Most beautiful place I have ever stayed, hands down. We stayed four nights here. One of the most gracious, helpful and inspirational hosts I've encountered. Casa Mezcla was literally the highlight of my stay in Merida. I asked a couple other guests what the highlight of their stay was, and they too said it was this place! The redesign of this beautifully restored Spanish colonial house is thoughtful and eclectic, incorporating Mayan culture and design. You can tell that this home is not primarily a profit-making venture; it is a passion project come to life, by the aesthetically attuned eye of Camille, the owner/designer/host. Whether lounging in the rooftop hammocks, appreciating the cactus garden, reading by the poolside, enjoying a sumptuous healthy rotating breakfast in the courtyard, playing with the cats, or watching as the gusts of wind tousle the palm fronds, or watching as the sun casts changing shadows through or across whimsical landscape features, this place is a rejuvenating relaxing sanctuary and feast for the senses. We truly felt relaxed here. We also very much appreciated Camille's restaurant recommendations, and I'm very thankful she even provided me an excellent doctor recommendation when I needed to see one. The ladies who housekeep and prep breakfast are sweet and wonderful, and Camille's brother, who was staying at the property, was lovely to chat with. Before staying here I checked with the host regarding the previous review about the construction next door. Apparently that was for a brief time, is now complete, and no water was being dumped into Casa Mezcla's pool; it was all contained next door. You can expect nothing but a peaceful sanctuary here. If I ever return to Merida, I will definitely make a point of staying here. <3

Grandios. Tolle Unterkunft. Eines der Highlights in unserem Urlaub! Die Empfehlung (vorab per E-Mail erhalten) für die Cenote "Noh-Mozon" bitte nicht folgen. Wir haben uns leider verfahren, da die Google-Navigation hier nicht korrekt ist! Daher bitte entweder eine passende Wegbeschreibung beilegen oder nicht erwähnen. Nachdem wir per E-Mail nachgefragt haben, um diese Cenote am nächsten Tag zu besuchen, erhielten wir überhaupt keine Rückmeldung. Leider war diese Kommunikation etwas anonym. Ansonsten war der Kontakt zu der Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort super und sie war sehr hilfsbereit. Dieses Hotel können wir nur weiterempfehlen. Wir empfehlen zudem mit dem eigenen Auto anzureisen oder aber ein Taxi für die Wege in die Stadt zu wählen, da der Weg doch etwas weit zu Fuß ist (ca 20 - 30 Min jedes Mal).

Casa Mezcla has an amazing atmosphere and Gregorie has been a great host, introducing us to the city of Merida and its lifestile and suggesting wonderful places to visit. The breakfast was delicious.

Worse experience ever. It takes greed to accept a 4 night reservation knowing house construction next door. The workers were also dumping their construction water in the pool making it unusable. For breakfast you had to listen to banging, guys smoking, spitting. Power went out making it all even worse.

Very good stay at Casa Mezcla. Intimate and friendly atmosphere, really good breakfast and the pool is bliss. We will be back!
