As a glamping site it's very good, as a theme park it's good but as a glamping and theme park package it needs improving. Going as a family we saw the glamping site next door to the theme park as a great place to rest the kids when they got tired before going back for some more action. However, despite there being a gate available, there is no normal direct access between the two areas. If you want to leave the park, you have to leave via the main gate, go round to the glamping entrance and back in. When you want to return you need to leave the glamping entrance and go back to queue at one of the main gates. There is a gate which could take you through to the park but it is kept locked as no one on the glamping site can perform bag checks... It may not seem a big issue but when you are there with small kids who just need to go for a nap or some dry clothes it is. Then there is the dining options. When you check it you are told that you can eat at the Explorer Outpost (via the normally closed gate) or at either of the resort hotels. This is true but its not as easy as it sounds. We tried to eat at one of the hotels on our first night but with the rear gates to the park shut the only way to get there was out the main gate and round the external perimeter. If you finished eating after the park had shut then you couldnt short cut through the park but would have a very long walk around half the external perimeter of the whole park. So not impossible, but not preferred and not really that well integrated. (provide a shuttle bus maybe?...) Instead we decided to just go back to the Explorer Outpost to eat which is about 50m from our tent. The park was closing by this time and we entered the Outpost area the security staff told us that we had to leave. Even though we were glamping and the food area about to open we had to walk the other way, back out the entrance, round to the glamping entrance and then back through the gate which is normally shut only to end up 20m from where we started. Websites and reviews had made out that the Explorer Outpost was a bit of a restaurant but all that was available were two food vans. One selling burgers and the other katsu curry with the only kids option available being a cheeseburger. Thankfully Uber Eats delivered there and most of the other campers used them too. The next day the Outpost was open for a continental breakfast and I have to say it was good. Also the tents were nice, beds comfy and toilets clean. After breakfast everyone had to return to the glamping area to return to the park via the main gates again. Letting us stay inside the park or have some security to check our bags would have been far too easy. The rides were good but as the morning went on my kids tired, we all got a bit wet and we decided to go back to our tent for a break before more rides in the afternoon. As we were very wet we phoned a number on the glamping gate and were allowed back through to the glamping area (pretty much on a one time basis) and told that we couldn't go back through the same gate to get back to the park. We rested, had a snack, left the glamping site, walked round to the main entrance, queued again and went back for more rides. About mid afternoon my son was tired again and off we went out the main gate etc. and back to the tent. By that time we were pretty fed up with the hassle of it all and instead of going back to the park in the late afternoon we just packed up and left a night early. It may not sound a big deal but having no access between the two sites really did make the whole experience a lot more difficult. There was no perk and we had the same access as if we stayed in any other local hotel. If the weather turned bad there was no quick way to the refuge of your tent. I'm not saying there needs to be a permanent security team there but by allowing the gate to be used (both ways) for selected short periods then our stay would have been much easier. With the poor range of food at the Outpost and lack of direct access to the park I do not recommend staying here.

After staying at one of the chessington hotels last year we thought we would try glamping there. After driving 60 odd miles we attempted to find the apparently sign posted North car park, couldn't find it so had to drive into the hotel to ask directions. When we found it we realised we should have bought a 4x4 vechile to get us up the rough road and across the pot holed field. Next job was to find where to book in, we could see a large gate that looked like a delivery entrance with a glamping sign above and only realised it was the entrance when a member of the public overheard us and confirmed it. We went in, no one on the desk just a cleaner working in the tents and he didn't know where anyone was. While me and our daughter wandered around looking for someone my wife was on the phone, after a few calls we were given a couple of numbers to call, one was for the phone we were stood next to in reception, we also noticed all the new customers details were left on the desk, names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses so security was non existent, we were told to go back across the field/car park to the Go Ape reception who then us to go back across the field and to enter the theme park. When we finally got into our tent it wasn't too bad. I needed the toilet, which although not portaloos they were just the sort of mobile toilets and showers units you would see at a country show. The urinal trough was blocked and over flowing but was due to be fixed and it was. The soap dispensers were empty and the 10p size piece of soap was hard to get hold of. Time spent in the park was fine. Food for the glampers was served in a dingey marquee, the food choice was limited and at best warm, maybe its time for them to invest in decent heat lamps. Come the evening our daughter enjoyed playing search for the plastic badge with the staff and other children although the film show did not happen. At 3am I needed a pee, it's an age thing, it's at this time I find out my toilet of choice had no lighting but I muddled through. Breakfast was much the same quality but this time we had the joy of eating it in the marquee which was now cold and damp. Checking out, we knew we were entitled to free parking and needed a pass out but not knowing exactly how to get it we re entered the glamping site through the gate that adjoins it to the park, got to reception and was asked how we got in, when we said how the lady on reception admitted she'd forgotten to lock the gate and we shouldn't of came through that way. Finally it was time to leave, we got out of ploughed field and through the barrier only to face another extremely rough country lane, must get that 4x4, passed a sign telling us to ignore our sat nav, and ended up on the road to Oxshott. Ultimately it seems to us that glamping at chessington is an experiment to see if its viable, it all seems just thrown together, it really is at the opposite end of hospitality and quality we experienced at the on site hotels.

