Random stranger (Me) walks by this seemingly quiet firehouse. Wait... not quiet, but they are just returning home from a call. I hear them first, then see the truck pull around the corner. Sirens off, I asked this gentlemen, "Can I take a photo of you?" He smiled for this photo, and instantly my heart warmed-up. Stay safe and thank you each for your service, and for this lovely memory.

Wir waren im Sommer 2019 das erste Mal in den Staaten. Unsere Reise begann in Chicago. Der Kollege dort auf dem Foto hat sich für uns ganz viel Zeit genommen, die Fahrzeuge erklärt, die Ausrüstung incl. The division oversees the department's 97 engine companies and 61 truck companies, which are divided into five (5) geographic regions. ‍ Engine Company 51 (commonly called Engine 51) is the primary firefighting apparatus assigned to Firehouse 51. For Truck 11, the busiest fire truck in the city, most days test the limits of body and spirit.

Great coffee at anytime of the day!! Used to stop in there when I was active duty USN, going between North Western station and LaSalle St station. Some of the nicest, best trained, firefighters and medics in the city.
