First very affordable pricing, I expected to pay a lot more than I we did. Second screen quality and the sound was what I expected to (a bit too loud ), when seeing movies like Top Gun, Durassic Parc you want good sound, seats were very dirty need some major cleaning. Third great location not far oyster Bay where we where staying Loss of 2 ⭐ for not respecting the age PG rating for such movies and allowing children 2 to 5 for such movies with them screaming mong scared running around, we moved several times but they just kept coming, bad experienced and ruined the movie experience. We went 2 days in a row, people have to réalise their not in the living room so brave yourself . Over all rating, not their fault people talk maybe an educational clip in the previews prior informing people how to behave.

My family and I wanted to watch the newest Spider-Man movie. We checked the website and it was to play at 4:00. We arrived at 3:50 to buy tickets. The lady at the counter told us they might not play it and to get back to her in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later she said they are playing it and to wait for 20 more minutes so they could clean the theater. Note it was super hot and the popcorn tasted like rubber. After 40 minutes of waiting in the heat with my children asking how much more time, I got up and asked the lady. She rudely said that they were not playing it was there projected was broken. Now I understand they had technical difficulties for this movie but they could have addressed it i us or put it on there website as we wasted are time there. Not worth the trip hopefully Aura is better tommorow.

Cinema is nice with ample parking. Being on main road it is easily accessible. 3D quality is average and would prefer 2D. With two counters for pop corns and drinks it is relatively quick to grab snack on short notice. I have never tried but wash room cleanliness varies and usually found to be moderately clean. Tickets on thursdays are usually half price (tzs5000) but for some reason if its a public holiday dull price is charged. Previously on wednesday a free soda comes with the ticket but not sure if they still continue with this (been few months i last went on wednesday). Afternoon and working day shows are less crowded and at time can find only few people in the hall. Staff is nice and supportive.

Worst theater is the dfm one. Booked tickets for the nun 7:45pm show. There till 8:30 they keep pushing 10 mins 10 mins saying they have electrical issues and everyones getting mad. Finally lights are back we are in the theater another 15 mins nothings happening. Coming out only to see the power is an issue again. Thankfully they refunded immediately so thumbs up for that, but if you see your issue is going to be for long. Atleast just inform the clients to come back another day or offer an apology. Don't keep them for 1 to 2 hrs and then just to send them back.. thats sad

An expansion to show Century Cinemax grip on the local market. A monopoly but still very competitive and aggressive. The cinema is pretty standard with 2D and 3D options, supported with great surround sound and spacious seating. The location of the cinema in Oysterbay gives it access to the Msasani Peninsula catchment and Upanga, both of which are high end markets. Expect a mixed crowd here. Only negative is the insufficient parking at Dar Free Market, which hosts the cinema.

Is a good cineplex to go to in Dar town. Usually easy to get tickets for day time shows. ticket prices vary from 8,000- 15,000 tsh and newly released shows are available. If planning to buy 3D show, then you will have to buy 3D glasses. Has popcorn and drinks being sold on the side near the entrance. Seats are ok. In a good location and easy to find. Got parking space but sometimes it can be difficult to get empty space if the show is popular.

Nice Cinema. Cozy seats. Great sound their big problems is one thing and other cinemas when it start post credits the lights are on and cleaners are start coming in to collect empty popcorn papers and bottles this is so annoying for others we like to to watch until the end of post credits like Marvel Movies & DC movies. I suggest they should adjust time so you can watch all full movie including post credits in details in full.

1. 도착했더니 정전이 되어서 전기 제너레이터 작동까지 기다려야 했다. 이것까지는 흔한 일이기 때문에 이해할 수 있었다. 2. 티켓 구매 시에 11,000 이라고 안내 받았는데(티켓값에 3d 안경 값), 2만실링 내고 너무 당연하게 8천 실링만 거슬러 주더니 제대로된 설명이 없었다. 물어 보니 잔돈이 없었다고 한다. 3. 영화보다가 갑자기 정전되어서 한 3분가량 기다려야했다. 4. 너무, 너무, 너무, 지나치게 더웠다. 영화관이 아니라 영화가 나오는 사우나 같았다. 5. 하지만 내부는 생각보다 깨끗했고, 화면도 선명하고 좋았다. 전기와 에어컨 문제가 해결된다면 좋을 것 같다. 6. 화장실이 매우 비위생적인 환경이니 다른 곳에서 미리 사용하고 가는 것을 추천한다.

