Please do not purchase items from CeX. My review below summarises my horrific experience with CeX. As a summary (TL;DR): - CeX missold an item to me and the original branch (Dagenham) refuses to take responsibility for this. - CeX's 24 month warranty refused to cover this fault (8gb RAM detected in laptop but 24gb shown on receipt) - No manager was available to speak to about this directly, I was just referred to the website and relied on the customer-facing team for updates - The CeX repair team were unable to fix this in my laptop and so I've overpaid for an item Note that this review summarises my experience at the Harrow store for a Dagenham store purchase, and being governed by the policy set by the CeX board of directors. Full background (summary): + all customer assistants at the shop are very friendly and very keen to help. They have been amazing in trying to resolve my issue, looking at different possible resolutions and really being an amazing friendly front. - laptop purchased developed faults before the 2 year warranty period had ended (very slow; RAM detected was only 8gb but purchased as 24gb) This means that either CeX's warranty was not honoured (as the excess 16gb RAM developed fault - so I would be due a ~£400 voucher refund) or that the item was missold to me in the first place (in which case Consumer Rights applies and I should receive £580 voucher refund) - after sales support was very poor from CeX, very little communication from management and no direct communication possible Legally, I am entitled to exercise my Consumer Rights. I could take this to a small claims court by filling out all the paperwork, arranging a time, etc. However, as someone earning in excess of £50k p.a (gross), the time, hassle and stress to do this is just simply not worth £580.00. (this is only about 30% of my disposable income per month, hence a trivial value) I was also informed that I could contact the customer support team directly on the CeX website, but this would be a refund to voucher, to purchase more potentially faulty items, so this is just not worth it. I write this review to warn customers of the following: - The CeX in Dagenham clearly did not label my laptop purchased correctly which means that, although the fault was noticed towards the end of the warranty period (which should mean I'm still eligible for support), the Operations Manager refused to help - The CeX Repair that is frequently touted by CeX as a reason to purchase from them is a bit useless. They received my laptop, and didn't even fix this RAM issue when confronted with it. They have put the burden of proof on me, the customer. They are the one providing the sale, I think the burden of proof should fall on them instead. - There is no direct contact with management. It was not possible to speak with a manager in store. Therefore, expect your customer service experience to be with looking at how employees or the operations manager interprets their policy and how the policy is written. I do not hold this as a fault with the customer-facing employees but with the CeX's operations manager's judgement and the board of directors for approving a policy which does not favour the customer. Following a lovely promotion and my old laptop going faulty, I am celebrating by purchasing a GPD Win Max from droidbox. I would have purchased the following from CeX (retail value over £3k) if my issue was resolved correctly: - Razer Core X EGPU enclosure - GTX 1080 Ti - GTX 1060 - Samsung Flip 2 As mentioned, I will no longer be purchasing from CeX. This is a loss to CeX given that I will be working from home for the foreseeable future, and given my recent promotion and stable job (finance, where 100% of work can be completed from home), was hoping to quite frankly waste my disposable income on random electronics. My money for electronics (I have budgeted between £3k to £5k p.a.) will now be going to Amazon.

I never shop at CeX due to how overpriced everything is, but the Clinic for console repairs seemed like it could be a great service, until I actually used it of course After finding them through their website, and everything looking like what I needed, I went in store where I was told they weren't actually running the Clinic service whatsoever, even after emailing them before going! I had to email them to get them to put up a banner on their website to actually tell people they aren't operating, and so I would know when they were open again When they finally opened, weeks later, I took my device in. I explained exactly what the problem was and the repair I needed doing, filled out their forms and gave them my console They started working on my device days later than claimed due to nobody at the store sending it for a while if the tracking information is to be believed. A few hours later, they messaged to say they couldn't repair it and they're sending it back to the store. Which was infuriating. I had told them exactly what the issue is and yet only later they decided to say "we don't fix that issue", something they could have even told me weeks before and not wasted my time, but, it gets even worse... It turns out they opened the device, breaking the manufacturers seal and replaced a completely irrelevant part that was working, which, due to the nature of it, now cannot be tested because my device is still broken. Them doing this needlessly has limited my warranty for a repair with other companies due to general policy, but, it gets even worse... After receiving a message that my console was in store, I went in to collect it. Not sure why I expected more from them, but their incompetence shone through and they couldn't find my console. It wasn't there. So, after contacting support again they located the console and only due to me asking, agreed to courier it back to me instead of requiring a fourth trip to their store, 25 minutes away from me. I would assume this free courier back was an attempt to take some responsibility for their incompetence I cannot recommend them for their store prices, and unfortunately can only recommend staying away from their Clinic repair service due to the risk of wasting your time and energy trying to deal with them. Just awful

