"The playground is lovely and nice for the neighborhood"
"Its a nice park"
"Best toddler swings we've found in our 'hood but the bathrooms are not that clean and there are often rowdy older kids throwing balls around or having water fights"
"Beautiful new/redone playground with lots of fun climbing structures and a water feature"
"I'm 58 years old"
The playground is lovely and nice for the neighborhood. Though mostly played is basketball and for me who loves Volleyball, I get disappointed most times as most American Playgrounds are already designed to attract basketballs and basketball lovers. Though, its spacious enough, built within reasonable standards to accommodate young teenagers from 10 years through adult of any age. There are places where you could sit down and watch as the game is going on and you could enjoy your views. There is a bound between all the neighborhoods, everyone knows each others and the young people tend to keep to themselves when ever a stranger appears. Though, security is guaranteed in this playground. There are other lovely places to sit and enjoy yourselves without necessarily viewing the games if you choose not to. There is no disrespect of any kind, the adult in the neighborhood seems to be more relax and friendly than the young people.
Its a nice park. They have all the essentials of a NYC park. Swings, things to climb, water sprouts, bathrooms, basketball court, handball, have movies in the summer and little thingsfor the kids. Like today there was a puppetshow, i missed it.. Naturally there could be somethings that could be better. But my child loves it and always meets friends when we go. I love how its not huge and close to our home.
Best toddler swings we've found in our 'hood but the bathrooms are not that clean and there are often rowdy older kids throwing balls around or having water fights. Worse still, the toddler climbing structure is infested with mosquitoes due to the stagnant water caused by poor drainage from the sprinklers.
Beautiful new/redone playground with lots of fun climbing structures and a water feature. There are little kid swings but not big kid swings. There are bathrooms and a water fountain. The play structures are slightly shaded by trees. There are plenty of benches around.
I'm 58 years old. This park was part of my youth. The battles in the "battle ground" didn't just occur on the courts. It was kinda scary as a kid. But, then again, all of Harlem was a battle. And we are stronger today. The scars & wounds are badges of honor!
Its horrible how a whole high school can just come and ruin little kids fun. I take care of three young children ages 1 & 3 I always take them to the park, and this day I took them to this specific park at around 11, I want to say like 20
The old park was much better. And, had more activities to do. This park was designed for children 7 years or younger. There are no slides, monkey bars or swings for older children. However, the park is nice.
Great park for kids of most ages. But there's a pigeon lady out front who does not want your kid any where near her hundreds of pigeons gathered all right next to the entry way. It's not a zoo, after all.
We love this playground and visit every weekend with our toddler. There is often a lot of litter and garbage not cleaned up in the morning however and constant issues with standing water not draining
It's ok for basketball and court games that need a wall but for kids between 6-10 it can be very very boring. The play apparatus is lame.
Sand put, water sprayers, and playground equipment. It's really large and has bathrooms. It's right next to the dog park. A great park.
This Playground has been recently updated within the last Three yrs. There are basketball rims here as well. Very kid friendly.
I go here for school recess i love going here afterschool and for free time it's fun but sometimes serious things can go down
Great park to bring kids. My father lives near by and I bring my kids to this park. Very friendly neighbors.
This park is kept clean and safe, but is a little cramped. Ten pounds of potatoes in a five pound bag.
Different areas for different ages of kids, public restrooms, and it's very well maintained!
It was a great day in Carmansville Park for National Night. The kids had a terrific time.
Its a really good park to do thing like play, hag with your friends, and do many .more
Newly renovated playground. Great area for toddlers. Wish they cleaned more often...
Great outlet for young people...to play and put down hand held device!!!
You see a place where you can find peace and breathe fresh air
great park in the morning not too many people there.
No longer have big kid swings. Very unfortunate.
Nice park for kids with 30th precinct connected
It's cool but remember it's still in the hood.
