I was in your chadwell heath branch (Tudor Parade High Road, Chadwell Heath, RM6 6PS) to post one of my letter for first-class recorded delivery. i had my postage label printed in piece of paper, so i thought i will stick it on the counter. It was around 3 pm. After waiting 20-25 mins in the queue. I was told that they do not provide any glue or celotape which I accepted and said that I will quickly write it down so that it could be posted. However the manager (Lady With a Glass) came out of said that I do this on PURPOSE and am holding up the queue for the other people and that I shouldn't do this. Then in a rude manner once it was done she said that "Next time make sure it is all done before you come here other wise you wouldn't be served" I had said nothing about this the whole time, due to being stunned and disappointed at the lack of customer service provided and how terrible it was to have aimed at me over nothing. I was in complete shock and shared it with my colleague, who suggested me to make a formal complain. It took me a few seconds to write down the information yet I was holding up the "Queue" after waiting all that time previously. As I left the post office even another customer who was in the Queue commented that the lady was rude in the way she acted and spoke towards me.

Today I went to post a DWP packet in this post office and was told by one of the women everyone here is complaining about that she could not post it signed for / recorded or give me proof of posting as it was a FREEPOST address. Her reason was because there was no postcode. I have posted freepost letters before with no problems over the years. She told me she could only sell me stamps to post the packet and was willing to accept money for this but again could not provide proof that I had posted the packet with these stamps. I didn't post here as I doubted what she says - this post office is also notorious for charging what they like. I tried this post office as I was in the area but took my parcel back to my local post office where I was able to send my confidential documents signed for with a tracking number and of course, proof that it's been posted. If you live in the area I would recommend using the sorting office further down - honest, helpful, won't lose your parcels or overcharge you. Why she denied a signed for service is beyond me. How this post office operates is beyond me.

The manager and her 2 other regular staff lat this post office are sickening. They don’t know how to speak to customers and they are so rude and full of bad attitude. Honestly, someone needs to get this staff changed or close this post office down. I went in for cash deposits 2 times and the third time she screamed at me and said I am not serving you again, despite me standing in the queue for 10 minutes straight. Every time I go in, the other two staff members tell me they can’t service me because their manager is not there??! Whatt! Why are u working if u can’t perform certain tasks this is appalling. They need to hire people who can perform all the tasks and give better customer service than them. I have never spoken to them in a bad tone of voice nor have I ever given them bad attitude. And whenever they see me they start talking in their language which is utterly unacceptable and disrespectful. Yet they have the worst customer I’ve ever experienced. I am really hoping whoever hired them see this and replace them.

this is the worst post office in Chadwell Heath, the service here is so poor and really really bad. It will never improve, it is always too busy because the two ladies at the counter are so rude and not very nice when they talk to the customers. they work so slow at their job. they look fed up and bored. the two ladies at the counter are so rude. the rude lady who works at the transfer money counter was on her phone, I was waiting in the queue with my sister but she served the other girl but not me and my sister, the rude lady went somewhere else and disappeared for a long time. only one counter was available, we just wanted to refund two packages. the other lady at the counter is no better, so very rude and has a horrible attitude on her. not very helpful and not a very nice lady either. This post office needs to be investigated or it should close down and the two ladies that work at the counter should be sacked. This post office has gone downhill, it was good before but not anymore.

The customer service guy in the shop was super rude, he have no clue how to speak to customer. The lady at front of said can I have first class stump, thy was don't you see we aren't post office it's shop post. I said to him you don't need to be rude, just say we don't sell stumps here in this till come back tomorrow when post office is open. He was don't teach how shall I do my job. I said to be honest I am super busy and I don't have time to teach you anything but as human we need to deal in minors. The lady she drop all her shopping, I left my shopping, and there were two other customers thy left their shopping. I always believe we should support local businesses but when I see this kind of customer service I don't feel enter to this shop again. I don't like to do my shopping in Tesco but I feel like at least I can get some kind of human respect from the customer service. The owner really need to think about the till guy otherwise soon the shop will be down.

