During our family trip to Seattle, we had the unforgettable experience of visiting the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit, nestled right next to the iconic Space Needle in the Seattle Center. From the moment we stepped into this artistic sanctuary, it was clear we were in for something extraordinary. The exhibit, showcasing the stunning studio glass of Dale Chihuly, left an indelible impression on us all, especially on August, Enzo, and Roman. Their eyes widened in awe as we entered the Glasshouse, where a massive 100-foot-long glass sculpture, suspended in the air, captivated us with its vibrant colors and intricate design. This masterpiece, one of Chihuly's largest, seemed to dance in the light, casting a rainbow of colors throughout the space. As we strolled through the Garden, the fusion of lush greenery and glass art created a surreal landscape that felt like stepping into a fantastical world. Each installation, unique in its form and color, told a story that resonated with our boys, sparking their imaginations and curiosity. They pointed excitedly, discussing among themselves which pieces were their favorites and why. The Interior Exhibits further deepened our appreciation for Chihuly's artistry. Each gallery offered a new perspective on the potential of glass as a medium, showcasing everything from sea-inspired creations to massive, ceiling-high installations. The boys, usually hard to keep still, moved slowly here, fully absorbed in the visual feast before them. Our visit concluded with a delightful time at the café, where we enjoyed refreshments surrounded by more of Chihuly's works. It was a perfect moment for Annemarie and me to reflect on the beauty we'd witnessed, and for the boys to express their excitement and wonder over what they'd seen. This visit to Chihuly Garden and Glass wasn't just a day out in Seattle; it was an enriching experience that broadened our boys' horizons and left us all with a deeper appreciation for the artistry and creativity behind glass sculpture. The memory of this visit remains vividly etched in our minds, a testament to the power of art in igniting wonder and inspiration in people of all ages.

Chihuly Garden and Glass in the heart of Seattle Center is nothing short of a visual symphony. As an art enthusiast and nature lover, I found myself completely enchanted by the harmonious blend of Dale Chihuly's iconic glass sculptures in a lush botanical setting. The exhibit starts with the Indoor Galleries, where Chihuly's glass works take center stage. Each room is a kaleidoscope of colors and forms, showcasing the artist's mastery and creativity. The Glasshouse, with its massive suspended sculpture in fiery hues, is a highlight. The way natural light plays off the glass is a breathtaking sight and offers a different experience depending on the time of your visit. But the real magic starts in the Garden. This outdoor space is a testament to the symbiotic relationship between art and nature. The glass sculptures are strategically placed among the plants, creating a stunning contrast and dialogue between the man-made and the natural. The vibrant colors of the glass juxtaposed against the green backdrop is a photographer's paradise. One thing that stood out to me was the attention to detail. Each piece is positioned to catch the light at the right angle, casting mesmerizing reflections and shadows. The garden truly comes alive with these installations, making it more than just a walk but an immersive experience. The integration of the artworks with the environment also speaks volumes about environmental awareness and the importance of preserving natural beauty. It's a reminder of how art can enhance our appreciation of the natural world. Accessibility is excellent, with clear signage and well-maintained paths. This makes the venue welcoming to all visitors, including those with mobility challenges. The staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic, ready to share insights about Chihuly's work and the gardens. Chihuly Garden and Glass is a must-visit, whether you're an art aficionado or just looking for a tranquil escape amidst breathtaking beauty, this place will not disappoint.

