Such a pleasure to have been welcomed at Rabi Avremi and his lovely wife for Shabbat while on a roadtrip. They are phenomenal hosts and you can feel compassion and understanding emulating from their very home- the kinds of people that make you proud to be Jewish. I’ve felt isolated from Judaism throughout my life- as though I’m an embarrassment or misfit of my own faith. I actually didn’t realize this until after leaving their home and thinking “why can’t all of Judaism be as accepting and non judgmental as these lovely people make it out to be?” They didn’t belittle me or make me feel strange. They treated us with utmost respect. Wishing them tremendous abundance and peace, and we hope to see them again, soon.
I was initially drawn to the Chabad Centre, as the rabbi assured me that all Jews were welcome. However, I advise caution for LGBTQ individuals, as you may find yourself misled, talked about, and excluded. The stifling atmosphere and a conveyor belt-like process seem designed to indoctrinate you with feel-good ideas, often attracting Israelis seeking Hebrew speakers. Though the globalization and Yiddish expressions might feel comforting, genuine connections and open-mindedness are better found in Reform and Conservative communities. Don't be deceived by the free meals and false sense of familiarity.
I am a Noahide and my wife and children are noahides. I called to see if they were open to have us as part of their congregation and had only asked if they had youth activities that my kids would be welcome to join. I was told no and was hung up on. Didn't even get to the rest. We are a torah loving family and there aren't any other orthodox jewish establishments that I know of other than park city. I'm afraid to call there now and face that rejection also since I'm sure they are tightly linked. We just want a community.
Rabbi and Rebbetsin are warm and welcoming. I really really miss our get together times. It just doesn't make sense that our small synagogue can't get together when any other event in the city -like grocery shopping- has way more people and less distancing than we would have in our large building during any event. …
Chabad is just absolutely AWESOME a place where Judaism is alive and real not just something that belongs in a museum and not somewhere where you change what you want based on convenience and at the same time they welcome everyone and exept you for who you are and don't judge anyone
I have been homeless for years. The Chabad refuses to help. I sleep outside and they don't care. They seem to delight in my chronic starvation. This is my fifth winter completely unsheltered. I can attest to the fact that Chaim Zippel is an evil person.
- [ ] We withdrew our son after racial discrimination, abysmal communication, and the school’s inability to manage age and developmentally appropriate behaviors. The leadership did a great job of acknowledging their shortcomings without
The most amazing Jewish summer camp in Utah. We came from out of state to join and my son loves it. Great vibe, excellent staff and a really dedicated and capable director. Rabbi Avremi is a hands on director who knows what he is doing.
Thanks for being here. I realize it isn't easy to go out in to different communities and provide everything from prayers to torah study to kosher food . Please continue being a light unto the nations and inspiring others. Shalom
There is no place with kosher food in the area even though there is a large kitchen in Beit Chabad they did not give me the option to prepare something small for myself, I had to go look for kosher products in a local store
I love this place. Literally all the Rabbis there are dedicated and doing amazing job helping the jewish community and to the community as whole. Wish it will keep growing …
Very welcoming Synagogue, Rabbi Avremi and his father Rabbi Benny are both very nice and welcoming, no matter your background you are made to feel at home here.
I know first hand how dedicated the Rabbis and Rebbetzins are to the local community, and to youth at risk. They really care, and make you feel at home.
Awesome Rabbi and Rebitzen , very welcoming and warm , thoroughly enjoyed our time in Salt Lake in no small part thanks to Chabad and it’s staff.
