"Great place to spend the day"
"We've been enjoying this park ever since our child was tiny"
Very noice, not sure about the winter though...(At least for me–I'll give it that it's perhaps more peaceful and that skating exists-which I forgot). Also, the early mornings of the spring & summer aren't always very great depending on where you are in the park and if you don't have headphones...(for beware the grass & ear blazing tractor). On a more brighter note, favorite place for me is where the rocks are upon the hill near the pond–a pretty pleasant place to draw or read a book indeed. Only that sometimes there can be some pretty sad waste left behind of broken alcohol bottles and the such. Alwaysfeelsbadman, but I can't be surprised.
One of the best parks to have grown around. We moved to Ottawa when I was around 8 and I loved the water park in the summer. As I grew up, I remember playing soccer with my friends and having picnics with family. Later on, this park would be the meet-up spot with my friends, we would take the convenient bike paths from house to house. Nowadays, I love jogging around the area, skating during winter, walking my dog in the park, and catching sunsets! It’s a safe park, it is fit for so many activities, and it’s super clean and well-maintained.
An airy and spacious oasis of green space in the city. There is a play structure with sand and a nice splash pad at the west end. There is a ball diamond, soccer pitches, and lots of wide open spaces to fly kites or model airplanes or do other big space things. The central road drain water reservoir attracts ducks and geese. It is not safe to swim there. There is a pretty fountain at the east end, just across the road from the library. Dogs are not allowed off the path through the park, and must be left on leash.
Great place to spend the day. Brought my nieces to play in the splash pad and the park area, and brought the dogs for the nice walk and we all relaxed and had a picnic under the trees. Many nice trails to walk on and even relax near the pond and watch the ducks swim by. The splash pad and park area are large and very fun for kids, definitely the place to go on a hot summer day to cool off. We went on Canada day, there was many families with their kids but it wasnt too over crowded.
We've been enjoying this park ever since our child was tiny. She's grown up climbing the play structures and trees, meeting new friends, and enjoying the large splash-pad all summer long. The washrooms are OK though sometimes not adequately serviced, and the trash cans are often overflowing (careful the wasps!). If the amenities were serviced more frequently it would be far nicer. Overall, a fun place for families, with lovely soccer fields, trails, and a pond with ducks!
This is a beautiful park! I’ve been coming here for a good part of my life and have always loved it. It’s great during all seasons! Great for biking in the warmer months, skating/playing hockey in the winter and whatever other activity you enjoy! There’s a nice splash pad and play area for kids and tons of green space, and a lovely pond with lots of wildlife. There’s also a couple baseball diamonds. This park is clean and beautiful!
Love taking my children to this park. The splash pad is well maintained, no rocks to be stepped on unlike some other splash pads we've been too. The bathrooms are clean. Lots of children always playing and families enjoying picnics. I would give a 5 star rating, but the big slide has been damaged and now missing for some time. Once it returns I would happily give 5 star rating. *** The big slide has returned!!! Horray!!!! ***
I love my local park. It is a great place to meet people and other dog owners .I wish that we had a dog park here so my dog could run free in a secure area. The park has couple of baseball diamonds, playground, skating rink in the winter and a couple of soccer fields. It also has a water park. I wish our local councillor would help to provide us a dog park. This would be amazing!!!
Perfect place for a morning activity. Big area, grass, benches, little lake... you can run around, bring the dog, kids, do your workout, play some soccer or baseball, etc. Nice neighborhood too, that helps, and it is just by the library so you may even get some events going on over there. This place is a symbol of one of the best reasons to live in Ottawa.
Its a fairly large park with cycle path connectivity to the Ottawa Cycle trail network. Has a circular walking path about a km long. There is a lovely pond in the middle with a fountain, and plenty of geese during summers. The park has multiple soccer & baseball grounds as also a play area for kids including water fountains to frolic around. Free parking.
It's a great park in the centre of the city with skating near by and A number of soccer pitches for kids to play on during the summer months. Restaurants and local professional practices occupy many of the buildings lining Centerpointe drive. With accountants, lawyers and other professionals, one is sure to find many services nearby to suit their needs.
I love going here everyday with my best friends (since we live really close to the park) , especially to play soccer or going on the play structure to do fun stuff. Small stores are really nearby this place so whenever we want to eat we just go and get something. Also, I know every corner and space of this park like the back of my hand.