We stayed here during the summer holidays as a special treat for our 2 children. We had a great day in chessington and then arrived at the glamping site. First impressions was that it looked great. Evening meals are limited to 2 options inside. We tried to venture out and find a restaurant but was difficult as we didn’t know the area and everything was booked up. Toilets and showers were clean. Get to bedtime and the tent is warm and beds are comfy. Unfortunately during our stay, there were smoke alarms going off in different tents (unoccupied ones) from 4am onwards. The staff did nothing to stop the smoke alarms. So my husband and another camper had to locate the sound (they didn’t know if anyone was in the tents) and try to switch the alarm off. As they did, another alarm would go off. This really affected us as we have a child with special needs. Once awake at 4am, my daughter did not go back to sleep. This resulted in having a terrible 2nd day in chessington. Because we had such an early start, the noise, the crowds and busy ness of the theme park completely overwhelmed my daughter. Anyone who has a child with special needs knows how important it is to plan a day or weekend away like this. We did complain but staff were not interested and offered us £40 in “magic money”. Which I declined as we probably wouldn’t be visiting again for a long time. Was a truly disappointing end to our stay. The trip cost over £300 for 1 night away and was ruined because the staff would not turn off the smoke alarms. I’m sure we were not the only family affected.

We did struggle to find this using Google maps as the road signs are very small and difficult to spot. The reception staff were friendly and directed us to our tent. The tents are a good size and the beds are comfy. The landscape needs a lot of work doing to it as it was very uneven in my opinion. The toilets and showers are in trailers. We struggled to have a warm shower in the morning and experienced cold showers on a couple of occasions. The entertainment provided for children seemed to be led well and had a lot of variety. Free tea, coffee and cold water is available for glampers. The atmosphere in Explorers outpost did not exist and when there was only us two in there it was awkward and not very inviting. To improve, it could do with some background themed music. The food in the evenings on offer in Explorers outpost could be improved. There is a limited menu available and the waitresses were very slow. Glampers had to clear their own tables to get a seat as the waitresses hadn't cleared them. Only 1 person was able to deal with customers ordering. It was also quite expensive for what you got. The morning breakfast is a self service buffet. There is a full English on offer as well as some cereal and pastries. One waitress in particular was lovely and made our breakfast experience enjoyable. She was friendly and helpful making sure we had everything we needed. In my opinion, it is very expensive for what is available. We would not stay here again. We feel like we did not get our money's worth.

Our family (group of 7 with kids ranging from 7 up to 15) just spent the weekend glamping at chessington and had a fantastic time, we have stayed in the hotel before but much prefer the relaxed style of glamping where the kids could run around and play games until later in the evening while we sat in chairs just outside the tent) The staff couldn't be more helpful especially when it came to my sons medication which needed to be kept in a fridge until we were able to check in (we brought our own electric chiller for in the tent) and from when we checked out until we left this afternoon. Alex and Chloe (i think were their names) were very informative, kind and helpful and went above and beyond (and they were really funny but we are still waiting for our 28 burgers ;-)). The only criticism i have is that we didn't get the early entry at 9am that was advertised as we were told by the morning staff that after we had eaten breakfast at the outpost and gone back to pack our stuff up in the tent, we had to then leave the camp and come back through security at the main entrance which didnt open until 10am and there was already a large queue there. The tents were spacious and had fans in if its warm and heaters for when it dropped in temperature at night. Overall though I would thoroughly recommend!! The kids cant wait to go back.