Dear Postal Service, I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at your post office, which is located in Chadwell Heath on 06/26/2023. I tried to pay for the special delivery with a handful of pennies, but I was told by Mrs. VARSHA PATEL that she would not accept them as payment. I was shocked and disappointed by this policy. Since when do post offices not accept pennies as a form of payment? Isn't that the currency of England? As a customer, I expect to be able to use any legal tender to pay for my services. It's not my fault that I didn't have bigger bills on hand. I was willing to pay for the service and the pennies had to be accepted. I hope that you will reconsider your policy regarding accepting pennies as payment for postal services. It is unfair to punish customers who do not have access to a currency of a larger denomination. They are money grabbers! I went there to send a parcel that was going abroad. The lady serving me (the manager) told me that because the parcel is over 2kg the postage charge is £65. She didn't ask any additional questions about the item other than what was inside the packaging. Nor did she give me other courier options that were cheaper. I was skeptical, so I decided to go to the next closest branch just to be sure. To my surprise they offered me lower rates to send the item and were very transparent with what the options were for me. Asking questions that this branch didn't. Customers should not have to question the honesty of your staff! Not providing information to customers for your own financial gain is unethical and unprofessional. Customers beware of costs they provide you, I suggest making your own calculations before coming to the branch. Or request that the costs are shown to you from their computer.

Unbelievably appalling, disrespectful, rude and unprofessional attitude from this HORRIBLE HORRIBLE woman with specs. It's not the first time she was rude to me and every time i decided to ignore her. but after today it is time i say what i think. That little post office consist of very bad trained staff anyway, nobody in there shows any professionalism or will to work. they are there to help and provide service and they all act as if we owe them something and they are there for punishment. That Gujarati woman in particular. What a nasty attitude to have. How dare she speak to people the way she does. after queuing for ages do i really have to put up with her? No customer skills, no interest in helping people, just belittles everybody and refuses to help.I am running out of words to describe this awful person. I will be complaining further and i will report it wherever i have to as this is unacceptable!!

Very rude lady who answered the phone. I called the post office to ask a question about a post before coming into the store. Whoever picked up the phone was extremely rude did not even give me a chance to speak to even say hello, immediately shouted What do you want! Literally shouting and then hanged up the phone. I called a second time to when a different lady picked up the phone to answer my query. This lady needs to be fired, she is doing a customer facing role where you need to be professional and have good customer service if you are not capable to answer a call respectfully get out of the job, simple. Very ridiculous. And I think I know who this lady is by face as I have seen one lady shouting in the past to an elderly customer as if she was deaf. terrible behaviour. I won't even bother going to this post office anymore, very bad attitude.

Most disgusting service I have ever received The lady at the post office is utterly rude and I believe she also had issues serving white customers. She is always very friendly to Asian people but the disrespect I have received is unacceptable, she asked me to leave as I was holding up the queue because I simply asked why she wouldn't take my post. She refused to answer and gestured to the next customer She refused to take in my paid for post which was paid for online even though I had a printed proof with me. I told her that she will receive a Google review and also have sent a formal compliant about her to post office itself as this lady should not be allowed to to work with customers. I really hope Post Office takes these feedbacks in and the lady will eventually loose her job.

The customer adviser on her name Shanta Sanki been so rude and argueeing with me today with no reason.i was waiting to send some money in USA and then after a long quee waiting she doesnt wanna serve me saying to bring the money gram card with me. I told her I've lost it and i wanna give her a money gram form completed.she still doesn't wanna serve me shouting and screaming like a crazy saying that she don't have a card to give me. However,her colegue nicely helped me and finally I send the money with the card just with the form completed. In the end Shanta said to me never to come to the post office bc there's plenty money gram in the Uk. She's really rude.Dude u need pshicological help.if shes tierd of her job she better retire.rude.rude! She manage to change my mood today!

