Was very frustrated with the service I received when getting a Guiness pint glass engraving done. I paid for the service on my lunch break from work, they said it would take 15 minutes. I told them I wouldn’t be back until after work and gave them my name and number just in case. The girls said that was fine. When I arrived after half 5 to pick up the glass a few girls went searching for it for about 20 mins and then told me it wasn’t ready. I was confused by this because I paid for it four hours ago at this point and the girl told me somebody broke it. I asked if they could engrave another one and I would come back in 20 minutes but no one was available to do it! So one of two things occurred: my glass was never engraved in the first place, or, someone engraved it, broke it, and then clocked out and went home! I had to come back into the city centre on my day off work to pick it up the next day as I had bought it as a gift for a friend. One of the girls (I won’t say her name) told me she would be in the next day and to ask for her so she could give me the new glass. When I came in and asked for her the next day, I was laughed at and told that she’s not in! The person I asked didn’t even ask if she could help me instead. I was worried at this point that i wouldn’t get the pint glass at all! I eventually got the glass after explaining everything that happened and I was very happy with it. However, the experience was very frustrating and stressful throughout as I had to change my plans for the day just to come in again as instructed only for them to act like they knew nothing about it the next day.
I ordered on their online shop on the 18th of December gifts for my family whom lives in Dublin. With express delivery. Email received that the items will be delivered on the 19th. It was delivered in the 23rd despite 3 follow up email that never got replied to from their so called "zen desk" - I paid in full for express delivery (next day) When my family opened their gifts on the night of the 24th only half of my order was delivered. My family went to the dublin shop to query the order and they informed her that the other items was "out of stock" which was not indicated on the website, nor did they bother to let me know some of my items were out of stock nor did they offer my family to rectify the mistake. No one has gotten in touch with me for a refund either. Worst experience in my life. Will NEVER shop there ever again. Shame on you Carrolls!!!!!
We received a gift of a hamper loaded with Biscuits, candy, and fudge. It took almost two months to get here to the states. I contacted Customer service who requested proof. OK? I took pictures of the smashed biscuits and dented can. The torn plastic container for the mini pints was already recycled. Not good enough. Evidence of a/c # was required. It's a gift! I scanned the three pieces of paperwork which came with the hamper and sent them. So after several emails over and back, I received a code to purchase mort goods from Carrolls. No Thank you! Take this code of unknown value and invest in training your shipping Dept. how to pack goods. Carrols have great products, but who wants to receive them smashed to pieces and the dog and pony show that followed was just too much. Carrolls, never again.
A very bad experience with Carollsas a brand and while shopping at this location. Very rude staff. As a brand policies made are to rob customers most of who are travellers. An example of today's shop where I had bought a pack of chocolates 5 minutes ago and then decided to buy a different version. But I was denied saying hygiene issues. It was seal pack and not even opened. Today's experience has just created a negative impact about the brand for me. For fellow traveler's please make sure you know what you are buying as this brand(or specific shop staff) will not be friendly and accommodating.
Ordered a gift hamper in plenty of time for Christmas. Got shipping notification but it didn't move for 4 days. I contacted delivery company who said item was never handed over for delivery. Eventually was able to contact company through twitter who told me it got lost in transit. Couldn't provide a replacement and other than having me call into town to make up a new hamper there was nothing they could do. Ended up taking a refund and a totally inadequate offer of 20% off a future purchase. Will never use this service again
If your visiting Ireland and looking for a one stop shop for all your Irish gifts, Carrolls is the place. Large store, carries clothing for all ages, jewelry, caps, charms, cups, chocolates, and the usual knickknacks you're sure to find something for everyone on your list. Hoodies and sweatshirts don't feel cheap, I have some from 4 or 5 years ago that are still going strong. I visit every year before heading back to the States.
The bigger of the two shops in the centre, ideal for souvenirs and postcards/ gifts for others. While most of it is cheap and cheerful or a bit cliché, there are some lovely woollen accessories that would make a lovely gift. There is a huge selection, you can get a gift from £2.50-£20 easily. Staff were friendly and polite. Definitely part of the Belfast experience!
Excellent shop and customer service! Since I leave in Greece I used the eshop to order a few Guiness coasters that I totally love. The quality is great! I had some issues with the Greek local post office (big delay) however the Carrolls customers service was very helpful. They were so kind to even sent me a second package for free! Thank you for all your help!!
Bad customer service in store yesterday. Even though I’m heavily pregnant, I was asked by a shop assistant at the till to travel back down the shop to fetch another product with a barcode, as mine was missing one, despite 3 male shop assistants at the till just idle talking and laughing in a quiet shop. No assistance offered. Was not impressed.
There is a great selection of gifts and more to buy here and especially on your holidays to Dublin you can get a postcard or recommended souvenir. One security man here seemed very well and does a good job at the doorway, I’m impressed with the selective amounts of clothes, gifts, treats and more like that here in colours and sizes.
