Got the help I needed within minutes of walking aimlessly around. Got a library card and was also able to access hundreds of ebooks online. I was passing through so I don't have the full information yet but the experience was so good I'll be spend more of my time there
It's so bad. The poorest resources. Only one tiny segment of the building dedicated to the Library and the adults section and children sections are merged. The noise levels are outrageous and staff choose not to do anything about it. Poor. Newham Libraries are a joke.
The library is on few minutes away from my house, and it's one of my favorite places. I always come here if I want to read something interesting. They have a huge collection of audio books, which is really great. All in all, it's a great place to go and chill out.
A great local library with modern facilities and friendly staff. A good place to bring your kids for reading and other activities. The library also has rooms that can be hired by members of the public. Check with staff for prices and availability.
Nice library but too noisy. And stuff doesn't care much to shut down people. Even the librarians are talking lauder and screaming between them to share a conversation with everyone. Really sad library that I don't know why they open one.....
I was helped By Anisha considerably, her help with a huge task was A Great Appreciation. I would highly recommend this Library and Study Hub. A Fantastic Library and Very Efficient Online And Telephone Membership Service. I arrived with a
The noisiest library i have ever been in London ! I have been around 15. Maybe it is because it is new . Sometimes to many staff around communicating loudly( including two of the managers). People answering telephone calls , making phone
The staff are super helpful, and the facilities are all clean and modern. Very pleased with this space and the friendly service I received. There are lots of noisy children playing games on the computers, which is annoying. I don't think
What an absolute joke of a place. Is it a library or a social club? Teenagers socialising everywhere and parents allowing their kids to run riot. Staff have no clue. I think they're happy just not to be bothered, as any request for help
It has very limited amount of books for children but many activities and classes are available to people, which are really helpful, especially for people who dont know english. I oftern went there when I was in primary school, and it was
London I've never really had a bad experience in Canning Town library. At least the computers are in working order and you can get decent WiFi. I like some of the announcement over the tannoy, they're funny. The staff are very good and
A great place for children, I went with three kids ages 1, 5 and 7. I loved the children’s area it is separate from the main library and has a door so if you have a baby it gives you peace of mind! It was my first time and a librarian
Sad experience for a library. Way too small. Areas crammed together. Staff don’t really have common sense or maybe notion of what a library is for. Sad that the #NewhamCouncil has decided to invest so little in a library. With so may
Canning town library is a clean spacious space that also run free workshop funded by the Community Assembly for the Community in differents rooms. For example on Saturday 19 of November 2022 will hot a Free Art fashion workshop
Great library! They have a large selection of books, free Wi-Fi, a wide variety of CDs and DVDs and definitely comfortable armchairs. The staff is remarkably courteous and knowledgeable and always willing to help.
A beautifully fresh library and study space. They also have Street Dance classes for kids on Mondays at 4pm which is great, aswell as other activities for adults and children. Friendly and helpful staff!
The photos all relate to the old Canning Town library which is soon to be converted and is in Barking Rd, opposite the newer Custom House and Canning Town library, whose address is shown.
It's a good place to spend time studying a subject or reading a book, but unfortunately it can be noisy at times. It would be good to open one of the rooms for students who need silence.
Its not OPEN!!! Everytime i lve come here within working hours this past month it is closed. It is 4:30pm right now and online it says 8pm closing time!!! This is such a waste of time!!!
Waaay too noisy to concentrate. Even the staff talk loudly amongst themselves and entertain loud babies. To all students, please be advised that all the good reviews are from families
The staff are amazing, lovely and really helpful. But the computers and software they use is really bad to use and out date. They take forever to use. Expect a printout to take 30min
The Staff of this library sat today Saturday 13/11/21 chatting in loud voices. Talking about everything from colleagues not present to past events and challenges of the library.
quite a good atmosphere, you feel comfortable and are able to pick up a book and read it without any interference. Staff are helpful when you have a question or query.
Been here a couple of times with the family, so only really been in the kids section which is very nice, good selection of books for the little ones.
Usually its lovely. Todays the staff specially an asiatic lady and a young lady ery very rude. They shouldn't be working there.
It's always pleasant. Staff are helpful and nice. The only issues/ problems is the book scanning machines always break down.
I love this library. It's not very quiet, but is a central community point in Canning Town where you
Most of the time it is noisy and I've had to leave because I wasn't able to study there.
Very nice clean place. Staff are helpful, always have a smile on
Nice library. They have meeting rooms at the back
