Visiting the San Diego area with my 9 yrs old dog with known hip issues. She injured her knee while visiting in SD so I took her to Center Urgent care. Upon arrival to the clinic the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. When we were brought into the exam room by the RVT, she was very short and didn't really let me explain much before she said she had to take my dog for an orthopedic exam. Dr.Miller came in. I gave her a little more back story on my dog that I felt was relevant and she seemed to listen. She told me my dog likely tore her CCL and would recommend pain medication, strict rest, and sling assisted movement until I could get in to see a specialist. I am a licensed veterinary technician so all this sounded normal to me. But then she said she was prescribing codeine. I explained my dog was sensitive to opioids and I didn't feel comfortable with that and she persisted saying that the knee was so painful that she needed the meds. I told I still thought the dose was too much so she said I could give a half dose to see if that was okay. When I got home that night I gave a half dose of the codeine. After awhile my dog was extremely sedate and weak but at the same time had an increased respiratory rate, seemed anxious and dysphoric, and had bouts of restlessness. I knew that was a side effect of the medication but I was hopeful that overnight she would relax and be okay the next day. She seemed okay in the morning just painful, so I gave another half dose of codeine. A little while later she became worse than the night before, she didn't have the sedative effect but the others were there. Her pupils were dilated and she had mild nystagmus in the left eye. So I called the vet back to see what to do. The receptionist informed me that someone would get back to me tomorrow and I explained I really needed an answer sooner than that so she said she would flag it to get a return call sooner. Later that afternoon the practice manager called and asked what was going on. I explained and she told me that there was nothing that could be done. I would need to be seen again if I was that concerned because the urgent care is run separately from the day practice and they would have to do a whole new exam, etc. She also claimed that the new developments had nothing to do with the side effects of the codeine and that was a separate issue. Her words were "neurologic issues and nystagmus are unrelated to CCL injury". I tried to explain that as an LVT I understood but I was concerned about the codeine effects and she just kept saying I'd have to have a whole new appointment. She also explained there were pain management alternatives to the codeine that are used in day practice and that in the day practice they rarely ever prescribe codeine. After this experience I felt very wronged, disrespected, and misled by this clinic. How can you run 2 separate businesses and not do rechecks at your day practice that were seen at urgent care? And how can you have multimodal pain management that is not accessible to urgent care patients but is to the day practice? As a client and an LVT I would not return to this clinic nor recommend it to others.
Have you ever been to a restaurant that you thought was downright awful but everyone raved about it? Like the experience at this metaphorical restaurant was so truly awful that your overall life has become a little worse just for having experienced it? That the difference between your experience and the rave reviews was so absolutely different that you couldn't help but wonder what in the world was going on? At that metaphorical restaurant, the actual main attraction (the food) was awful, cold, and made without love. The front of house (host or hostess) was constantly getting things wrong or making mistakes. The cost was far more than the overall experience warranted. But the reviews for the restaurant are amazing, people love it and have a wonderful experience so you're left wondering if you're crazy or losing it? That was my experience at this vet. I could go into all the details of everything that went wrong, over several visits and at each point of the process, but it's honestly not worth my time. The one thing I'll say is now that I've found a better vet, it makes it really truly clear just how bad the experience I had, and the care my pet had was. I could never recommend this place,--putting the absolutely long list of terrible experiences and care aside, for the sole fact that when coming in for an urgent care visit to see if my dog was healing right after a surgical procedure (and if not what we could do to get back on track) the veterinarian said that they had a pet in a similar situation (peeing and pooping accidents) and euthanasia was a relief for them, and something we need to consider. Less than a week after that absolutely bizarre comment from the Center vet, after going to a much better vet, our dog is back to himself. Completely. Completely! Can you imagine if that advice was given to someone else who trusted their vet without pause? I was honestly happy that I wasn't the only person in the room when the vet said that about euthanasia, because I don't know if someone would have believed me if I said when I went to the vet to consult why my dog was still having diarrhea, the vet recommended euthanasia. Absolutely bonkers! This dog has a complex medical history aside from the reason for the visit, but this vet clearly had a different philosophy on caring for a special needs dog and it was immediately clear we were in the wrong place and talking to the wrong person. To make things worse, this vet who we had just met a week prior said we looked tired as a reason for the euth recommendation. Of course we were tired, our dog was in pain and struggling after their procedure, hence our visit there. Again, and I can't emphasize this enough, I could never recommend! Ever! Ever! Absolutely it's a massive in-your-face Red flag if the conversation about care for your pet after a non-major procedure is a recommendation for euthanasia because I looked tired and my dog is stressed or healing slowly! Completely weird! 0/10 experience!