This is a great experience for young children up to the age of about 12 I would say. The glamping site is super clean, safe and the staff as well as other glampers are all friendly. Early access to the park is great, although there are not that many rides available for older children. The freedom of the glamping sight is perfect for kids, the tents are well equipped with fans and heaters, somewhere to hang your clothes, and the beds are very comfortable. Shower and toilet facilities are clean and accessible. I would thoroughly recommend. No dogs allowed from what I could see.

The most comfortable beds I've ever slept on apart from my own. The experience of being In a tent with the kids is amazing. The lay out is beautiful. Unfortunately the smell in the tents are awful, stale and sweaty. The toilet blocks smell awful too, they looked clean though. The weather was rubbish so evening entertainment was very minimal and in the restaurant. My only problem was the games were aimed more at the younger child, so my 7 and 10 year olds didn't want to interrupt. Food was amazing I must say. The breakfast is beautiful. Plenty of tea and coffee, juice etc.... You can buy a hot drink from the machine at reception until 10pm at night, but if you buy the mugs you can go and get a hot drink any time. They do need to keep up with the milk supply for tea drinkers though. It was a wonderful experience of being able to go into the wild Asia park at night until 8.30pm. My kids loved it! The fast passes in the morning are everything apart from 3 rides (the bigger ones) but that was no problem for us as we still enjoyed it. All in all a great experience with slight down falls but nothing major.

Loved this, tent was kitted out with comfy beds, and very warm bedding. All important power supply, and a light. Dinner and breakfast served a short walk away from the glamping site, all food was fine a good variety of family-friendly buffet food. The tea/ coffee machine was broken, so no hot drinks. After hours rides were great. No queues. Just keep going on and on and on and on! Film on in the evening, inflatable screen in the centre of the all the tents, film displayed by an 'office projector', sound not that loud, given that people were chatting (fair enough), but having said that, any louder would have been a problem for tents around with young ones trying to sleep. Bring camping chairs, as the picnic tables filled up quite quickly. Take advantage of the early morning fast passes, note that the are restrictions stopping you from going on the big rides. I didn't realise this until after we'd been on Dragon's Fury (one of the excluded rides), but no objections from the staff.

Was lovely stay in glamping team was so kind and amazing !!!! That’s for sure very helpful always has smile on there face loved it !!!! Dinner was amazing at the hotel a member staff walks you down 6/7/8 and picks you up 7/8/9 ☺️ The lights was so pretty worth the money just to meet the glamping staff But sadly the breakfast was not great at the place opposite the Kobra ride !!! only 1 menu for each table which was like 16 tables 1 set breakfast meat or veg you have to wait long time for the menu to come to your table stuff don’t know who they have seen or not seen so was waiting and waiting and staff in there was very confused did not seem to know what they was doing or who they have already spoken to about orders or even what food goes to what table it was madness the food was cold and no hot water for cups of tea or coffee was a shame got to the hotel

Good: It's a great set-up, excellent tents and bedding, and shower/loo facilities. Friendly attentive staff with fun and engaging nature-based activities. Room for improvement: The catering seems a temporary afterthought; breakfast at the 'adventures outpost' was like a themed staff canteen, great food, but location requires guests to go into the deserted theme park. Dinner was c/o a burger van - delicious and great quality but odd to be surrounded by tarmac and empty rides. Overall would recommend as so convenient.

Had a wonderful overnight stay with the family. The facilities are spotless, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. You are better off ordering an Uber takeaway for an evening meal and making use of the picnic tables located in the centre of the camp for a more social experience with your fellow campers. The children's evening entertainment was fun, but at the same time respectable in keeping the noise levels down with those without children. All in all, well worth the money!

Absolutely loved it. Kids were so happy and were even asking if we can prolong our stay. The staff is really nice and friendly. The environment is very nice with an added sense of little adventure sleeping in a tent. The tent has 3 beds (one double and 2 single), a mirror, a chair, LED lantern, 2 power plugs, heater and a fan. Premium glamps have outdoor chairs as well but there are communal benches available too. Toilets and shower rooms are communal and are kept well supplied and very clean. Night gets chilly so suggest keeping the heating radiator on.