We were thrilled to discover tickets online at a fantastic price, saving us a considerable sum. After a smooth check-in at the booth, we embarked on an enchanting journey, starting with the captivating Chihuly Garden and Glass. For an entire hour, we were mesmerized by the brilliant artistry of Dale Chihuly's glass sculptures, which harmoniously melded with the surrounding lush greenery, creating a dreamlike ambiance that left us awe-inspired. Following this artistic escapade, we made our way to the iconic Space Needle, a symbol of innovation and architectural brilliance. The line to ascend the needle was surprisingly manageable, and before we knew it, we were transported to breathtaking heights, witnessing the city's skyline unfold before our eyes. The panoramic views were nothing short of spectacular, and we relished every moment, taking in the blend of urban splendor and natural beauty. It's worth noting that, much like the ascent, the departure from the Space Needle involved a short wait in line. Yet, this minor inconvenience paled in comparison to the incredible memories we gathered throughout the day. In conclusion, this outing proved to be an unforgettable adventure, from the spellbinding Chihuly exhibit to the exhilarating heights of the Space Needle. We wholeheartedly recommend it to all seeking an exceptional experience in the heart of the city. Whether you're an art enthusiast, an architectural admirer, or simply looking to create lasting memories, this journey promises to exceed your expectations. Don't miss out on this remarkable opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty and wonder that awaits.

Chihuly Garden and Glass was part of our park trifecta for this area: Chihuly Garden and Glass, Space Needle, and Museum of Pop Culture. One can't go wrong here because even decent shopping, bars, and eats are within walking distance. The Space Needle and Museum of Pop Culture will be separate reviews. The three are all located in the same part area that my wife and I compared a bit to Central Park in NYC, except obviously smaller. We got our tickets on site as we arrived, but it's probably easier to buy in advance. Also, we reviewed the Seattle group tour type offers online and decided to purchase single site tickets because the price was roughly the same for seniors, and this gave us a bit more control. Chihuly is always awesome, and this exhibit is masterfully laid out indoors and outdoors. The lighting indoors accentuates the shape and color and ones images will be easy to touch up with personal tastes for brightness, charity, saturation, bloom, vignette, etc. Handicapped persons may have a bit more challenge moving around, especially on weekend afternoons. Otherwise, this area is fairly central in the downtown/uptown area and easy to walk or more quickly taxi or Uber to and from. One can spend less than an hour or nearly half a day here pretty easily. The bar of this place is not as nice or roomy as those in the Space Needle of Museum of Pop Culture. Have fun!

Chihuly Garden and Glass is a mesmerizing masterpiece that seamlessly blends art and nature. Nestled in the heart of Seattle, this awe-inspiring exhibit showcases the breathtaking glass sculptures of the renowned artist Dale Chihuly. From the moment you enter, you're transported into a whimsical wonderland of color and form. The glass sculptures, which range from delicate tendrils to towering, vibrant towers, evoke a sense of wonder and amazement. As you stroll through the garden, the interplay of these intricate glass creations with the lush greenery is simply enchanting. The exhibition's attention to detail and lighting creates a truly immersive experience, allowing you to appreciate Chihuly's artistry from every angle. It's a visual feast that sparks creativity and ignites the imagination, making it a must-visit for art enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Chihuly Garden and Glass is not just an exhibit; it's a testament to the limitless possibilities of art and a celebration of the harmony between human creativity and the natural world. It's a place where art comes to life, and visitors are left with a lasting sense of wonder and inspiration.

Must visit in Seattle. Chihuly Gardens and Glass left me in awe. I have such an appreciation for the amount of work that it takes to work with blown glass and seeing the work of Dale Chihuly and his artists was awesome. His pieces are beautiful and everything at Chihuly Garden and Glass left me in awe. He considered everything from the shape of the glasshouse to the way the glass reflected on exhibit, and even the orbs in the garden that reflect the Space Needle. We did the audio tour that is located on the website and then once through the glass house and outdoors we participated in a short guided tour. We took our time, sitting on the benches in the different rooms to listen to the audio and then exploring the pieces. I’d recommend the audio tour so you’re able to learn more of the history of the pieces and the inspiration. It’s probably better to visit with older kids as younger ones may get bored quickly or want to touch.

My family with mom, dad, and boys ages 6 and 13 really enjoyed our visit. With the combination of indoor exhibits with bright colors contrasted with black backgrounds as well as outdoor gardens with interspersed nature sculptures it was like 2 visits in 1. They also had wonderful live demonstrations to keep everyone’s interest even more. Being from Indianapolis Indiana my kids have grown up with the magnificent Fireworks of Glass Tower and Ceiling a 43 foot tall exhibit created by Dale Chihuly in 2006 which has 1,600 pieces of glass along with children’s interactive displays so this was a natural extension for them. Our ticket was part of the Seattle Pass combo.

