I attended Tunstall Square (Donvale) Chemist Warehouse 11/10/20 at 4pm and the Security guard came right up to me (within 30 cms) to take my temperature. I told him to back off and get 1.5 meters away and he refused and told me to leave! Then a staff member took the temperature device and took my temperature from 1.5 meters. She apologized for the guard and said he was badly trained and not an employee. The entry is small and cramped full of advertising POS and other items which should be removed, with people coming in and out it is impossible to be 1.5 metres and every store needs to be reorganised to ensure that all staff and customers are kept 1.5 metres. If they want to make it a condition of entry to have your temperature taken then it needs to be within the DHHS guidelines. Hospitals take your temperature from 1.5 metres it is not satisfactory to risk my health by breaking the DHHS guidelines. This is a COVID disaster waiting to happen, The store was packed full of customers. I wish to lay a formal complaint against Chemist Warehouse breaching the current guidelines that everyone needs to me 1.5 metres from each other.
Growing up within a less developed country, illness was often a source of many troubles for my poor family. High quality medication was scarce and often virtually impossible to buy consistently within our local community. Fast forward to today, as someone with much better circumstances here now in Australia, I have promised myself not to forget my troubled childhood, and the services at this Chemist Warehouse has become a regular reminder of the contrast in such stages of my life. Being met with incredible service from the staff, as well as the ease of access to the store, I often find myself pondering how different my family's life would have been if such services were around when I was little. While the circumstances during COVID have brought back some of my childhood hardships, the experiences of coming to this Chemist Warehouse is but a small part of my life yet the hospitality has fuelled my motivation to carry forward.
Chemists at this chemist warehouse regularly overstep their bounds and refuse to dispense scripts for arbitrary reasons. On the most recent occasion they talked to both me, the person the scripts were for, and the doctor who wrote the prescription over the phone, and still decided to refuse to dispense medication. The chemists here seem to think they outrank multiple doctors and specialists, and that they can refuse to dispense medication based on their own personal beliefs rather than based on possible drug interactions. If you think someone should be on a different medication you can recommend the patient talks to their doctor about it, but refusing to dispense a medication someone needs is cruel and medically negligent. Go to literally any other chemist and you'll probably find chemists that are at least competent, unlike the incompetent, rude, and negligent staff at this chemist warehouse.
This is my local chemist and I will not return anytime soon for any medication as the young girl who thinks she is some experienced doctor. She wouldn't hand over NON prescription eye drops or cream because SHE and supposedly and the "Chemist" on duty said it wasn't needed. YET I walk across the road and I'm served with respect and understanding to my situation and was given the medicine I NEEDED which they had no problem explaining how I need to apply the medicine to my EYE (WHICH CAN'T BE REPLACED IF ITS LEFT FOR TOO LONG ) This is the 2nd time its happened in a row and worst part of all is, it was my wife and she even was given a PRESCRIPTION for the same product and this "PERSON" decided that she didn't need it and refused to fill the script. YOU ARE NOT A DOCTOR. YOU HAVE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. YOU NEED TO TREAT PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE SICK. IF NOT, GET OUT
I put all my prescription through there Chemiswarehouse App because they advertise it as a way of getting your prescriptions quicker. The problem is not the App , its when you go to pick up the prescription the next day, your left waiting , just to pick up a script . It takes a staff member less than a minute to locate my dispensed prescription on the shelf & pass it to me. If they dont improve on their service , Im going elsewhere. All they need to do it , put a sign up , "dispensed prescriptions via App" on one side of the counter and on the other side of the counter , put , "dispensed prescriptions in store " , they can filter out the customers that are there to pick up a dispensed prescription via there App , and leave .. Grrrr
If I could give zero I would. This has to be the worst chemist for waiting to get prescriptions filled. A normal prescription can take up to half an hour before it is ready. My latest experience was to get a special prescription for cream made up, first of all they didn’t have all of the ingredients so I left the script with them and went back 4 days later and was told that they now had all the ingredients but were too busy to make it up. Needless to say I asked for my script back and went elsewhere and had it made within half an hour. I was a regular at this chemist spending quite a substantial amount each month but after this experience I won’t be back there in a hurry.
