Super soft buns! Not too sweet and nice and creamy. Finally had the chance to try cheese baker a little while back and was not disappointed! The original cheese bun was so perfectly done. The bread was soft and even after biting would just bounce back to its tall height! The dragonfruit bun was what I was looking forward to! It did have dragonfruit taste, but only wish is that it was stronger in flavour! But the bread, SOFT AGAIN! The puffs had that nice craquelin top and the cream was nice and smooth! With the lychee, you get that super strong lychee flavour, which was really nice! For the puffs, not sure about the cheesy cream with the puff, but nonetheless, still tasty! And textures were all on point! If you’re looking for a certain texture on the cream, they put in a leaflet with instructions on how to get the cream to the consistency you like, whether putting in the fridge or warming in the microwave! That was a really nice touch! Service was nice and quick and no fuss ordering too, which is always a plus! Great job overall! Seasonal drinks and great cheesecake desserts! The lychee cream cheese puff was slightly smaller than the palm of my hand. Possibly 2.5- inches in diameter. Its a giant cream puff but with a uniquely light flavored cream cheese filling. The pastry is slightly flaky, however the crusted top actually tastes like the lychee flavour as well! There were pieces of lychee jelly in the cream cheese filling and overall a very tasty snack. Its not overly sweet and is well balanced in flavour. The mango hibiscus tea was quite sweet. The mango slices in the tea tastes like rehydrated dried mango slices that are packaged in grocery stores. There is no washroom or anywhere to sit and eat, so you have to take it to go. I arrived late at around 8 and most of the pastries were sold out along with their milk tea drink. The people are nice and it took under 5 minutes to have everything ready.

This was so good. I got the durian cheese bun and was not disappointed, they put actual durian fruit inside! The bread was SO fluffy and had that delicious chewy quality after you bite in. The cheesiness is like a whipped cream cheese that has been flawlessly mixed in with the bread dough, it’s a baking miracle honestly. The shop is small and is for takeout only so drop by, pick up some delicious bread, and eat it in the comfort of your own home. I will definitely be going back to try more flavours!!

I got the original cheese bun. The cheese part tasted really really good! It was tart, sweet and gooey! Unfortunately the bun part was disappointing. I expected it to be softer based on the presentation but it ended up being a lot more dense. It’s pretty pricey ($6) but they give you a pretty big bun and the price is comparable to other cheese-based desserts (ie. cheese tarts).

Very interesting drinks and food! A very small place that's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. The drink menu is very limited but that's ok because every drink is delicious and unique. This is not your traditional Chinese drink place. There are cakes and baked goods as well. There is a Groupon for this place with a huge discount so try there first!

The menu is limited but if you are looking for a delicious bite of soft cheesy garlic or chocolate bread, this should be the place of your choice. Located close to Bloor-Yonge, this quaint store provides cheese breads and other items. The display shelf may need some uplifting but the cheesy breads surely would not disappoint.

Very light and fluffy sweet cheese bread. I have tried both the original and the chocolate but prefer the chocolate. The original had a tart yogurt flavour whereas the chocolate had a more subtle tartness (although milk chocolate flavour the quality of chocolate used was a not bad). Will definiately visit again.

Delicious creamy buns. There are actually heating instructions on the flyer I didn’t notice. Next time I’ll try to warm them up! Big portion size, so 1 bun per person is more than enough. Cheese cream is a little bit heavy so better to eat the buns as a separate meal.

It's basically a brioche bread filled with soft cheesy fillings. The classic one has a pleasent sweet tangy filling. A bit pricy for what it is, but I guess the pretty package drives up the price. Good but not unforgettable. Try it once or if you're in the vicinity.

Tried everything. The Austrian cheese bun and lychee puff is my favorite. Dragon fruit (triangle pineapple) bun is interesting because it had mochi and chunky paste filling inside. Soy milk volcano bun is also okay. It's whipped cream mixed with soy bean powder.

Extremely disappointed!! They don’t even have a nicer package just the plastic bag like that. I bought three flavours and they all tasted the same and they were sour too which is weird because I ate them right away so they shouldn’t turned bad yet.

The buns here are definitely pricey. A single original cheese bun will cost $6.20+tax, which makes it a bit of a splurge if you're looking for dessert or just a snack. However, it is absolutely worth it, and I would highly recommend

I got the original Signature Austrian Cheese Bun. The cream cheese tasted great and the bun gets better the more you bite into it. Although I was expecting a much softer bun, it still worked quite well.

Love the cheese buns. Very fresh, very soft with generous amount of cream cheese! The Portugal egg tarts are warm and great for the winter. One of my favorite places in downtown for desserts! …

Quite a delicate treat. Fluffy bread with a creamy cheese. Tried the signature and the chocolate ones, the dough tasted pretty much the same but the cream was a nice different addition.

Price is too high for a single bun even though the size of bun is quit big and it will be better if they put some more cream on it cause some part is too doughy and little bit dry.

  • Max Park

Bit pricey but worth the money for occasional visits. Really delicious cheese bun. Might be a bit too creamy and cheesy for some but those who like cheese buns, this is the best!

  • Ha Pham

Very tasty, will definitely go back to try all the different kinds. If you went by on the first day of opening, you get a VIP card which gives you 20% for the rest of the year.

I remember this store had been closed for a while because they didn’t pass food safty check and I decided to give them one more chance. Then I found hair in the cream cheese.

  • Petite chef

The display of the buns definitely catches your attention to enter the store. The menu is quite limited and serves mostly buns with flavored cream cheese filling.

  • Grace Tai

A bit overpriced but it’s the only place in town for these yummy cheese buns. I tried the original and sweet yam flavor. I really like the yam flavor one!

  • Anjali

The volcano soy bun is the absolute best, it had a light toasty flavour, with a soft and delicate cream inside. I definitely get this on a regular

  • Alpha Pokharel

The signature cheese buns do taste good but they are not worth the money we pay for it. 7.8 (tax included) for a cheese bun is too much.

  • YuenTin Cheung

Toronto quality it is good but if HK quantity is it not good. The bread is too hard , the cream is okay. Just sold out too often

  • mm

Super tasty cheese buns. Only go on cheat days. Don't count calories and don't look back! Trust me, or else you'll never leave.

  • Ben Cherian

This is an insane dessert oasis. Puffy pastry and cream creations coiffed for a stunning visual and sensory experience.

  • ReviewbyV

Delicious and soft buns with a sweet cheesey filling! I got the signature cheese bun and the durian bun.

  • Andrew A

It seemed to me that the price is a bit high. But I recommend to try these cheese buns at least once.

  • Jeffrey Adaya

Oh my gosh!!! The Signature Cheesecake Bun is to die for. Hidden Jewel. I wish you have dine-in.