The issue that I have experienced was: I found online on Cex website a nikkor lens 55-200mm advertised at £70 and they had 1 in stock in Harrow Went there ,the girl on till told me the lens is wrongly advertised because the name on the lens is "Nikon"and she is going to ask her supervisor if that's the case I asked her to look at the box to see both names are there Nikon and Nikkor ,Nikkor being the manufactrer of lenses for Nikon She still went upstairs to ask the supervisor coming back and saying the lens is wrongly advertised and is £90 instead of £70 Clearly they have no knolwdge on camera lenses I told her is ilegal and unfair to sell items at higher price than advertised and I will click on "buy online " and I will get it at £ 70 She said "No, you cant the item is not available online anymore we just removed it" Basically they removed the item and advertised it again in front of me at £95 ,not even 90 as she said few mins earlier I asked her to see the supervisor who tried to explain me that is a different lens because on the lens is written 1:4-5.6 G and the advert was 4-5.6 Clearly again no knolwdge of camera lenses 1:4 is different than f/1.4 Nikkor only makes one lens 55-200 with only difference on new ones being VR ll and is impossible to be a diferent item and wrongly advertised ,any place you search for this specific lens is advertised the same way as they did initially before they changed the price in front of my eyes The supervisor came and he tried to convince me its a f/1.4 and he wouldnt accept that is a f/4 (1:4 is not the same as 1.4 ) No photography knowledge obivously I do have screenshots of the item before being removed and pictures of the price they just printed in front of me with date and everything I'll make a complaint through "Resolver" and I'm even planning to contact trading standards ,is not about money its more about ethics and respect

Currently there is only 1 decent staff member at the Harrow (Station Road) branch, Dave; who does his job well. However, the same cannot be said for the rest of the incompetent staff and the way it’s managed. So many reasons and explanations can be given, but my most recent experience (which has happened before) explains who you’re dealing with! I dropped off a Canon camera for testing, had to wait an hour for this to be done. On returning to the store I was told it had failed the test as the camera lens turned off automatically, the battery and lens were also apparently loose! I asked to speak to the tester as there was nothing wrong with the Camera… no loose battery or lens and the auto off feature is on most cameras when you don’t have an SD card in them! I showed them all this, but they weren’t interested! I was told by staff it was expertly tested and it failed, that was final. They returned the camera to me incomplete! They managed to lose some of the attachments I gave them and I had to wait another hour for them to be located. Thankfully they did find them after an hour. I took the camera straight to the Edgware branch and handed it in for testing. After a 20 minute wait, it was passed with no issues. I explained to the manager what happened at the Harrow branch and he stated that they are totally useless there and don’t know what they’re doing. He said the camera was in pristine condition and it’s well known that the Harrow branch are inexperienced and lazy. He told me to not bother with the hacks and to bring future items to Edgware. I will be doing that from now on and advise other people to do the same. Avoid the Harrow branch, they’re absolutely useless and incompetent.

Completely rubbish. Don't waste your time trying to sell your stuff here the staff are completely and utterly incompetent in what otherwise would seem quite a simple task (buy used goods, sell used goods) I went in on a Saturday to sell some stuff. I was told by the guy that served me I could go and come back as it was taking very long, but when I returned and was served by someone else that I should have waited. I was told I should bring the power cable only for the monitor I was selling so I returned on Sunday with the power cable only, only to be told that I should also bring in the video cable (the manager relaying this information through the guy serving me was the same guy who said I only needed the power cable the day before) this made me irate so I'm sat in a cafe writing this vengeful email as I hate to have my time wasted! Message is eBay your used goods!