My little 10 pound dog ended up with a second fox tail in her ear ( in 10 days)it was a weekend and it was getting late and I got an appointment right away. I was shocked. First off, the office is immaculate when you walk into the waiting room, secondly, the staff is very friendly, third, the people in the waiting area all seem to be happy, which I could tell you from owning three dogs is an unusual event. We were met in the lobby and taken to an exam room and a vet tech named Keith introduced himself, and we went through some very thorough background information. When you’re worried about your pet, you really want them to pay attention to what you’re saying and it sure they did and it was pleasant. The entire time he shared a little bit about himself and his pet, which was really a nice icebreaker. The doctor came into the room and everything was in order already she examined my dog and they decided it would be better to take her into the back area to see if they could get the fox tail out. Just minutes later to my surprise they brought her back in and she didn’t need to be sedated. They already taken the fox tail out. That’s impressive. Both the doctor and Keith told me what a good girl she was, which is always nice to hear. I went back to the waiting room so they could add some ointment to her ears and give her a few minutes to recover. Keith came out told me it wouldn’t be very long , the next thing I know I was asked to the front desk where (by the way ) the girls were really pleasant. I can’t say enough good about this veterinary clinic it was an urgent situation you pay a little more but that’s OK because when is your baby you would pay almost anything. Special thanks for the staff.
I initially was not going to publicly review this clinic, however I am still left extremely disappointed with the communication aspect of this business. I understand that a large majority of customers love this place, however I had an opposite experience. When I wanted a different plan of care from one of the veterinarian "highly recommended" plan, I felt the staff changed in the way they spoke to me. I felt very judged and rushed through the appointment. All this I was willing to look past, until one of the owners personally called me to speak about my poor experience. This was initially a good conversation, until the owner of the business suggested I was upset because I could not afford the care they offered and that they waived the fee for a full head to toe examination. The examination, based on what I was told from their staff, was waived because I adopted my pet from the humane society. I also did not choose this clinic because of the free exam, I actually was unaware about this until they brought my pet out to me and told me that information. I also felt it was HIGHLY inappropriate that a provider would make assumptions about my financial standing. Asking for price quotes, does not mean that I am broke, it means that I plan my financials responsibly! I feel badly about writing this review as I have never had an experience like this, but I am disappointed and shocked that this is the way they would treat customers.
It’s taken me time to write this review because it was too painful to write about the passing of my Toby. He was with me for 16 years. I went to the urgent care late at night and from the moment I walked in I was treated with kindness. Let me tell you this was the first time me taking in my dog to the urgent care since my regular vet doesn’t open at night. Dr. Vallejo was patient and understanding since my dog needed to be put down as he was suffering with seizures and pain. She treated me like a friend, she was there giving me support I didn’t feel so alone (I went by myself btw) and made me feel at ease with the difficult process of saying goodbye to my best friend. After that I asked to take him home cause I wanted to bury him. They prepared the most beautiful box and attached a beautiful poem and a picture of doggie passing the rainbow. Which felt so heartfelt cause they didn’t have to do that I wasn’t charged for the box also. After this they sent me a handwritten postcard with a beautiful message and everyone that was there that night including Dr. Vallejo signed it. I have NEVER been treated with such KINDNESS and understanding. They made an unbearable process beautiful. Thank you so much so much for treating me and Toby in such a way I will never forget it. If anyone is thinking of bringing your pet here don’t hesitate. Their prices are reasonable and the service is unparalleled. Thank you again❤️
Could not recommend this place enough! I am a first-time cat owner and had a very bad experience with my first vet. Dr. Clore is AMAZING and her staff (Kara specifically) is just as AMAZING. My trust in vets has been restored. From our first interaction with Kara I knew this would be a different experience from the first vet we took our cat to. Kara was so personable, caring and her passion for her job was very evident. I immediately knew I could trust her with my poor, sick cat. Dr. Clore was also very personable and knowledgable. The care here is pet/patient-centered, meaning that the well-being of your pet is their first and foremost priority. I know that sounds cliché, but it's hard to come by health care professionals (both in the human and animal realm) that practice this way. Dr. Clore clearly outlined her assessment and plan for our cat, made her recommendations and left the decision up to my partner and I. From start fo finish Kara and Dr. Clore were very empathetic and so sincere! They even followed up the following day to ensure my cat was doing better. Not only was it a pleasant experience at this clinic, but our cat was better in a matter of hours and is back to his normal self. If you want the best care for your pets look no further!