I got the city pass for 84$ in which I visited the Space Needle, Chihuly Gardens and Argosy Harbor Cruise. Chihuly Gardens is an absolute masterpiece of art. The glasses are moulded into beautiful and colorful structures and objects are a delight to the eye. The process of creating different shapes and figures and how to color them is shown in a detailed manner from scratch to finish at the exit of the museum. It is a great place to bring kids and family. The outdoor area has some creative, colorful and unique glass structures between the plants and should not be missed. The overall place is unique and definitely a must visit while in Seattle.

ALIEN LANDSCAPE AND ART GALLERY IN ONE! I first/last visited here ten years ago and I can't tell if it's changed but, as it was fabulous then, so it is now. I used my Seattle CityPASS to enter and joined the throngs late on a Friday afternoon wandering through the eight galleries, glasshouse and outside into the gardens, marvelling at how all of that glass came to be and then was suspended above and gathered around us. He's a unique talent and I've seen his work in countless hotels and museums all over the country. Coming here, to his passion project in his home state, is well worth it. I combined the visit with the Space Needle which looms overhead. A definite Seattle Must Do!

I guess I'll be that person that doesn't leave this five stars (or even four). With that said.... Is the art very nice and beautiful. Absolutely. If you are an art fan and die hard glass artwork, yes go here. If you are looking to do something in Seattle to kill time or bring friends.... The $37 or so cost for a normal entry ticket for maybe an hour of your time... I'll pass to come again. The six or seven rooms inside with some stuff outside was maybe 45-50 walking through. The large atrium was the largest and most beautiful in my opinion as it hangs from the ceiling. Other than that, was kind of a let down.

Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle is a truly fantastic museum for the entire family. It's not often that you find an attraction that captivates both kids and adults equally, but this place does it effortlessly. The breathtaking colors and mesmerizing art installations kept my 8-year-old and 5-year-old as enthralled as my husband and me. One of the best things about it is that you can explore at your own pace. Whether you want to breeze through the exhibits quickly or take your time to savor every detail, the experience is entirely up to you. Our visit was nothing short of stunning, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seattle.

This was a beautiful museum. I enjoyed seeing Dale Chihuly’s glass work. It took me less than an hour to walk the full museum. Once I realized that I had reached the end of the museum, I doubled back to see some areas that was crowded the first time I walked through. I will say that it’s a bit pricey for such a small exhibit, but it’s on par for the cost of tourist attractions in Seattle. Some of Chuhily’s art is exhibited throughout public buildings in Seattle, so if you’re on a budget, I’d recommend skipping this and seeing his other exhibits throughout the city.

Chihuly Gardens & Glass had wonderful masterpieces of glass art, created by Dale Chihuly & team of glassblowers. Watched a short films in the theater, and found out he studied in Venice on the Island of Murano, well known for their glass creations. Later started displaying exhibits around Europe, and later commissioned to build this museum right under the Seattle Space Needle, which opened in 2012. Also, courtyard with pizza and drinks during some hours & full bar in the same building (no ticket required). Excellent exhibits.

My husband got tickets for the Chihuly Garden and Glass along with our Space Needle tickets. I didn't know what to expect when walking in but it definitely exceeded my expectations. Beautiful art in such a peaceful enviroment. I don't think this is the place to bring young kids, lots of kids running around and touching the artwork, the employees kept having to interupt the tours to inform people to not touch. Still it is filled with beautiful and delicate art with lots of information. Also there was a glass blowing class going on which was really cool to see!

I had heard of this place from the ones who visited Seattle, finally visited Chihuly Garden and Glass. The documentary film at the theater renders a fine example of all the hard work behind the creations and its brainchild. The glassworks and its draft drawings are placed skillfully. One can definitely spend half a day just admiring the beautiful glass chandelier creations and installations that bio-mimic ocean and sea creatures. We had an awesome time at Chihuly. The artwork is beautiful, colorful and challenges your mind (How can they do this? How long must it have taken to put this together?). The museum is not very big, which is particularly good if you're bringing kids - my 6 year old son enjoyed it a lot. They also have live glass-making demos happening every hour by the garden, which was very entertaining and educational. If you're also visiting Space Needle, buy the ticket bundle and you will save $10-15 per person.