One of my favourite parks in the whole city, it has everything. A decent length walking trail between a niceamount of trees, beautiful pond with geese and other birds, lots of free grass space and hills to climb up and fly kites, soccer and baseball fields, and two kids parks/gyms with summer sprinklers to top it off!
The park is great for dog walkers and walkers a like. There are two play structures at either end of the park for children. The fall is even more beautiful with the changing of the leaves. They have had fireworks Victoria day and New Year eve. Not sure with Covid19 this year. Great family outing any season.
A very nice park for walking and playing. 2 play grounds ( one smaller aimed for toddlers to K) and a larger scale one with a splash pad. A duck pond and 3 different paths east to west. Multiple soccer fields and baseball diamonds. Good sized parking lot. Bathrooms at the larger west side playground
There are many nice bike paths to get around. The park is nice and there are ducks not far away. There's also a nice splash pad. Ample parking and plenty of shade for hot days. Bonus: the washroom is typically open which is nice for longer trips and anyone with little kids. The park is kept clean.
Nice, central area near the former Nepean City Hall. During the las years the park was cut down to build apartments buildings and townhouses. Is bad that the city, instead of keeping green areas accepted this. Still a beautiful park very quiet. Let hope it will not shrink again in the future.
Great park to walk through. Nice little lake and a bit of variation in the topography. (Some hills and bumps as well as some a few nice flat soccer fields and two baseball diamonds. Not lite other than 1 straight line through the park but there are never any groups hanging around at night.
Went there for Ice skating(my second visit to this ODR) , I was impressed by the heated booth area they had for people to put on their skates and all that. The seats were even heated too !! The ice was nice (not sure how to review that part ) and it looked well maintained and proper
This is absolutely a lovely park next to Nepean City Hall. Wonderful walking path. There is a small lake with an island. Lots of ducks come here. a couple of play structures spread out on either end of the park. Definitely peaceful. A wonderful place to visit all year round.
Nice park with a variety of activities for everyone. Play structures, splash pad, baseball fields, pond with wildlife as well as bike paths. I only wish it had several more benches in the main play area as well as a few picnic tables and a gazebo/covered area of some sort.
Well maintained with nice fields and great play structures for the kids. The paths are great for a family bike ride. The pond is a nice place to bring the kids to watch the ducks and the geese but watch out for goose-droppings, it gets pretty bad in the late summer.
Great park! It’s always clean. The washroom are usually pretty good maintenance comes around a couple times of day during 7-3pm to check on them. Park is good and the splash pad is great for the kids! Lots of parking and nice food option across the road!
This park is a blessing for the neighborhood. Seniors, children or adults it has something for everyone. It's huge , lush green and beautiful. It is and should be your go to spot in the mornings and evenings especially if you are living nearby.
Used to be a beautiful park. They built too many houses blocking the view and entrance. They turned the pond into a storm water facility and it is now overgrown and gross! Shame on this city for letting such a nice park go to hell!
Splash pad and playground are great for kids. I have used the washrooms or change rooms and can't comment about those. There is some shade around the playground area, but the actual playground and splash pad are in open sunlight.
Massive park between Centrepointe Drive and the Nepean public library. Soccer field, baseball diamond, pond, play structure and splash pad, tons of greenspace. Very well maintained. Bike paths run along the perimeter of the park.
Nice park for a stroll, to bring your kids or to have a good ole game of Softball... Two nice softball diamonds, a decent sized playground as well as walking paths can all be found here. And to top it off, a nice duck pond!
Perfect for dog walks, bike rides, snowshoeing, playtime with kids on one of the playgrounds or splash pad, yoga, picnics or reading in the grass, bird-watching, softball or soccer. A beautiful neighbourhood park.
Awesome park for playing sports or any recreational activities. This park is always well maintained and has numerous sports fields and a playstructure for children. In the winter it has an ice skating rink.
Nice place to walk your leashed dog along the designated path. It has washrooms available, a playground, soccer fields, baseball diamond, benches along the pathways, and also an ice rink during the winter.
A perfect place to enjoy the Sun rise. Benches are placed near the "duck pond". Bird watchers will enjoy the ducks, hear and other birds (gold finches, Eastern King bird, red wing black birds, Cardinal).
Good sized playground and the splash pad is right next to it. Good amount of parking very close as well. A few soccer pitches on the other side of the parking lot to run on if they aren't being used.
