Currently Central Station is being shut down for a construction project. They will be tearing down the property between the light rail stations to begin building a new tower complex. As of this date 10/26/20 the complex will house a new Metro Office, ASU facility of some type and possibly more apartments plus in the lower street level possibly a food court and retail outlets as I was informed.

It's a nice downtown station with decent bus and rail connections. Minus two stars because some directions on some bus routes don't actually pull into the transfer area and there are WAY too many transient people wondering around bothering you for everything you can imagine. The city needs to do much better keeping this station clean and enforcing no loitering.

Phoenix Central Station, right in the Heart of downtown Phoenix! This City is Great!, But TOO! Many Transients & homeless people, it. Can be Dangerous at night! Even with the Phoenix PD Security there?

It's fine, sure but waay to many people smoking and asking if you can spare some change.

Plenty of time to get to your bus or light rail trains.