Fantastic service. I felt confident in the treatment received and the wait time was not as bad as they had warned. Mikey was a severe case and had to be hospitalized in the middle of the night right after we left Center Vet. Although they had to have him in more intensive care, they approved of the treatment Center Vet prescribed and Mikey is now recovering. I didn’t get anyone’s name, but there is a man who is bald (sorry!) with facial hair. He looks tough, but he loves dogs and even carried Mikey for me when they had to move him due to another aggressive dog being weighed. Your front office coordinator was also great and everyone would make conversation when they saw how nervous I was. It was an extremely positive experience. The doctor that saw Mikey was also fantastic, a blonde woman. Thank you so much for everything, especially the recommendation of the bland diet wet food. Mikey is beyond picky, but he is so excited for this food. Great job.
We have a 14 yr old mini schnauzer named Cooper with recent back disc problems. We had used our local Banfield vet clinic for the past few years but when it actually came to paying attention to our little girl’s back problem the vet was too busy up selling us for their corporate bottom line to even pay attention. Disappointed and lost we found Center Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Emily Clore. What a relief to have a veterinarian and staff who actually care. She and her Vet Tech Maddie spent over an hour with us examining Cooper and developing an actual treatment plan and reassuring us that Cooper might do ok. The whole feeling about the hospital and entire staff was welcoming rather than to overworked annoyed horror story at Banfield. If you care about your pet then I highly recommend this veterinary hospital. If you don’t care then just send your money to Banfield and don’t bother them.
Do NOT take your pet here. They are here for the money and that’s all. Occasionally the vet with be cordial with the pet but they’re really here to make money. I requested the vet come out and explain the medication and they said they couldn’t do that I would have to schedule another follow up appointment, then spending more money. I requested my dog not be tranquilized for the X-rays but they ignored that and did it any way. I had to carry my dog out and back home because she was unable to walk from the tranquilizer. Also note when they put you on hold, they’re not helping people. Witnessed first hand today a male vet tech, answer the phone and say “is this an emergency or can I place you on hold” and then continue to talk about buying a car with his co worker. Totally unprofessional and inappropriate.
Highly recommend CVC, Dr Bigelow and Dr Clore have saved my puppy 5 years ago, they didn't give up and did everything for him. Since not only they have looked after my senior dog and my puppy but i have referred a lot of people there that all voted them as the best Veterinary in town. I also work with a lot of rescue and everytime we are pulling a dog out of the shelter, CVC is there and found a way to see the shelter dog to assess before we bring him/her into a foster home (they are going above and beyond and we love them for that). Michelle is their phenomenal groomer, and our dogs love her. Our dogs have a lot of fur and during their grooming she was able to detect some lumps that we could not see and therefore we could take care of it right away. Like i said they are always going above and beyond...
Had a scare with our two year old mini Australian Shepard. We were frantically searching for an urgent care with an opening for the same day and called about 10 places around 2pm. Center Vet Urgent Care was able to get us in that same evening with an apt around 8:45pm. Be aware… The urgent care functions as a normal triage (and we were warned by staff when we first made the apt over the phone that the time might not be exact when we’d be seen), however, we were seen on time and in and out in about 2 hours with answers. Staff was so friendly, caring, and respectful. The vet sat on the floor with our pup when she was nervous about being there and the techs were great as well. Price seemed about what we were expecting in the area… Hands down would recommend!
I LOVE THIS VET OFFICE! Dr. Bellmund and everyone I have encountered there is absolutely wonderful!! They helped my dog Maggie through a worrisome pregnancy and kept me posted all all her labs. Not only by posting the results in the portal, but the doctor actually contacted me to make sure I understood the results. I did, but it was greatly appreciated. The portal they have is great. You can review medical, immunizations, send messages and such. All office notes are also emailed to you also. When I came in with 5 puppies, they helped me from the time I pulled up in the parking lot to when I had to get them back in the car. I am a nurse, and know great care when I see it. You will absolutely get wonderful care for your pet here.
I just moved to the area from Colorado and before I could even make a wellness visit for my Great Dane, Mr President, he developed some rashes on his cheeks. The front desk team was extremely kind and was able to get me in ASAP. The technicians and doctors were nothing short of excellent. Further, the whole team at this hospital was extremely professional and a pleasure to be around. I worked as a veterinary technician for a few years back when I was in college and spent time in several different hospitals. This facility surpassed the quality of care at the facilities I myself worked at years ago. Now that he’s had his appointment, we can get back to cruising the open road together as usual. I will be coming back for life!