Never have I experienced such rude, inefficient service anywhere. The staff chat among themselves and wander off to show each other stuff on their phones while serving. I've never been served without the woman stopping to wander away for one reason or another. She was so distracted one day she tried to charge me twice for stamps, and got extremely rude and unpleasant when I explained she had made a mistake. This issue was never actually sorted out, and I gave up trying in the end. I now go elsewhere for my post office needs. I'd rather drive further away than set foot in there. All of the staff need a course in customer relations, especially the female manager. I've only given a star so I can write this review. They don't actually deserve any.

When I visited the post office first time I was very disappointed with the service I have received, lady at the counter was rude and dismissive however at the time I thought everyone is allowed a bad day. On the second occasion she refused to assist me with anything as I arrived at 4.03pm and as she informed me she closed her station at 4pm. Never mind that it clearly says that the post office is open till 5pm. She actually laughed at me when I asked if she couldn't make an exception given that the website says 5pm and I wasn't aware of the time change. I would understand if she simply answer that she cannot do so, but no need to laugh into people's face and wave at them. No one appreciates being treated this way.

The Two indian ladies at the front desk seems like they are running a cartel rather than customer service/admin work. They point blank refuse to take parcels exceeding even 1 mm despite them being accepted at other branches with ease! Collection is free for most of the label I generate and they are also picked up without any hassle but everytime I visit this post office as I am unfortunate to love in that area they give a hard time. If Royal mail representative is reading they should atleast spend some time in staff training let alone bully them. Its not 1960s any more and there is plenty of competetion out there and staff like these ladies in this branch will only push the business away.

The manager at chadwell heath I think her name is Shanti. S, her behaviour has been consistently appalling. Despite speaking in a civilised way multiple times she has frequently spoken in an extremely rude and derogatory way. She acts In a superior way and denies any deposit of cash after a specific time. Furthermore, if you you try to deposit multiple times a day within the time period she denies service. I am not an expert, but I am pretty sure you cannot deny service if there is no problem with the behaviour of the customer and so I urge the authorities to take some initiative in the customer services of this place.

Very hard to give a star. Got there at 16.05 and the lady said she is closing. I EXPLAINED to her it's an emergency and I've ran out of electricity , she just look at me with no understanding or compassion . She refused to help me even though closing time was 5 pm and not 4 ... a few people was also turn away because we all know the post office shut at 5 pm. Very disappointed that we are treated like that and yet so many business complaint when we don't support local businesses. It doesn't cost a lot to be polite towards customers. I think I'll rather use a different post office from now Very disappointed

Hi, my experience with post office staff has always been good. Depending on type of customer, they are firm about certain things. Seeing 1 star rating from many other customers means that there are things that may need improvement in the customer dealing end. The manager Shanta has always been very helpful to me. Always comes to the point and responds promptly. Looking at the other reviews, I think other customers expect a bit more welcoming customer service with a smile on the face all the time. This may be something that may improve customers perception. Hope my review is helpful in making any improvements.

My experience at this post office was well below what one would expect from a representative of the Post Office. The lady that served me was very rude, her attitude was so accusatory and obnoxious that my young child recognised her impolite attitude and couldn't understand why the service I received was so bad. There have been other negative experiences of other customers and reviews left reflecting this, unfortunately, no improvement has been made. The Post Office should take on board customers' reviews and take action to increase the customer service skills of members of staff at this post office.

I went there in morning to collect passport form and the lady said that we do check and send service here so you can come back for this. Later same day I went there around 4:30pm same lady said we are not doing check and send now and we I'll be doing it tomorrow after 11am. Keeping in mind the post office was supposed to close at 6:30PM but this service ended even before that. I find the staff totally unprofessional and misleading. I had to call another post office and get it done before 6pm. I definitely don't recommend this post office specially if you want to get anything done urgently.

