FANTASTIC customer service very reasonable prices excellent quality work with the kind of personal attention only a family run business can give. In my case I needed 4 new tyres at no notice, I rang Graham at 4.30 in the afternoon and he fit me in the next day. I got my car to the shop at 8.40 am and there were already 7 cars there so I didn't think my car would get done anytime soon. I explained to Graham about my budget and for once in my life I had more than I needed, these guys DO NOT rip you off! Since I was working from home the lovely Jenny dropped me back there. My car was done, 4 new tyres, balance and alignment by 10.30, I paid over the phone with my credit card and these lovely people drove my car back to me by 11am. Nobody but nobody can complain about door to door service and this is why I will keep taking my cars back to Centerline I don't think there is anything they don't know about tyres and their mechanic work is top quality too.

I contacted Centreline to organise a service. My car had a flat battery and a puncture, which I thought would just be a hassle to get sorted. Within an hour of my call, two workers from Centreline came to my home, jump started the car and took it in for service. I had a call a couple of hours later from Graham where he went through an estimate of what needed to be done on the car. The call was very welcome and ensured no nasty surprises on pick up. Next day the service was complete, (it turned out I had two punctures, one which was repairable) a repaired tyre, a new tyre, replacement battery and other minor works, plus a 60,000 service all for an extremely reasonable price - much cheaper than services in the past with far less work. Can't praise the service, workmanship and professionalism enough, would highly recommend.

The worst mistake. Stay away from this business. I engaged Centerline Tyre & Auto Service for VIV. The reason I selected them from Vicroads website was because they had earlier appointments available, Google reviews were not too bad either. Initial inquiry over the phone was great. Until they had my money on the appointment day. I lost thousands of dollars in unnecessary checks, and many weeks of despair and anxiety. Dan Hildebrand did every unethical move to fail my car. He will work against you, and NEVER with you. He is bossy, evil and his authoritarian style will not let you feel like a human. This family business lacks leadership and basic common sense. I took my car elsewhere and it the whole process was very straightforward. I can’t wait to see them on current affairs one day soon!

The worst viv ispector ever My car was amazing before he ask for a structure report second time for an area it wasn’t affected from the acciden. and after he saw the report he wanted me to paint the quater panel and after that the car become so ugly after it used to be perfect . He asked me for more than 100 paper and reports and photos Lot of friends they told me don’t go there cz he is more than hard and rough and he ask for lot of papers He act like friendly when u come first time to his place but trust me you will get the hardest time ever . I asked him before i make a booking if you ask for wheel base he said no and when i booked him he said you have to do wheel base and wheel allignment which is $500 I don’t recommend him never

After reading a lot of reviews online, we were quite stressed about the process of getting a VIV inspection. We called multiple places, only to be brushed off by people who didn't want spare 5 minutes of their time. However, we eventually called Centreline and Daniel was more than happy to spend 10 minutes answering my questions and providing me with simple instructions on what I needed to organise. He even offered to take a look at the car prior to the inspection to help us understand the PPSR report. What wonderful friendly service. We couldn't recommend Daniel and the team at Centreline highly enough. Thank you for helping us out and making a stressful process so smooth and easy!

Bad service, I went to do a viv inspection as the VicRoads send me to him, my car was repairable write off because of theft and their is no damage in the car he saw bit scratch on the door and he say the car doesn't pass I have to paint the whole side and not allowed to do a touch up and then he asked me to do a wheel base and I gave him a print wheel alignment but he say to do it again, so I repaint my whole car and I done a wheel alignment again and I spent lot of money for nothing and now the car not in the original colour it looks very bad. I asked some friends about him and everyone told me he do the same thing and the mostly times he ask for vehicle measurements for nothing.

Excellent service and a skilled repair. You can sense the trustworthiness of the business as you enter, and when you speak to the team on the phone. Dan did the tyre repair (I thought I'd need a replacement, but he could repair and he didn't try to unnecessarily upsell) and gave me advice on the most suitable tyres. He was efficient and respectful (especially to a female customer who has experienced several patronising "tradies" in the past!) As I was giving positive feedback to Graham, I established that Graham was the owner and Dan was his son: a great family business with reasonable prices and excellent customer service. Highly recommend Centreline.