I have started taking my pets here and I am very happy. The employees are always on point and take great care of my fur babies. They disclose costs before doing anything, and keep you updated through any procedures. When my dog was in surgery they called me several times to update me on anything and on how my pup was doing. Also my dog doesnt get along with other dogs, so they take special care that when she is in the clinic that she wont interact with any other dogs. That was my biggest worry and now after being here several times, I feel at ease. I really appreciate the team and all they do. I have also used urgent care, and also love it. Its nice to have somewhere to go when its too late for the regular vet office.
Over the years I have had more pets that I can count on both hands, so I've been to a lot of different vet hospitals. Center Veterinary Care impressed me SO much with how they handled my situation and my cat, George. I visited during their urgent care hours because George had a large abcsess and fever. Gail put me at ease right away and I really felt like I could trust them with his life. Dr. Brown took care of his procedure and did a beautiful job with stitches and drain, followed by patiently answering my barrage of questions post op. Their prices are very fair and I will definitely bring George back when needed for regular check ups. I appreciate this wonderful group of people immensely for saving George!
Believed this was an alright for the first few years, brought my German Shepard in last week for a emergency surgery paid the 4k and sure enough stitches weren't holding up, took her in a few day later for another 700 to add a few more stitches which they couldve added initially and saved me some money, which 2 have opened up today and of course they're closed today so looking at another 1-2k plus to go the the ER tonight. Or maybe I'll have to put her down. As a disabled veteran on limited cash I now have to decide whether to save my dog after already spending 5k or fork up more money starve for the next few months. Anyways maybe it's just my luck and I should keep eating the loses.
I have come in for both urgent care and day practice appointments and always have a great experience! The staff are so caring and patient with my cats and they really take the time to answer all my questions and concerns. Your receptionist Ari is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, definitely a great person to be at the front desk helping people! And your Tech Shauna (I hope I spelt that right) is amazing, she’s been my tech for nearly every visit I’ve come in for. She seriously comes in and treats your pet as if it’s one of her own and she makes sure to thoroughly explain what’s going on. I would absolutely trust this practice with all 6 of my cats’ lives!
Was recommended by an emergency vet to bring my dog here for urgent care, and even though they were at capacity when we showed up they still agreed to take her and get her seen by the end of the night. The vet tech and receptionist were able to figure out what was most likely causing her symptoms, but let us wait in the lobby as long as we needed to make sure her condition wasn’t worsening. The vet ended up checking her over free of charge to confirm the suspected problem so I could have peace of mind before taking her home. This was the best experience I have ever had with any emergency/urgent care vet. Thank you!
Love this clinic and highly recommend bring your pet here! My dog had severe neck pain and when I called for any openings, they asked if I could come check in for urgent care in 30 minutes! I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Despite being a walk-in, it was very efficient - I was in and out in around 2 hours. Above all, the staff was super kind and responsive. They were awesome with communication in the days following, especially when I brought up additional concerns. Really appreciated getting care here when my dog was in pain. He’s doing a lot better now thanks to Center Vet + Urgent Care!
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I really appreciated they were able to get us into an appointment the day of, and they offered us a regular appointment vs. an urgent care appointment when someone cancelled. The vet and the technician truly seemed to love what they do. I felt like my dog was in great hands and they really made us feel taken care of. We already have a veterinarian we’ve been going to for many years (they were fully booked the day of our visit), but I would not hesitate to come back to Center Veterinary Clinic if my pet has any urgent care needs in the future. Thank you so much!
I cannot say enough about the amazing staff here! Our regular vet, and several others around town, were booked out two or three weeks. I managed to get an appointment a couple days out at Center Veterinary Clinic for our cat, Pierre. When he got worse, we brought him into the urgent care hours and he was seen quickly, with the doctor clearly explaining her exam and a treatment plan. He got an antibiotic and was back home in under two hours. He's now well on his way to being his old self. We are so grateful and will be recommending Center Veterinary Clinic to all our friends with pets
Dr Bigelow got my dog, Gunter, seen almost immediately when he heard of the grim prognosis we were given and that we wanted a second opinion. He was very cautious to contradict the other vet until he had all tests/proof that he felt he needed to warrant the contradiction. He offered explanation and made sure I understood what he was telling me and how he knew that’s what it was. He kept my dog that same day to run more labs, xrays, etc that required sedation and had him back to me within a few hours. Safe and a just a little groggy. So, so thankful for this vet and his staff.
We have a cane corso that is fairly large and everywhere we go he gets judged as a pit bull, which I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST PIT BULLS but no one every wants to show him love or meet him because he looks like a pit bull. But as soon as we walked into this establishment they greeted him with open arms!! Giving him treats and toys to play with and it felt really nice to meet a group of people that didn’t judge my dog off of how intimidating he looks. As they found out after playing with him he’s a big snuggle bug. I would highly recommend anyone sending their dogs here.