Huge selection of Irish themed or made products. Ideal place for a present, or to spoil yourself or buy a reminder of your visit to Dublin. Quite a few Guinness related products as you’d suspect. Nice range of fridge magnets, bottle openers, over gloves, clothing, etc. Prices are what you’d expect for a middle to top range shop.
Nice Irish Gift Shop, with all you need of Souvenirs Magnets, Shirts, Sweater, Jackets, Woolstuff, Jewelry, some Sweets, for Ireland, Dublin and many Stuff from Guinness for the price same at the Guinness Storehouse. 5 Stars, there you can find all you need. Biggest shops are on the O'Connell Street and Ashton Quay I think.
Nice place to shop for Irish souvenirs ranging from Iris famous chocolate, Stone, fridge magnum, biscuit, essential oil, decorative items, Clothing, snack, guinness beer, wine and many other things. It has many branches in Dunblin city, u may find this shop nearby the key attractions or in the major street of dublin city.
Warm reception, lots and lots of gifts to purchase. 1st time I went here, I had lost directions and spoke to an employee here who was so nice and helpful to me. He went further to give me a map for Dublin which helped me a lot. If you want any Irish gift, I recommend you pass by and thank me later
Carrolls Irish Gifts is a tremendous gift shop in central Dublin, opposite Spire. The stores offer a wide range of Irish-themed souvenirs, gifts, and merchandise, such as traditional Aran sweaters, Celtic jewellery, Claddagh rings, Guinness merchandise, Irish music CDs, and many, many more.
Popped in to get some garth brooks t-shirts prior to the concert and was met with some amazing members of staff who made my visit to Dublin so much better just by being themselves. I wish I'd got names so I could thank them personally on here, you made my break away better. Thank you.
Security literally Squared up to my 12 year old brother and tried to intimidate him, then asked the other security guard to follow us through the store after I made it known I wasn't impressed by it. Horrific experience that made me not want to visit again. I'd recommend FIRING them!
I have orded though Carolls Irish Gifts website and the order was delivery on time. I had to contact the customer service department because I was afraid of the size of the item and they answered within 2min to all my questions ! Really appreciate all the experience! Well done !
There is so much kitsch that it is overwhelming on entry, but if it is cheap souvenirs you want, you're in the right place. Some decent clothing on sale, but the city is being subjected to a Starbucks-like plague of Carroll's. We don't need one on every city centre street.
Cute souvenirs. However, the staff isn’t well trained. I purchased a crystal snow ball and the cashier wrap it up inside a pair of socks, that I also bought so it came out flying and it broke. Had to purchase another crystal snow ball at the airport. Very dissatisfied.
Carroll's have a wide range of good quality affordable gifts representing Ireland, the Irish people and the Irish culture. From jewellery, clothing, mugs, ornaments, decorations, fridge magnets, candles and items spun from local yarn you'll be spoilt for choice.
Not to flatter such a large chain too much, but seriously, this is probably the best souvenir store in Europe. Every item is heart-melting and of quality. Be prepared for so many sheeps. Don't get in if you love them, or your credit card will vapour ;)
Great place to buy souvenirs. This store has pretty much everything you could want from socks, t shirts, jewellery, magnets and keyrings. There’s lots of stores as well but this one is huge. Typical souvenir prices but good quality and great choice.
I live in New York. So buying online that’s the only option for me. I bought their product couple of times. Always on time i got my items . And customer service is great . They always response my emails. Definitely i will visit in person someday!
Bought some gifts using their online service. Great prices and quality items. Gifts for friends overseas so they'll be delighted. Had an issue with one item and their customer service dealing with this was exceptional. Highly recommended.
Always love here , so many ideas for gifts ..especially when i travel to see my friends in different countrys , they love them .. all from my favourite sweets to funny condoms , or beautiful cups , snowballs etc loads loads ..love it
My mom went in and loves this place. She even picked up a cool gift to bring back to the states. The security guard was very informative on Dublin, the store & overall a good person... give him a raise. :) We will be back, THANK YOU!
I went into four of these....overwhelming amount of green and I couldn't tell you the difference between them. I didn't need any leprachaun or shamrock tourist tat so I got nothing - but PLEASE>...whatever you need green is in here!!
Loooove this store! Everything is so organised, clean, a huge variety of products and gifts from Ireland! And when you enter the store and there's a staff singing U2? ♥️ You sing together! The best experience! Thanks, Carrolls!
So my Brother bought a top from this shop and the person behind the till had two jobs scan the item and remove the security tag but looks like she couldn't do that.We are now left with the tag on the top. Good job …
One the biggest tourist shops in Dublin along with many stores. Has everything you need to take back an Irish gift to your friends and family. Some items are cheap and tacky and others are of nice design and quality.
If you want Irish trappings at a fair price, this place is a must. There are many of them all over the country, and the prices did not seem to vary from location to location. A good place to get Guinness gear.
A well presented gift shop, well lit with lively music and of course plenty of gifts. There place really makes you feel you are in the heart of Ireland and well worth a visit even if you don't but anything.
