This cafe is beautifully aesthetic and has the beverage quality to back up the looks! After going out for brunch, my boyfriend and I were looking for a cute cafe nearby that we could go to and do some studying for our classes. That's when we came across Carrera Cafe as a highly rated spot, and decided to give it a try. The parking was relatively easy, there's a lot of street parking on the street outside. It's situated on the hip and trendy Melrose Ave, I love the location! The cafe is very befitting of its hip locale as well, with a very white-and-black styled interior that is so cute and aesthetic. I love the white tables, black chairs, white quartz counters, white brick walls, and the white and black menu board!! It's definitely one of my favorite cafe's in terms of decor and atmosphere now. It's very crowded, but the line moves fast, and we ordered two of the specialty sodas, which you can select flavors for. I got raspberry, and my boyfriend got strawberry. Both flavors were delicious, and the drinks rich and creamy! The only detraction is how hot it was inside, but that's understandable given the high heats in Los Angeles right now and the fact that it was so heavily crowded inside. The prices were quite reasonable, the atmosphere and decor so hip and cute, and the drinks were refreshing and wonderful! Oh, and they have really good free WiFi!! I'll be back! You hit all the marks for me, Carrera Cafe!

I was conflicted between a 3 and 4-star rating, because while I loved the shop and the amazing coffee art, I absolutely hated the service and the taste was alright. What attracted me to Carrera Cafe was - without a doubt - their coffee art options. They have a good list of various coffee art designs that one can choose from or if you download the "Ripples" app, you can actually have your own photo "printed" in the foam of your drink. According to the girl behind the register, the drinks that you can ask for art on are latte, chai latte and hot chocolate. Needless to say, my crazy self got all 3 drinks and waffles for dessert the day my friend and I visited. My favorite drink taste-wise was the chai latte, while the other ones tasted just whatever. The waffles were pretty good and as you can see from my pictures, they came with a twist as you don't get just regular waffle, but rather waffle sticks with whipped cream at the bottom and other toppings for additional cost. Their menu also offers subs and salads. The shop itself is very cute with tall windows and good amount of seating.

We went in for the scavenger hunt for the Elton John concert tickets. It was really hard to find the QR code and any thing related to Elton John we waited in line and we’re going to order a drink when we got up to order we were completely ignored for at least a minute we decided not to order anything and just went onto our next destination. I was extremely disappointed everything looked and smelled delicious I was really looking forward to trying one of their cappuccinos. It would be nice if they were a little bit more focused on customer service so more people could be able to try the products. It’s a Sunday the lines were long but that should be expected for such a cute location. 10 out of 10 would probably not recommend going on a Sunday maybe try another day where it’s not so busy didn’t try anything so I don’t know how the food is.

Cute place, good food but the costumer service wasn’t what we expected. My friends & I ordered 3 açaí bowls & it took them an hour to make 2 of them for us. When we told the young skinny guy in the red hat at the register we were missing one he said “I thought you had already gotten them” with attitude. A little over 30 minutes passed by and still no açaí bowl because he was too busy flirting. I went up again to remind him and let him know it’s been over an hour & all he said was “it’s been over a hour? damn” & laughed. I understand they were busy but we were costumers too & it wasn’t our fault he was flirting and using his phone.To top it off the açaí bowls were made with more fruit than anything. What we wanted to be a quick stop turned out into a 2 hour stop. Sad experience to be honest.

A nice corner cafe on Melrose. We had the Melrose Chopped Salad, Nicoise Salad, and Loaded Avocado Toast. Each was excellent. Finished with a red velvet Oreo donut, and some juices like H2 Rose Apple Prime water, Pressed strawberry Orange Mango and a Blueberry Mint Vybes. All together it was a very pleasant lunch. Only knock on it was the bad music which was not family friendly.

The idea of printed latte art just blew my mind. Unfortunately when we went, the machine that lets you send in personal pictures to have the the latte was down. So we had to select from a list that they had. I got their Earl Grey with milk and it was delicious!!! Stayed in the coffee shop to study/work and eventually got hungry. I ended up getting their açai bowl and it was delicious!