We are so lucky to have found this vet! The staff is very friendly and helpful. I came in during the off hours of urgent care for an emergency and they were so understanding of the situation. Took care of my dog right away. My dog had an accident right at the front door as soon as we walked in and Gail was so kind to clean up after him and fit us in to be seen by a doctor. Dr. Spellmeyer and the tech Sayaka worked diligently to find out what was wrong with my dog. I’m so thankful to have found such great care for my dog! I highly recommend this vet!!
It is very nice to know there are vet offices out there that still have great receptionist to make you feel like you are not a bother and that they are there to assist you. They did a great job at easing any worry about my pets. When it comes down to figuring out whether it's an emergency or not coming from a vet office background myself I know the signs and the staff here is doing a great job at reassuring their clientele that they are here to help instead of demonstrating frustration and going straight to telling people it's a 5 hour wait time.
Dr. Smallcomb is wonderful and has such a great relationship with our dog Bella. She will get on the floor to love on her and make her comfortable before examining her. It’s great to have a vet that loves our pets as much as we do! Their techs are great and always take wonderful care of our dog and give her all the love. Spent a lengthy time speaking to the owner Dr. Bigelow about the previous experience and he answered all my concerns. It shows a lot of care for the business for the owner to take their time to call a concerned client.
If I could give this clinic 100 stars, I would. I had a very sick puppy who was positive for distemper. We have taken him to other urgent cares and when our primary vet refused to care for him, Center Vet was the ONLY clinic/urgent care that accepted him. Our puppy received THE BEST care and has fully recovered with the thorough care, support, and monitoring from the techs and doctors at Center Vet. Because of Center vet, our puppy will now be able to live a happy, healthy, and full life and we are SO thankful for Center Vet.
Such genuinely friendly and caring employees, who obviously love working with animals. One of the groomers Taylor is so great, my dog Angus is a 80lb pitbull mix who is reactive when having his nails trimmed, so obviously quite a handful, and they always does such a great job! At a different groomers in the past I've been told that my dog would need to be put under anesthesia every time for him to get his nails clipped safely, so it really means so much to have people with enough experience and patience to work with my dog.
The staff at Center Veterinary Clinic and Urgent Care are knowledgeable, caring, and efficient. My dog started limping on a recent Friday morning. I called CVC and got an appointment that afternoon. Dr. Bellmund and Sakaya did a thorough (yet gentle) exam and recommended X-rays. They carefully explained the results - my dog has a partial cranial cruciate ligament tear in her hind left leg. I am so grateful that they helped my pup feel better by the next morning. I give this vet and their staff my highest recommendation!
As always, my experience at this vet was nothing but good things to say. It was easy to schedule an appointment, and I was in and out no problem. They are also very patient with my anxious dog, and he does so well with them. What started out as just an urgent care visit a few months ago turned into our primary vet once I saw how well their office functioned with both me and my pet. I recommend them to all of my pet parent friends, and will continue to bring my loved pet there for all care!
Our Vet was booked until the end of June and many of the other local Vets were also booked for a couple of weeks out. A friend referred us to the Center Veterinary Clinic and Urgent Care and they saw my dog that same day. We were in and out in less that 2 hours. (Another Pet Hospital quoted me 4-6 hours to wait in the car before he was even going to be seen!) He is doing much better now. I highly recommend this clinic and I will definitely use them again if the need arises.
Doctor Brown and her care-team are extremely kind, caring, and empathetic. They all have wonderful personalities and took time with the clients to answer any questions and explain what's going on. Very confident and knowledgeable staff ( from front desk to the vet techs) I saw them be gentle and loving with all of the animals, which made me feel confident that my fur baby is in safe hands. Fair cost for services. I definitely recommend and will return when needed.
This was my first experience at Center Vet with Dr. Bigelow and his staff and I have very high standards. I have my puppy neutered and I was very happy. They were very personal, appreciated the personality of my pup, answered all of my questions. They helped the next day when I returned because the cone had to be replaced. Very supportive. He's all healed after 6 days! Amazing. No pain after the first day. I got lucky with my dog and a great vet!
What a great experience we had a the Center Veterinary Clinic. Our puppy was very anxious and crazy scared at the last place we went for her appointments - so finding Dr Bigelow and the amazing staff at Center Vet Clinic turned out to be wonderful. They were super with getting her comfortable and relaxed for the visit and we plan to keep going because they take such great care of our pets! I Highly recommend you try this place for your pets too!