Great shop. I purchased a mug and unfortunately dropped it before leaving the shop. I went back to purchase another and the shop assistant said it was fine and swooped the broken mug. Awesome service
Two days before I wrote my negative experience about this shop.(They gave me torn and innacurate 5 euro note as a change rolled on purpose in the receipt)and they erased my critic.Shame on you!
Very beautiful souvenir shops, very big environment, good staff and very big choice. Only exaggerate thing is the price and they should also produce better magnets. Other things where amazing.
Beautiful selection of gifts. Shame most of the staff were blethering to themselves instead of attending to customers. Better banter and prices from a gift peddler lower down in the street.
I am Irish born and bred and have always been proud of Our tradidional Aran sweaters so I brought My Husband to Carrolls to buy Him a beautiful Aran zip up sweater very pleasant experience.
A very convenient place if you have to purchase some souvenirs from Ireland. It's quite big and has a huge repertoire of gifts. I usually pay a visit there every time I fly to Dublin.
Lovely shop great variety and value lovely sweatshirt s,hats, bags, sweets chocolate s,t-shirt s,lovely if you where here on holidays you could bring something back home from Ireland
A great place for tourists to take away home nice Irish souvenirs.lots of offers like 3 for 2 etc.n don't forget to buy the tasty buttery shortbread by kerrygold.its so tasty …
I've got to say that I love Carroll's, as a tourist. Many things to buy for reasonable prices. Depending on the branches, you might be able to find beautiful jewelry as well.
The best souvenir shop I've ever seen! It has a wide variety of products from very cheap stuff to very expensive to match everyone's budget! But all good quality stuff!!
this place has a nice selection of Irish gifts for Taurus. There is a huge one that is two or three times larger about a five-minute walk across the river
Mugs, socks, pencil cases, stickers, magnets and funny tee-shirts to purchase here with nice patterns and not especially the most touristic ones …
It is my all time fav gift shop is Dublin. I love them good music and just looking around and u end up buying something nice for sure! Recommend …
All stuff is nice, no usual tourist crap. They have souvenirs of all kinds, from toys to silver jewellery. And various Guinness items, of course :)
Glass snow globe broke the day after we bought it, revealing extremely thin, unsafe glass. That said lots to choose from, just don't show globe...
Really nice souvenir shop with tematical irish things. It's really pity that souvenir shops like this are not in more touristic places in world.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, spacious and the prices are compared to what you get. Love buying souvenirs here. Def worth a visit.
If you're buying gifts for family and loved ones this is the best place to go the staff really helpful and it's not too far overpriced
Entire staff smelled of old sweat. The whole store reaked. Should really get extra uniform t-shirts …
Carroll's of O'Connell St, met some very nice staff nothing was to much for them. So helpful. Well done to all. …
Have just about any kind of gift you might want and prices are very good even the Guinness gifts are cheaper than at the storehouse
The best place to buy Irish souvenirs. Visited there last year with my brother and bought some beautiful souvenirs. A must visit.

Great place to buy your souvenirs and gifts. Value for money. No trip to Ireland is complete until you've shopped at Carrolls.

I spent almost the whole afternoon trying to decide which gifts to get my relatives, so much to see and buy, wonderful place
I know this is a bit of a tourist trap but they also have great products. I ended up buying quite a few things at Carrolls.
Excellent gift shop. Huge assortment, all very beautiful and cute. It is impossible to choose because you want to buy All
My favourite Irish gift store on the planet love this shop. I'm not a tourist I live here but absolutely love Carroll's.
So many options for souvenirs and they do clearance which is awesome. I only spent $53 for a dozen people's souvenirs.
Superb Irish gifts with reasonable price tag. Must visit and shop all you can. Don't need to go anywhere for shopping.
Irish owned gift store. Souvenirs, gifts, some Irish clothes such as shirts and hats. Good selection, moderate prices
Expensive themed Irish goods most made in China. Avoid to my cost I found the 3 for €10 were not taken off at tills.
Amazing gift shop! Definitely I would recommend if you are coming to Dublin and want to bring a memory with you. :)
When I went into the store it was full of wonderful gift items and very difficult to choose from. Love it, love it.
Huge assortment of gifts related to Ireland. From food to clothing and a lot in between. Prices felt reasonable
Everything covered for souvenirs and pretty reasonable prices. A bit more upmarket than other souvenirs shops.
Lots of ideas for gifts and souvenirs , reasonable prices, great quality products, friendly and helpful staff
Awesome selection and great prices. They also took all three of my currencies: Pounds, Euros and US Dollars.
Great location if you want to buy souvenirs for your friends. Lots of choices and very nice fridge magnets.
The shop was cheaper than other souvenir shops and employees were friendly and helpful with gift choosing
Amazing place to get some gifts for yourself, friends and family. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
Any type of Irish gifts. A little bit expensive but very big variety. And everything about guinness!
Nice but a bit too expensive, especially the mugs, 10 euro.!?! And not much choice of them anyway...
Here you can find souvenirs all year round, not only for tourists. It's amazing what you can find.
Fantastic for gifts, all year round. You don't have to be a tourist to wear a Dublin jumper …
Perfect place for getting gifts for the family back home... very affordable and amazing variety