Probably the single worst pharmacy in Australia, mainly a bunch of girls who dont care about customers and just talk to each other, this includes the pharmacist JEN and one of the ladies on the floor think her name was Maryam. Been here a couple of times, never again.. its been like this for a while (unreasonably long wait times for scripts and payment at tills, rude female staff who just chat with each other) so clearly upper management don't care Lot of OHS hazards present too with ladders, boxes and even scissors lying around in the middle of aisles Dont bother, try another pharmacy all together
GO TO RINGWOOD CHEMIST WAREHOUSE. I recently went to Tunstall Square to purchase some off the shelf medicine. It was on special so I thought why not save and buy 3 of the same product. The person at the register said you can not purchase 3 only 1 because it is their policy!! I didn't ask questions so I went to RINWOOD CHEMIST WAREHOUSE and I purchased FOUR of the same product and was asked no questions when I paid. If you would like to purchase more than one item of the same product go to the RINGWOOD store. Staff are more friendlier and you don't get harassed at the register.
This chemist warehouse is the slowest ever. I do my tablets throught the app then go pick them up after I receive text. Go get them and there not done say I got a text to say there ready and they just have excuse after excuse even when you show them the text they still have excuses. The best excuse is we are busy and the shop is empty and they are just standing around talking. Got all my scipts from there let's hope the next chemist ware house is better than Donvale. This is the worst chemist warehouse ever
Lined up for ages, poor little kid at the register, was the only one at the till. Rings bell, guy comes up, not to jump on, goes to help the person asking for perfume, who just walked in, while the other two girls use colourful language down the aisle. Wasn’t the only customer waiting to pay, while workers just stood down the aisle. What a joke. Yeah you have jobs to do, but whats two minutes out of that to push customers through. Felt so sorry for the kid on the register. Do better.
This used to be quite a small store, like the one further west on Doncaster Road. Now enlarged substantially, one of the largest Chemist Warehouses I've been in. Brightly lit, knowledgeable, (mostly), staff, clear price labels with large labels that are easier to read with my dodgy eyes. Very competitive pricing. Only issue, like all Chemist Warehouses, is the aisles are very narrow, and now, with social distancing, it's tricky to keep apart from others when it's busy.
Pricing on the shelves for some Revoln makeup was incorrect. Chemist warehouse refused to honor the shelf price. I then showed the priceline catalogue on my phone showing that Revlon and Rimmel was all 40% off, and asked for a price match. Yes...but I was supposed to look up the price for every product I was buying. I went to priceline and got the same purchases for $45 instead of $58 at chemist warehouse. Such poor service. I won't be going there again.
This is one chemist warehouse that isn't crazy busy all the time, however scripts still take quite a while to be filled. I can never find anything in there and seem to be wandering around aimlessly looking for things! Like most chemist warehouse stores there isn't anyone around to ask. Staff are friendly and helpful - when you do find them! This CW is also smaller than others I've been to but there is another one close by (Doncaster) that is bigger.
Went to this store for buying a jar of cream today. Found some dirt on its package box and someone opened & used the cream. Asked staff to get a new one, but she told me that one was the last one and wanted me to take it. Are you serious??? It is hygiene problem, ok!!! That cream costs around $40 and now we still have covid. I can't see anything they are protecting their customers.
Always had a good experience, however I purchased a $5 product & it was faulty. They told me to bring the item back for a replacement. After returning it they said they had to contact the manufacturer. No return phone calls & totally unprofessional service.Im still waiting for a refund. I don’t recommend this store to anyone.Very disappointing. Go elsewhere.
Good chemist, clean and well stocked. However when you are not well and have to wait (sometimes a long time if busy) for a script you really just want to sit down There are 2 chairs and thats not good enough. If they decluttered all their boxes and put in some more chair for the inevitable wait that would be so much better.
Takes forever for prescriptions to be ready. Waited almost half hour for two medications! They give you a buzz to hold so when your medications are ready to go and grab it. Mine never buzzed! The security guy was very kind and helpful he started looking for my medications to see if it’s ready to give me so I can leave.
Unfriendly and arrogant pharmacists I have seen in any chemist warehouse I been to. Multiple occasions, they made us to wait in the prescription counter for at least 30 minutes. I would recommend you to go here only if you have an hour to spend. On the bright side, quite big store and store assistants are good.
Visited at 8am on 23rd of Dec- I have no idea how the young bloke at the counter is hired. Couldn’t care less and super unfriendly attitude. When I head to the counter, not even a hello, scanned my items, push it to me and silence. Not expecting a conversation, just basic human decency.
The pharmacist called Jenn was so rude and unprofessional. She walked away when I still asked questions. But there was no other customers waiting. Obviously she needed go back and continue to chat her colleagues about gossips rather than provide customer services at her work time !!
My experience was very positive. Scarce COVID anti vitals for a near 95 year old put aside immediately after a phone call and then dispensed quickly too so I could get back quickly to the patient. All done so efficiently and politely. Brilliant service from this store today. Bravo
We went here just because it was on the way home for us. There is another Chemist Warehouse about 2km away and much better in terms of shop condition and staff friendliness. Parking here is not the best as it is very crowded from visitors.