Waited 40 minutes for a basic sandwich (the cafe was not busy) and when it arrived it was very small and poorly filled. There was so little feta I couldn’t even taste it. It was advertised as having heirloom tomatos but it was just watery flavourless salad tomatos. Very disappointed considering the price. Husband got egg sandwich with truffle mushroom and again the amount of filling was pathetic. He said he couldn’t taste any truffle at all. The previous day we came for drinks and the coffees were very good, plus the staff gave us a doughnut on the house as it was almost closing. So that was nice, but overall cannot recommend.

I would have gave this place a 5 but one of the baristas was so rude to me and he wasn’t even taking my order. I went with my daughter in law and as I was ordering I asked the guy that was taking my order for an iced caramel macchiato, as soon as I said that the barista that was standing behind him interrupted me and said : we don’t do those here I’m just letting you know we don’t do that here. The other guy that was helping him looked at him like okay. So I just ignored him and proceeded to place my order. The helpful young man said yes I can make and iced caramel coffee for you. I don’t know if the other guy was having a bad day but he was extremely rude. So wish I would have gotten his name.

Carrera Cafe demands the fashion within you to be released. It makes you want to come fashionably dressed with chic looks and cute styles. It holds a strong media presence with a lot of cute interior decor that will make great photos, including across the street outside for its wall and the pink wall being its neighbor. There's a lot of interesting things here, including their famed imaged drinks which makes it a fun activity. The people here are nice and friendly. The food is "okay", with the strength of it mostly being its drinks and sweet appetizers. Definitely recommended to come and grab a drink to catch up with a friend.

Mitchell not sure if he was the manager or not but he should be did an amazing job helping out me and my hungover friends figure out what we wanted. He didnt even get upset when I politely told him that the drink I ordered was gross he helped me find something I actually liked. Will definitely stop back in

Located on Melrose, the Cafe was clean and had great customer service. I had a large arugula salad with grilled chicken, goat cheese, sliced almonds, dried fig, cherry tomatoes, and avocado with a lemon vinegarette dressing. I also had a cappuccino with a picture of my grandmother on the foam. What a great idea! They have a cute little patio off to the side where you can eat and people watch.

If you are looking for a quick bite, delicious and healthy options, this is the place If you are looking for instagram feeders, this is the place If you are looking for a good coffee, this is the place In short, great snacks, delicious food and a good time as long as you are not crowded by the IG feeders, its a great place to grab a bite. I ordered to go because I am not a fan of that culture. The staff was courteous and friendly. The Mediterranean sandwich was a bit pricey but their bread was so fresh and crispy, it made it all worth it. Do go atleast once, for an experience.

I chanced upon this place during a hot day and I was very impressed with the affordable but yet delectable gelato offered by this cosy cafe! During the circuit breaker period, I was looking for great ice cream/gelato to deliver to a friend’s place in the west. Was glad to find out Carrera offered such a service! I purchased 5 pints of ice cream and delivery charge was on the house! Service is friendly and the delivery was prompt! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an ice cream/gelato fix during this period!

We visited the shop for my daughter to get the opportunity to see the tik tok artist Laufey. This was one of the locations to visit on the itinerary. They were packed we only had time to get a sandwich which my daughter said was good. Due to the event wait time for a drink was upwards of an hour. We will visit again on a regular day to actually try a drink. Staff kept the crowd contained and didn’t lose their cool. Still providing good customer service.

Located around decent amounts of streetside meter parking with 2hr limits (can pay for more if you wait til it's about to expire of course). Has free, fast wifi and good food and coffee. Recommend the waffles (they come cut up and in a cup but delicious). The only downside is the loud music if you plan on being there for longer like reading or working on a laptop. Not awful, but can be annoying to some. Great music choices though.

Not sure what the hype is about Carrera Cafe. Both of our drinks were made incorrectly. First it was made Hot when asked for an iced rose matcha latte then the iced matcha latte didn't have any rose in it. Another iced chai was not made in the reusable cup we provided. We ordered two sandwiches one breakfast sandwich and one il vegetariono sandwich. Both sandwiches were on baguette bread which was very tough and hard. Bread did not appear fresh. Overall just disappointed after it was hyped up so much.

This place is so cute and and welcoming. Upon arrival my friend and i were super intimidated because of the area and the presence of the little cafe but when we entered we were met my an employee with a laker hat. Super welcoming and patient and informative! Give that man a raise!!! He told us the specials and even recommended some flavors and items. I ordered the rose latte and he recommended including a pump of vanilla; that man knows what he’s talking about! No regrets with this place.

