Recently had a mishap with our car which ended up in a overheating situation. I was looking around for a shop to bring the cylinder head to for inspection and work if it was going to be feasible. I had taken my head to another "reputable" shop and after 3 days I picked it up with no work done and leaving like they didn't want to do the work which was frustrating. I reached out to Cetus and they gave me a quick quote of which I was good with to have the work done and a few days later was talking with Carl at the desk explaining my situation and telling him my details and he was taking notes and writing everything down. Afterwards he told me it would be a few days for them to get the work done but they would follow up with me. After a few days passed Carl called me on a Saturday with an update of what was going on and I was a bit surprised as this company is not open on Saturday and Carl explained to me he was doing some catch up work and I let him I know that I greatly appreciated this and it showed good customer service. Unfortunately the head I originally took to Cetus was junk and I had to grab another from the junkyard which they worked over and said it would be good to run and did all the work necessary. I was unable to pick up the two cylinder heads so my girlfriend showed up at the location and their customer service showed once again because they brought them out for her to the car and helped load them up. I have only been here once but the customer service was top notch and is to a level many other companies are not. If you need machining work done definitely talk to these guys.

Been bringing our vehicles (3 trucks) here for a few years. Everytime it's been the same story, significantly more expensive than quoted and the vehicle always has to go in a 2nd time from not being put together properly after the repair. Last time I picked up my truck I got halfway home and the coolant line popped off and I lost 4-5liters of coolant and was stuck on the side of the road. Brought the truck in twice for to get heater core fixed. Lastly, I picked up my truck today and went to leave the parking lot to find I had no brakes! The lines were not bled properly. Was told "oh no problem we'll handle it". In my opinion this is a pretty big deal and not just to shrug off as an oops. Their mechanic took off in the truck, came back and said oh it's because your brake pads and rotors are worn out. they may be worn, but my brake pedal didn't hit the floor before I brought the truck in. I paid a lot of money to Cetus Automotive yet I'll be under the truck this evening bleeding the brakes myself. Thanks guys! I've lost all confidence in this shop. I really wanted to work with them and do business as the front staff are friendly and easy to talk to but these experiences have been awful. I cannot say I've ever been happy with the services or that they have made an effort to rectify the situation. #Update In addition to bleeding my brakes, the lug nuts were all loose! So disappointed with you guys

It’s hard to find good, honest, and reliable mechanics and automotive shops. My coolant had been leaking and I was told it was a few different things by a few different mechanics/technicians. I would get my coolant topped up every five or so days because whoever topped it up last seemed to put a very minimal amount in. When I went for my consultation and diagnosis appointment, they were prompt, professional, and overall great! They’d ordered the parts that same day and topped up the coolant until the parts came in and they could fix it. It was two weeks between the day the parts were ordered and the time I could come in to get it worked on, and I didn’t need to top up the coolant at all within that time. I appreciated that a ton! They were also incredibly accommodating, as my schedule isn’t the easiest to work with and I had to reschedule at some point. When I went in to get the work done, it was done very efficiently! Overall, I would definitely come in with any concerns regarding a vehicle. Thank you guys for being so easy to work with! Bonus points for the puppers who is occasionally around who comes by for some pets!

I don't really believe in giving 5 stars, there is always room for improvement, Cetus has been great! I didn't feel that 4 stars gave them enough credit, so 5 it is. We discovered them when my wife's 2002 PT blew a head gasket. Everywhere else we called wouldn't do the job. As they got into the job it turned into a nightmare, needing a new head and cams needed to be machined . . . these parts are not available new. They searched their extensive network and found us a head in good shape and got it shipped. In the end it was a bigger job than we expected but they did everything they could to help us save where they could. They took the time to explain every detail along the way so we understood the work that was being done. My wife loves her car and we are happy to have it back. I now take my care here, even though it is out of the way for me. There is something to be said about feeling comfortable with your mechanic. AND it doesn't hurt to get a chance to hold a baby joey once in a while. Thanks, hopefully I see you a little less this year ;-) or at least just for reg maintenance

I brought my cylinder head in to have the valves replaced.seals replaced and valve guides replaced. My son picked it up and when he brought it home I noticed valve guides were not installed.. a few days later I brought it back and asked them why they didn’t replace valve guides and guy at front desk told me the valve guides were within manufacturing specifications. I brought new ones to Cetus …. They charged me full invoice to do 75% of the job. My Mechanic was on holidays and told me Cetus was good. Why couldn’t they just replace valve guides like I asked they had them as they had new seals and new valves Not happy with that decision… also a phone call would’ve been nice to tell me that the valve guides were in specification of manufacturer and I would have told them to please just install them. So now I have to wait till my mechanic get back from holidays august 20th. 2023. I can’t put cylinder head back on knowing that valve guides aren’t new.

I got quotes for getting my tires replaced, and everywhere had a 1 or 2 week wait period to get the tires in. Not Cetus Automotive. I called in to get a quote, they said we could have the tires here as early as the next day. We set up an appointment for me to bring in my truck, and they were accommodating, and made me feel like a valued customer. The service was fast, and they honored the quoted price. Every time I have taken a vehicle into a shop, they always end up charging me more than they quoted me. Cetus let me know of somethings I should get taken care of in the near future. Instead of doing it and charging me for it after, they gave me a quote instead, and honored their original agreement. Will I have them take care of the issues they found? Absolutely! I highly recommend Cetus Automotive to anyone who is looking for a fair priced, honest job well done, mechanic shop. Thank you Cetus Automotive!! 5 Stars!

