My 1st and second visits were OK, because on the 2nd I had to leave because the electricity went out. On my 3rd visit, which was yesterday, I tried to call to confirm my insurance before my visit. I had to leave a message with someone named Jan. I called around 9 am in the morning, and I had to call again around 2 pm. I could tell they were screening my call and ignoring pick up my call by the way the phone rang. When some call me back finally, she confirmed I would pay approximently $23.00 out of pocket with my insurance covering the rest. I signed a paper before the denial assistance, starting cleaning my teeth for $23.00. Once my cleaning was complete, and I went to check out, the lady said I owed $27.00 from last time because insurance didn't cover it. No one from this office contacted me about a remaining balance from my previous visits. The dental office should have confirmed what was covered before I started any of my procedures. I feel as though this office scammed me for additional money's, and the knew this before I got to the office yesterday, that why they didn't want to call me back, or answer the phone. They waited to I got done with my 3rd cleaning, to get me in thier office to give them more money. The lady who cleaned my teeth was very nice, but whoever lied and avoided my calls, then scammed me for $27.00 need to lose their job. My rating again is 2 star's, because the denial hygienist that cleaned my teeth was pleasant.

Dr Whitehead was my dentist there. She is super nice and very friendly. However, I had a crown put on there and hand numerous issues with it and it had to be redone twice. Keep in mind I was told by Dr. Whitehead at my intitial visit that all their work is guaranteed, if I had any further issues to call they would fix. Unfortunately I did have other issues with the crown. It hurts to eat on it, In addition to that I can't tolerate hot or cold foods on that side of my mouth. When I called to inform them of this, they gave me a bunch of rigamorol trying to get out of checking the crown. I even asked if they could do xrays just to see if it was cracked or something, the receptionist told me no becuase the crown was seated properly at the time it was put on. Suffice it to say I made an appointment with another dental office to fix what they stated was guaranteed work. Don't think I would recommend them to anyone.

An office staff can truly make or break a business. Silvena the office manager very difficult to deal with. I had a filling in two teeth, it failed within a few days and I was in horrible pain for over a week. They said they couldn't work me in for a week, even after I told them it fell out. I needed an appointment after work they told me it was a 3+ week wait to come in after 5 even though their filling failed within 2 days, so I had to take a half day vacation to go get it fixed. Then when I tried to call them about billing and gave them permission to speak with a parent 3 times since I can't deal with this at work and they are impossible to deal with and filled out paperwork allowing this, Silvena said she hadn't spoken to me, even though I have the call on my call log on my phone. I've called back and it goes to voicemail and they won't answer at all or return the calls. You need new office Staff!

Went in for deep scaling. Work performed efficiently. Hygienist was professional. I was not impressed with the front office staff. I returned from vacation still having issues. The office was closing for the 4th of July holiday and wouldn't be open until Monday. I told them it might be an infection from the procedure. They told me to go to urgent care for the problem I was having...numbness in my jaw from the chin up to and including my inner ear. Urgent care refused service because of it being a dental issue. I ended up on an emergency call on Friday with the Atascocita office. They were professional and squeezed me in within an hour. I realize the holiday created the scheduling problem but no effort was made by the Kingwood office to even contact the dentist.

Was kind of nervous to go to a dentist in kingwood as alot of places think just bcuz of the area they can get more money out of u. My gf had a really bad experience from the dentist by heb in the back of kingwood. Took a chance on this place though and I was pleasantly surprised. The tech that helped me was Christina. She was very nice and explained everything thoroughly and any charges I would have upfront. I never once felt pressured or like they were just trying to get more money out of me. I could even hear other techs talking to the other customers during their visits and they were very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place. You may have to wait 2 months for an appointment like I did but it was worth it in the end.

I came here for a deep cleaning, a root canal, and a crown. The folks here were friendly, considerate and accommodating. The front desk ensured that all of my appointments worked for me and my schedule.Traci, my hygienist (she did my deep clean) was very friendly, you could tell she really enjoyed making sure that everything was done with precision.She also kept me informed letting me know what she was going to do and why so that I was not left in the dark. Dr. Pomar was also incredibly accommodating, ensuring that I was not in pain through out the procedure also keeping me informed of everything he was going to do and why. Though it was a long process, I never minded coming back knowing that sometimes great work comes with patience. :)

I have been using Carus for six years and the Kingwood location for the last five. Dr. Witkowski was the reason I started with Carus at the Atascocita location originally. I have seen Dr. Bates and Whitehead is now my primary dentist at the Kingwood location. Traci, has been my hygienist cleaning my teeth at the Kingwood location all this time, she is a valuable asset to their practice. She as taught me so much about my tooth care; flossing, proper brushing techniques for my sonicare and with the dentist returned my gums to a healthy non-bleeding cleaning today. What a good feeling to have such a healthy mouth and thank you Carus Dental.

They will rob you blind! Make sure to get receipts for all payments. I paid a substantial amount for service that is not documented on their itemized billing statement that I requested and now trying to send me to collections for a balance that I DO NOT OWE. The dental assistant is great but everyone else leaves something to be desired, particularly the billing specialist. Expect a massive bill for services because they can't figure out how to bill your insurance properly. Standard dental care is optimal but if you are having fillings, expect to be there a long time, with MANY interruptions.