This review has been long overdue, I took my dog here when he was sick and it was the closest vet to me at the time that was open. Well the vet (can’t remember her name) told me to put my dog down because it was too much work to figure out. It didn’t feel right so I took him to a different vet in Poway and they said that he had pancreatitis. Whole visit cost me $900 just for her to tell me to put my dog down when in reality he had pancreatitis
The staff was kind and caring during a scary situation. They took the time to show us how to give our cat her medication, and to make sure we understood all the directions needed for her treatment, before we left. In the week since her taking her into their urgent care they've followed up by phone and email a few times. Their concern for her seems sincere. We're grateful for Dr. Brown and the team at Center Vet Clinic and Urgent Care.
I have put my pet to sleep and it’s really hard for my family. They said two weeks before we get our pet ashes waited and I called back after 2 weeks telling me I still have to wait 2 more weeks. I paid almost $700 for everything very expensive. If you have pet I advise you not to go this place. So many places you can go that is not expensive and you can get there ashes after a day. I wish I research before I got to this place.
Dr. B and the staff are so great. Not only are they incredibly knowledgeable, but they show their compassion for pets and humans every time we visit. The office is a cheerful and welcoming place to visit. Dr. B. is great at answering all questions. He is amazing at "reading" animals and putting them at ease. He does a great job of including your wishes into your pet's care. Can't say enough about them. I HIGHLY recommend them.
I have been using Center Vet for over 22 years. I continue to use their services to take care of my 3 rescue pups because. not only they are professional doing a fabulous job at treating my dogs with everything from nail trims to complex medical treatment, they have a professional yet warm demeanor that sets my mind at ease when my furry kids are being treated. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone & their furry babies!!!
We asked for a standard tooth cleaning treatment for our pet, the clinic quoted $500 then charged us $2,000. When we asked to look at the itemized bill, we noticed that the clinic added an $800 surcharge for 'additional anesthesia' that should have been included in the $500 quote. If you don't want to be taken advantage go elsewhere. If you feel you have to deal with this clinic, get a quote in writing to avoid surprises.
I originally brought my two puppies here for spaying after a friend recommended them. The vet we had used for over 15 years had gotten too expensive, but I was hesitant to try someone new. I'm so glad I did. The office is clean and spacious and the staff are friendly and informative. You can tell they love what they do. Their fees are very reasonable and I never have to wait when I bring my dogs in for shots or exams.
This place is great. I get greeted right when I walk in by the receptionist. I take my 2 German shepherds to board there and they always greet them by name when I drop off and are always so happy to see them. When I pick my pups up I always get a report card of how their “vacation” stay was. I always hang it on the fridge. Always smells nice and very clean. Thank you for taking great care of my pups, I appreciate it.
For ten years have always traveled to go to this specific office. The front office staff and vets are the very best. I’ve had a few serious situations with my pets, and receive focused attention, frequent and thorough updates, and caring and attentive service! For the most recent incident with my pet, I’ve loved the careful attention of techs Natalie and Vincent, and veterinarians, Emily and Vidhya.
Dr Clore is just wonderful! I was so worried about my cat, but she addressed each of my concerns with great care and clarity, and included me in putting together a treatment plan. I really appreciate all of the COVID precautions, and the curbside pet drop-off was convenient. I know my cat is in great hands here. She's already her happy playful self once again! Thank you so much!
I’ve been bringing Parker to Center Vet since the day I got him at 2 months old. They’ve been nothing but loving and caring while treating him and they go out of their way to ensure I feel comfortable. The team’s customer service is always above and beyond expectations and although I’ve moved further away from the office, I still choose to make the drive over to Center Vet.
We visited this clinic late on a Saturday as an emergency with our cat, and it was a very easy and smooth experience. Our cat was seen, taken back for surgery, and released to us with meds and a follow-up visit scheduled in only a matter of hours, and all for a very reasonable price. I’m very happy with the care we received and with everyone we spoke to that night.
Our visit was great! Dr C called me while I was waiting in the car (pandemic) and gave me her review of my dog, provided feedback on her overall condition, and made me aware of an outbreak in the county that maybe we should vaccinate against. Perfect care. Technicians I spoke to were also great. We have used Center Vet for about 3 years now and will continue.
I take my doggie June to the Center Veterinary Clinic every other month to get groomed. Shes a white Samoyed/Chow, and has tons of fur. They do a great job everytime and she looks beauuuutiful! They say when its blow drying time, it rains snow! They file her nails and shave some fur in some dirty areas. Overall great experience!
Urgent care was able to get me in same day/evening. Urgent care vet Dr. Tara Miller was reassuring and helpful. My concerns were validated even though it turns out there was no concern by the vet. I’d rather be overly cautious than too late when it comes to my pup’s health. Definitely would recommend for urgent care services!