Not impressed with the customer service upon entering the store the asain assistant was in the middle of a argument with a customer who threw something at him which resulted in bad service for me the next customer. I just wanted to get rid of some old consoles didn't really care what money I got in return. I was told in order to sell anything I would need photo ID , he never asked if I am a member already , upon my return they checked my stuff and told me they would need to test equipment , fair enough come back tomorrow in the morning testing should be done. No problems. Upon my return the following day I was told to come back again as testing had not been done yet at this point I asked for my goods and simply put them in the nearest bin I will never shop here again not professional in the way they interact with customers

  • Mihajlo Stojanov

Appalling service. I had the worst day, trying to cell my pc. They can leave customers to wait for minutes before even address them whilst putting price stickers / tags or just chatting between themselves. I had to wait 2 times for 20 min, and one hour on top of that, just to get a quote and cell my pc. They did not communicate this one in advance. Each time you interact with poor excuses of human beings, that don't deserve a shrink of respect! In the end, they give me less that agreed an hour before, but the money are the least of the issue. They rob you from your time and money!!! Purely parhetic staff there, i don't know how they sleep at night. If you are in and out for buying a game, i guess is ok, but that place is appaling! Never set foot in that store again.

  • SumGum

If i could rate this 0 stars i would. My friend and i went to this cex on saturday and were simply shocked due to the outrageous behaviour from the staff . The worker who served us had ginger hair, blue eyes and glasses . Despite the fact my friend is over 15 and had id with him the worker had the audacity to refuse to give him the 15 age rated games . This is absolutely ridiculous as literally every other cex shop allows me to buy 15+ games if im accomponied by somone who is over 15 . However for no apparent reason the worker in harrow cex demanded both of us for id which i believe was outrageous, ridiculous and completely unesscessary . I recommend you have a strong word with the staff and resolve this problem once and for all .

Very disappointed. I came the day before to get an evaluation on my iPhone the employee said that it is bended and he will give £50 for it, I said I have some more things at home to trade in so came back the next day. I was greeted by another employee who said i could trade nothing in at all as thye dont take broken products. I show him my old working laptop and he says that he will take it in. in the end i had to wait about 4 hours for him to evaluate the laptop, then he said i need more time and said come back the next day. I left a tweet on there page but havent had any response. Don't reccondmend at all. Someone needs to tell the truth and get the rules right. I should have traded the phone the day before.

  • Lucy Scarfe

I bought a new phone from this store by selling my old one to them. Once I got the phone home I realized that CeX had sold me a phone that was on a different network to what I had asked for so my sim card didn't work. I went back the next day to get a refund only to be told by the manager that because I'd traded in my old phone I couldn't get a refund even though it was their fault. Only store credit. There was no other phone I'd requested in store on my network so I ended up having to keep the new phone and paying to get it unlocked professionally. I wasn't offered anything in return for the mix up or for my inconvenience. Bad customer service and experience overall.

  • oh really

Its usually OK but I bought a gaming mouse and one of the buttons wasn't working correctly it lkind of missed a click now and again, this may seem trivial but my son who I bought the mouse for is a professional csgo player and its very important for him that it works 100% of the time but they couldn't find anything wrong with it despite the lady who took it to be tested saying you can feel there's an issue so in the end I had to sell it back to them at a big loss and buy another one at full price...the customer is always right and in this case he was 100 % correct because even though it didn't mess up every press it did it enough for him to complain about....

  • Ali Hassan

Possibly the second worst customer service I received. I can’t decide if the staff are socially awkward or just don’t care about customer service. This is coming from some who hardly leaves a review. Also while waiting for them to check something for me a lady came into the shop with a fairly new iPhone 8 and they quoted her £42 to buy her phone. Are you serious? £42. These guys really need to be regulated for unethically under cutting their own customer. Lastly after everything was completed the guy gave me a see through membership card I never asked for. Was my personal details entered? I’m unsure.

Used to use CeX heavily for buying & selling when it first opened up in Harrow, some 15+ years ago! Having returned there recently to sell old electronics goods, imagine my surprise when very little has changed layout wise. The place could do with some sprucing up I must confess. The selling of my goods took quite a while as it had to be tested, Courtney was great to deal with. CeX game prices could do with some serious looking at though. £45 for the latest console titles is just OTT when you can grab them for a lot cheaper. Though I suppose if people buy them at these prices then fair play.

