My daughters have attended Children's Learning Adventure Laveen on and off for the last 6 years. This review is going to focus on my most recent experience which was March 2016-August 2018 and highlight one of the kindest, loving, nurturing teachers Marcella Alvarado. When my youngest daughter was born I was fortunate enough to have family near by that could care for her but I knew it was only going to be a 2 year option. When it came time to find care for my then 2 year old I knew CLA- Laveen was going to be the choice. As I stated before my older daughter had received care here in previous year and they absolutely loved it! When Miss A went for the first time it was really, really rough. She had only ever been with family and was terrified. By the third day she was inconsolable and it was taking a huge toll on me mentally and emotionally and of course on her. My husband and I agreed that we were going to give it a few weeks because change is hard and I am so glad we did! On the forth day drop off was rough but when it came time for pick up Miss A was running around and smiling!! I was informed that she had the best day yet and that she had taken a liking to one of the newer teacher Ms Marcella. As long as Marcella was in her sight Miss A was fine. It became apparent as the days and weeks went on that Miss A was Marcella's shadow and as long as she was there all was well. Miss A did not cry at drop off at all when Marcella was waiting for her. As the months went on Miss A was absolutely in love with Marcella or "My Cella" as she still calls her ;) When it came time for Miss A to move up a class I was terrified! The thought of Miss A not being with Marcella was awful. I was able to make arrangements to still drop her off to Marcella and then she was supposed to be transitioned to another room. Like Miss A, several of the other little's in the class and the parents saw the special bond Marcella had with their children. I still am not sure how it all happened but for the next 2 years each time my daughter moved to a new class she was able to stay with Marcella and most of her friends. Having that level of consistency was such a blessing. I can't even count how many times Marcella went out of her way to make sure the kids all felt loved and cared for. When the time came recently for Miss A to got off to school it was a tough decision to send her to the local school district for preschool but thanks to the care and education provided by Marcella and her fellow teachers she was more than ready and has been killing it in pre-k! I cannot begin to thank Marcella or CLA enough for the level of care and comfort they provided my little firecracker over the last 2 years. Marcella and CLA have become family and will always be my first choice for care!

I took my son to this daycare a little before he was 2yrs old. This was the first daycare I had ever looked into so my expectations and concerns were high. When I took a tour of the place I was drawn to it immediately thinking I can actually see my son going here and feeling okay about it. I was wrong!! Not only did my son NEVER get use to me leaving, but when I'd pick him up he'd be wearing some other kids shirt when they had to change him EVEN THOUGH I brought extra change of clothes SPECIFICALLY for my son. There was also a time I picked him up and he was wearing a different diaper than the ones I provided for him. He also ended up having a really bad rash when we got home and I had also provided Desitin for him!! Another time I went to pick him up, it was still nap time and he was not covering with the blanket I had given them for him, in fact, some other kid was using it!! By this point I was getting very annoyed that the staff could not main to his things separate from the other kids belongings. What finally had me done with this place was when I picked my son up and he had TWO bite marks on his arm with no letter or note to me of what had happened and I had to ask for myself and NO ONE could give me an answer, however, they did turn it around and put the blame on me saying "he probably got it at home from another child" umm... Hello? He was the only child!! My advice is to think twice about this place! Worst experience ever!! It's all looks to attract people but they are horrible at watching kids.

I went for a tour of the place and the staff was nice. I talked to a lady on the phone she set me up for the tour and told me to bring all the kiddos. (I have 5 by the way). So I got there for the tour and she literally walked me around the corner (a few steps away)to a room that we just looked at through the glass. Im not sure why I needed to bring the kids for that. It was nothing like what was advertised. What I seen in the the add was a gym with a basketball court and a huge center. So it’s either she didn’t want to show us the whole center or they just don’t have it. The cost is super expensive too and all the kids are going to be doing is sitting in one room learning about the world. The theme is “ around the world in 80 days” you’d think you are paying for and actual world tour. I give two stars because the ladies were nice but as far as the center 0 out of 10 do not recommend. Better off paying for an away summer camp.