Totally recommend the adventure of glamping overnight at Chessington and two days in the park. Had a great time and enjoyed the experience. Glamping tents are comfortable for adults and exciting for children, which makes for a great 'adventure'. Option to order in takeaway via Uber Eats meant that fussy eaters can easily be accommodated and that the expense of restaurants can be avoided. Take away in a tent was a highlight for the small adventurer!

Enjoyed the day/night, tents where lovely. But don't give them your card on arrival, came home they took £182 out of my account for no reason, still waiting for it to be refunded back in to my account after a week of waiting!!! How I'm being treated is alfuw, I'm having to ring up every day to chase up money!! Also don't pay for the Explorer dining, the food is alfuw, nothing it says on web, when we got there all there was, was cheap burgers, sausages etc, no roast or curry like it says!!!

  • waskillywabbit902

How much fun can you have in one day chesington is awesome for all big and small . I've got a merlin pass so I'm doing everything merlin has to offer Great fun me and my son 8 are glamping in a safari tent loads of extra late night activities. The best thing about this place is when the queues are big there is a great zoo to pass some time. my son is totally happy. And the general atmosphere at glamping is awesome like having 50 familys joining together in one fantastic place

  • em kay

The tents were a decent size and the beds were comfy. Unfortunately they have put some of the tents right next to the toilets (like 10 foot away!), so you can hear EVERYTHING going on in them. Also we were delightfully woken up at 6.20 by a thunderous noise going past our tent - I can only imagine it was industrial size wheels bins or similar. It woke the entire camp up with a shock. Wouldn’t stay again unless you paid me…a lot.

  • Selen Osman

Wow!!! A last minute decision turned out to be one of the most amazing experiences ever for my young family! I couldn't recommend glamping experience enough. We was welcomed by Darren who was soo professional, welcoming and soo very lovely to my two very energetic boys. The boys absolutely loved the evening entertainment and having access into the theme park at night for a scavenger hunt! **Every kids dream!**

  • Joanne Braddock

Tent was lovely but staff were not interested in helping, the staff who played with the kid's were great. There was an itinerary of what was on but it didnt coordinate with what actually was planned. Ment to be an outside cinema but there wasn't, saw a member of staff the following morning holding an owl for a meet and greet......no one knew about this so she left again..wont be going back

  • Donald Wright

Unfortunately they bizarrely keep the lights on all night that are outside the tents so the inside of the tent is like daylight throughout the night. Myself and the kids hardly slept. My son made a point that it was "lighter inside the tent than outside at 1am!" I've informed them however I didn't get so much as an acknowledgement!

The park itself is OK, if a little bit tired and worn around the edges. The glamping experience however is exceptional. Large, spacious tents and a lovely area to explore, kids absolutely love it. The only down side is that the tent seemed to either be freezing cold or roasting hot depending on the time of day, but that is camping in general - just pack prepared for both!

  • Maria-Monem

Great experience with family. Kids absolutely loved it. Very clean showers and toilets. The evening games and interactions from the staff was amazing. Generally staff was very helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast was nice and fresh too. Early access to rides and 1 hour fast pass were included as well.

  • Carli Mayo

Just soo much fun! Our boys (4 and 8) absolutely loved it! Will definitely be coming back! The facilities were clean and convenient - there was a story for the children at bedtime and games and activities to keep them occupied in the evening. Lovely sense of community about it. Would recommend!

  • Fairly Close

The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the overnight stay here. Staff were really friendly and the set up is lovely. I'd recommend taking a cool box as I was hoping for a small fridge in the VIP tent to chill drinks. Alternatively ask the staff at the bar in the restaurant for an ice bucket.

  • Leon Wilkes

Amazing experience, standard tents were bigger than I expected, though it's a pity the larger tents were already fully booked. A nice touch is that the compound is fully lit and reception is manned during the night, which makes you feel extra safe. I'd easily recommend this to anyone.

  • Steve Fagioli

Great time, the tents are basically set up around a central green (all weather surface). The tent we were in had 2 single beds, one double and an armchair. There were plenty of toilets and showers. The site was gently lit of a night and gave a good atmosphere.

  • Natalie Pound

The staff are what made this so special. So welcoming and helpful. They ran kids activities from 6 pm- 8pm (bug hunting and scavenger hunt etc) then all the children on camp spent the evening playing together. It was small and enclosed so

A lovely idea but having a tent in the middle meant a football being kicked at it untill nearly 11pm and then again at 6am. However everything was clean and beds comfy
