too big. Salesgirl said she would reorder the 8 and half. Then she phoned me last night and said that they are on hold for someone else. I told her that if he would have ordered me the right size in the first place they would not be on hold for someone else. All she said was sorry. No solution offered. Not a great customer service experience, I will shop somewhere else.

I had the pleasure of meeting Amanda Bushby recently, in order to have a replacement pair of Orthotics made. Amanda is the consummate professional, and knows her business very well. She listened to my needs and concerns, and provided detailed information which was very useful to me. I am now wearing my new Orthotics, and have had one adjustment made to accommodate my arthritis. I had an amazing experience the moment I walked in. I was looking all over Calgary and couldn't find a good shoe store at all, but the moment I came in I found what I needed. This young guy in training named Chris really helped me out, he immediately offered to help. He measured my feet, and then found the exact pair of shoes I was looking for. It took me so long to find a great place, and my shoe problem was taken care of swiftly. Thank you Chris for helping me out, you deserve recognition for your amazing customer service!

This is the first shoe store I have been to that has selections in stock for wide feet - they even had shoes that were too wide for me, something that has never happened before in a shoe store. The one staff member who assisted me was so helpful; other customers who came through the door were attended to by other staff members right away. This is a place that does not subscribe to the idea that shoes have to be 'worn in' a great deal before they can be comfortable. Thanks, everyone at Canadian Footwear!

It's fine but don't bother trying to even return your shoes. I wore my shoes ONCE on pavement and they "couldn't accept the return" despite never saying anything about a conditional return policy. You should atleast say "Hey we're an awful business that won't let you return our products" before you sell someone shoes. But of course that kind of introspection might lead them to uncomfortable thoughts about their policies. Good service; and just like with my shoes: I'll never return here again.

I am a returning customer because the service is always excellent and I am usually able to find a shoe for the particular need. I was back again on Friday and purchased a pair of New Balance shoes for summer walking. Rene was so patient and helpful. It took a bit of time but she was able to find the perfect pair. The proof was when I did a lot of walking on Saturday on a concrete floor in a large building. This was the first time wearing the shoes and they felt just great!

Lol - we walked in and showed the sales people some shoes that we wanted to try to buy. The guy pointed at the wall. Just some friendly customer service advice - even if you don’t have the shoes, you try to find the customer an alternative and if you can’t find them an alternative you recommend them to go to another shoe store. The only way you can differentiate yourself from other shoe stores is impeccable customer service. This is a mediocre store with mediocre staff.

My wife and I purchased new runners from Canadian Footwear today. Very comfy, high quality shoes. We were helped by an affable and knowledgeable sales rep by the name of Justin S. He was very patient and spent a lot of time with us. He brought us several pairs of shoes and carefully explained the differences between them--impressive! Canadian Footwear has great shoe selection and with reps like Justin, it's a terrific shoe shopping experience.

I have been looking for water proof extra wide ladies shoes to continue with my health journey. The lady at this store was super helpful, informative, and did not give up until she found me the proper shoes. Very happy that we stopped in, and they did not charge extra on top of the sticker price, as we experienced at another shoe store that is locally owned. In all, very pleased with the REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE, that was courteous and genuine.

Useless. Called ahead to ask if they had a good selection of foot ware in a certain size. Yes they said. So loaded the kids into the car and travelled in to check the selection out only to fine that they had 1 pair of foot ware in stock in the size I called ahead about and unfortunately they looked like they would fall apart in a short period of wear time. Walked out and will never return even though we were existing customers.

Never have I been so affronted by a store's "policies"! I was met by 2 salespeople in full Covid gear and asked for my contact info (in a shoe store?). Then we had our temperatures taken...in a shoe store!!!! Once allowed to proceed to look at the insanely overpriced shoes, we receives no service and no answers to questions as we mused aloud about product comfort. We were the only 2 customers in the store. NEVER RETURNING!

Had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back! The Manager was at the door as the store was at capacity due to the Covid protocols. We had a great chat and he apologized for the wait (which was very short) and then once I entered the store they were able to find what I was looking for in two colours. Fast, easy payment and super nice to deal with. Thanks for a great experience!

I have size 13, 4E width. They found stuff for me. They are therefore awesome. The have both Men and Women's sizes. Little formalwear for Men, but a few selections. Primarily similar to what you'd find in something like Sport Chek, but better size selections, though less brands. Very much a "New Balance" (and their other owned brands) store, but that's what I was looking for.

I was looking for wide winter boots to fit my 8.5 months pregnant swollen feet. The manager was amazing. She helped me try everything on to ensure fit and also made sure I was comfortable. This was by far the best experience I have ever had at a shoe store. Thank you so much for the attention and support, I will definitely be a returning customer in the future.

Extremely disinterested sales staff and not a great selection. The “Manager”, was borderline rude. Very disappointed as have had great experiences at the store at Crowfoot. I value good service and hope that this experience was a one off. We all have moments that don’t work but service needs to be good to keep a business profitable.

My grandma ordered sandals off the website and she is very impressed!! From the foot chart we could print off to get her size to how fast it got delivered and how comfy and pretty her sandals are! She even had a hand written thank you card in the shoe box!!! 100% will recommend this store and 100% will buy here again!!!

Great service and selection! Amanda Bushby is the best for custom orthotics! There really is a difference, I went through 2 “ custom “ pairs before having them made with Amanda, it was like night and day the difference in the quality! Highly recommend, I won’t get shoes or orthotics anywhere else!

After years of searching I finally found a place that have shoes that fit me ( I have large and wide feet). The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful when finding a shoe that's perfect for me. Excellent selection of shoes, reasonable prices, highly recommend it!

Booked an appointment to get new orthotics, and had confirmed twice that the clinic could prescribe the orthotics, and I was told yes. When I showed up for my appointment with Amanda she was 10 minutes late, and then I was told she could not prescribe orthotics.

My wife and I went shopping for slippers for Xmas gifts. Great service in helping us determine the sizes for the family, staff were friendly and knew all about the different brands of slippers We also bought 2 prs for ourselves- absolutely love them!

Canadian Footware is the best place to go if you are looking for comfy shoes. Unlike other reviews they are comparable in price and have product on site. Believe me I have shopped around. The staff is wonderful and will bend over backwards for you.

The staff member that served me was very rude wanted me to take the runners that she picked then advised me she will put my refusal on my file i left the store and will never go back i have been going to canadian foot wear for years.

Had to wait 2 hours to get in because they only allow one customer per sales person, only to find out they didnt carry the shoe in store i wanted, and had called to confirm they had in stock. My interactions with the staff were nice.

If you want the worst serve ever head in here. Seem like nobody wanted to help me and then when I finally got some help the guy couldn’t even tell me if he had something in stock he was useless. Not impressed at all. Waste of my time

The saleswoman straight up lies. The “grippy” boots she encouraged me to buy are like waxed skis on ice. Very shady business. You will end up buying an expensive product with no way of returning it. Steer clear!
