I drove my aunt from Pahrump to Las Vegas for eye surgery when pulling into the parking lot my aunts car overheated blowing all the antifreeze out the cap after my aunts surgery I had found Charlie's imports Auto Services on Google map that was closest to our location I called them up and a very nice lady answered the phone and told us to bring our car Down to the shop and they would see what they could do, after arriving I went inside the office meeting Jackie the receptionist she was very kind and Sam was also in the office and when I announce that I was the person that called earlier about our car overheating and that my aunt had just had eye surgery they remembered me right away and they immediately put my aunts car inside the shop to see what was wrong despite the fact you could tell they were very very busy , I thought it might have been the thermostat sticking but upon Sams inspection he found out the problem with the cooling system (and no it wasn't the thermostat) and that the car also needed a new radiator cap. So after the work was done and Sam doing a test drive to make sure nothing else was wrong with the car we were in n out in about an hour and that was also with the guys being on their lunch break. In conclusion if you want to be treated with respect and kindness and have great work done on your vehicle which is something rarely seen in this world today let alone Las Vegas , I would recommend Charlie's import Auto Service , Jackie and Sam took a very stressful situation for my aunt and myself and turned it into a very good day my aunts car runs great we made it home to Pahrump without any problems and would truly like to thank and say God bless to Jackie ,Sam, and the guys in the shop thank you very much you all were truly a blessing in a time of need.

Took my truck here cuz it wouldnt start it just cranked, they said they could fix it for around $60 to $120, i said great, 30mins later they called and said they couldnt fix it cuz key needs to be reprogrammed and for them to call their programer it will be $300 to fix it, i said no i can have it programmed for $85 from any locksmith in the valley, they said ok well its still $60 for looking at it, i said whatever here is your $60 (for nothing!) And got my key back. Then i called an auto locksmith in vegas and had them go and program my key for $85 right there in front of their shop & had it started in 5 mins, they then told me their going to ask my locksmith for his business card because their locksmith has outrageous prices, haha yeah right yall know all programmers here charge $85 but you quadruple the fee to make almost quadruple the profit!!! Shame shame shame on them for thinking people are stupid enough to not check how much mobile key programmers actually charge in the valley and take your word for it that it cost $300 then try to act like their shocked that locksmiths charge $85 for key programming. This is the 2nd car ive had reprogrammed from 2 different shops, $85 is the normal rate here, beware they took my $60 "to fix it" only for me to have to pay someone else to actually fix it, which they were trying to take $300 for programming and $60 for looking at it!!!

DONT GO HERE Took my van in to get the rear brakes and rotors done, $700. Got my van back the same day and the check engine light started blinking and my van starts shuttering very hard and won’t go over 45 on my way home. Called this guy and he told me to bring it back the next day and he’d look at it. Brought it back the next day and he said he’d look at it but it’d cost $130 just to look at it. I told him my van didn’t have any engine problems when I brought it in and he told me about a story about how one time he took his truck to a mechanic and the transmission dropped the same day, “sometimes that happens”. I took my van up the road to autozone and they plugged my van into their computer and said it needed spark plugs. I bought spark plugs brought them back here to get installed and he charged me $170 for the installation of spark plugs. My van still still won’t go over 45 and shutters very badly at times. I took my van in for the rear brakes, now I’m down $1000, my van doesn’t run right, there’s exhaust leaking into the cab and my doors randomly lock and unlock while I drive. Summary: I wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone because they obviously aren’t the best mechanics and when they screw up they’re going to try and milk more money out of you instead of taking accountability and fixing their own mistakes.

My sister was being manipulated that her valve cover gasket leak on her car was a lot worse than it was and that it needed service immediately at a local Firestone Complete Auto Care. I looked on google and called Charlie's (as their rating was great on google) to see if they could fix her vehicle and to get a 2nd opinion on the leak. Kenny told me my sister could just bring the car in and he would just let her know if it would make it back to Portland or if it was indeed a "major immediate" repair. My sister stopped by and in 5 minutes the crew at Charlie's told her that her oil leak was minor and that she could monitor the oil while driving back to Portland and that she could take care of the leak when back home. They also checked up on her other car fluids free of charge. I am impressed by their honesty & integrity to inspect the car, not knowing if they would be getting any "business." It is rare these days for auto repair shops to have the character that these guys have. If I am in Vegas, I will definitely bring my vehicle here! Thanks!

