Suzanne did a wonderful job during my 3 day stay in Topanga. Being a single woman with a small pet, late at night, I didn't know where to stay since the trip was last minute. I checked out other sites on Expedia but it didn't look safe, then all of a sudden, my intuition said Google it - and that's what I did and voila! Found Casa De Soul! It's a beautiful 2 detached homes, but as you walk inside, you have your own privacy. Kitchen was clean, served all kinds of coffee with different types of creamers. Bedroom was warm and clean, had TV with netflix, bed was extremely comfortable - I overslept lol , after driving 8 hours , I needed it. Best of all, Suzanne was an awesome host who picked up her phone and made sure we were OK. I am extremely pleased, and again, being a single woman- Casa De Soul was a message from God to go. Thank you Suzanne! I'll for sure send referrals your way! Including my son!

This place feels likes your at home its clean and relaxing and the host is welcoming and accomidating. Its one of the best places ive stayed at. Its even better then some hotels. She even had a cool booklet on good places in the area. Also the bus stop to go places is a short walk. The parking was convenient as well. Id definitely would stay here again.

Beautiful rooms in a homey house, in a quiet place - just what I needed. And all this for less than half the price of hotels. Suzanne was very willing to help and accommodate my needs prior to booking, and that gives a good feeling. The rooms are nicely designed, very clean, plenty of daylight during the day. An unexpected and pleasant surprise was there are so many small complimentary things in the bathroom - in case if you forget something. Starting from q-tips and shaving gel, to sleep masks and some moisturizers infused with vitamins. All these things were clearly selected with lots of care. Thank you so much for the hospitality!

Had a great two night stay here in the California room with my dog Rocky recently. Easy check in and parking, the house is very clean and the bed was super comfortable, I slept like a baby! Suzanne is very helpful and responsive. There’s laundry on site for a small fee which was great after a week of traveling. Nice outdoor area for relaxing. Quiet neighborhood for taking the dog for a walk and plenty of food options in the area. Highly recommend!!

I was looking for a reasonably priced room near LA, and I stumbled upon this place. It’s like an Air B&B, but better because you don’t pay the ridiculous fees. The website is user-friendly, it’s just like booking a regular hotel. Parking was easy to find. I was impressed by the room, clean and well-decorated. The restroom was stocked well (shampoos, conditioner, soap and with plenty of towels). It was cool to chat with other guests and hear about their LA experience. The owner was nice and welcoming, very cool person. House is located near LA and was a short drive to all of the places I wanted to visit.

Just found the Valley's best kept secret. I've always thought booking a room at a hotel for $150 - $200 a night just to relax and go to sleep was ridiculous. But I found this gem/diamond in the ruff in the valley that was more than reasonable and very comfortable. I would highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for somewhere to stay. Conveniently located around plenty of stores and restaurants. I will definitely be booking a stay there again and suggest you do as well. You won't be disappointed.

Comparing to other options with a similar price tag in LA, this place is just another league - very clean and comfy rooms, great facilities (fully equipped common kitchen, common space inside and a garden) and location close to the highway as well as any shop or restaurant you'd ever need. Also, located in a very calm neighborhood which is about ~20-30 minutes away from all major tourist attractions in LA. 100% recommend!

Casa de Soul is probably the best hotel alternative in L.A. It's a B&B style setup in a roomy, well-furnished, conveniently located, West San Fernando Valley house with a pool. The Paris Room is especially nice, with en suite bath and great bed with a memory-foam mattress. Suzanne does a great job of making one feel welcome, regardless of the length of your stay. At prices far lower than any hotel or Airbnb, this is a must-consider for anyone looking for a great value in LA lodging.