From start to finish I was nothing but impressed with their timeliness, attitude and customer service. In a world where good customer service can be hard to come by, the team at Cetus knocked it out of the park! I was given clear information about the shape of the engine blocks I was having machined, what would need to be done to get the blocks back into usable shape and for a reasonable price compared to other quotes I had gotten. Even though neither of the blocks ended up being usable, they were very professional, polite and willing to help me out. I highly recommend Cetus for any work one may need to be done to all of my friends and they will definitely be getting both mine and my friends business for future projects. Keep up the good work!

This two star review is for this place charging an ungodly amount. Everyone we interacted with was very pleasant and they got our car done in a timely manner. However, it seems they are just able to charge whatever they feel like for parts and labor??? The breakdown of charges is insane. They removed the fresh water tank in my camper-van and then put it back once the work was done and we were charged $600 for that. They claimed it took 4 hours and that’s where the cost came from. How does it take a highly skilled mechanic 2 hours to remove a tank and 2 more to put the empty tank back up? I am grateful for the work they did but just feels like an example of auto shops totally taking advantage of new customers. Super unethical.

Had issues with my truck, called my mechanic and it was going to be at least a week before they could look at it. So I gave them a call. They said they could get me in the same afternoon. I dropped off the truck right away and got a call from Tammy letting me know that they were able to fix the problems. There was just a couple parts that need to come in and they would have it back to me by the next day. The next day came along and at 11 AM they called me saying the truck was completed. from the time I dropped off the truck picked it up was 25 hours. Typically I’m waiting at least 3 to 7 days. Super honest people. They even have pretty cool wallabies to hang out with.

I’ve never wrote a bad review before, but this place was the worst service I’ve ever gotten. After picking my truck up from alignment and steering rods, it was shaking more than when I dropped it off. Also making a new sound on the passenger wheel when I called and asked if they could looked they told me I had to wait a week. The sound got it worse and I asked him again if I could bring it in they told me not till Tuesday anyways I ended up broken down on the side of the road and when taken back in, they tried to charge me more for repairs. I also got a quote from a dealership and it was half the price. Definitely get two quotes if you’re going here.

I thought that I left a review last year, but I totally forgot. I had an amazing experience with Cetus(admittedly, my first ever automotive amazing experience). My power steering pump went on my BMW and I was referred to Cetus by my neighbor, so I called them up to get a quote. They called me the next day with a quote and I agreed to the price and brought my vehicle to get repaired. When they were finished I went to pickup my vehicle and was told it was less than what they quoted me. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised by the efficient way they fix my vehicle. I will definitely used their services in the future!

I recently had some unfortunate issues on my 2018 Ford Escape that ended up costing a lot of money. My car was taken to Cetus, although repairs and maintenance were expensive, staff was very pleasant to deal with, especially Tammy who walked me through the process and made the experience somehow enjoyable! Shortly after picking up the vehicle the engine light came back on, thankfully I was still close by and could get the vehicle checked again, turns out a cable wasn't plugged in all the way. Overall great experience.

These guys know what they’re doing for sure. Extremely courteous, pricing estimates, cleaning and tearing down the assembly’s, and especially keeping you up to speed on the progress of the work. Carl and his team are second to none in their environment. I would truly recommend these guys to anyone with any machining that has to be done. I know for a fact ,this is my go to place for info, estimates or any machining needed done myself. Thanks guys for your help and I’ll see you in the future if the situation arises.

The whole experience of taking my car to Cetus was outstanding. Friendly people and a great, fast service. I needed a tire swap, oil change, and out of province inspection and they helped me schedule it and get all the work done quickly and thoroughly. They found ways to save me money rather than finding ways to gouge me, which has been my experience in the past with autoshops, and that really helped establish trust. Will definitely go back and would recommend them to anyone.

I had a very difficult problem that 2 different mechanics were not able to solve. Cetus was happy to fit my vehicle in and sympathized with my frustration. Within hours they had solved the mystery and recommended a solution. They were able to find the part, fix the vehicle and have N.E. on the road that same day. It was amazing! Further, their rate for fixing the problem was completely reasonable. I highly recommend putting your trust in their services. I am so glad I did.

Took it into the shop and at each step of the process kept me completely informed, told me what they needed to do, the price and if it was okay to proceed. I brought in my car for out of province safety inspection and i appreciated the thorough inspection performed . It took a good. 2 hours wait and it meant a lot that their mechanics checked on everything to ensure that my vehicle was road worthy and compliant with standards. We go to Cetus all the time for all our auto mechanic needs. They're always so friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this shop to all my friends and family, and I do! We've brought business to them from others because they're honest, kind, flexible, and always do a great job. They've been taking care of our cars for many years now and we won't go to another shop.

The folks at Cetus Auto are very good and very friendly. I have a 2008 F-150, Cetus replaced the Timing chain & Sprockets, did a Cam phaser lockout and replaced all spark plugs. They explained everything, fixed my truck very quickly and at a decent price. I would definitely have Cetus do work for me again. I would recommend Cetus to anyone.

Did a trailer commercial inspection. Good customer service up front. Able to handle it on short timeline, but had to pay for it. They forgot to give us the sticker at the end, so had to go back, but were very apologetic and don’t think it was a common mistake.

Cetus has always been good to me. They have done many stuff for me over the years, from basic oil change to wheel alignment repair. And its always been done properly the first time around. I have no problem commenting them to family, friends and co workers.

Carl was paying attention when I told him about my camper van issues. Told them my wheel bearing was making weird noises and they did some maintenance on it. Everything looks fine now and was able to drive back home to Montreal.
