On 24/02/18 David served me and saved my life (well, my pics and texts - but, ya know, life is also made of memories...)! he deserves 5 stars. but the shop manager really doesn't, hence why only 4. Here the facts: on a busy weekend afternoon David listened to me about my issues with the phone (which i thought were caused by a faulty battery, then by a faulty circuit as I had replaced the battery to no success...), tested it in real time, found out what the problem was, and sorted it out in almost no time and at almost no cost for me, as it all was due to a faulty charger (which i had bought with the phone, in that same shop, and was still in warranty). Shame that, at my previous visit a week earlier, on a calm mid-week lunch time, when i asked for the same quick test to the manager, he denied to help me, telling me very rudely I could only leave my phone to be tested by the team, with all its content deleted first by law. Now, i understand that procedure is meant to protect our data, but i had a feeling it wasn't a phone fault, a quick test could have been done in my presence, couldn't it? NOPE, he said. I hadn't done a back up in a while so didn't leave my phone, bought a new battery, still no success, and a week later went back to the shop asking to someone else if they could help to save both my phone and my memories. AND, they could, in fact. Thanks to David in 5 mins my phone was back and working fine, all its content still there and saved now. Thanks again David, if it wasn't for you the shop would have had a negative review from me on this occasion.

Went in to trade in a phone in a phone for a exchange voucher, and put the voucher towards another item in the same store. The person serving me was okay, but he told me the wait time for an item to be tested was 1 hour 30 minutes, not a problem at all i had other things to do. I had to ask 3 times if he could put the other item i wanted aside...3 times i had to tell him the item and even then he forgot and i had to remind him again before he started serving someone else. I went back an hour and a half later for the new person serving me unable to locate the item i had handed in for testing...not a good start...it then turned out the tester went on lunch and hadnt tested my item....what was he doing for an hour and half...i even heard him say he had one item in front of mine...so another 15 minute wait, 2 hours in total to test an item. The lady that served me on my return, didn't look at me, didn't talk to me and didn't even no how to turn on the phone or even where the sim card went....she toke AGES to complete the sale and i had two phone calls come in when she was testing the phone for me which she just hung up didn't even ask me if i wanted to take the call...talk about rude and bad service. This teaches me never to go to a CEX store that isn't my local one.

JORDAN absolutely disgustingly rude to me, as a customer highly disappointed. Went in to purchase some games for my daughter's console. Jordan was having a good old chat whilst a big queue was forming. Even the lady who was having a chat about which mobile she wanted said serve other people as she was quite indecisive and he refused. After waiting over 30 minutes I asked whether he or a colleague could quickly scan our items, Jordans response was no. I asked whether any other members of staff could he said "where" then rolled his eyes. I proceeded to ask if we could just be served as the queue was quite substantial. He then ignored me and continued taking his time still speaking with the lady. Another of his colleagues offered support, whilst I commented thanks that's better customer service, Jordan shrugged his shoulders. I shall not be returning and it's a shame as they are normally quite good in there .

Nice place to find good things, however in this line of business it should be evident that the staff should handle disks with care. Every time I buy a disc they put their fingerprints on the data side of the discs when they put them in to the cases. It's not fun to clean them off every time when I get home from the shop (Who likes a disk read error in the middle of a movie due to greasy fingerprints?). This is common practice unfortunately at Clapham Junction and Wandsworth South Side as well. I have yet to find a shop where they handle the discs with care and keep their fingerprints away from where it shouldn't go, would like to hear about a shop where I can get disks that don't come with the staff's fingerprints being applied as a bonus in frot of me at he counter and probably previously too when they put the disks in to the sleeves.

Played games with me, not good enough to check items they dont have control equipment? To compare against. Left in the shop with loads of items that i had checked myself and they worked perfectly but was told that they failed. When they admitted they didn't even check a console due to a controller x button not working properly when asked if they tried a different comtroller. No we aint got one. They are ment to be a computer exchange shop. They gave me little cash for the items which was a lot. I will spend the remainer of a store voucher as i cant get cash for it. And i will never set foot in there againg unless my pc brakes down. I would not recoment them i have been a member for years and left feeling embarissed and humilated.

So the situation.... I ordered some items online and unfortunately they doubled one of the items and charged me for it. So I emailed customer services and they said take it into store. The visit... I went into the store as advised and presented my problem to A lovely man named Jordan, he swiftly called over another lovely man called Adam. Within 5 minutes I had received my refund into my bank account. No Hassle, no problems. GREAT! The staff... I have never met such a kind bunch of people willing to go out of their way for you. They had all had a brilliant sense of humour and great professionalism. I would highly recommend going into this store, their range of products is great and their customer service is exceptional.

Terrible attention. If you can avoid CeX Clapham Junction avoid it. It was in March/02 2022 Inpatient staff guy, bad temper. All he needed to do was snort. He said: Please don't forget and don't lose your card. What? Yes I'll forget it, I'll play frizb with it. He told me: Your Spanish name is too long to the system. He didn't ask me. I'm not Spanish. It seems like a shenophoby. I don't know. I think it's not. What? Too long, or he was too lazy to work a bit more because a long name. In Brixton and Islington the attention was nice. Unfortunately the money will go to the same place Avoid this shop. Unfortunately CeX hired no nice person.

Poor technical knowledge/testing of products - Took a PC here a few weeks ago to sell and was told the graphics output did not work. Turns out they were connected to the wrong port. Took to another CEX and they got it to work immediately. Thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and took another PC with DVI and Display port connections, but was told they can only test with VGA. The PC was quite new so had no VGA port. Amazed and disappointed they didn't have a screen with a DVI connection. A shame but have no faith they won't waste my time again so will have to try other stores.

