This park is multi use for everyone and centrally located in the county. There is hiking, where you can see a nice waterfall or you can visit a historic ranchouse to see a touch of history. You can access many trails for mountain biking or horseback riding. There are several sports fields as well!

I come here to walk regularly. Almost a full mile around the perimeter of the park, I do 4 miles. I really wish they would do something about the dip in the driveway entrance. I can drive in with no problem, but both of my slightly lowered cars scrape pretty badly when trying to drive out.

Canyonside Community Park is a great place for the little ones. We take our children here a lot. A lot of activities happen here, including tennis, cricket, football, baseball, and more. Definitely the place to go with little one. Loved it. Definitely recommend going there.

Very little shade. The parking is usually rough. Just recently additional parking has been added. The bathrooms are a very long walk from the west end of the fields. Fields are in bad shape. Marshy in some parts of the field but dust dry in others. More

Great park with a nice rec center, clean bathrooms, well maintained baseball fields, good basketball courts and trailhead parking for Los Penasquitos Canyon hiking and biking. Car burglars do frequent the west end ( hiker cars), so be smart.

  • Lynda Stites

This park has a great tennis center but the website is not helpful for those who are not familiar with the procedures regarding the availability of courts for those who are not regular players. We got bumped off two courts in succession due

This facility could be so much nicer if maintained, but isn't horrible as it is. Small little death traps riddle the fields (see pictures of metal rusty thing on walkpath), dirty latrines, and abused snack bars with bent security gates...

Lots of nice trails that are connected to this park. lots of wide open field and sport courts for recreational use. Came here once at night and saw an entire family of deer hanging out in the middle of the field. Was an awesome experience

Large park with multiple ball fields. Site for several scheduled events such as youth baseball championship games. There's a YMCA on site for young children. Several tennis courts available. Tennis lessons offered. Restrooms available,

The park is good for sports. We are here every Saturday for soccer. There are public bathrooms between the second and third fields.i have only been in the gym building once for kid gymnastics. It is not new and fancy, but it works.

What a great and beautiful neighborhood park! Perfect for just about any activity and very kid friendly. Well kept grounds, shady trees, clean facilities, and a very active recreation center. Great for dogs too!

  • Brendan Vannie

Nice flat, easy hiking with historical landmarks and waterfall destinations. Great for bikers, horseback riders, families, and picnics. Amateur and highly-skilled trail blazers alike can have a great day here.

This is a great portal into PQ canyon. Good starting point for a bike ride or a run. The baseball fields are really nice. Parking is the downside here. I regularly see people parking illegally over curbs etc.

  • David Terzibachian

Top quality park that has all kinds of sports available to the families in the area. Mainly a baseball and gymnastics park but also a lot of soccer going on! Plenty of grass and parking for big events.

My children and I frequent this park for recreation and as a place to recycle our eye of newt and chicken bones. If you scatter the remnants of hexes and curses here, be sure to bury a clove of

Good place to park the access the preserve without having to pay. I appreciate the money goes to up keep, but I can't afford 3 dollar parking every time I wanna go on a nice hike...

Great parking for the penasquitos Canyon trailhead... If you get there in time. On a Saturday, you want to make sure you get there early to get a parking spot by the trailhead.

Beautiful park with a fun playground, nice bathrooms & trail heads to start a hike or mountain biking through the rancho peñasquitos trails.

  • Stephen Mattson

Good trail ride however with all the rain a while back they added more rock on the return. This made riding a bit more arduous.

  • Matthew Cannon

This park is a mecca of sports: baseball, soccer, tennis; softball. There is a trail that heads out the back to the preserve.