I've taken my car to Charlie's twice since I moved to Vegas and both times they took care of the problems in a very timely manner and I was on my way. TODAY (after recently being given a police warning that my brake lights weren't working) I checked the fuse and it was fine, so I took it into Charlie's for the repair. Ken listened to me and said that I might save myself some money by checking both bulbs. He said if that's not the problem, bring it back in. Sure enough both bulbs had burned out! So for about $7.00 for two bulbs from O'Reilly's my break lights are fine. I can do some repairs, but I don't know anything about auto electrical systems. Charlie's could have taken my car in and charged me hundreds and I wouldn't have known the difference. Thanks to Ken and Charlie's! GREAT SERVICE!

I came into this shop for some advice on my 1999 SAAB because I knew it was in need of several repairs. I hate repair shops, because so many try to scam you out of money, but it didn't feel that way from the first moment I stepped in the door. Long story short: They diagnosed several issues that were wrong and physically showed me every single one of them instead of just stating it and me taking their word for it. The staff was great from owner down to the technicians with their knowledge, customer service, and quality of work. Sam and Chris were the two I mostly worked with, but really enjoyed interacting with the whole staff which is something I have never said about a car repair shop. I will be returning in the very near future for all my repair needs.

Sam goes over and beyond to help and keep you informed. I was in Las Vegas to help my sister who had just lost her husband in death. One of the things to do was repair her car that kept over heating. On the way she got lost and then over heated, Sam went and found her and towed her in, then didn't even charge us. He did the repairs as needed and kept me informed before doing anything, and as a women not knowing a lot about cars he explained everything he had to do. Later down the line her car starter went out and he went and got the car fixed it and then drove it to her house for her. I highly recommend this shop. Thanks Sam and Lenny

Was in Vegas On a business trip when my air conditioning went out I stopped by there and they told me it was everything under the Sun my compressor my condenser and everything else they wanted me to keep my truck there and charge me a $1000 saying they have to take my whole front in depart to fix it I have them recharge the free on and after I got home had it looked at by a trust worthy mechanic to find out it was a plug Literally a $20 fix that they wanted a $1000 for $20 later in my truck is running like it's never how to issue blows cold air I'm so glad I didn't let them scammer me out of a $1000

We were on vacation in Vegas, and our truck broke down as we were headed home. I was referred to Charlie’s Auto Service by another transmission shop that wasn’t able to help us. I called Charlie at 2 p.m. and explained our situation. He told us to come on over, put a rush on our parts, and fixed the problem to get us back on the road before he closed up his shop. We couldn’t be more grateful for his honesty with our repairs and his willingness to do it for us the right way-right away. If you live in Vegas or are ever stuck like we were, call Charlie! Great service provided! I went in to adjust my suspension and they took care of me! Definitely coming back for future services! --Went back again to get my driveshaft installed and did a phenomenal job! 7/7/2020 Got my breaks and rotors replaced along with an oil change.. took a little long but definitely satisfied with their services. Bought them breakfast as well as they are working hard during this pandemic. I'll be back for sure! 5/14/2021 Once again they took care of me- had spark plugs changed and burped my cooling .. DONT DO IT!! Yes they seem friendly, likable even BUT THAT IS ALL TO GET YOU COMFORTABLE then they tell you something wrong with your car so you get it fixed, you think, then when the same thing goes wrong you bring the car back & they tell you it’s something else, so you get that fixed(you think) then the same thing breaks down & they try to tell you it your fault! HOW? You just supposedly fixed this (3)days ago how now do I need something else? CROOKS ALL OF EM’ Smiling in your face but plotting on how they can get more money. PERIOD!!!

I am new in town and so I desperately needed a good repair shop that wasn't going to take me for a ride. I got a couple estimates to fix my car kept getting told I needed to replace a bunch of stuff. And it was going to take multiple hours to fix. I took it over to Charlies and Sam the owner told me straight up what needed to be done. Only my wheel hub needed to be replaced and my brake rotors turned. 2 hours and I was out of there and for about 500 less than what the other guys wanted to charge me. These people have my business for life.

I’m from out of state Minnesota, I noticed that my car wasn’t acting correctly, so i was recommended to this shop and talk about going above and beyond. Now days it’s very hard to find an honest mechanic shop to trust in this untrustworthy world. A shop like this is what you hope to have found when you’re at a mechanic shop because you’re at their mercy, but these guys are not only friendly but honest and very fair on their pricing and their customer service/care, I would highly recommend this shop to everyone. I usually have good experience with these guys but this time I was very unhappy... they gave me a price on a new head for my truck for $1,000 and they said if they can fix it it it only be three or four hundred... so after they got done working on it I paid the money and they tell me that they didn't put a new head on it they fixed it and i had to pay 1200...i went in to talk to them about it and sam said take me to court...oh and when i got my truck back there is now an exhaust leak on the other side...very poor customer service...