I don't write many reviews but I really wanted to write one for Centreline Mechanics in Newport. I have been so impressed by their customer service, workmanship and honesty. They are professional on the phone, in the workshop & office. I had a really loud sound coming from my car each time I drove on uneven roads. As it turns out it was the suspension. Centreline didn't charge me for their analysis of what the problem was and fixing it. They said it was a minor job. Honestly, they could have charged me anything to fix it and I wouldn't have had a clue! So refreshing to trust a mechanic.

In the first instance, I visited to address the annoying noises from my car wheel twice, and Graham checked it both times without charging me. Unfortunately, nothing was found. Last week, I returned for a full service and to address the annoying noise. This time, they not only successfully addressed my routine service but also eliminated the noise from my car wheel. The final bill was very reasonable , and I have no doubt that I'll choose their service again next time. It’s really good choice for car service and machanic. Thank you again Graham ‍♂️ Harry

Heard from a mate that Kmart Auto was terrible (which backed up my own experiences) so I decided to try Centreline since they had left a positive impression on my parents from back when they used to service my grandfathers car. Anyways, price was reasonable and the Graham was quite open, honest and knew what he was doing - No dramas and booked in easily. I was very impressed by the quality of the service, they touched up things that Kmart had ignored. I would recommend them to others and plan to go back when it's time for my next service

I found them to be very polite and helpful ,excellent to have your car worked on there I've chosen them to be my new mechanic. Reasonable prices and nothing seems a problem. They are a lovely husband and wife run business and the wife is so.polite and so very helpful on.the phone as well as in person she's like your known her for years and them and their staff (mechanics) are all very friendly. I found them great. They even drove me home and come to pick me up when my car was finished. That's an excellent benefit they offer.

I took my daughters 'older' Astra with a few problems into Centreline, the main one being a leaking radiator. They guys in there were extremely helpful 'particularly Graham'. They were straight onto it, the repair was done by the next day with the other minor issues rectified (one being a slow tyre leak) without fuss. The efficiency, professionalism and consideration for the car's age & value was exceptional. My daughter is now back on the road pretty promptly and very satisfied. Highly recommended....

My partner’s car has been off the road for over 3 months after a mechanic convinced us to put an insurance claim for an engine replacement but insurance wrote the car off. After further investigation we found there to be no need to replace the engine so purchased the car back to repair through a more reputable and honest mechanic. It’s been an absolute headache and we failed the initial VIV but we were treated kindly with patience and respect by Centreline.

I called at 3.55 pm about a puncture repair, was told to bring my car in right away, got there at 4.05 pm, and was out the door by 4.20 pm. They checked the old tyre, confirmed it could not be repaired, put the new tire on the wheel, checked the balance, attached the tyre, put the spare back in the trunk, and billed me within 15 minutes. They were friendly, fast, efficient, and thorough. The price was lower than I expected too.

Had to go through VIV inspection with them yesterday, and after reading some of the reviews we felt quite anxious and stressed but Dan was very approachable and friendly. We still need to come back for re-inspection as there is still couple of things with our car that needs to be done so Dan took his time and patiently explained every single detail of it to make sure we know what to do.

As a local I didn’t even know Centreline was actually there to be honest and I drive past it at least a few times a week but I was recommended after I was in desperate need of a road worthy and to say I was impressed both with the service but the attitude of the wonderful owner is a understatement. Truly top class service and will 100% go back for more services and tyres.

Excellent & Personal Service. Couldn’t be happier with the repair of my car which included replacement of tyres, repair of brakes and fixing the niggling issue of a broken petrol lever. There was regular communication and I am extremely satisfied. Service was significantly above any other local mechanic I have previously used.

Don't get me started!! No go! You can criticise paperwork which I did make sure was to your satisfaction. It's your customer relation that is deplorable. I had my vehicle fixed by excellent mechanics and panels beaters. However a SCRATCH on the bumper bar was not acceptable. This review is about your bad attitude!
