They gave us water instead of a magnum bottle of vodka. We have an entire group of witnesses who were with us. What I have written can be validated; when you get around to watching the camera you will see how you are commenting with no actual idea of what happened to us. I have been offered no formal apology even though my birthday was ruined. Your call to us was not as you have stated. All we have had is slander and rudeness. Writing this rude response is not a formal apology and will not be accepted as one. The only reason I gave gave an apology on the night is because I thought he was asking for a refund on all the "vodka" (water!!) the waiter was spilling on the table. You need to look up violence in a dictionary as the only person who physically acted was one of your staff members. The staff has also apparently lied to you about our demeanor and put words into our mouths we did not say as I can see in your response, when in fact we were threatened and my friend was pushed by the bouncer for no reason (who had to step forward to push him.) You havent even checked the cameras and are already making accusations. We were all sober while this all occured. If the bottle was an accident - how did they not pick up on the fact it was unsealed. Given that they also offered to us on arrival when we did not originally choose that type of alochol with our package, seemed fishy. Also the fact that they immediately tried to get us to take all of the shots and other real alcohol right away before going on to the "vodka" water. We all think so. I have not seen a situation managed more poorly than what this establishment had done. If you were sincere about mending this you would not be treating us this badly. Please provide evidence of any situation where we have threatened you, you will find none. I will be waiting for the formal apology to myself for ruining my birthday and full refund and apology to Stuart as you will find when you get your facts straight, we did not act or speak in any inappropriate ways.

Talking about dressing - we certainly dressed better and appropriately for Friday night and No! we weren't intoxicated. You do not have any proper explanation for refusal of entry and yes all that points out to Racism. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Racists! Had worst experience, bouncer stopped us and asked if we were part of guest list. We were told no entry unless you weren't on the list. Sounded alright we stood aside and was going through website for checking VIP offerings. Immediately group of localites tried to enter the pub, after seeing us glance at them bouncer asked if they were on guest list, they replied no after slight hesitation bouncer allowed them. This repeated for several members, half of whom he din't even bother to ask if they are members (or) registered as guests. Confronted him on the same and he was least bothered to reply. Shame! It was a blessing in disguise, been to Marrakech and had an amazing night. So thanks, may be!

I had a good and bad experience there. Great atmosphere and great staff except 1 bartender and 1 security who have no clue who to treat patrons. I was there for a birthday and had ordered drinks for my friends. Afterwards I asked for a glass of water but the bartender refused to serve me and told me to go to the other side of the bar. After insisting of getting a glass of water, he walked away and I gave up. I took my last drink off the bar and was about to have it with my friends when a security guard grab me by the throat and choked me and kicked me out. After talking to the management who were so friendly and apologetic, I've been informed that the bartender will be fired by the week end and the security guard has been warned. It really shows that this is not acceptable by the management itself and it's definitely not an attitude that they condone at chaise lounge. I would totally recommend you Chaise lounge,not only because of good music and atmosphere but also because the management team do review all incidents without being biased and take necessary actions.

I booked the Bronze drink package for a hens night on the 25.8.18 and it was absolutely fantastic. Gemma and the Chaise Lounge team were so accomodating and friendly. They made the whole event feel so stress free. The hens party was a massive success and we all had a night to truly remember. The reserved space, music and drinks package was perfect for what we wanted and the staff member who took care of us was an absolute delight! He made sure we had everything we needed all night and I can't speak highly enough of him. In the past, I haven't had very nice experiences with other bars when organising things like that so I was so grateful for such a wonderful experience for my friend/bride to be!

I went to Chaise for my birthday last year with my friends & we had a great time! I grew listening to 90’s and early 00’s RnB and the DJ delivered with nostalgic songs that I knew all the words to. If you’re looking for ol’skool rnb and what’s current, Chaise Lounge is the place to be Friday and Saturday!! It doesn’t matter if you accidentally spill your drinks. The bar staff will mop it up & clean around you while you’re dancing I’m amazed how the bar staff know their customers and their drinks and are super friendly. And if you’re a regular, no wait time! I may be speaking from a newbie experience. My friend n I dressed up for a fun saturday night out but coz you know being students we don't have fancy cars to drive in so, comfy canvas shoes to walk 4-5 km with our dresses was our first choice. N I assumed it was fine coz coming from Dunedin went clubbing like that all the time. The persons at the door said quote "your friend in wearing runners! You gotta dress up to enter" with a face... I had seen the tag casual here on google reviews .. But lol nope. So I think it would fun but, girls, dress up. Not my kind a fun though.

