People who say that money can't buy you love haven't tried a cake from Casey's. I'm picky about practically everything in my life. I like to think this makes me idiosyncratic rather than annoying but the jury's out. Casey's makes the best espresso in Hackney and yes, I know that's a bold claim, but I've drunk a lot of coffee & caffeine & me are old friends. If you're so bold as to combine the coffee with a cake or cookie then you're on your way to making one of the best decisions of your life. I've eaten my way through most of the menu & there's nothing there I wouldn't sell my dog for (joke: I'd never ever sell my dog but you get the gist.) Shout out to the chocolate brownies who got me over my last heartbreak, & the granola bars, which I kid myself are somewhat healthy (they can't be, far too delicious). Caitlin, as well as being one of the nicest people in the world, runs the joint & does most of the baking. She has the kind of chef skills that would make Gordon Ramsay promise never to swear again, but you don't have to believe my superlatives - get down there & try the goodies yourself. They also do toasted sandwiches (amazing) and occasion cakes for that special someone in your life (still waiting for Bumble to come through for me). Do yourself a favour and pay Casey's a visit. You won't regret it.

Amazing cakes and lovely coffee for very reasonable prices. There are also a really good selection of vegan stuff too- from focaccia sandwich to brownie. My partner was so impressed we brought all five varieties of vegan cakes. (We are going through them) On the other hand, I brought the Basque cheesecake and finished it as soon as I left the bakery. It was Devine. I would have liked for the bakery to have a sit in service, but happy to do takeaway for now.

Truly the apple of Clapton’s eye. Caitlin has worked tirelessly to create a sanctuary at the end of the oft tumultuous and risky streets of Clarence Road. It may only be a micro-café, but the quality, service and charm are plentiful. Energy balls like plump and supple talisman, cakes standing proud like the pillars of Solomon’s Temple and the coffee, a delicately extracted elixir. As the world crumbles around us and roads of spiritual resolution remain forever arduous and unrelenting, let Casey’s into your life, a true bastion for hope and sanctity.

Casey's bake all the bread in store from just behind the counter where they serve. I feel really lucky to have such a good local, independent bakery close by. It's nice to see them doing so well, they moved from a smaller shop very close by, and with more space in this location they have been able to stretch their wings and seem to be going from strength to strength. There's a counter with cakes and great looking sandwiches (haven't tried those though) and they serve good coffee, too.

Dear Casey’s I just want to say, you have amazing pastries, your croissants are so crispy and taste delicious, but I especially enjoyed your cinnamon twist, it had a slight cardamom taste, which I'm normally not a fan of, but in this instance it tasted fantastic. Thank you so much for joining our community, wish you success! Thank youuuuu!

During the pandemic Casey's kept us well fed since they produce day in, day out the most delicious bread and pastries. The shop is well stocked with gourmet staple deli produce ethically sourced and also reasonably priced for your kitchen's pantry. God bless the hard working team behind this bakery! I'm grateful and lucky to live next door, it is my neighbourhood's precious gem.

Casey’s could not be more perfect - it is the ideal neighbourhood cafe/deli/bakery and Is a genuine delight to visit every weekend for my weekend morning coffee en route to dog walk. Dogs are welcome, the bread and baked goods are fresh and delicious, coffee is top notch, and service is exceptional. Plus they sell essentials too. A must visit in Clapton/Hackney

Delicious sour dough. Friendly staff. But I do wish the Girl Who serves customers wouldn't pick up the bread with her bare hands - cutting it with no gloves, and then handling the iPad to take payment. It's not Covid safe. Also sometimes the guy on the till doesn't wear his mask., in a shop with unwrapped food that cannot be washed this is pretty bad.

  • Charlie Beharrell

Casey’s only puts out quality. Everything they do here is delicious - sandwiches, pastries, breads, coffees are always next level. With so many bakeries in East London it would be easy for this to get lost in the mix, but Casey’s stands out from the bunch because it really is that good. Very happy to have this as my local :)

  • Sam Naylor

Hands down the best bread and pastries I've had in London (or anywhere else, for that matter). They also have a great selection of vegan and GF treats, which taste equally as great. All the team are so warm and friendly, and it's amazing seeing them making everything freshly behind the tills. A gem of Clapton.

  • Benedict Richards

I just had a toasted brioche with spinach and hollandaise sauce which was lovely. The coffee was excellent too - nice and strong. The savouries and cakes are all home-made and they have some interesting supplies too. It is well-positioned to get a take-away and wander to the Downs. Long live Casey's!

  • Nancy Saqr

Amazing amazing pastries!! I was so sick of supermarket corrisants and when I walked by I had to try it! The lamination is superb and everything is high high quality You can see everyone baking and it's a very warm place Would be nice if there was a couple of chairs inside! Loved it !

  • Alex Watson

The team are super warm and friendly. Excellent coffee, made with care and close attention to your particular needs. Bakery items and Yummy treats to die for, as well as a curated selection of quality cupboard staples and speciality goods to inspire your cooking. Love this place.

  • Sarah D

The quality of baked goods, toasties, and that darn egg brioche, make this such a special place. The employees are so friendly and make the perfectly petite space somewhere you wanna spend your time. I recommend it always to all my friends, and now to all of Google. Go here!

  • Tara DripApp

Love this little neighbourhood gem! Fresh bread, cakes and bakes; eggs, dairy and produce from local farms & suppliers; and a lovely small selection of pantry & household goods. The coffee is excellent (Margate toaster Curve beans) as both filter and espresso options.

  • Alex Os

One of the best sourdoughs in Hackney and pretty solid croissants all made in house. A small selection of deli foods is a little mix between Brindisa, Japanese and other Asian bits a bobs. I hope they improve their deli offering with some more cheese sometime soon.

  • RLJ

Must go! Love care and attention baked into everything....the breakfast slice, an unbelievable pear friand...and they are sandwich artists. The team obviously love what they do. I don't live in the area but I make an effort to come regularly because it's so good.

  • David McElroy

Everything I've had from Casey's has been great! It's all so tasty. The staff are all lovely too. I usually get coffee and a toastie, but the cakes are excellent too. Really good egg brioche thing as well. Also look out for the jalapeno jam on the shelf!

  • Armin Pourghazi

Casey's reputation can be heard from a few boroughs over. I visited for the first time and was greeted warmly and offered delicious baked goods and coffee. There is something authentic and wholesome about this place. It's the Tom Hanks of bakeries.

  • Dora Gavriil

Great vibe producing amazing quality of pure taste. Try the breads and the chocolates and don’t miss the breakfast poached egg brioche. Young people making healthy food from scratch. Enjoy and support. One of the places I would give 6 stars.

  • Sarah Carter

Fabulous cafe with lovely baking and excellent customer service - they made a personalised vegan cake to order with fewer than 24 hours’ notice, and it was delicious - I only wish we could sit down inside but the park is close by

  • Lodestar Coffee

Every time we get bread from Casey's all we say is 'Ahhh so good!' repeatedly so this will probably be enough as a review. Perfect cosy, independent and local bakery run by the sweetest people. We love you team at Casey's!

  • Robert Norton

Just the nicest little bakery and bougie goods shop. The pastries are incredible, the bread looks fantastic, and the coffee is ace. The people who run it are also lovely, you definitely should check it out.