The qualified staff at Donvale are amazing I took a medication of the shelf and the chemist ran after me and said I could not take it with the prescribed one I was using. This kind of care and assistance is rare and much appreciated.
Terrible wait time for antibiotic. It took 30 min though I was advised it’d be 15 when I handed the prescription. The worst of all is the staff don’t care… they claim to be busy. Never again at this pharmacy.
Was in the store today and was served by Manal a beauty specialist. She assisted me a concealer for my face and she was excellent. She was very helpful, patient and had extensive knowledge of the products.
my mans at the front was super chill helped me find my antihistamines and even helped me sample perfumes recommended me some axe bodyspray. overall good service only complaint was wait time super busy
The young worker on Wednesday night was an exceptional worker, His service was absolutely phenomenal and his language was respectful. He did his absolute best and helped locate all my products.
Time management needs improvement. An elderly gentleman was trying to explain this at the service desk who was met with rudeness. Maybe hire an extra pharmacist to assist during busier hours?
The security tells us it’s closing when the advertised time says 10 pm. It’s 8pm only. He’s very rude too, don’t know where the attitude came from. Guess all the zero star review make sense.
Appalling service. I appreciate increased workloads and complexity associated with COVID, but I'm not sure how much longer they can use that excuse to simply cover up inept customer service.
20 minute wait for non-prescription behind the counter medication. Always significant wait time. Not sure why this particular chemist warehouse is always so much slower than others.
Terrible customer service! Rude, disrespectful and very unprofessional staff! Just waste of time and money! I won’t be going there ever again and wouldn’t recommend anyone.
The team are courteous and informative. Empathetic with focus on the best service. Thank you for looking after me through the last 2 years. You guys are amazing.
The staff are so rude and disrespectful, would not visit again. Just poped by to buy some hygiene products and were treated as if we were burdening them.
They need more staff in this store. It took me 45 mins from walking into the store to departure to get 1 prescription filled. Incredibly slow service.
Sorry if I was an interruption to the chit chat between the 2 young ladies at the check out. 7 pm 14/12/22. I won’t come back and disturb you again.
Just like every other Chemist Warehouse, this one is a larger one, but like the others, the aisles are quite narrow and its very cramped in there.
Discounted medicines, a range of complimenty heaith products such as vitamin suppliments as well as perfumes. Friendly and helpfull staff.
Great service tonight from a young man Jake who went above & beyond to find an item missing from the shelf. This one is a keeper boss!
If you want your scripts in a timely fashion, don’t visit here. Slower than a wet week, even with minimal people in the shop waiting.
The team members are very friendly and informative. Thank you for offering me a free blood pressure check when I was Terribly ill .
Have been customer here for 5 years and the staff is fab… so helpful they give honest suggestions. Amazing chemist
Slow and rude staffs. Take 35 minutes for a prescription of 2 sheets of pills. Never go back to chemist warehouse.
Pharmacist is clearly upset he's not a doctor. Go somewhere else and avoid the poor service and bad attitude.
I ordered meds and 4 hours later, at 9.35pm I got sms to pick up. This happened twice. Will never go again
Took around 15 minutes to get a pack of prescription Nurofen when it was dead quiet. Go somewhere else.
Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. However the female manager showed a real attitude to us.
Always high stock levels of everything I need, at unbeatable prices, with excellent trading hours!
Go there to get a statutory declaration signed, told me they are busy, go find another pharmacy
I had a long flight and need some medicine to help me in the flight. they were very helpful.
Shocking service if you require prescription medicines. The wait time is around 40 minutes.
They are soo slow. I only come here because they won't give me my prescription back.
Very bad time management, disorder, wait too long to get med, waited for 50min!!
Very bad service. They sell used products and lie about it. Not happy at all!!!
I believe this is the biggest store in the city of Whitehorse , very impressed.
Great bargains and now even bigger store enhancing your shopping experience
25 minute wait for what is a fairly standard script item is very poor.....
Awesome service and never had any issues with finding any products I need
Good selection of items. Pharmacists are very informative and helpful.
Always find what I need with the help of lovely store assistants
Service is below standard, staff are untrained 16 year olds.
Just the regular chemist warehouse. Ample parking though
Recently expanded store offers a great variety of goods.
A very busy chemist, always long wait for prescriptions
Temp check plus hand sanitizer. Perfect response …
A chemist who sells expired Vitmans?!? Not good at all!