They offer the latest movies for all ages and they also have food stalls with varieties of drinks, candies and of course one cannot watch a movie without popcorn, they even have caramel popcorn for those with a sweet tooth like me . They have a waiting area and the staff are willing to assist should you get lost or don't know which room is your movie showing.

One of the best Movie theaters in town. You can call and book your ticket in advance, be sure to arrive half an hour before movie starts to grab your ticket. The options for snacks is also good boasting pop corn, ice cream and Indian cuisine!! Parking is available too but be sure to come by early for hot movie debut

Good location, crappy building.. horror parking, and no matter what..DO NOT LOOK UNDER THE SEAT OR AT THE FLOOR in the theatre. Otherwise, decent quality cinema experience. Poor food and drinks selection.. best sneak in your own goodies for better experience until the management someday REALIZE how bad it is.

Most of the showing movies are interesting and well picked. Though sometimes the 3D movies are not as clear as expected.. maybe it is the screen or the 3D glasses. The toilets are not always clean and sometimes there is no soap or water! However, it is an accessible movie theatre for Kinondoni residents.

The most famous movie place in Tanzania. Well location location location. The service are not that great anymore. The movie can be blurry for over 15mins for the technican to fix. Sometimes they might just decide " We don't have caramel popcorn" Great that they are selling booze now days. Lol

We don't have big movie theaters in Zanzibar, so when we're in Dar, we come here to get our fill of Hollywood Blockbuster films. Comfortable seats, good eats in the area. And you can go shopping too! If you have 3D glasses and will watch a 3d movie, don't forget to bring them with you.

Don’t make the mistake of coming here on a weekday or you might find yourself in an empty theatre waiting for a movie that isn’t being played yet or waiting for them to actually start rolling half an hour later like I did, seriously just save your 10k and watch it at home

Good movies (latest Hollywood releases) and comfortable seats /large screens. Slightly less crowded than the theater at mlimani city. However, they don't always update the online showtimes to reflect actual screenings.... It's an easy fix, so hope they'll work on it soon

In dar century cinemax dominate movie show industry. Its located near Kenya commission. They have 5 theatres. Every new movie which is in international standard. They are good in bring latest movie premier. Its a good place for family outing. PG rating are advised.

Very good place to enjoy a movie. The sound and video quality is good. Prices are extremely reasonable. Make sure to ask where they play the movie, the posters at the entrances are not what is shown inside ;-) Only the trailers were much too load.

its within the dar free market building, easy to reach place. the cinema is nice and clean, it has variety of snacks you can eat while waiting for a movie and the ones you can eat while watching a movie... you can book and buy tickets online.

Sometimes people bring their toddlers or babies to the movies who will not stay still or cry or make noise....it get rather annoying. Other than that the overall experience is great. Oh and they should bring back the caramel popcorn...

Everything was good except their toilets. Someone needs to clean the toilets and at least have running water there. Thats a hygiene disaster. We could not use them since they were all filthy and the smell was really terrible!

Decent mall, has way too many vendors and can sometimes feel clustered, movie theatre is good but a lack of variety in the concession stand. The movie projectors can sometimes feel blurry and uncentered but not very often.

Went to screen 4 I believe, for the viewing of Despicable Me 3. The seats were very spacious and luxurious but the sitting was awkward, woe to u if someone tall sat in front of u. It was cozy and not cold (thank God!)

Had a lovely time with my siblings here. Howevr at some point they switched off the a.c which we felt wasn't fair. Also, I'd recommend, them to have a way of announcing the commencement of movie, 5 mins prior.

Is a very good place. But I think they should reduce advertisements. If the movie is supposed to show at 7:45 at least until 8:00 it should start there is a looooooooot of ads its kind of boring

Best going there on Mondays and Thursday since the tickets are half the price. Downfall, you should expect tonnes of people especially around peaky hours (7-10). Every friday new movie arrives.

This is one of the best cinemas Dar es Salaam has to offer. It's conveniently located especially if you are trying to catch a move after work and/or around rush hour. Has adequate parking.
