Amazing shop!! It is tiny but they have the best chilli!! You can try the chilli in the shop and you will be amazed! People there are extremely cute and friendly, they recommended me a lot of tasty chilli/spicy sauce and all of them are amazing. Apart from chilli from the TV programme "The Hot Ones", they also have fantastic chilli that worthy of trying! Also, the Tikka Masala I got from the shop is surprisingly good, VEGAN friendly! It is so strong. I added some herb when making veggies and I will definitely recommend it to everyone! I will buy again from that shop and become a regular customer lol. The owner is a man full of interesting stories (he is absolutely more than a chilli shop owner!) and he called his chilli "artwork"! Don't miss out the chance, the lovely owner and their chilli really made my day:D

I travelled over the pennines to get to this place and was not disappointed. The owner is brilliant and will help you find your perfect sauces and your level. There is sampling a plenty in this little aladdins cave of heat and you'll be encouraged to try, just be careful round the eyes ;). For such a small shop there is a huge selection of sauces to choose from and, if like me, you enjoy the hot ones show you can grab some of the series superstars from here too. The owner couldn't be more helpful waxing lyrical about the sauces and heat levels. You'll come out having learned a lot (and likely with your mouth on fire in a good way). TLDR If you are looking for a wide selection of hot sauce sold by someone passionate and knowledgeable then get yourself to the chilli shop.

Really unexpectedly probably the best shop experience we have ever had lol! I had just had a tooth removed in an emergency and had had to come from York to Leeds to have that happen so the day wasn’t going well. I really like hot food and chillis so even though I was in pain, numb and tbh embarrassed because I felt I was unable to speak properly and a bit dribbly we went in. The owner(I think) didn’t try to up sell or intrude at all, he was just kind and chatty and gave us great advice once we talked about what we liked. We honestly spent the walk to the car talking about how strange the experience was to have had such a nice time in a random chilli shop given the day we had been through.

Went to the fantastic Chilli Shop today, as ever Frank the owner was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. I told him I wanted something special for my godson Rhys's18th birthday, I knew Rhys was keen on the Dreams of Calypso sauce but Frank has expertly put together a Hot One's styled collection of sauces for him. With each sauce Frank has given a card showing which season and line up number the sauce appeared in the show. Not only that, upon hearing I was taking my godson for his first (legal) alcoholic drink, Frank very generously gifted me one of his sought after 'I Survived ' Hot One's pint glasses so Rhys can start his birthday celebrations in style. He's going to be so happy. :-)

Went to the shop today and honestly what a guy!!! I was excited for the hot sauces but I had no idea what type of customer service I would be receiving!! Man is a legend, such a connoisseur we spoke for ages and he shared so much knowledge about each hot sauce and explained textures and qualities of the sauces like a boss. I recommend one hundred percent that anybody who lives in Leeds and is just passing by in town to drop by and just take a look at least even though the prices are so much cheaper than the USA! Partner and I stopped off in Leeds on our way up to Scotland. Decided to have a nose around the area and found this gem of a shop. You can tell the fella running the place is very passionate about all things chilli than just making sales, which was such a nice thing to see! Despite a small store, it really has everything you need to spice up (pardon my pun) your dinners at home as well as quirky items to give to people for gifts! Came in here for the first time maybe a month ago. I love spicy food but cooking with it for my family and friends comes with a few challenges. I cant tell you how happy I am with everything I bought. My vegan chilli has more depth of flavour, and my sirloin teriyaki is no longer missing that "something". Just explained what I was after. Sampled some stuff and took the recommendations. Honestly, this place is amazing. So even if you're just passing. Please pick something up and make sure they're open for ever. The Leeds foodie population needs this place!

Happened upon this shop while exploring Leeds for my partner’s birthday. Owner was absolutely wonderful, instantly made us feel at ease, offered us free samples (which we bought straight away - the candied jalapeño sauce is perfect and we’re currently having it on ham sandwiches!), told us what to use the sauces/spices on (mango for the tajin), let us try some pringles and gave my boyfriend a pack of sweets for his birthday! It's just lovely to see, how passionate this man is about hot sauces and all thing's spicy. What he doesn't know about hot sauces....probably isn't worth knowing. He really invests his time to discuss new product's and thing's, that he genuinely thinks that you'll like. I ordered a hamper for my chilli loving son in-laws birthday. It was a last minute order with little time for it to be posted off before the actual day but the super conscientious owner made sure it arrived in time. I got lots of advice regarding products and my son in law was thrilled and really enjoyed working his way through everything. I’d recommend The Chilli Shop to anyone who is or who knows a Chilli fan. Friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very efficient company .