  • ken goode

I went to this store yesterday (Wednesday 19-2-20) , awhile since I have been in this store and they have changed the store , meaning instead of tills staff use ipads , the store looks different and still looks good . Also upstairs where the dvds are , they have area where you can fix things I believe phones and electronics . Cant give 5 stars as had to wait I think over 15 minutes just to buy a dvd , had to browse around to wait as only two staff working and even though I was behind one guy still he had to wait a while. If more staff was serving the service and queue would be better.

  • Clarke Inverary

The best CEX in London: I have used this Cex for years dude a combination of the great staff customer service, the wide games, phones, dvds, cameras and computer parts selections. All they have a trading in service in which I used to trade old games and tech in, to buy the new games and tech. This is a service is a God send on the high street because it gives you completed games value so they can be recycled if other people wish to play them after you. The store is always clean and well organised and I have never had a problem with anything I bought second hand from this CEX.

  • Michael Mansford

I have had a couple of dealings with Harrow CEX and unfortunately they have both been bad. Recently I returned with an iPhone for a repair and was asked for my address and phone number, I reluctantly gave this information, however was then asked for my date of birth. This is not only unnecessary, but I believe also against the law, after all a potential employer is no longer allowed to ask this information, so how can this be policy for a second-hand electronics outlet??? I refused and walked out, either CEX are into data collection or making a buck selling it elsewhere.

  • lilly lillyx

So angry... first went to Wembley store to have a look for one of the games I wanted and it was same price as new game elsewhere instead of second hand..thought maybe I will have better luck so travelled to Harrow on the Hill..found the other game I was after and the game here is second hand and costing 10 pounds more then new elsewhere... seriously what is this? So why to but second hand games at all?Even one of the staff told me that with them buying games u might be paying more or the same price as for new! Very disappointed Please avoid this company

  • Alan Sivananthan

Been going here for years and it certainly looks much better than 10 years ago. A lot cleaner and quite clinical, not the junk yard of tech it used to be. Decent customer service, but could probably do with more staff as there's nearly always a que. Try not to look at the price they resell your things for or you might feel regret... Better in CEX, than collecting dust in a draw and you'll get a liitle coin for the trouble. Clear the clutter and stop off here. There also a decent(ish) electronic store next door (correct as of 2020) to compare prices

  • Kevin Bastidas

Bought a MacBook Air 16gb order number 15754624. It looks nice great condition nothing wrong has all the components. I bought it online so it was just gonna be a pickup and that’s it. But dude. The guy at the counter had the nasties attitude for no reason. Poor customer service. I wanted to check the laptop before I left but that guy mumbled something under his breath trying to make leave faster. Seriously, that guy needs to work on his customer services skills. Or social skills over all

  • Hasan Hyder

So i get that people dont believe that the prices they offer for selling is worth it but no one else gives cheaper second hand games.... Also for people like me I paid £35 for FIFA16 when it came out 22/09/2015 and now can get £20 from it on 22/06/15 that is a great price specially when FIFA17 is coming out in 3 months... For £15 i can get the New Assassins Creed Syndicate which is Nice as i get to try a new game and save money. (Best Way is to sell through Voucher rather than Cash)

  • Rdotz

WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER! in cex the staff was great but the controllers i brought was basically broken and false advertised i was told the xbox controller was wireless but wen getting home it was not wireless but i also brought a ps5 controller as soon as i turned it on and connected it my in game character was walking to the left witch ive neva acc experienced before and i was not offered an emailed receipt in case of lost of paper receipt i demand a replacement or a refund asap

  • Mohammed Marikar

Store has been refurbished with ‘Apple Store’-style service desk right in the middle of the ground floor. Good service with both sales and purchases. ‘B’ grade phones are in pretty good nick, so no need to worry about looking for ‘A’ grade ones. 24 month warranty on electronics. If selling consoles or phones, be prepared to wait a while for testing. Could be 1 hour+ at busy times. Would definitely recommend this store, very straightforward and easy to deal with.