Amazing outdoor exercise walking trails, baseball diamonds, ponds & soccer fields. The water feature at the beginning of the park is absolutely amazing and the pond has ducks so bring lots of bread
Good fields, some are a bit slanted though. Large fences behind the nets so the ball won't go over. Bit of a walk to get to the farthest field. Lots of shade, 2 playgrounds and a splash pad.
It's a really nice park to walk in. However, if it's peace and quiet you're after, I would recommend visiting after dark. It gets a lot of daytime use; especially during the summer months.
Very nice grounds for a tournament. Washrooms on sight but very basic and in need of an upgrade. Not a lot of parking on sight but added parking on the street and close by.
This summer(2017 )the city replaced the pathways and play station for kids . It's an awesome park for soccer, base(soft)ball, walking, jogging and watching the pond life.
This park is perfect for all ages, has a great splash pad & playground, a huge soccer field, nice trail for hiking & biking, small pond and amazing scenery along the way
Its a nice park, what else is there to say? Theres a splash pad, big play structure, near a library, 4-5 soccer fields, 2 baseball diamonds and a small park in the back.
Nice park. Good for a walk around with the dog. Some spots little bit of care as the melt and ice. Playground the retaining wall is leaning bad so care with kids taken.
Nice local park with multiple ball diamonds and soccer fields. Playground with faculties on one end with parking. Rink goes up in Winter, great running paths in summer.
Great park with wide open spaces, a splashpad, 2 playgrounds, baseball, soccer fields, and a hockey rink in the winter. Plenty of parking on the west side of the park.
Lovely park. Well maintained. Climber appropriate for young and elementary age kids. Splash pad has good variety. Lots of shade and grass areas. Good parking.
Lovely place. friendly people, got a lot of smiles and hello's as I walked hand in hand with my bf. good place for children as well. overall beautiful park.
Great spot for toddlers to play, nice splash pad, soccer fields and walking trails. No need to pack a lunch or dinner--great takeout spots across the road!
I play soccer here on Saturday mornings. My kids love the water features. They climb the trees. There are also public washrooms. Great place to frequent.
A very nice and well maintained park. Only drawback is a very small parking lot. Ok for normal days but you'll need a lot of luck on tournament days.
A lovely park to walk around. Quiet, clean and respectful people who say hello as you pass by. Cleared in the winter so you can walk all year
Great place for a urban walk. Lots of green space to run with the little ones. Two playgrounds, washrooms, and lots of soccer fields.
Great walking paths, many soccer and baseball fields and fabulous splashpad and play area for the kids. Something good for everyone
My son and my friends son had a great time playing in the splash pad. The park itself wasn't open yet but looks like a great place
Nice neighbourhood park with kids play area, slash pad, soccer fields and parking. Also has a bike path running through the area.
During fall, winter, spring, summer this little park delivers beautiful colours, sights, space for everyone in all walks of life.
Beautiful clean park with a splash pad . There was an event with free ice cream for the kids ! They really enjoyed themselves !
Great place to walk at lunch. Good playgrounds, splashpad, soccer and baseball fields. Plus lots of room for kids to just run!
A surprisingly large series of soccer fields, fall diamond, and splash pad, there’s lots going on at Centerpointe Park.
Great local park. Water feature for the kids and lots of space for dogs. Just don't forget to pick up after them.
Nice park to relax, the small pond in its center is a great ecosystem with different plants and birds species.
Big playground with sand. Swings. Great walking area with pond. Benches around. Shaded areas. Soccer field.
Wonderful park. Spacious and very clean. Great area for toddlers learning how to walk. Highly recommend it.
Great park for a walk or just to relax. Also a splash pad and play structure for the kids. Lots of parking.
We bring the kids here fairly often, it is one of their favourite parks. Well laid out with a splash pad.
Nice park splash pad and lots of parking. Washrooms a bit sketchy but better than an a portable potty.
My favourite park in Ottawa, nice play ground / splash pad for kids and a peaceful trail to walk on
Large suburban park. Lots of sports fields, a couple of play structures and a splash pad. Have fun!
Lots of space to hang out, go for a walk, and play sports. Playground and splash pad for kids too.
Great large park with good places for the kids to play. It also has a splash pad for the summer.
It is a really nice, big park. However, we were there to play soccer but the grass was too long.
Lovely community. Fred penner and many wonderful artists, lots of kids activities... Great day.

Huge fields, football ground has an amazing view of the park and greenery around.