5 stars for my first visit here. I work on one of my cars and needed a lower ball joint pressed out/in. So I brought the parts that I removed from my car along with the parts I needed put in. Sammy quoted me a very fair price. An hour later I picked up my parts, complete and done perfectly. I'm very Leary of car shops and for good reason. I will have my vehicles serviced here for oil and such and will post again. Good customer service and courtesy was my experience. I would add the shop came recommended by a friend. So far so good.

Sam and Jackie run the most honest car repair facility in the city. Sam nursed my 91 Camaro alo g for years. I gad a steering proble that was quoted at $1,000 for a new rack. He put it on th lift tightened 2 bolts and charged me $20 . Our 07 Acadia had a bad cylinder that he fixed for half the price of the dealer. My 05 thunderbird had a bad radiator that he replaced saving hundreds of $. Sam has the most up to date diagnostics plus his brain is even better at determiningwhats wrong. He looks for ways to save money...

Been coming here for years, I dont bring any of my vehicles anywhere else but to Charlies. All my repairs done here were always sucessful and done in a timely manner. Now at days It's hard to find a mechanic shop that is honest and won't overcharge when looking at your vehicle. Very professional, very friendly and well experienced in automotive knowledge and most important very, very fair in price. Highly, highly recommend to everyone looking for good friendly service and the best mechanics. 10 stars all across!!

My A/C went out (it's the middle of the summer) so I went there. First they tell me there is no refrigerant in the system and I have a leak and it would cost 180 to fix. After a second check they tell me my compressor is bad also all of a sudden and it would cost 830 to fix it all. The whole time they were not explaining any details just "we'll fix it". Went to another shop. Turns out there was no leak and it was just the compressor. Cost me a total of 400 with a decent new compressor. Beware this place.

This place is a scam 100% took my vehicle there no check engine light on leave with the check engine light on my car was shaking and jittering they were acting like it was my fault after the third time of my vehicle being just trashed when I left that third time was a charm for me had my friend send me to his mechanic wow somebody loosen three spark plugs they were shaking around in there unplugged different things terrible do not let them take advantage of you they will they are liars.

They told me that my a/c pressure switch was melted and that they had to get that fixed and then put freon in it before they could check the rest of the a/c system like the compressor. And for just that it would "somewhere in the $200 range ($70 for the pressure switch, and then $110 to add the freon. Plus, labor which fees which are $75 and a minimum of $45. I called my dad and he said to just bring it home for now and we will take it to this other shop and get a 2nd opinion.

This auto mechanic place is awesome!!!! The People are really friendly and understanding...... Came in from outta town and my AC had stopped working.... me being from Colorado and coming into Las Vegas weather YES!!!! AC is a necessity and a must need in this Las Vegas heat.....very very satisfied with the performance of this crew! Got a lean code on an older Mazda Protege 5. The open estimate went from cheap to gigantic, if it needed both O2 sensors replaced. They called back within an hour and said we fixed it. Turns the plastic intake pipe had a small crack behind the MAF box, causing the lean code. They wrapped it in black duct tape (which they had to go and buy) and didn't charge me a dime. They wouldn't even let me pay for the tape. THIS is true, honest mechanic, service.

I sent my 1964 Dodge pick-up, (which I had inherited from my fathe) to Charlies Auto to have the transmission repaired. He repaired the hood (which I thought was beyond repair) ,replaced the fuel system, ( which was destroyed by running modern oxygenated fuel in a car designed for gasoline), replaced the ignition system, repaired the cooling system, and overhauled the transmission for less than I thought it would cost to overhaul the transmission.

Not to be trusted. I had an appointment to do a compression check on my engine. A test that any professional shop can do in under 30 minutes. I called 4 hours later to get an update. I was blankly told they hadn't done anything yet and were "getting started now". An hour later I showed up in person to see what was happening. The car was not being worked on and had not even moved from where I left it at 8 am in the morning. I asked for my keys.

Best place in Las Vegas to bring your vehicle. The staff is polite and explains in detail everything they need to do, and also when you pay you get a complete print out of all the work done and any warranties. Sam and his wife are beyond wonderful people, john and the other shop boys make you feel important and not just another number in line. I give this shop all the credit they deserve because they are honest and hard working. thanks guys.

Honestly this is the best auto shop I have been to in Las Vegas everybody from Sammie the receptionist and the mechanics we pleasant. I had to get my catalyst converter replaced. Every where else told me 250 to 300 just for the labor Sammie quoted me 130 if I got the part I couldn’t be anymore satisfied. Thank you guys so much appreciate all that you do. And for being fare oh and my side rear view mirror was broke Sammie fixed it no problem.