Beside space needle, you can get the ticket from the kiosk at the entrance and it only takes few minutes. Weekend are extremely busy, be prepared with hundreds of people in the same room. The glass are just art, vibrant colour in contrary but syncs in harmony, the imagination and creativity is so unique that actually make you stare for minutes. I see ocean, garden, and the strong vitality and depth. Misshaped lives screams and shout, they could turn into creatures anytime! This is a must go!

LOVED it! So worth the ticket price and had a wonderful time!! The exhibits are absolutely breathtaking! I went on a Monday morning, so that may have helped with crowds, but it wasn't overly packed and I was able to clearly see the sculptures. If you combine your ticket with the Space Needle, you will save even more! It is kind of a short exhibit, it took me about 30 min to walk through it. I would say this is a positive though and it keeps your attention span! I would go again!

Larger than it seems from the outside. Beautiful glass art well displayed and lit. The garden area has glass sculptures everywhere so keep looking around. Watch the 6 or so short films to learn more about the artist and how some of the glass pieces are made. Beautiful well stocked gift shop as well (although a little pricey) for the price compared to other attractions in the area I would definitely give this one a visit

While I only visited this museum for its entrance is included with that of the Space Needle’s, I actually found the artifacts within the museum fascinating. I was at a loss for adjectives trying to describe each of them and made it an affair just to imbibe the beauty of sight and refrain from speaking about it! The museum is a good hour/hour-and-a-half walk, if you want to stop by each of the glass pieces, that is.

The coolest place I visited in Seattle. Dale Chihuly is an American glass artist known for his large-scale glass-blown sculptures. His work is truly breathtaking. The museum has an extensive indoor portion, a glasshouse exhibit, and an outdoor garden exhibit. There’s also an outdoor area with live glass blowing demonstrations. If you’re looking for something to do in Seattle, look no further. This exhibit will be unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

A fun stop off! Perfect for art lovers and enjoyers of bright, saturated colors. The entrance is very unassuming, directly across from large flower structures (picture included). There is a nice bar, a cute gift shop (a little pricy, but it's artsy) and a really interesting show/demonstration that seemed to happen about every hour and lasts about 10-15 minutes. Highly recommend staying around for that!

Worth every penny. Such magnificent work and such intricate detail. The rooms are set up really well and you move through them fairly easily even when crowded. Some of the exhibit is inside and some is outside in the gardens, but there’s plenty of areas for shade. They had food trucks in the area too. Expect to spend 1-1.5 hours going through the entire exhibit. We did this with the Space Needle tickets combined and loved it (purchased through Groupon at a discount). Definitely a must see and worth the trip/pay!

If you are looking for something to do that's unique and different, then this is a the spot for you. My wife and I really enjoyed walking around all the different room, as each one is unique. The gardens are perfectly maintained and filled with different coloured glass sculptures that fit perfectly with the different kinds of flora and fauna it's sitting in. All in all a really good experience and worth the ticket prices.

I was so excited for Chihuly! I had seen a Chihuly exhibit on tour about 10+years ago in Boston. At least two of the galleries here in Seattle were the same artwork that went on tour. The other two galleries and gardens were works I hadn't seen before. Everything did look stunning. I did expect the museum to be bigger. I think most people would be done with this museum in an hour or less.

Save a little money and purchase the evening ticket. This spot is unexpectedly beautiful. As someone who loves art but finds galleries a little tedious, this was just the right length to keep my family awed without becoming bored. It is a very entertaining and enjoyable exhibit of artistry and imagination. Some of Dale's life work is on full display here at the studio. After entering the studio and reading his story, I realized I've seen his work before on display back home in Las Vegas. It is definitely a site to see when visiting the area.

