Both our kids went to Challenger's SLC campus until recently when we had to move to another state. During our four years, here's what I liked the best. The education is delivered in a format that is very entertaining to kids particularly at the preschool level. From their reading program songs to CDs and classroom practice, the school has mastered the delivery methodology that makes kids enjoy learning. If I picked up my kids while they were walking back from the playground, I would often hear them from across the hallway, happily singing their vowel song or practicing their sight words. Their math program is another highlight; they start introducing concepts through early preschool years and build competency by practicing worksheets in elementary. Same goes for science where the focus is on learning fundamental concepts by practical application. At any given time, the kids are easily 1.5 grade above a public school; that's even if they have been average performers in the class. People generally perceive such academically inclined schools to curb creativity among kids. We never ran into that issue as the after-school programs balanced it out. Our children attended chess, art, and theater. If I have the opportunity, I would love to enroll my kids in Challenger again. PS: A special shout out to our daughter's last teacher Ms. Yancy. She was kind, compassionate, fun and a great role model.

Very good school, highly recommended. After moving from one of the charter schools downtown, the progress my kid made was amazing. The kids work hard at this school, but the homework is actually more manageable and less time consuming than in the public school setting, because the kids know exactly what they need to do. I "blame it" on the teachers, they are quite effective, and they teach students to be responsible and take charge of their own work.

I went to preschool here. Without their one-on-one reading classes, I am sure that my reading skills and love for books would have never soared the way it did here. They let me keep the little booklets that they taught me phonetics and words with. My siblings and I still have ours. I miss my teachers, Dee-Ann and Anne. Thank you for giving me an unforgettable education.

GREAT SCHOOL, LOVE THE TEACHERS AND THE CURRICULUM. My son started there when he was 3 years old and now he is in 1st grade. We never had a bad experience. My son is learning so much so fast however we never felt that he is overwhelmed with homework. The school is safe, school's building is well maintained and in excellent condition in and out, very clean.

Kids told us a few times that the teacher here wasn't nice. They were seeming to develop mean habits so we pulled them and tried a public school this year. The public school has been such a better experience and the kids are way better and like school a ton more. Wouldn't recommend Challenger.

This school is a republican propaganda school. Listen to their commercials very closely.. and the very right-wing direction and undertone.. that somehow people that need help are lazy and want things given to them. I would consider seriously looking at the curriculum and who funds it.

Everyone works with a smile from 0730 until 1800. The kids always has something to do (homework). Classes are busy from start to finish, and no book goes unopened. Love the programs that are planned during the year which is an easy way to see what's being learned day to day.

Both of my son's have gone here. For both of them it has been a fantastic experience. It has a great staff with years of education experience. The teachers know how to work with students at different levels while fostering a caring community within the student body.

My son has been a student for 7 years and what he is learning at Challenger goes above and beyond expectations. Challenger provides a healthy environment for students to learn and grow, and encourages students to be independent and think for themselves.

This place has bullies and the school won't do anything about it because they want the money from tuition. Horrible policies, bullies in classes, teachers who don't care.
