Carmen Andrews has been a superb physio over the course of my Iron man training and participation the last few years. As oppose to just treating the symptoms of the injuries I have sustained, she takes the effort to treat the root cause of the injuries to help prevent similar injuries in the future. By identifying the root cause of my injuries she has empowered me to take active steps in strengthening any weaknesses in various muscles etc. She helped rehabilitate a significant tear in my Achilles tendon, tears in my plantar fascia and even lower back injuries from extensive cycling and due to her treatment I was still able to compete in 2 full Iron Man events and successfully completing them without aggravating past injuries. Carmen actually takes the time to listen to her clients, makes the effort to understand their training and lifestyle needs. She then actively works towards find a lasting solution for any injuries you are being treated for. She provides honest feedback while being kind and acting with integrity at the same time. I started physio with Carmen the day after my cast was removed following an ankle operation. The experience was great, especially the clear instructions with links for your take home exercises making it simple to get back to full strength. 3 months post cast removal I am now jogging, doing Yoga and back with my personal trainer. All done safely, thanks to good guidance from my physio.