The team at. Center Veterinary Clinic are fantastic. They care about your pet family members as much as you do. I’ve been going to Center Vet for more than 20 years and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. The doctors know how to help your pets and the Tech staff are excellent too. Check them out. You won’t be disappointed!
Great Care and not a huge long wait time. Rosie needed some stiches but not an 8 hour wait at the Emergency Vet. Center Vet Clinic was the perfect spot. we got Rosie some stiches and a few prescriptions and we were out in a very reasonable amount of time. Thanks for the great care and the follow up calls to check on Rose.
Had a great experience when my dog was bitten by another dog. Everyone was very friendly and nice, and they explained information well. I appreciated that they started attending to my dog within a few minutes of coming in for my appointment (I'm used to both vets and human doctors making you wait in the lobby for 20 min).
Rest assured Dr. Bigelow, the other veterinarians and staff will care for your beloved animal is if he/she were their own. Friendly staff make you and your furry companion feel like family from the minute you walk in the door. Our dog, Cyrus, actually runs up to the door whenever we take him to Center Vet. THE BEST!!
Excellent service. We’ve been taking our dog since we adopted her in 2018 at age 3 years old. She had a heart condition and able to live for 7 years. The staff showed us compassion when Ellie passed away. They did their best to help us care for her. Now we have two puppies that also get their care from Center Vet.
This experience was amazing. Everyone was whom we had verbal or physical contact with (socially distanced) was extremely helpful, nice and just overall great! I felt so comfortable I even made appointment for our other pet. Thank you for having such great customer care and truly caring for my precious baby girl.
I’ve been to multiple vet offices and this is the first one where I’ve seen special care and attention for a nervous dog. Instead of putting him on a loud mechanical table and trying to hold him steady, the doc worked around my dog in an open exam room, making sure he got comfortable. Such a great experience.
I had to take my dog Winnie to this urgent care a few days ago and the care she received was phenomenal. They fit us in, even though they were busy, and took care of her so well. The staff was so kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants the best care for their pet.
This is a perfect one stop shop for all of our pup's needs, from routine check-ups, grooming, to even broading. The staff is always friendly and professional. They are quick to respond to emails. Dr Bigalow is very patient and takes the time to discuss all the care options best for our pup!
Center Vet Clinic is the best in San Diego. By far the best care, doctors and customer service we've ever had in the county. I would recommend them to every pet parent. They were there for us on our toughest day and were empathetic, kind and incredibly efficient. Thank you, Center Vet Team!
Very efficient, friendly, informative, and professional. Keith is super awesome and has a great sense of humor. I am a new pet owner so I appreciate the help and education from staff. I feel comfortable working with them and look forward to a long relationship with them and my pets.
I really like this vet! The staff is friendly, the facility is cute and Clean. The best thing is they email you detailed reports about the visit for your home records which I really appreciate! Transparent about prices, no pressure or guilt advice. Friendly staff. Communicative
They always take such good care of our pup, it's nice to have vets you can really trust. All the technicians are awesome too, they really love what they do and the groomer does an awesome job too. Even though we moved further away, we still take our pup here and always will.
This place is beyond amazing!!! I brought my 11 year old dog in here after being misdiagnosed at another hospital. They saved my dogs life!!! They were so nice and treated us like family. If you need a vet that treats your fur baby like one of their own...then come here!
The staff at center veterinary clinic treat my fur babies like their own. They always have the best interest in my fur families health. I feel always comfortable with the care they provide and we always leave with a smile. I’m so happy we chose them as our vet provider!
Absolutely the best of the best care and attention I've gotten from any vet clinic I've ever been too! They took such good care of Riza and gave me such peace of mind, I couldn't believe it! Truly one of the best and most memorable experiences of my life! …
We have been coming to Center Veterinary Clinic for 14 years and we could not imagine having to take our pups elsewhere. The office staff and Drs treat us and our pups like family. We are grateful to have such an amazing place to take our fur babies for care.
Center Vet Clinic is amazing. They are always on time and treat my dog with tender loving care. They follow up with a phone call after procedures or vaccinations. Very professional and well run business. I highly recommend them for your furry family members.
We loved taking our golden retriever to Center Vet Clinic! They were so sweet with her and took great care of her as well as provided me with thorough and easy to comprehend information about her current health. The facility is also super clean and inviting.
Center Veterinary Clinic and Urgent Care did an amazing job of taking care of our dog while we were visiting San Diego. The staff were pleasant and professional. They followed up with us later to make sure that our dog was doing better. Highly recommended.
Great service with reasonable price. They're quite on top of things as well so it's always a pleasure to visit. I would ask for their specific grooming services though if you plan to come for grooming, so you can add or take out whichever you prefer.