The place was an amazing place great music and atmosphere. The place was really friendly and had a amazing vibe and the dress code is not as strict as other places which helps if you don't want to be too dressed up for a night out.The drinks and booth packages are really well priced and came with a lot of inclusions, the event manager Gemma was amazing in helping and explaining the packages and also just assisting in making a night to remember. I can definitely recommend this place and the packages they offer

I hosted my best friends hens night at Chaise Lounge as it’s her favourite nightclub. We booked the VIP lounge sapphire package. Gemma our Chaise host was beyond amazing. From first contact, right through to after the night itself, she had great communication and made the process stress free. They were more than accommodating with the alcohol on the night and everyone had an amazing time! I would highly recommend Gemma and Chaise Lounge for your special event!

We had Mum’s big 50th at Chaise Lounge and had zero hassles the whole time. The team were great communicators in the lead up to the event as well as on the day. We were allowed food and decor and the VIP room was more than adequate for our guests. Bar service and music were great. We had about 50 guests that night and the consensus is that everyone had positive experiences. Thanks especially to Juan, David and Will!

Was there with a group for a friends bday. My friend ordered a drink package for $1000 and in the expensive bottle of vodka that was included we found that it was water. They handled everything so badly. When questioned they sent a bouncer to intimidate. Then the owner who wasn't even there contacted my friend being extremely rude to him. Very bad venue. Worst experience.

I am going to the police today to report being assaulted by a bouncer at this bar last night. If there is CCTV it will show me being pushed to the ground by an aggressive staff member for absolutely no reason. My friends and I were well behaved and totally shocked by the persons violence. If you don't want to get injured like I have been I would not go to this venue!

Great little spot to get your groove on, Open area is kind of small but they seem to balance the numbers well to not flood the floor. Drinks are easy enough to get! Didn't have to wait 20 minutes for a bev, so that's always good. Bar staff were fantastic, however. Security guards were looking for people to boot out unnecessarily as if to almost justify their job.

Had a bitter experience.. the staff is so rude they denied the entry with no reason. We have our guest list booked. Me and my mates complied with all the terms of entry. This is my last day in Melbourne and we are off to Sydney. This experience is so bad and #Chaselongue ruined our evening. Is this coz we are immigrants?

Long story short, thievery at its worst. Bouncers were super quick. Bald bartender.., can’t say the same. Poured raspberry cordial instead of the shot. I can 100% understand if you need to cut someone off. But for someone who’s having their first drink, you’re legit ripping them off

Very rude security guard. Didn't treat me well and kicked me out because I left a drink at the entrance (was going to smoke for 5min). After 10min he let a person do the exact same and enter again. It was my first week in Australia, didn't feel good or welcomed. Very bad attitude

Thanks heaps to the Chaise Lounge team! Had my wifes surprise birthday on Saturday and the staff and music was perfect. Everyone havent stopped raving about how good it was. Even Security team were great making jokes and showed heaps of respect. Definetly going back again!! More

Nice venue, we went here with a small group for a friend's birthday and were very well treated. The bouncer was a decent dude and the bar was quick and had a good variety. The only problem was the slightly too loud music, tone it down by 5% and the place would be perfect.

It's the worst place with lots of islanders running a mock drunk all over the place trying to fight people. Anywhere there's New Zealand crowds you can't dance or injoy because too drunk trying to pick fights and stepping on you because they're too bloody drunk.

One of the best places in the city (CBD). Vibe is amazing, the owner has some solid music taste and hops on to DJ once in a while Bouncers/security aren’t d-bags, they’re actually really nice (pre-pandemic I haven’t been back since). I really love this spot

I have been searching for this music since being in aus from august last year. I only spent just over an hour here due to getting there at just before 2am and already the best night out ive had since being here!! Bouncer was super friendly

The bouncers were very hospitable and Juan the bartender and his bartender team that night was wonderful and looked after us. Thee music was true RNB and we enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you so much for a wonderful night!

Had a great time the first time I went to the RnB night because the music was great. The second time I went they started just playing gangsta rap, I'm guessing for the guys, and it was just boring. Drinks are cheap though.

Security gaurd did not let me in coz I was alone and I don’t mind and understand this being a security gaurd .But their behaviour towards me was too bad and inappropriate. I was not even drunk.

Went to this place on whim, one of the best decisions done Music was spot on to what we were looking for, vibe was emmaculate and the people were very friendly.

Place was empty, with about 5 people in it Went on a Friday night around 10:30pm and left within 5 minutes. However venue looks cool and bathrooms were nice.

Saturday Night was insane we had the perfect night celebrating my best friends Bday.. Music and Djs were amazing also staff was very nice and respectful..

Cheap drinks and friendly staff! Just make sure you don't need to break your seal because the toilet room is tiny and could barely fit two people in it.