This place says you have tons of things wrong with your teeth so that they get more money for all the work they do on your teeth. The first time I went they said I had 5 cavities, so I got them filled. Six months later they told me I had 5 more cavities and needed 6 sealants. I was very suspicious about this so I went to a private practice dentist to get a second opinion and he said that I only had 1 filling needed that that was because it was leaking. It was probably the filling Carus Dental did 6 months earlier so they could charge me to redue it! Do not go to this dentist!

The entire staff at CARUS Kingwood and Atascocita are the very best! My dentist: DDS Kacey Whitehead and her dental assistant: Natalie are outstanding. My dental hygienist: Kristina Erickson is also outstanding. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Lisa at the Atascocita branch and her co-worker provide the same great service. I have used 3 dentists there any they were all great. I am very impressed with everyone at CARUS. I also want to commend Natalie and Michelle, dental assistants. They are first-class. Everyone at CARUS is first-class.

This clinic is super clean. Staff and doctors are amazing, they make you feel at home and explain to you every step of the way before they start also answered all my questions and worries. This clinic counts with very experienced and knowledgeable people specially Mrs Whitehead she is awesome I recommend y’all to go see her and also Miss Christina she is very sweet and good at what she does. They are new patients friendly . Overall I highly recommend this place.Thank you Carus Dental Kingwood!

I love Ms. Burke and Dr. Whitehead! Friendly with a gentle touch, they’re also extremely thorough and efficient. My permanent retainer popped off today but these ladies finished the cleaning, cemented it back in, and I was still out of there in under an hour. Sylvina and the office staff are super nice too. If you want healthy teeth AND want to actually enjoy going to the dentist, give Carus a try!

Just had my bi-annual teeth cleaning. The hygenist, Traci Aldridge is, without doubt, the very best hygenist I've ever been to. She is gentle, while being very thorough and efficient. The dentist, Dr. Whitehead, is also very efficient and professional while remaining warm & friendly. I've been visiting this location for several years now and have every intention of visiting for years to come.

Carus in Kingwood is always courteous and professional. I am confident and comforted in the dental care I receive. I have seen the same hygienist for years and am extremely pleased with the friendliness, care, professionalism, and manner. Dr Whitehead is incredibly caring and personable in advising and delivering the best care and treatment specific to my conditions and needs.

I am very pleased with the team at this office! I’ve always been very anxious about dental visits. Everyone is always kind, caring and gentle. They take the time to ask questions and answer them. The staff are patient, gentle and take time with you. They are the most caring and patient dentist and staff. You can tell they are caring and patient professionals!

Very unfriendly Staff . The manager as she calls herself was extremely unprofessional. It’s a miracle if you get past her to ever get an appointment . She grabbed the clipboard from my hand and jerked it away as if I was going to steal it . She has a mental issue and definitely should not work with public . Especially public needing dental work done .

I am always treated with courtesy and professionalism by the entire staff at Carus. The wait time is almost nonexistent, but I never feel rushed. The hygienist even brought a condition to the attention of the dentist resulting in a diagnosis by a periodontal specialist. The Carus staff have restored my ability to look forward to dental visits.

I walked in the office and felt at ease. Met the hygienist, Katie, and knew I was in the right place. She took detailed information, X-rays, and talked with me. The dentist, Dr Whitehead, came in and sealed the deal. I had met the dynamic duo now in charge of my teeth for the next 10 years. Fantastic doctor, hygienist and staff.

I recently had a filling done a couple months ago and the Dentist did a great job, she got it right the first time! Last week I went for my quarterly cleaning with Kristine and she did a great job, as always. I also had sealants put on two molars for extra protection. I would highly recommended Carus Dental in Kingwood!

I’ve been going here for a few years and I just went in today for a filling. They are very quick and the process was painless. My mouth was numb for the procedure but I was able to eat and talk afterwards. My doctor was Dr. Whitehead and Michele Sylina and they were both very good and professional.

They’re nice people however , the front desk needs some training . They don’t follow up and they don’t answer their requests for call backs. Either the administration doesn’t follow up or Dr. whitehead doesn’t care to call back . They need to improve , I think I’ll go somewhere else .

Very friendly and helpful office staff. Wait times have been minimal. From the hygienist to the dentist they take time to explain what they see and what needs to be done and clearly explain the cost of the procedures as well. I would recommend to anyone to give them a try.

They are unprofessional, they cannot give you a date for your appointments. for a crown that I had to wear they didn't take care to take the measurements! to this day I still have no answer!

Although I did not have work done on the day that I went in I did notice workers sanitizing areas each time someone left. From the reception area through out everyone was nice and helpful.

They were able to accommodate me on very short notice. I was in terrible pain. The wait was not long. The dentist listen to how I was feeling and treated me with nothing but compassion.

Everyone was very polite and informative. I will be getting my dental work done here. Clean atmosphere. The dentist was great at explaining the situation and best treatment plan to me.