What an amazing place! Doctor Brown and her staff took such great care of my little pup. I am so happy I have found this place. They truly care about your little fur baby. I am extremely impressed. Thank you for everything!! Love, Schatzi and Rachel
Have been going there for many years. Dr. B and gang go above and beyond to help and guide. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Like the day after a procedure, shots, etc. call to make sure your furbaby is ok. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Love this place! I have experienced two of the three veterinarians (Dr. Bigelow and Dr. Clore). Both were kind, knowledgeable, and addressed all concerns I had. I started taking my animals here during COVID, so I could not go inside with my
After trying two days to book an appointment with my regular veterinary office, I was so appreciative to have care for my Kitty Cat on a weekend. The staff and doctor were all very professional and friendly. It wasn't a serious emergency,
Updated: everyone at the office is so polite, reassuring and professional. We recently moved to Oklahoma and I planned our road trip back to visit family here around Orla's wellness and vaccine appointment. So worth it! Highly recommend.
We have bringing our bull terrier Almond here since she was 12 weeks old. Dr. B is really nice and very knowledgeable. The rest of the staff is very friendly and you can tell that they all love animals. We've brought Almond in here for
Center Vet Clinic truly does treat my pets like family. They are honest, clear in explanations, and understanding in allowing me to make the best decisions for my pets without any judgment. I have been taking my dogs here for over ten
Brought our 13 year old dog to the Urgent Care with a foot injury. The staff saw us promptly and were very caring. They helped our dog in and out of the car gently and were very good with her. Great service and care. Highly recommend.
Our dog had a great urgent care experience here. Dr. Brown and the staff helped our sick little girl. They were patient with our unending and made her feel much better. I appreciate their quick treatment. I would go back here anytime.
Always a great experience when taking MJ in for an exam, one-day stay or grooming. Been taking him since the day we took him home and that was over 11 1/2 years ago. Thank you for taking such good care of my boy for all these years!!
Everyone was so nice, we got a full breakdown of what was needed for our dog and what we could hold off on if need be. I appreciated everyone’s patience with our dog Poppy as she was a little anxious. Highly recommend 10/10!
You guys are the BEST! You gave both my dog and I such excellent attention and medical care. This was my first experience with your late hour urgent care, and it was just as fantastic as your regular hours. Thanks so much!
Every staff interaction has always gone above and beyond. This is true even when we had to deal with the difficult moment of saying goodbye to our family member. We made Center Veterinary our clinic of choice.
A friend of mine recommended Center Veterinary Clinic to me, and I had a very positive experience. Everyone was extremely kind and attentive. I believe my cat received the best possible care and treatment.
I am a fan of Dr. Matthew Bigelow. With the change in ownership it is now behaving like a big corporation. Staff is so keen on up sales they don't pay attention to the customer service they brag about.
Everyone always treats our little pup with the best care, as if he’s theirs. I trust no one other than Center Veterinary Clinic to take care of, and even board and groom our dog. Thank you!
I love the staff! Everyone is so happy to help. I did have an incident with one of the vets regarding raw diet that kind of upset me, but other than that, the experience is always pleasant!
We were very lucky to find this Veterinary Clinic, our Dog had life threatening surgery and they walked us through the process with care. All the Doctors and staff were Amazing.
You guys were wonderful. The level of care and compassion you have shown goes above and beyond especially in a difficult time such as what I'm facing. Thank you for everything.
We recent switched vets from Paradise Vet Hospital down the street to Center Vet Clinic because we adopted a new dog from the pound and they offered a free exam for new pets.
Every single team member has a great caring energy, which makes you feel welcome and comfortable . Thanks to all of them for wonderful care for my Mr. Peanut …
Love the new digs! From the front desk to the Doctors to the technicians to, one of my favorites, Michelle in grooming, the experience is always amazing!
We love Center Vet Clinic. This place is staffed with kind, compassionate, helpful and professional humans who care deeply for pets and their people.
My dog has never been as calm at the vet as she was at this clinic. Staff go the extra mile for the animals and owners. Highly recommend.
The new facility is spacious and very welcoming. The staff is always so friendly and make an appropriate fuss over my pups.
I really love Center Veterinary. Their doctors are exceptional (Dr. Clore!) and their follow up is awesome!
Nice staff and quick service, they took good care of my taz. Thank you all for your wonderful service!
Center Vet has taken care of my dog well. They know him well and my dog is comfortable with the staff.
I usually don't comments review but I had such a bad customer service here with receptions.
All the staff and service are great! My dog always is excited to visit Center Veterinary!
