Some great places to eat and shop. But cleanliness is a problem. Overflowing trash receptacles ( baskets) on the streets, garbage overflowing from dumpsters, rats running in and out of some restaurants in the alleys. Produce from restaurants sitting on the bare ground in the alleys next to restaurant doors. It is very hard to find paid parking forget about free parking. But the biggest problem is the lack of public restrooms. If you are sitting down and eating in a place they will usually let you use the restroom. But if you're getting take-out, picking up an order, or just walk in off the street you will not be allowed to use most restrooms. I saw a goat delivered out of the trunk of a car to a certain restaurant...I lost my appetite. On another day I saw some restaurant kitchen workers sitting outside in the alley on the ground cross legged cutting up meat on a wood block that was on the gross dirty ground also. There needs to be some surprise inspections.
Like many CTA elevated train stations, it is a bit unkept and dirty. However, the platform and the train provides some nice views of the Chinatown area of Chicago. Even if you are not going to ride a train, it may be worth a ticket just to stand on the platform. With that being said, there was a lot of news reports on local Chicago stations about Chicago and CTA crime at the time of my trip so you may want to be cautious and it may not be a good place for kids. I will leave it to you and your discernment and discussion with officials to make the best choice for you and your family.
ENJOYED MY TIME THERE TAKING IN THE SCENERY AND SHOPPING AT THE VARIOUS STORES. IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO BRING YOUR FAMILY. THERE ARE VARIOUS RESTAURANTS AND STORES THAT HAVE NUMEROUS ITEMS FOR KIDS AND ADULTS. LEE WING WAH IS A GREAT RESTAURANT TO GO TO. THE STAFF THERE ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND THE FOOD WAS GOOD. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.
Chinatown is a great place to spend a good day at. There are many great restaurants along with shops to buy cool souvenirs, popular asian candy, and anime merchandise. Of course, let's not forget the cool dessert cafes! It's really cool to see more businesses open up around chinatown.
If you take the red line from the city (eg Lake station), board at the front carriage so that when you exit from the train at the destination, you will be closest to the elevator (smelled disinfected; a real welcome) or escalator to Cermak direction.
From a European's point of view, this is an interesting place to visit for shaved ultra-cold ice cream, usual (and unusual) pan-Asian groceries and medicines, souvenirs, bubble tea, or just people-watch.
Accessible station with an elevator. Outdoor, but felt safe as there were always police officers walking around the few days I was there. The view of Chinatown from the station isn’t bad either.
A place for you to find Chinese food, Hong Kong food and Asian supermarkets. I will say you must try the Dim Sum over here and do not forget to take a cup of bubble milk black with you!
Es demasiado sucio el transporte en el tren, las escaleras y casi todo el lugar, no funciona el elevador no hay asistencia para discapacitados
Chinatown is a must visit in Chicago. Plenty of restaurants to choose from as well as gift shops. Before you leave take a boba tea to go

Plenty or opportunities for food and shopping at China Town, but the subway car could of been a bit cleaner on the inside.
2nd. time here and it was ok. If you like Chinese culture and their food, this place it's perfect.
The train station has three entrances & exits to make it convenient for entering & leaving.
Hay muchas opciones de restaurantes, tiendas y pastelerías, los postres son deliciosos.
durante invierno las paradas expuestas como esta de metro suelen ser muy inhumanas
No matter how many times we visit Chinatown... it's awesome! Fun for everyone.