Look at the general rating of the place. It's no surprise that it has a near-perfect rating. It's a MUST visit for any chili-head looking to stock up on sauces, rubs and extracts. The owner is super friendly as well - he offers free tastings, he has a lot of knowledge of hot sauces, can articulate in which way each sauce is different, and in general he's very friendly and accommodating. If you (or someone you know) love hot sauces or spicy foods, you should visit.

Frank helped me with a birthday gift for a chilli loving friend, all by phone. The service was amazing, he was patient and helped me give a great surprise, going the extra mile to make it even more perfect. I live hundreds of miles away but I read such good things about the shop that I decided to give it a go, and I'm so glad I did. I used to visit Frank's chilli shop regularly when he was at Brighton Marina so it was a brilliant treat to be able to visit his 'new' place here in Leeds. You simply must visit, this is a total Alladin's Cave of all things chilli and Frank is also one of the most knowledgeable, and lovely, people you are likely to meet. We're in Leeds for a few more days, I'll definitely be popping back in before we head back down to Sussex!

One of my favourite shops in town! The owner is so lovely and helpful, full of spicy wisdom to make sure you get exactly what you want. When I first came in, he showed me this Chipotle chilli powder which has been absolutely delicious on everything, and since then I've been using that chilli in everything, thanks to him. If you're in Leeds and looking for a way to spice up boring food, this is THE place to go!

The owner was on site when I visited the shop. He's a very knowledgable guy and was happy to discuss my wants/needs. He offered a number of samples in order to discern my taste and then made great suggestions based on my reaction to the samples and the flavour profiles I was looking for. I will definitely return to this shop and I genuinely hate shopping in almost all cases, this was a pleasant exception.

A great selection of hotsauces and chilli related stuff. A good place to pick up a gift or to try out a new hotsauce. The guy who runs the place is really nice and happy to chat and recommend products. They have a wide selection of the "Hot Ones" sauces and even do their own version of the First We Feast show once a month where you can take on the wings of death yourself. Definitely worth checking out.

Just a quick review i was with my daughter who wanted to go in chilli shop. The chap there was very helpfull and chatty new his chillis lol my daughter purchased a few bits for a prezie for her hubby. She got some chocolate limes that was hot and they worked on her hubby which i witness later, they made his eyes water. Cant wait to see what he makes of the pickle made with the strongest chillies ever.

I love the little chilli shop, they always have such a great selection both in store and online, the staff are very friendly and will recommend based on your preferences and what you want a bit of spice for. They also ask how hot you're used to so that they don't recommend anything too hot to handle. I highly recommend the Naga and Scorpion level hot sauces, just a drop livens up a meal easily.

Fantastic chilli shop. Frank Jay is an amazing owner; very friendly and knowledgable. Purchased a lot of different hot sauce for my boyfriend from here. If you're a fan of hot ones, then you'll be able to find a lot of the hot ones featured sauces on here including da bomb. He also hosts an amazing hot ones night once a month which is good crack. 10/10

So I've been here twice now the owner is so enthusiastic it's infectious. He's always willing to talk about the scary spicy products inside this place. If you like the YouTube series Hot Ones, this is a must visit as he has loads of sauces featured in the series. I tried the chocolate plague and I've never felt anything quite like it!

Called in on our way through leeds and the guy behind the counter was really engaging and pleasant, offered for us to taste the sauces if we wanted to and gave us details for their monthly chicken, chilli tasting nights, we are going to give it a go, we bought 2 packets of crisps, cheese and jalapeño and they were really nice.

A great shop with an excellent array of spicy sauces, they have an option for all pallets, some incredibly flavoursome sauces and some a little more extreme for those who like to dabble. I'm not one for writing reviews usually, but chanced upon this place today and was hugely impressed. Bloke running it is a genuine chilli enthusiast, really knows his stuff and couldn't be more helpful. There are displays of free samples, info, loads of stuff I never knew existed. (Banana habanero jam?).

A small (but perfectly formed) shop rammed to the rafters with hot sauces and all things spicy. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about his stock, let us taste everything we were interested in and couldn't have been more helpful.