  • Callistus Asirvatham

Love this place as the staff in there are always so helpful and they are gamers and tech guys and girls too so they know what they are talking about and love to talk with you about it. I can honestly say one store I have never in over 10 years of using them have never had an issue. They will always try and help where they can. Defo recommended this store for trading, selling and busying used games, console and tech because they are good at it.

  • Matt Pope

Poor experience. Their supposed tech expert hasn't got a clue. Avoid. Had great experience in Hemel Hempstead. This one is just a bad employee..... Also Hemel Hempstead branch couldn't be more helpful, calling back when a valuation was complete. This "tech" failed a device because he was busy and didn't want to do the work... Lazy.... Not impressed. Oh and the stuck a massive, hard to remove sticker over the item.... All round bad experience.

  • Neo Zion

Still the best place to trade your unwanted tech and software. Great knowledgeable staff who are always helpful. If they aren't then you haven't spoken to then propely. I find them very helpful in understanding your needs and helping you make the right choices especially on gaming and consoles in my experience. Can be busy at times but they have upto 5 people serving at any one time to alleviate the queues. You get 5 stars from me!

  • Martin Wadilove

I had my house broken into and some PS5 stuff was stolen and sold at CEX Harrow when I went down there to talk to them about it the manager didn't want to know even when I showed him receipts and serial numbers of them stuff that was stolen and when I said so your not going to help me when your Store has brought stolen good he asked me to leave grate customer service do not use CEX Harrow as the item you may buy might be stolen

  • Salvatore Barbagallo

A friend of mine asked for a 1st hand game but he's been sold a 2nd hand game. When we came back staff said they were meaning: "It's like 1st hand, it's understood Cex doesn't sell 1st hand games". It's understood only for people who know the place, why it should be obvious? We wanted money back because of we've being kidnapped but we received only a voucher. Nevermore in a Cex, I'll never suggest it.

  • David Felix

Its a good place to buy cheap tech, but when it comes to buy disc games, ITS A NIGHTMARE. I bought games from them so many time and most of the time they were either scratched or not working. Its even more frustrating when you buy online, wait a few days and the game you bought doesn't work. Just buy from amazon or wait until there is a discount on the game that you are trying to buy on the console.

  • Umm Idris H-G

Every time I buy DVDs from Cex they are scratched and when I take them back they tell me they will put in their "cleaning machine" which does nothing. They won't just change it. They are quick to take money but if you have an issue they are funny with u about it. Even if u go to sell something to them, they make up problems that don't exist with the item so they don't have to give u much for it

  • Helena M.

Wow, the staff here are so friendly and really helpful! I couldn't decide between two consoles as a gift for my cousin and I got a lot of advice on which one to buy! Even though it was a busy day the team was handling it really well. Shop was nice and tidy as well. I've never seen a CEX that looks this good (although I was a bit confused on where to queue)

  • Hussain Ali

Bought a PS4. Took it home and then realised they did not provide a power cable. Went back to the store. No apology from them for my second visit. Then all powdered up at home and the console doesn't actually work. Third visit to the store and no apology but they try and fix the console. No luck then they gave me a refund. Such bad service it's shocking

  • Kristofero Kiel

I was traveling about 15, miles cause on their website I found the phone witch I will want to get. Whole journey was senseless because someone didn't checked condition of the device on the beginning when they buy it so when the employee realized that the charging port is broken then I was heard "we can't sell it".... …

  • Georgi Filipov

Not very good service! No one from staff gave me the information I needed before purchasing an item. After I did they gave me all the information I wanted but was too late and after i wanted to return the item it wasn’t an option anymore... just said I can get a in store voucher... ugh useless! Don’t recommend this place!

  • Mark G

The customer service is slow and they pay nothing for DVDs when you trade in. The lady in the shop offered me a 1p for a DVD which I accepted as I was selling a lot of DVDs. Well... I would have accepted this until the staff member was about to sell the very DVD she had offered me a 1p for to someone in the queue for £4.

  • Kashif Maqbool

An iPad I purchased from here went faulty. Since it came with a 24-month warranty, I took it back. They told me they couldn't repair it, so the lady simply replaced it with an identical model from their stock. Delighted with the service. The lady couldn't have been more helpful.

  • Louise M

Pretty sure this place swapped my WORKING ps2 that I left to be tested with a NON WORKING one so that they didn't have to give me any trading money. If only I'd taken a picture of my ps2 as proof so I could compare it with this broken, dirty one I received back from them.