Was referred to this shop by a family member.Took my car in since my fuel pump was leaking gas. Brought my car in around 9 am and was called about 2:30 pm to let me know my car was ready for pick up. This shop did all needed work for about 100 dollars less then the dealership and Pep-boys were asking for. Was brought the old pump and showed were the old pump was leaking and answered all my questions. Will go back for sure!! :-)

Iwent here to get my timing belt replace all i needed was a labor cost because i have all the parts need for the job and decided to try this shop since so many speak so highly of this shop. I disagree completely they quoted me at almost $400 for the job and i explained i had all the parts needed but still the price was high and there guy who give the estimates is strict and had some what of an attitute

They were friendly, & professional. I called, asked them about checking for a exhaust leak & catalytic converter issues, Charlie listened to my issues, told me he'd check it out for free & got me right in. Diagnosed car very quickly , gave me a price quote for parts & labor , which was very affordable & had my car up on lift, and fixed in less than 90 mins. Very satisfied with the services there!

it sure is nice to know that there still a neighborhood shop that you can come to and know that your not going to get ripped off my car needed 2 fuses I took it to a prior shop and they told me it would be $500 dollars a friend suggested I go see Charlie so I drop off my car about an hour later I got a call saying my car needed 2 fuses . and cost$5 dollars to fix.thank you charlies import

They've been lying to my wife and overcharging her on little fixes for years. These past few months been goin' with her and now they've been denying selling her new parts and installing old, used, or THE SAME part just cleaned. The lot, the business, the building isn't well kept. They swindle women drivers. They accuse you of switching the parts yourselves and have the worst attitudes.

Don't waste your time and money. I had them swap a transmission in that I supplied; they did not offer to give the extra jug of transmission fluid I supplied back, they did not fully tighten the transmission mount so it is now clunking around, they left hoses leaky and not fully tightened and when I got my car back the air conditioner was drained of freon and the fan wouldn't work.

After reading reviews, went here for some custom exhaust work. They bought me an Arizona Sweet Tea while I watched them work haha. Nice place, I'll be back there for future needs. NOTE: If you use a mobile navigation app - either Apple or Google Maps - they both say turn to the wrong side of the street. If you are going West on Charleston, it's on the right, not the left.

Charlie's replaced my alternator, which had previously been diagnosed as bad by AutoZone.The mechanic was honest, didn't try to add on an unnecessary repairs and the work was done quickly. Pricing was very reasonable, the costs of the parts were comparable to what I had been quoted at AutoZone, with a very small markup. I would use this shop for my next auto service.

I wish I could give a lower review. These people put the wrong part on my car. I called the shop and told them about it and they said if I could bring my car to them (I can't it's no longer running) they'll take a look at it. Two weeks after Charlie's (Fixed) my car I'm out another$700 to get it done correctly. Horrible customer service and negligent mechanics

I had an awesome experience at Charlie's. I lost a transmission in Overton on a road trip. I barely made it to Vegas. I spent nearly a whole day calling people before I got an honest and fair price from this garage. Everyone gave me a 4 to 5 day turn around time. This place told me 1 to 2 days. I got my truck back in a day and a half! Thank you!

I don't write many reviews, but felt I really needed to with this place. Our car's alternator died outside of Vegas. Charlie’s got me in that morning and had the entire job done in like two hours! The owner even lent me his car to drive back to the casino hotel until the job was done. Outstanding service, very impressed! Thanks Charlie’s!

Best deals in Las Vegas I have used this mechanic twice now and both times I have been extremely satisfied. Pepboys wanted to charge almost $400 for a tune up when i had all the parts and a 5 hour wait. Charlies did it for $130 and half the time. No run arounds, great customer service with quite a bit of humor. I highly recommend.

These guys do it all. They help me with alot. If something they do don't make me please when they done with my cars. They always make it right, so that I am a happy customer. This shop is honestly the place to go. Been in Las Vegas for 4 years and I have had the hardest time finding an honest mechanic. He went over all my options and found a used part that saved me about $1,000. They have definitely earned my business and I will definitely recommend them.

We had a leaking oil pan gasket. Stopped in late afternoon and Kenny said to be there at 7:50 the next morning. We returned and they were finished by 9:30. Excellent turn-around time and nice to deal with. Saved us as we were travelling through and needed to move on.

I took my car to Just Brakes to check on my brakes and they told me my brakes were shot and it would cost $613 to repair them. Then I took my car to Charlies Imports and they fixed them for $180. These guys are great and deserve recognition for a job well done.
