"Lovely place for kids and adults"
"Visiting the Children's Zoo was an absolute joy! It's a charming little petting zoo that allows you to get up close and personal with a variety of adorable animals, making it a fantastic experience for both kids and adults"
"If you have kids, bring them here! Things to know: - This is a star attraction, meaning that, if you’re visiting the zoo with a free Wednesday ticket or with a limited membership, this is not included - Bring quarters! Two 25c coins are required for a handful of food to feed the animals at the end of this attraction; that includes goats, sheep and a few other animals that are used to being petted and to eating out of kids’ hands - There’s a larger hands washing station at the end of this attraction - At around 4:45pm, one of the staff members will get in line for the animal food machines; no one behind this person will be allowed to get more food, and they’ll remove the machines once that person gets to them"
"It was good, but some parts seemed like they would be better in other areas"
"The Children’s Zoo is one of the beautiful places in the zoo! Definitely recommend for kids and adults"
Lovely place for kids and adults. LOVE this zoo! My favorite place to take friends and family of all ages. 100% a full day trip so make sure to get there early if you want to see everything. Make sure you buy the full experience tickets also because it is so so worth it. The tickets include my personal favorite: the gorillas!!! There is no “exhibit” like this that I have seen at any zoo I have visited. It is more of an all inclusive experience as you feel like you are walking through the Congo before you get to the main gorilla exhibit, which is massive. The experience tickets also include another favorite of mine which is the Children’s Zoo but is really for all ages. You see more basic animals in this exhibit but there are fun ways to experience the animals such as the prairie dogs exhibit where you can poke your head up and see them up close. There are tons of other photo ops along the way, including a “spider web” which kids climb on and other fun play areas including a slide for kids. Next, you enter a farm area where (of course) you get to feed the animals! Of course the children’s zoo is more catered towards kids but it’s fun for all ages. I had a great experience, it was a little overwhelming at first since it was our first time there and the place is huge.
Visiting the Children's Zoo was an absolute joy! It's a charming little petting zoo that allows you to get up close and personal with a variety of adorable animals, making it a fantastic experience for both kids and adults. The ducks and geese gracefully swimming in the ponds were a delightful sight. The sheep and goats were incredibly cute and fluffy. The turtles added a unique touch to the zoo. Watching them slowly move around their pond was oddly calming and added to the overall charm of the place. I appreciated the accessibility and safety measures put in place, ensuring that kids could interact with the animals safely and responsibly. The Children's Zoo is a must-visit spot, especially if you have kids who adore animals. It's a simple yet magical place that leaves you with happy memories and a smile on your face. I highly recommend this delightful zoo to anyone looking for a fun and family-friendly activity!

It was good, but some parts seemed like they would be better in other areas. For example, even though a rabbit technically isn't a rodent, it probably should have been put into the mouse house(which is more of just a rodent area). The petting zoo portion was amazing. They even have food dispensers(which are kind of like gumball machines) where you can get little snacks to give to the animals. It's was great for my 3 year old cousin, not for older kids and/or adults, being that is designed for kids.
The Children’s Zoo is one of the beautiful places in the zoo! Definitely recommend for kids and adults. You are able to feed the bay goats and others with just .50 cents. This is a total experience exhibit, you need a ticket that says “Total Experience” or you can also purchase a ticket on site if you didn’t get the Total Experience. Definitely recommend they have fun activities inside for the kids.
Large space with petting zoo where kids and grown up can feed animals. Lots of Black Crown Herons. Ant Eater exhibition is also great. Flamingos in a small lake also attract a lot of attention from the kids. Owls are always a great attraction for kids reading Harry Potter.
Animals and climbing areas . You can crawl through tunnels and see ground hogs, climb a giant spider web, and see how your jumó compares to different animals. At the end there is a petting zoo where you can feed farm animals. A great place to visit !
Always a great time here! So many cute little things for kids under 10 to enjoy. Though, nothing really gets refreshed or redone. I’m not asking to switch out the animals but it gets a bit redundant to justify a yearly membership.
Great variety of animals, it's not just a petting zoo. It also has quite a few exhibits and must sees like the prairie dogs and fennec foxes! It ends with a petting zoo with the usual farm animals plus super fluffy alpacas!
Fun and educational place to bring kids. It was very interactive for the little ones including a petting zoo of farm animals. There were different varieties of animals and the flamengo/duck pond was very nice too.
This part of The Bronx Zoo is an extra fee or part of the all inclusive ticket. But it was a great way to get really close to some animals. and it's more confined so I could let the kids explore a bit.
Bronx zoo is my favorite zoo in the city. It's better to go on 2 days so you can actually enjoy everything. Only con is that it's always crowded. We all had fun from the 1yr old to the 26yr old lol
Cute animals fun to pet. Had cows pigs and sheep. Hopefully people will be with these animals and decide not to hurt them in the future by not eating them or not wearing their wool.
Great for little kids , not too crowded on weekdays! They have strollers for rent for only 13.00 and if you have Bank of America you get 10% off on everything you buy ☺️.
A staple in the Bronx and NYC as a whole. Great place to spend time with the kids, there are always activities going on. Knowledgeable staff and friendly environment.
This is the best Zoo for your children. Its being strategically develop for kids to have fun. You and your children will love it. It also safe for all ages of kids.
Great place for kids, a lot of funny activities and close connection to the animals. And good coffee and cheeseburgers spot near entrance to Children's Zoo
Well worth a visit. If you want to feed the animals, bring some quarters or some singles, they have a machine to make change. The kids L0VED it.
My daughter really enjoyed seeing the animals but she was too fearful to feed them. She is only 2.5. It's perfect for toddlers and young kids!
My daughter loves this place. There are so many activities for them to do so I just pretending to be a prairie dog and climbing a spider's web
Kids love to feed the animals. Bring plenty of quarters or small bills to buy the food. There is a change machine that accepts $1's and $5's.
Great place. Cant wait to take my family back there again. Lines are a bit longer over the weekend just FYI have some time on your hand!
Free and Wednesday’s but pay for the upgrade because you want to be able to see it all. Beautiful park to just take a stroll through.
Chief the Turkey. Keeping order at the children's petting zoo. All humans had on mask and social distancing was being implemented
Always a gteat experience for the kids. The exhibit is clean and well kept. The petting zoo animals appear to be well attended.
Unfortunately due to covid most interactive exhibits are closed (slides, spider web, etc) but you can still feed the animals
I love this place to spend the day with my children, there’re many things to see, to do, and to eat. Wednesday still free.
It's better then I expected and pretty decent size. They have cows, alpacas, sheep's, goats and many more animals to see.
I love this place. Wanna feel like a kid all over again.? Come to the Bronx Zoo, it's a magical kind of place.
You can pet the animals and feed them, they’re friendly and they are super safe for toddlers.
It was great. They have a lot of animals for children to see and some fun picture areas.
Amazing place to go with kids, really nice staff. Highly Recommend
The best part in the Bronx.
Always fun for the kids!