  • L Williams

Being doing some early spring cleaning and had mobiles no longer in use sat in their boxes. Brought it along to CeX and was pleasantly surprised to get some money for it. Remember just because you don't use it doesn't mean it has no value. Check out CeX before binning it.

  • Riz Z

I've been visiting this and other CeX stores in London for a years, I have to say this store have the most inexperienced staff, no one really knows what they're doing. Do they go through training of any sort? I literally have to show them how to do their jobs. Appalling.

  • Lethal D

Not very helpful when trading in a phone, quoting a price and then changing it without even testing it and saying my iPhone 6 had a issue. Went to another branch in Central London and they were better, testing the phone, reporting no issues and giving a promised price.

  • Mari Hsouza

The workers there needs to learn how to treat their customers better,i felt like they didn’t give me support that was required. The workers there are very rude and they need to learn how to respect others.I don’t recommend this CeX,only if you want to get treated badly

  • Beastly gaming

They sell good games with a cheap price as well but the problem is that all the games and consoles are second hand. They close really early and sometimes when you want to buy a game that your too young for they won't allow you to buy the game or DVD

  • Zephaniah

So your system is not a live system so there is no guarantee the product will be in the shop. But what excuse do you have when you arrive at the store pick up a game and the store tells you...no sorry we donr have that game, mate really!!! Come on.

  • Albert Kuriyickal Martin

I have here twice, both the times I have been welcomed very positive way. Staffs help you if you have any doubts. Sometimes this place looks busy. But yeah still worth going to the shop to have more idea. They also offer customer support as well.

  • Ketan Desai

Went in on a Sunday a little before closing. The chap who helped me was really friendly and efficient. I was given a great voucher price which let me buy everything I was after. Stores could do with a bit of a revamp as the look super dated.

  • La J

hmmm i had few items to sell but because the person helping me couldnt find the exact codes he wouldnt accpet the items. i had a nvme ssd 256gb but he couldnt find it. same with a headset... spent ages waiting whilst he tried to locate it.

  • Constantin Show

Was awful i want to buy a phone was 105 and at checkout they said is 180 and they speak with me like was my fault I was very affected about how they speak so that manager was very disrespectful i no want for anybody this things to happen

  • Daniel Avery

Great shop with a wide selection of Games and DVD's and other electronics. But the service can be ridiculously slow. Took me 30 Minutes to buy a single game, so if you see a large queue best to not bother unless you don't mind waiting.

  • Jeremy Goberdhan (georgeandth3dragon)

Great service, love the staff, very helpful. I got over £140 from selling my stuff here, games and a ps3. They don't misquote prices like in Wembley and the staff are way better. I suggest you go here if you want to sell your stuff.

  • Tahmid mihaz 3

I was going to buy a 18+ game but they said I'm not allowed i dont know why because last time I bought a 18+ game they allowed me but this time they didn't! From now on I'm never ever going there ever again!!!!!! …

  • Al Roulexe

They take in not only new consoles, computers and games, but older items as well. They have a fantastic range of interesting items if you like computers, gaming or films. A brilliant chain that serves a very useful purpose.

  • Callum Walsh

The store is normally quieter than most other CEX stores, and when it does get busy they get through the queue quickly. Only once has it run out of cash for trade-ins. Plus, there is only one annoying grumpy staff member!

  • Ayman Ahmed

A worker tried to give me £3 for a fully working iphone 5 with a charger and nothing for a samsung galaxy s5!! Totally ridiculous. Will be shopping at game gallery from now on...( i got £60 from game gallery for the s5)

Horrible store. Rude, dismissive staff, slow service and a genuine atmosphere of discomfort successfully created by the blue haired, blue collar punks who only work here because its near the tattoo and piercings shop.

  • Patrick Carey

Friendly staff. Although I prefer this store the way it was before. Where all the staff were behind counters rather than out with customers. It makes me feel uneasy being in a “crowd” queue. Still very decent store.

  • Razvan Lazar

Just been there to get 2* micro SD cards and I've been extremely pleased with the service I've got. A big thank you to all the guys especially the guy with long hair and glasses. Many thanks guys , you made my day.