The guy on the till was very rude and condescending one time, probably because I had a lot to sell at once. I asked a simple question or two, just to be completely sure about everything and he answered me like I was a complete idiot who's never been to a shop before. Excuse me for wanting to double check a few things before selling almost £200 worth of stuff. Also he refused to buy one game which was american. This is fine except for the fact that I bought it from cex in the first place. Anyway I've been other times and it's been fine. Younger employees are alway nice and polite.

I’m going to be honest. This store is full of sad people that don’t like their job. The attitude towards customers is clearly aimed to a more “nerdy” audience. They look unhappy and sound unhappy unless they’re talking about an MMO game. And I’m being dead serious. Not IT Crowd more Sh. IT Crowd. Will not be coming back. Can’t even rely on them to pay you for the ACTUAL product you sell them. They’ll scan it as something else. Avoid until they find a more friendly staff. Clearly all the good ratings must be from friends because I don’t see how they have any 5 star rating.

Very poor customer service. They've lost part of my stuff during the check. The guy with the blue Marvel sweatshirt who served me on Monday seemed to be lost and took almost 20 mins just to check few items on the receipt. He started to walk around with no purpose, trying to say few no sense phrases with low voice and looking somewhere else. He was not handy at all, wasted my time and wasn't even able to tell me if my items passed the test. I had to speak to the manager but had to wait another 10 mins because there were other people complaining.

Smooth transaction without any problems. However, I was disappointed with the customer service. I completely understand that everyone has an off day and I also understand that the customer in front of me frustrated the staff. However, I was smiley and polite. I just got monosyllabic answers and no eye contact. As I said, I understand but a smile or eye contact goes a long way. I didn't want to stay in the store any longer than i had to, to have a browse as the thrash metal blaring from the speakers, was overbearing.

I've been going to this store for over 5 years and never had issues until recently when they wanted to give a B grading in a phone that was clearly an A grade, they were selling other phones in A grade that looked worse than my B grade phone, I asked them why my was a B grade but the others were A even tho they looked B and they couldn't explain. One of the stuff discriminated against me, just because I'm not from UK, probably saw my name and saw that looked foreign. Never coming back again to this store

I had an Issue with an item that I bought online and the customer service recommended me to bring it to the closest CEX near my area. I am glad I live near the Clapham Junction brunch then because the customer service was impeccable. The manager understood quickly the whole situation and promptly guided his colleagues in what to do to solve my issue. I gave the item back and received the refund just couple of hours after. Great experience and fair prices too, I will sure come back in future!

So I had to return a product I just received in the mail as it did not meet my expectations. Dropped by the store the first time and was greeted by a manager who told me to leave my product there for testing, and would get back to me later. He never did. Had to go all the way back, but spoke to a staff member called Dwayne this time. He fixed it up in literally 10 seconds. Epic customer service. The guy should literally be the new manager.

One of the worst CEX stores for welcoming atmosphere, staff and AManager. Staff appear on edge and generally clueless, the manager tall bulky dude gave customers and staff a look of daggers, dismissive about customers in ear shot of myself and the queue, zero managerial skills. A simple blu ray buying transaction became a 10min saga. I left feeling anxious and annoyed. Makes Notting Hill Record & Tape Exchange look like John Lewis. Avoid

Worst experience ever. This was a while back, but recently I tried to give them another chance. Worst decision ever! I wanted to sell my nearly mint iPhone, & while checking the condition, they took off the screen protector. When I got back there was a decently sized scratch on the screen, and they had the cheek to tell me because of the scratch, I'd be offered £50 less. Don't go to Cex when selling, they rob you anyway.

This store is one of the few stores that you should avoid in total. The pros are that the staff are not too bad when it comes to serving customers but i feel like they should try harder. The elephant in the room of this review is the store managers. The managers are MONEY HUNGRY AND CORRUPT if possible go to another store as you will get screwed over by these individuals.

The store is a reasonable size with everything you need in easy to locate areas; enough space to check out the items & queueing etc. The staff are equally nice but in particular both a lady & gent who both wear glasses (except the gent has long long hair down to his back - I'm sorry I didn't catch their names) whom are always nice & always have manners.

Visited the store today for the first time and i can say the customer service i received was POOR. Staff member 49219 is incredibly passive and rude, i will never go back here and would rather go back to peckham or kilburn store and i live near the store which says a lot. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE AS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ATROCIOUS!!!!

This shop has gone way down! I went in here yesterday and stood for 15! yes 15 mins! while some staff member was looking at a laptop! I haD TO ASK TWICE TO BE SERVED! when I was served the wrong D.V.D was in the case and I was asked " how badly do you want this item! " IWALKED OUT! EMPLOY MORE STAFF OR RETRAIN YOUR STAFF!

From cleanliness and organisation, with all dvds painstakingly arranged in perfect alphabetical order on a regular basis, to smiling, human customer service and well trained staff, this CeX should serve as an example for all other branches. Cex is scammers selling iPhones saying “unlocked to all network” but it’s sim locked and when you take it back they ask to see your receipt and the they try to steal it so you can’t return it I don’t recommend any one ever to buy an iPhone at cex or anything expensive e.g laptop or iPads etc.

Cex has now delivery option and click and collect, which I used...it was fast, easy and the shop has precautions for covid, like you can only go to the shop if they send you a message. People has to go with a mask and in the shop they have hand cleaning.

No real complaints. Staff could do with being a bit cheerier but I guess they work in a CeX, so it’s to be expected. There was a smell of urine near the 50p DVD section. I guess I do have a couple of complaints after all.