We made the move to CLA after we had issues with another center's infant room. Our preschooler went on to absolutely thrive in Ms. Tina's class and was able to test into the accelerated academy because of all the knowledge he gained. CLA is very attentive to behavior, education, and parent communication. The infant room has been such a blessing- there are no words- they truly love the babies like their own and focus on gaining the milstones. My only regret is that we didn't check them out sooner. Only improvement I can see is getting the security cameras and screens operating again. I've seen/heard others complain about the price- it is expensive- but you get the quality and peace of mind that goes with it. As a teacher, almost my entire check went to the tuition, but it was completely worth it. We have been at CLA for over a year now and will continue to use them until the baby is ready for kinder!

We love CLA Laveen. My daughters have gone here for about a year now and we have been pleased with their service. You can tell the staff here really care about doing a good job and do the best they can to make sure the children are well cared for, it shows through the little things. My daughter has come home multiple times with her hair "fixed" back into a pony tail because someone took the time to fix it for her. Also, she will often come home saying her teacher loves her. If I can't be with my child all day, I'm so glad she had teachers who show they care about her. Of course it does get crazy sometimes, once in a while stuff gets lost... usually our fault because we forgot to label something... but overall, I would say this is a quality and friendly place for kids. They have great staff and good Director!

Tried to enroll my son, he has an IEP, they had him come in for a few hours to see if it would work out, and it did. Then we filled out all the paperwork, which they were going to give to their accounting dept, to approve it, and month and half goes by, no phone call, and they "lost" all of the paperwork. This was the short version! Btw, I went in and the receptionist decided I was not important enough to acknowledge, however her coworker that was clearly off tge clock, seen what was going on, and decided to help me, which I appreciated! Plus, I feel she was the only person that knew how to do her job. We will not be enrolling our son here!

I would like to say first and foremost Thank You Gisselle and VNA and all staff . I would like to recognize this is the Best School and Staff have compassion working with children , my kids basically grew up within the school . My daughter was as young as 3 months. And now she is Currently is 4 yrs and 2 other sons Graduate pre- K . Truly family oriented and safe Environment . Thank you papas for always making the kids good healthy food . My kids love the staff in kitchen as well . Very trustworthy staff i am very impressed. Impeccable customer service and excellent communication Thank you Sincerely

All CLA has is very nice and upgraded facility. They don’t teach kids anything. We put our toddler in CLA for about 2 month, she didn’t do any art work but one piece of paper with “M” on it, and they did it on the day when we complained that they didn’t have enough art work. They don’t have enough teacher either. Everyday when I walked in, all I see is one teacher changing diapers, the other teach cleaning up toys. Kids just running around and do whatever. It’s terrible. One time I walked into the class and saw teachers showing videos on the phone to the kids. We had to transfer her.

I brought my toddler in when she was 16 months old. She had never been in a daycare environment and we were both pretty nervous. The first few days were really hard but the staff was great in consoling me and my daughter. Her transition was quick and she loves it there now. I can tell my daughter is genuinely cared about by the staff. She's learned a lot while being there, her speech has improved, she counts and sings. Every morning she asks to "go to school". Besides the excellent staff, the facility is beautiful and clean. I would recommend CLA Laveen to any parent.

CLA is absolutely amazing! It’s not only a daycare to me and my kids.. it’s truly a union. This was all scary for me at first, but they brought me ease and took that away. I have a 2 year son and 8 month daughter that attend. The love, care and nurture they provide my kids is beautiful and indescribable. The director Ms Jazel is awesome! She truly goes above and beyond not only for her students, employees but for the parents as well. You all are so appreciated! Continuing being great and thank you for spreading the light into my kids.

My wife and I are very sad to report that our 4 year old daughter had a terrible time at this day care center. We would find her alone, crying, several times. Our daughter complained about teachers yelling, and boys “hugging her too tight” and that she was scared. Every teacher, every time, would say “she is fine.” We feel so bad for her. We have doubts about the training and professionalism of the staff. We are parents of two older children and have never had an experience where care takers basically ignored crying children.