  • Xjaws2004

The layout is absolutely baffling and the workers are lazy and cant be bothered to serve the customers. They ask for ID when I tried to buy a game for 7 year olds. If you want to go to cex go to the Wembley store.

  • Ty One

I'm not a massive fan on CEX, they claim to be a trade in centre but I find them overpriced. Sometimes the games are cheaper or the same price new. I did find the staff are friendly and helpful.

  • rohan leslie

Had a refurb, helpful & knowledgeable staff. Decently refurbished electronic goods to buy with full guarantees, a reasonable price to sell unwanted tech for & get the money within 30 minutes.

  • Steve

I recently sold some items at this store. Staff and service was okay but I later realised that one of the £20 notes I received was a fake! This was confirmed by a bank, so just be careful.

  • Ernest Savcenko

Very proper gaming shop with a high level of security and very good customer service the staff members have a lot of patients in dealing with people with different needs and disabilities

  • Christian Mason

Nice variety. Couldn't buy game. I'm 18 and the rep didn't accept my Gvt issued Residence Permit stating "We really only accept drivers driver's licenses." Shall update upon next visit.

  • BryanGeek

It's ok, sometimes you can find a good deal, though mostly I find them expensive for second hand and often a pain as I have to return CD's that don't work, just not worth the hassle...

  • Chamitha Bandara

Best game shop ever, Brand New Look. Awesome staff members, always very friendly. You can find most of New and used items Ps4 Xbox Play station Dvd Phones most of electronic products.

  • Manoj

Always good service and games layed in alphabetical order to help find the one your looking for. Never had any issues with scratched discs and 90% of the time the price is unbeatable.

  • Mr. D Nicholson

100% happy with the service. See Lenke, she was very friendly and gave me some advice on what to purchase and gave me a great price for my old games. Thanks to the whole team at CEX

  • Ibrahim

They rip you off. If you take a new phone to sell They will charge you a very cheap price. For example I had a brand new Samsung Galaxy S9. The price they offered me was £250.

  • Joii

I went in there once. it was okay. i bought Spiderman 2 for the Nintendo GameCube which was originally released on the 14th of September 2001 if anyone was wondering lol xD

  • Chouaib Raziq

They used to have a anime dvd section but it's no longer there after the shop got rebuilt. They do offer interesting games though and they can repair some of your stuff

  • Adele Ceey

Good customer service, polite and friendly workers, very spacious shop so didnt feel claustrophobic. Item is in a decent enough condition. Would use the shop again.

  • PURPL3

Worst crap shop, customer service was so poor. they made me feel like a transaction just for not proving my id and i didnt know you need id's for 16 year olds.

  • Beast Gaming And More

Lots of used items and new items very good to choose from and they have a second floor filled with dvds and music and also sell console games and accessories

  • Ijah Ashby

Waited almost two hours for Cex to test a couple of phones on a quiet sat morning shift. I did receive good service which made it a 3 star instead of 1.

  • Chris J

Poor customer service in terms of no smile no personality. Take your money and walk out. Cex staff are generally like that comic guy from the simpsons.

  • Neilen Mayani

Terrible. They conveniently only honour their warranty if found to be faulty by an ‘in store test’. Which happens to not find faults very often..

  • ali khan

I didn't buy anything on this visit but I like the stock they hold. Always worth a look inside. Good range of games and entertainment equipment.

  • omar gira

Oliver is a an exceptional member of staff who delivers outstanding friendly service and character. The branch is great and always a good vibe.

  • David Flack

Used it to sell a camera. Process took less than half an hour. Friendly staff. Shop could do with a bit of a refresh.

  • Blackman Cool9

Best gaming shop on the High Street. Old games? No problem. Go and swap them and get credit or cash for a new game.

  • Dhanuka Perera

Great games! Works always. Didn't found any issues at all. Helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended .

  • Audio Haus

Awful place. Awful service. Second hand mobile phone on shelf for 30% more expensive than brand new. Avoid.

  • DrDrio

It should open at 10:00 but is not. Is 11:00 and is stil closed. What tipe of employers you have?

  • Amr Mansour

All electronic products come with 2 years warranty which is great conpared to other shops.
