Cool story. So for my wife's birthday, I wanted to get her something special. I ended up purchasing a beautiful 4 carat faceted Ethiopian fire opal -- the stone alone, almost directly from source. In the process of looking to have it placed in a ring setting, I stumbled upon Charles Patrick-- the only black jeweler and master watch maker that I have ever met in my life. If you live in NYC, you know how insular the jewelry industry is here --- so to find a black owned jewelry store on Wall St of all places... was amazing to say the least. Upon my arrival, I was greeted with his smile and prestigious service. I showed him the stone, and he agreed to make it into the gift of a lifetime. He did not disappoint. In less than 24 hours, he created this beautiful piece that I can confidently say is a 1 of 1. You cant put a price on this kind of experience. But with Charles Patrick, you will find that his price is beyond reasonable, and extremely competitive to all the others. He is now in the process of restoring my vintage 1960s era Hamiton watch, and im excited to see the end result.

I NEVER write reviews- but this guy impressed the hell out of me...so here goes. I took my watch in to get a new battery yesterday AM. It was $15 and took him all of 5 minutes. 2 hrs later my watch stopped working- I didn't have time to go back yesterday so I went back this AM. He said no problem- he would take a look at it to see what the issue is. I thought for sure it was a scam and he did something or replaced it with a bad battery-something shady- though skeptical- I left the watch with him. To my delight- I came back this afternoon to this gentleman with a smile. He said he cleaned the connectors and some other parts of the innards and it should work fine now...and there is no charge. LOVE being surprised when I think I am going to be screwed. I would recommend this dude to anyone who needs their watch or jewelry repaired.

Amazing experience. I took a damaged sterling silver bracelet to 3 places before Charles Patrick and all of them said that the original links of the bracelet had to be replaced (damaging the originality of the bracelet). I did not want to do this as the bracelet is a family heirloom. Charles was able to repair the damaged links of the bracelet. The first 3 jewelers that I brought it to said that this could not be done. He completed the repair in a very timely manner and the customer service was excellent. He charged me a very reasonable price for his services. I highly recommend Charles Patrick Jewelers

Charles Patrick (actually Patrick Charles) seems to know every watch of every vintage inside and out. He certainly can fix ANYTHING. Truly someone who loves his work. And he treats his customers as guests in his homey and unique store. Not the easiest place to find, but worth the effort, tucked into a semi-hidden staircase in a classic Wall Street office building. The whole experience is a trip back in time to the Financial District of yore -- but this amazing watchmaker is as good with brand new quartz models as he is with pre-war Hamiltons and Illinoises.

The service is amazing!!! I brought my watch to repair. I went to other place (in Diamond District) first and they told me expensive price and took 3 weeks to fix. After that, I l researched and saw the good review of Charles Patrick Jewelers and it was right!!! Charles charged me less than half price that other place told me, and also less than one week!! He told me if something happen after that, please bring it back and he will take care of it!! He is very professional and good person. I appreciate his service.

I researched a few places in the area and based upon the previous review I chose this shop. I took one of my favorite pairs of earrings in to have the clasp fixed. It was a simple enough of a job but I knew that if I attempted to fix it myself that I would have made it worse. The repair look about 5 minutes and to my surprise he didnt even charge me. It was a very pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this place for customer service and quality of the repair.

I stopped in recently for a minor watch repair and to get a link removed. Charles took a look and repaired the watch on the spot while I waited. The whole process was very quick and easy. I'll definitely be back if I have any watch/jewelry repair needs. The store is up a flight of stairs to the left of the elevators off the Wall Street entrance.

I trust my watches here! I have one, a favorite not to be found in the US, that has at different times needed either a new battery or link removal and Charles Patrick Jewelers does a stellar job at great prices. The shop also sells antique jewelry and knick-knacks. Awesome place with a unique NY feel.

Completely messed up the request and then pushed the blame away from himself. To make it worse, he was patronizing instead of engaging in an open dialogue. Forced a payment of $100+ when he had originally guaranteed that it would be $60-$80. Incompetent, not transparent, and - worst of all - rude.

Small Store - Big Service Charles Patrick is knowledgeable jeweler and a very friendly person. Came in there for a simple fix on a strap and he turned it around in couple of hours. Do business with him, he has your best interests at hand. Also - be mindful that ENTRANCE IS ON NASSAU NOT BROADWAY

Amazing customer service! I had a tennis bracelet that was broken, and they were able to accommodate to have it fixed literally within a couple of hours, when every other jeweler in town told me that it would takes days to weeks to fix. Really appreciate his quick work, and great quality.

My appraisal was out of date and without hesitation they renewed it for free. I don't think to many jewelers in NYC would give you this kind of service. Outstanding guy. Really great experience and I highly recommend this jeweler for all your jeweler and appraisal needs.

Superb. Note that he has moved to 14 Wall despite what Maps shows. Inside the main entrance and up a small stairway in the lobby. SOOO nice and very attentive. He changed my watch battery - high quality watch.

Charles has fixed so many things for me, from bracelets to necklaces and most recently an Ebel watch I got wet. He removed all the rust and got it working again for a good price.