Mesmerizing glass sculptures! The glasshouse was closed when we went for a private event which meant we couldn't go in there. But I wish then they'd give us a discount due to that. The video clips at the end were educational and great to understand the art of glass blowing.

Make sure you check out the movie theater. Almost wish it was at the beginning of the tour instead. It was great seeing the pieces up close but also seeing the history of where they were originally installed. Really loved the short little glass blowing demonstrations.

The pricing is expensive. But the glass garden was amazing. The intricacies of how they make glass; the chandeliers, the trees, the flower shaped glass things, everything was awesome. If it was 20-25$, it would have been worth it. But the additional $10 was kinda extra.

A definite must stop while doing all things Seattle. Take some time to visit the Space Needle, the museum of pop culture and the Chihuly Garden. The glass pieces are simply amazing and will you leave in awww. Amazing intricacies and formations with exceptional lighting to enhance your experience.

One of the most amazing and beautiful places I've ever been to! I've posted pictures but they just can't capture the awe these pieces evoke. The sheer size and scope of the works on display is incomprehensible until you are standing right there with them. This is a definite must see.

Absolutely stunning, and not too long of a trek. Perfect for bringing the kids--by the time your toddler starts melting down, you'll basically be at the end of the museum/gardens anyway. Gift shop has some shockingly reasonable prices, and you can get a good view of the Space Needle, too.

A great experience. Fantastic displays and excellent range of exhibits. Gardens were small but well manicured with some colourful glassware designs. Great 15 minute glass blowing demo and a nice theatre with varied shows. Thoroughly recommend

Absolutely beautiful place that have nature and art and as a landscaper I was impressed with the outside layout and how beautiful the art merges with the landscape areas even if you see it with daylight or at night. Really beautiful experience

An unexpected surprise. The wife added this place to our list of things to do during our 1 day adventure in Seattle for our cruise. We went to the Space Needle first and then the Glass Gardens. I must say I was really surprised and really enjoyed this place. If you have a chance, definitely check it out. Very serene and beautiful. You won't be disappointed.

  • Juan Alhambra

Just amazing and breath taking. The art, the sculptures, the lighting really complimented each other. There was a glass blowing demonstration that was really informative. And the Needle can be seen outside with the outdoor exhibit

It's interesting but I was expecting more. Very few exbitions, not interactive at all, not kid friendly. There was no photographer available to take your pictures. Maybe they all went to a lunch break. Tickets are overly expensive for what you get, it should be 15$

The intricacy of the blown-glass displays were amazing. Way more detail than I had expected, the kids loved seeing the glass and colours as well. Everything reminded me of the ocean, and waves and motion. It was a fantastic time.

This is a very underrated place. The art and the displays here are so unique and so mesmerizing. You can spend a good afternoon here and then just take it easy in the nearby cafe in the park. Personally I feel this is a must see in Seattle.

this place was beautiful. It’s fairly quick walk through but the exhibits do not disappoint. Extremely colorful and creative. I do think the admission price was a little expensive for the quantity of exhibits. Would recommend buying a bundle ticket with the Space Needle to see both and maximize funds.

  • Sage Vaporwave

Amazing! Such beautiful displays and sculptures. Definitely recommend going to at least once. We got to see a demonstration, which was really cool (or hot, ha ha). I loved it!

Fantastic museum collection of Dale Chihuly. The glass exhibits are a visual treat full of vibrant colors and aquatic forms. I really like the garden where his forms interact with nature. Although the museum gave a tiny student discount, it must consider consortium with ICOM or AMA etc. More

  • Stephen Navazio

This place is wild! Incredible show! Chihuly is an incredible artist, it's best to go there on a sunny day to appreciate the gardens. The space needle is right next door.

Expense attraction, $25-30 per person. However, the glass art was beautiful. Best time to experience it is at dark. The pictures are even better at night with the Space Needle in the back ground.

It’s a glass museum. While that sounds very boring this place is honestly lit. The vibes are chill and the sculptures are really cool to look at. Admission prices aren’t horrible when bundled with the Needle Tour. Overall I would recommend this spot in a trip up to Seattle!