Very loud atmosphere..my kindergartener was very intimidated by all the older kids mixed in with her in the summer program, my daughter is 11 now and still tells me about how much she hated going here any time she sees an ad for it or we pass by it, that really says something... she still makes comments about how much she hated it and she's 13 now, definitely wish I had realized when she was crying then, how much she really hated it, it's hard for kids to express sometimes why they don't like something at that age

Amazing Preschool! My youngest little sister has been coming since she was two years old until the age of 5. She loved it so much and now my two boys enjoy coming to school everyday. They learn something new everyday! Everyone is very friendly and directors are awesome and so caring. It makes me so happy to know my boys are in a safe happy environment. The campus is always so clean and welcoming it feels like a second home to my baby boys. If I could give 10 stars I would :) Vyanai & Giselle are wonderful!!

CLA is overall amazing. We have been going there for 4 years. During this time, if there was ever an issue, Ms. Gissel made sure it was resolved right away. All of the ladies in the front are more than helpful. They really make you feel heard. The curriculum at CLA is great. My child is excelling compared to other children his age and loves going to school to learn! The school also puts on events and activities. We love being part of the CLA family!

I love this childcare establishment! I have been going here on and off for ten years with two of my children. Right now my 4 year old knows how to spell his first and last name and almost knows how to read. The teachers are great and it’s very safe here. This place doesn’t give me the creeps like some in the past did. In think the prices are well worth it. It’s a very family like place and they take the time to know you by name.

My daughter has been attending this location for 2 years, and loves it. My wife and I moved here from Boston, and this learning center has made our transition exponentially easier knowing our child was in excellent hands, and well taken care of. My daughter is 3 years old, and runs into class every day excited to see all of her friends and teachers, and its always a task to pull her away from activities at the end of the day.

I am so disapointed, the staff in the front deak are so disrespectful. There were 4 in the front desk and none of them were of any help,I was asked to sit and wait and I was completely ignored. I had to leave because it was closing time and after 45 minutes of waiting there was no excuse for the lack of proffesionalism. If this is how they treat parents I cant even imagine how they must be with the kids. So sad .

All the staff have been AMAZING !! They handle situations with the upmost respect, care about not just your child, but the whole family. The support is beyond what I would’ve expected.!! Clean, safe, amazing staff, and amazing communication. Child has been there for over a year and have no plans on leaving. Thank you CLA !

Terrible staff they get in your business and talk bad behind your back. Don't take your kids here they will be bullied. Soooo crazy how the director Giselle wants to get in your business like she's part of your life it's so rude and disrespectful. The board needs to know about the complaints parents are having

Brooke the director is beyond great! We had issues with one teacher but it was immediately corrected, other than that we have loved her teachers and her being at this location. Location itself is nice , convenient easy access. We will surely miss the staff when we move this summer.

My first son has been coming here since he was 5 months old now he’s 4 years old and now my second son has started he’s 2 months old I wouldn’t pick anywhere else for my boys to come they love the staff and feel safe! They really treat you like family!

The front staff at Children's Learning Adventure Laveen are so helpful and kind. The director, Gissel, went above and beyond to help us out. The facility is very clean and we are beyond thrilled to have our 2 daughters attend this childcare.

Love this location the ladies there are very friendly. . Use to live on 55th and baseline but moved 3 years ago to 75th didn’t want to switch daycare since my son was already use to the ladies there. Very warm and welcoming since day one.

Wonderful place but they are way to expensive to take my child there.... I'm a single parent with a full time job and still can't afford Adventure's start up fees and programs.

I love the staff here! They are so welcoming, and makes my baby feel comfortable each and every morning! I recommend anyone to bring their children here.

The ladies up front are super welcoming! My kids always seem to have fun and learning a lot, and they even accommodated our DES childcare status.

Children learning adventure had by far been one of the best daycare/after school my children have attended. The teachers and staff are amazing.

Everybody is very friendly, all clean, no bad odors, facilities are amazing, the teachers are lovely with the kids. highly recommend :)