I really did enjoy this restaurant that are pretty good they have a decent selection of coughing I tried to breakfast sandwich which was impressive The wait wasn't too long and the staff was nice it's a place that would be cool to check out if you're in the area you will most likely enjoy it The other cool part is that they have a little photo wall so if you want to take your Instagram photos you could do that or even go to the paul Smith pink wall across the street check that out too

I usually get an iced oat milk latte and sandwich from Carrera, and it never disappoints. The coffee they use is strong & delicious. I’ve had their breakfast sandwich as well as the tuna, club, turkey, and caprese - all of which I’ve enjoyed. Was pleasantly surprised by the egg sandwich- not much inside but the bread and ingredients are fresh & make for a simple, appetizing breakfast. Plus - decor and ambiance are cute & the workers there are always so nice and helpful.

Bitter espresso, you’d think for an almost $10 drink you’d get some type of quality control. Food is mediocre and ingredients aren’t fresh. Their shelf and refrigerator items are just over priced for no reason oh and while I watched my drink being made I saw roaches (: maybe invest in some pest control? Overhyped spot for sure, you’re better off at starbucks. Customer service is the only decent thing there.

Love this little cafe! Delicious sandwiches and salads! Ingredients are always fresh. Staff is so friendly. Welcoming environment. I recommend the Caprese sandwich and Goat Cheese salad. Location is great - on the corner of Melrose and Harper - directly across from the instagram-famous Paul Smith Pink Wall. Parking can be tough though so be sure to read the neighborhood street signs for restrictions or feed your parking meter to avoid parking tickets.

My mango salmon salad was so fresh and delicious. The service was great. Great location to pop in for a bite alone or with someone else. Cute small tables both inside and outside. This quaint cafe is home to stellar munchables, excellent coffee, and is both minimalistic and beautiful inside. There is free WiFi, and it's common to see everyone sitting around snacking, taking photos and posting to social media. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but be aware that the Hello wall has been painted over. Overall a great place to get some light food and a coffee!

Absolutely beautiful place, you can also download the ripples app and have any photo of yours printed on your latte! We chose to try it out on an iced chai latte and we were not disappointed both on the quality of the drink and how pretty the photo came out! There is also a wall outside and other painted walls to take photos with friends. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

This place is next level Los Angeles. An amazing coffee and tea selection including matcha....the fun printed photos on the lattes are worth the price. The service is great and it’s a great place to sit and enjoy a coffee and pastry (the almond chocolate croissants are worth every calorie). Only downside is you can’t get a printed logo with an almond milk drink.

Cafe staff were not very friendly when we went, did not have a child seat, and so we had to use a regular chair for my daughter, and she ended up falling from the regular adult chair. So that was a very stressful experience. The lavender latte was good, we got the foam art thing, u have to download the ripple app to get it. Pretty cool.

I thought for sure that the photo printing on top of my latte was going to be the highlight of this coffee shop. I was wrong. Their chai lattes and regular lattes are perfectly balanced and were way better than I imagined. Even if you're not interested in the photo printing thing, this place is worth a stop for their excellent coffee.

This is my second trip and my first one before lunch time where I could justify getting the waffles. Such a fun little place to relax, listen to a nice oldie’s play list, and enjoy a great americano. The waffles are delicious and the coffee is great. It’s not the cheapest, but we’re in Los Angeles so it’s the norm.

The location is nice and filled with natural light. I had the lavender flavored coffee and it was good. The waffle however was given to me in a plastic cup and I found that cheap. I got the berries and walnuts waffle which ended up being too sweet because of the syrup, iced sugar and whipped cream they add.

The lavender latte was very good, but the coffee art was the reason I went. If you want a picture printed on your latte get the ripple app, trust me it very worth it for the gram. They also had a good menu and some vegan donut that I did not try out, but it was good to know it was available. …

We love Carrera. Parking can be difficult sometimes, but I honestly don’t mind the walk. They constantly change the art outside on there wall and add new foam coffee art designs. Their chai tea is amazing. This place is a definite must visit!

This charming cafe is one of a kind and a real gem in LA. They have great coffee and a nice selection of fresh pastries, salads and sandwiches. The pastrami sand which and baked goat cheese salad are my favorite!