I would give this place 0 stars if i could. Absolutely appalling customer service. The lady that served me was rude and arrogant and completely unhelpful. I will definitely be taking this complaint further as i took note of the lady's name (lady is putting it kindly). I would understand if i was asking stupid questions but it gave me attitude from the second it called me forward. Absolutely disgusting. And talking to others it seems she has given similar treatment to them. Quite frankly she needs to go as there are people out there that would kill for that job and actually be good at it.

I cannot believe they allow such people to represent the Royal Mail. Such disgusting attitudes and disrespectful workers at the counters. They were meant to print me a label but made me walk to another shop to print and then witnessed printing for another two Indian customers. I then questioned this and she still blatently lied and said she hasn't got a printer. If you go there, do not show any level of respect as they do not show any. Seems like they do not want to help you in any sort of way. They don't seem bothered at all. Such a disgrace.

I have used royal mail post offices a lot. In fact I have a royalmail business account which I use to send parcels. This post office at chadwell heath is utterly terrible. There are two old ladies on the counters who could do a better job. My experience with this post office is always disappointing. These two ladies assume that all the customers are old and unaware of things just like them. I hope someone takes over this postoffice or just close it for good so that other peoples time isn’t wasted. Doesn’t deserve the 1 star at all

These lot are bad, I still use them from time to time but now I go Rose Lane as it's quiet and I've got to know the guys there. But I've realised most post office staff have this attitude why I really don't know, but it's because customers are in need and can't do without so they just don't care as it doesn't affect their business much. Totally agree with all the negative comments, always giving you the highest postage prices and are not transparent, just confusing. Go Rose Lane much better and quieter there so not much waiting..

Indian lady is so rude and unprofessional. She is not fit for this job, better learn some manners. She does not know what are QR codes and refused to post my item whereas I had the code my on phone. She shouted like made at me and told me to go home and print the label myself. She needs to upgrade her skills. Royal Mail is making postage service convenient for customers by introducing QRs so that you don’t have to print labels. She called me silly and even the lady who was trying to explain... very bad attitude..

No stars to this Post Office at all- how they can still operate with their incompetent service is beyond me. Terrible attitude especially the lady with the glasses, always mocking customers! If you don't like dealing with people then find another job and get some professional help and retraining on your customer service skills. The Post Office seriously need to do something about this. Might be a bit contraversial for some, but my experiences with this Post Office has never actually been negative. The wait is as long as any other Post Office. Never found it to be longer or shorter. But the main two things is where my review seems to differ from others. 1) The staff...I've found them to be, well, fine. Genuinely never had a negative experience when dealing with them and their attitude has been fine. 2) Speed and accuracy. Good, no complaints. Just got the job done fine.

I use this Post Office at least on a weekly basis and sometimes several times a week to post my packages and parcels and I have always found ALL the staff working here to be helpful, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Shanta and Varsha always greet me with a smile and process my packages as quickly and as efficiently as possible. I reached post office in time before closing. At 5.29pm they closed their windows and didn't serve me. I was the last person in the queue and noone else was behind me. I had to walk back home with 2 huge bags like santa claus as I couldn't post my parcels. I don't drive and it's a total 40+ minute walk. I just moved into this area recently. Absolutely devastated by how rude people are here. No empathy for one another. It's disgusting.

Today At 17:15 I was standing in the queue to deposit cash at this PO. To my surprise the lady who was serving said she can accept deposit.. i asked this should been mentioned somewhere but to my surprise she behaved so rude and shouted that she can make the rules herself. I asked for Track and Trace and the greedy manager charged me for the highest priced option which was Special Delivery (£11.15). Did not offer me the other options of Tracked 24 or 48 which would be £4 max. I am so disappointed! I will be using another post office from now on :)

Since moving to Chadwell heath me and my partner have not had a bad experience at this post office. Shanta and Varsha were helpful when dealing with our enquiries. We have not felt disrespected or seen disrespect towards other customers, so surprised to see the other reviews.

Used this branch regularly untill they lost one off my parcels sold on Ebay! The item was a second hand earbuds charger so no proof of the value ! I did a claim against them and I only got postage refund but not the lost item! Very poor service!
