Today is the assumption so our regular trot to Esselunga was off the cards so we walked back towards the old city, parallel to the river (passing the also closed Penny), and called into this, our third since arriving a few weeks ago in Florence, Carrefour Express. Of course it's always going to be a bit more expensive than the larger supermarkets out of town, I can never understand tourists complaining about this, and it is an express so choice is slightly limited but I emphasise the slightly here - this is a pretty decent experience given you're only a 5 min walk from the Arno and another 5 from the centre. Service was brisk and efficient and it makes a change that you walk out onto a park rather than a litter-strewn, pedestrian-charged corridor (sorry Firenze!).

Mittelgroßer Supermarkt mit Obst und Gemüse Theke, Kühlregalen und Fleisch-Theke. Auswahl an Tee, Gebäck und Getränken ist vorhanden. Auch nicht sehr überfüllt.

Un pò caro, a volte trovato prodotti scaduti. Non accetta pagamento con codice postepay (QR) nonostante segnalato su sito delle Poste.

Prodotti buoni e personale gentile.
