Today I attempted making an appointment with Chapel Street Medical Center to be seen at this practice which is closer to my new home. I am deeply disappointed by the service provided as I have been refused access to a Doctor on the basis that the Doctor there does not make face to face visits when patients have a viral infection. Not only does it make me wonder when have Doctors decided not to do their job but is also extremely worrying to see a practice where medical receptionnists make medical assessements in lieu of a Doctor (as I was assessed by the receptionnist calling me after I made the appointment to ask me what was bringing me there today..).This practice is negligent and does not fulfill its duty of care. I then booked an appointment some place else where doctors are actually willing to help patients and don't pick and choose.

I have been seeing Dr Battat for some time now. He is the kindest, most caring doctor I’ve ever come across. But more importantly, I trust in his extensive medical knowledge and wealth of experience in the field of medicine, along with his holistic approaches. I feel in good hands under Dr Battat’s care, and this extends to his lovely kind receptionists too.

At my visit today the receptionist was warm and friendly. She excelled in trying to process my medicare rebate without my correct card at hand. Dr Battat was professional and welcoming as ever. All over, a pleasant and productive visit to a small but patient-centered practice. Well done! Recommend.

Since I’ve arrived in Australia the best GP I had :) really nice environment (receptionist), good listener and took seriously my problem (infected thumb by an injured). I felt i was being attended by my doctor in my home country! Totally recommend.

I have never been to see a Dr and felt so welcome and respected. The receptionist and the Dr i visited are outstanding and I have never been treated with such respect before by a treating Dr and the lovely receptionist in all my life .

Very friendly receptionist & Dr. Had a little bit of a wait on the first appointment. Dr Battat was very informative & patient with lines of query as was his receptionist. And appears to have a stealth of experience.

I love Dr. Battat, & his beautiful wife. They are the kindest people, & Dr. Battat has been an incredible Doctor in regards with my mental health issues.