Only had one day in Seattle and I’m glad that I was able to spend it here. It is right next-door to the space needle and you can get a joint ticket for both attractions. The gardens incorporated the glass sculptures and the art held within the museum were all beautiful.

Very cool inspiring must see exhibit of this famous glass blower!! Give yourself 60-75 minutes for everything and don't forget the Theatre and Glass blowing demonstration.. Download the App and listen to the messages from Chichully dude as you enter the rooms

  • Tiffany M.

A lot of beautiful pieces to see inside and out. I enjoyed the short videos of his various installations around the world and glimpses of his process. We also caught a live demo where they made a vase and explained the process. That was really cool to see.

Wonderful experience. I enjoyed and loved the Persian Ceiling the most. The art glasses are incredible and mesmerizing. It’s such a work of art that has captured the heart and soul of different cultures. Love, love, love it so much. …

Surprisingly beautiful art!! I'd seen pics online but they don't do it justice. There is some amazing glass work in there!! It's definitely not a place for small children but my youngest is 10 and he thought it was pretty cool. I love how

  • Brenda Ohm

We absolutely loved visiting this museum! Definitely take your time through each exhibit. We were able to go to a glass blowing demonstration which was really cool! We also used the City Pass to save on admission. Absolutely worth a visit.

What an amazing place. The glass art is extraordinary. Huge displays and sculptures in the museum displaying all kind of colors and shapes. From bowls to gigantic sculptures. Even a glass house which ceiling is covered from one end

  • Najam Memon

Great place to visit but my family thought that we didn’t get value for the money spent. On the other hand you will see some great glass art. I would say highlight is gallery (first portion), garden and theatre were just about ok.

  • Jacob Banfield

The glass art is really cool, however, general admission is pretty high as I only spent less than an hour here. If you are an art aficionado, this is your cup of tea. Recommend the city pass and making this one of your stops

  • Adriana Perez

Absolutely beautiful museum/experience, with memorable teachings about the history of glass blowing and other art techniques. The collection of pieces is great and the outdoor garden part is so beautiful. Highly recommended

  • Marou Tepper

What an amazing pieces of art collection! Every glass blown piece is spectacular! Dale Chihuly has definitely one-of-a-kind talent and I would recommend everyone to visit this museum whether you’re a WA local or a tourist!

  • Tracy Segall

The artistry is amazing. The colors and pieces are vibrant and creative. The museum is small and quite expensive for the amount of time you spend inside. More than a dollar a minute to see the exhibit seems excessive.

  • Laurie Breitzke

A must see if you go to Seattle or any other location there is a Chihuly exhibit. The gardens were beautiful and the glass was breathtaking. The videos were very informative and provide a lot of insight to hus work.

  • eileen singov

Quite a small museum but the sculptures were very detailed and dramatic. If you want a good place to take photos this is it. There are many eye catching peices that will impress your Instagram followers. More

  • Stacey Reese / Troilo

Really beautiful. If you have kids, prepare to be watched like a hawk. (For good reason as the glass is very close to viewers.) There’s a photographer that walks around offering free photos. More

  • Kathryn Strasser

I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition of gorgeous artwork, both inside and the garden. The guided tour and the glass blowing demonstration were also excellent. Good cafe as well.

  • Jenni Hilton

Incredible experience! I have been twice now, and will definitely make this a stop on any Seattle trip. The art is phenomenal and moving, and the space elevates it. More

  • Wilson Tsang

TLDR: pricey $35 a ticket and only stayed for 45 minutes but was very nice The museum is next to the Space needle and you can buy a combo ticket if you

  • R. Grange

Wonderful exhibit! One has the option of following a tour guide but it was a better experience for us to go off on our own. Inspiringly gorgeous.

  • Rishanth Jeevakumar

Beautiful and relatively priced. Definitely visit it! The sculptures were amazing and nice to look at and makes great photos as well. More

  • Simon Hollis

We both really enjoyed spending the afternoon here. There is a lot to see and take in, but not very many interpretation boards etc.
