Charleswood veterinary came highly recommended by a friend years ago. We switched over to them after visiting several veterinarians out for high priced diagnostics testing on our dog. We were welcomed with their very friendly staff, and were always presented all of the options for diagnostics, swabs or medication treatments. We brought our old dog here to be put down at the end of his journey, and I can’t say enough good things about how they helped us handle this very emotional time! Thank you. Since that time we have a new 1 year old dog that we have had neutered at Charleswood that went very well, they took excellent care of him and sent us home super prepared to deal with his puppy hyperactivity and wound care! We love this vet as so do so many other people. Skilled, professional, caring, and don’t break your bank account! They are the best! We look forward to many more years of service at this vet!

After calling several vet clinics, asking to have them take a look at my cat after he had eaten a poisonous plant.... they all turned me down before committing to a "minimal 72 hour, $600 visit". I felt like none of them had my pets well being as 1st priority. Then I called charleswood location. 1st question I was asked was "how is he/she doing?" And they got me in to check my fur baby right away. They kept me calm and positive (which was the complete opposite I had felt after speaking to any other vet) They took care of my fur baby with not only great care, but they kept my financial situation in mind. I have NEVER been to a vet that has been willing to work with me on payment! More vets...ALL vets should take notes!! Big thank you to Charleswood Veterinary Clinic!!!

The staff are incredibly knowledgable and really go above and beyond to care for our dogs. They are always accommodating, their appointments run on time, they always follow up a few days later. The level of care from all the staff is just incredible. We struggled with a mystery illness with several other vets in the city, we than came to Charleswood by recommendation from a friend. Dr. Mulhern immediately began investigating, she researched all possibilities she could find and even reached out to specialists in research facilities in other provinces. Her tireless hard work paid off, our dog is back to her healthy self. We are beyond grateful for the level of care offered here. We are so happy to be their clients and highly recommend them to everyone!

We made the switch after we moved and had our previous vet take new ownership. Dr. Megan Leclair saw our dog to check out some concerns we had, and with our first visit she had made such a positive wonderful impression! She was so incredibly kind to our dog who was nervous in the new clinic, and helped him to calm down so quickly. At times our old vet seemed to rush the appointments, and didn't always fully resolve our concerns. Dr. Leclair explained each thing to us so it made so much sense, and was immediately no longer a concern. We are so excited to have our dogs going to such a compassionate, knowledgeable and caring doctor!!

I've been dealing with this clinic since we moved to Winnipeg 4-4.5 yrs ago... Yesterday, I had business with them & I could not be any happier with the way they're conducting themselves during these trying times in order for our pets to be properly cared for. I found their rules, guidance (Ie. A video link is sent to you prior to visit to explain procedures), and staff could not be more spot on during this pandemic safety wise both for them & ourselves.... YES! Bring your pet here for care where you'll not only get informative advice, but I've always felt the Dr.'s will take the time to listen to your pet concerns.

My dog had never been here before but they squeezed us in within an hour on a Friday afternoon after he ate something he shouldn't have. I was provided a very clear estimate of the costs up front, they kept it well under that budget and called me frequently to update on his condition. They even called me on a Saturday to check in on how my pooch was doing (he was thankfully just fine!). Every staff member we had an interaction with was polite, helpful, and concerned for my pup. Made me feel like he was perfectly safe in their hands. Can't say how much I appreciated that, they made a scary situation bearable!

We have been clients of this vet for over 20 years. The level of professionalism and compassion are second to none. When my first dog was at the end of her life, they did everything possible to save her and were unbelievably empathetic in the last moments. For my second fur daughter, top notch care her entire life and the level of end of life care and empathy left me knowing she was in great care and treated well. No matter what vet my girls have visited here, it’s always been a great experience and I have nothing but accolades for all staff.

We've been with the Charleswood Vet Clinic since moving to Winnipeg close to 20 years ago. In that time, we've had 4 dogs in their care, and have been super happy with all the vets and staff there over the years. I'd just like to give a shoutout to Dr Beggs, who recently performed a lumpectomy on our (very senior) Rottweiller Mabs. A difficult surgery, not without risk, she did an awesome job, and he's recovering well. We're oh-so-grateful, and BIG thanks to her and all the staff there, during what has been an emotionally trying time for us.

I took my Miniature Schnauzers to Charleswood Veterinary Clinic for many years. Both Sam and Max had health issues later in life and I found the vets to be kind, knowledgable and very understanding with my concerns. The manager and the girls that work at the front desk were always a pleasure to deal with and would always manage to get us in when we had a problem or emergency. I have nothing but great things to say about this clinic and the staff that work there.

Because of covid you can’t go into the clinic but I phoned as soon as we got there. We were half hour early and they looked after us within 5 min. I took our cat to the door. They brought her back about 10 min later and phoned with information right away. They did a blood test and called within 2 hours with results. We have gone there twice now and i am very happy with the way we have been treated and feel the prices they charge are very fair.

Loved the way we were treated by all at Charleswood Veterinary Clinic. From the reception to Dr.Jocelyn, who made us feel right at home. We had only taken our furbabies to Roblin animal hospital before, for the past 4+yrs but they never made us feel comfortable the way Charleswood Veterinary clinic did, right from the time we 1st walked through their doors. I came across a post online of a family who had lost their cat due to this establishment overdosing their cat. I am beyond disgusted to have read the way they treated them. They no longer have their cat with them due to the horrible service. Do not bring your animal here please. There is a petition going on to hold this office accountable for their actions and I am hoping something is done about it. Shame on you.

Been taking the family pets since I was a kid. Have seen different Vets over the years and can't complain about any of them. Their assistants and admin team are excellent as well. Always feel like our dog is in good hands. She is always happy to go for a visit. Four out of four! Their response to the pandemic has been top notch as well. Great job adapting and keeping everyone safe.

Dr. Jocelyn Beggs is a phenomenal Veterinarian who has looked after generations of my canine family members. The dogs are always so pleased to see her! We are very lucky to benefit from her experience, knowledge, and dry wit. For scent-sensitive people the lobby often has a strongly scented candle burning- so just a heads up to call in advance to ask them to put it out for your visit.

Every time I have been to the clinic or called the staff are amazing. My dogs always feel comfortable with the staff. You can see how much they care about the animals in their care. When one of my dogs suddenly passed away, they stayed late for me to get there, they didn't rush me and when I picked up her ashes they all signed a card for me. It was such a kind gesture.

Dr. Megan LeClaire is absolutely amazing. The office staff also amazing. Dr. LeClaire seen my fur baby through her best days and her worst ...i can't recommend this clinic enough. Their compassion for your fur baby and you as their owner... Absolutely caring. I truly believe they have a place in their heart for every animal they treat.

When to the clinic yesterday with Loulou my little dog, the best place the front staff so friendly and with a big smile very helpful, thank you. And Dr. Beggs what can I say she is the best been taking care of Loulou for 10 years and my cat Minou 5 years she is so understanding and knowledge I trust her 100%. Thank you Dr. Beggs.

The best veterinary practice I have ever been to. I've seen most of the techs and they are always so compassionate and caring. Dr. Tully is absolutely amazing. If she doesn't know something, she will find out. She has called me after a visit to see how my cat is doing. If you want a good vet, here is where you want to be.

Able to get in quickly when necessary. Everyone very friendly. Sad time when our eldest golden passed. But we had some private time on the grass behind the clinic and spent the last hour with our Maguire. We were able to bring our other golden to share in the moment. Perhaps he understood a bit.

The veterinarians there are top-notch. They were very gentle with my pets. You can tell that it's more than just a job to them they genuinely care for the animals that they treat. They distracted my puppy and kitten with treats before vaccinating them so that there was no stress involved.

We go here for several of our cats and the experiance has ben amazing, the staff is kind and responsive. They have helped our older cat through the rough patches and she is doing great. The experiance in the clinic is nice and calm and friendly, there is no rushing the appointment here.

I know that vets inside the city are more expensive but convenience is also important. This is super close for those in st James and charleswood. We've taken our dog since he was a puppy and he truly loves it. As a somewhat shy dog he still pulls us inside even after years.

We visited charleswood vet clinic with our dog Brandy from the time we got her to the end of her days. They were always amazing, especially Dr. Whelen - high good humour, love and support were shown for our dog. Would recommend this clinic 100% of the time.

Have been getting regular care for my fur family with this clinic for years. Helped to diagnose and save my cat, creating a sustainable treatment regimen for her. She is my gentle, sweet loving fluff muffin and I get to keep cuddling her for years to come.

Great vets here. Our dog has Cushings disease and we winter in the south. Our vet here called us at least 4 times last winter checking on our dog. They are very caring and take the extra time to make sure that our pets are happy and healthy.

Vets and staff were amazing when we had an emergency with our dog. They fit us in the schedule and explained all of the treatment and surgery options. After the surgery the vet called to check in several times throughout the following week.

Our dog has behavior issues as well as allergies. The vets here have been to work with us to provide care for our dog despite all of the issues and at a hogher level of caring then any other clinic I've been to.

I’ve been bringing my dog here for a couple years now and all the staff and vets are very friendly. I don’t love how much they try and push vaccinations and procedures but that’s pretty typical for vet offices.

Service was excellent however standing outside in the weather is like going back in time. Businesses need to respect a customer's comfort because we are paying a premium for their services.

If I could give less than one star I would. Unorganized, staff that are unable to follow through on the simplest customers service transactions. Take your business elsewhere. I plan to.

So helpful, friendly staff and reasonable rates, took our Schnese (Schnauzer/Havanese) for her rabies, kennel cough shots and heartworm pills, they treated her like a little princess!
