I have eaten there at least ten times before. But when I went to pick up my order there yesterday, I was disgusted an appalled at the conditions there. It was like 90 degrees inside, the counter, floors, cooking area and prep area were so cluttered and disgusting. I don't think they have ever wiped off the surfaces of thier register area. The plastic over the register is yellow with grease and I physically almost gagged. I paid for my food and took it back to work. The second I opened the bag, a barage of fruit flies came out. I tried calling from Mt work and no one picked up. I could not leave work to take it back and was working well past thier closing hours. I tossed the food into the trash and will not return. Why are these places not held to safety and cleanliness standards like other places? The health department really needs to investigate. Ps if you only ever get delivery,,, the food may look good, but you have no clue the conditions it is coming from. Just a warning. Stop in and look around sometime. I guarantee you are eating more 20 year old grease and flies than you think.

I usually have a good experience when ordering from here. Today however was totally unacceptable. I went in this afternoon to order dinner, placed my order and waited. When I first arrived I saw one of the owners sitting and eating (which was fine with me not the issue, an I know it was one of the owners as I frequent there often). Well the same owner that was just sitting and eating, went into the kitchen without washing his hands. He then proceeded to assist with fixing my food again without washing his hands. He then grabs broccoli with his bare unwashed hands and puts it on my plate. The workers that began preparing my food where using their cellphone then stopped without washing hands made my food then got back on the phone. Another worker microwaved my fried rice as it appeared to have been sitting there a while before I arrived. I just left the restaurant without getting anything and went to another. I am glad I did not prepay. Needless to say today's visit was not sanitary at all.

3 1/2 Stars upgraded to 5 due to all the irrational haters. Egg Foo Yung is excellent! Dumplings super plump & tasty. One order definitely enough for a full meal. Chicken on Stick tenders cut VERY generously, and I especially like the marinade they use. It causes the edges of the meat to slightly crisp up and blacken, while the meat is really moist, and has that classic Chinese red-barbeque color. Makes them seem fire-grilled. Yes, the man who takes orders seems curt, but once you realize that, let it go, because he is proud of his business and puts out a good product. Besides, if you need someone to make nice with you, talk to the lady. I prefer to go there and place my order in person, shop for 10 or 15 minutes in Food Lion next door, and then return to pick up my fresh, hot and tasty food. Enjoy!

First time. Last time. From the moment you walk in there is smoke in the air. It's a tell tell sign that whatever oil is being used is old. The place is dingy and dirty. They have displayed at the counter, dust crusted examples of food containers. The computer is caked with dirt. Atop a freaking deep freezer was pans of conjilled meat-just sitting out in the open! In the soda freezer behind the counter was pans of egg rolls and other foods. Our table was dirty. We order in but got our food in to go containers on trays. The egg rolls tasted old and the meat over cooked (due to old oil perhaps). How they had a rating of 96 is beyond reason. Never again. Better to go to Panda House on Briley; great people and good food.

I usually do not write reviews, but today they've earned it, I have ordered from this place many, many times before, I actually love their food, I have no complaints about that, and I did put up with her nasty attitude just because I wanted their food, However Today I've had it!!! the terrible customer service is going to start pushing people away, Its the same problem every time I want to place an order, the lady taking my order is just rude, its disgusting! I will never order from this place EVER AGAIN! I will take my business somewhere else, where I am treated with the respect an courtesy ALL CUSTOMERS DESERVE!! I will go to Panda Express Next time, just saying...

I chose a different restaurant because I am new to the city and thought there had to be others better than the one closest to me. When I got there, I saw a sign that said they were one of the best for 2014 but I must have caught them on a bad day. The staff only spoke when telling me how much the order was. My egg rolls were not included and the Mai Fun only had cabbage as the veggie (with minimal eggs, shrimp). However, since I try to find something positive in everything, I will say that they were quick......my order was ready when I got there and the egg rolls only took the three minutes to get ready. I will, though, continue to look elsewhere for my Mai Fun.

The food was good....that's it. The lady working the cash register on a tues at 1 pm was so rude. When me and my husband walked in she was yelling at someone on the phone and calling them crazy. Then hung the phone up on them and was telling my husband about it angrily and unprofessional. I then asked her for hot water and she said over there and then picked a bowl the was sitting next to it face up. I asked her for a clean one and she got an attitude...the resturant was so so filthy....I really don't even know why I ate there....Def won't go back...rude service and dirty resturant....I'll be surprised if they don't have roaches....nasty

I ordered from this resturant via Uber Eats for my husband. The food was just okay and the dye in the sauce in the sweet and sour chicken would not wash off of his hands until a day later. Not long after he ate he began experiencing nausea and vomiting for 2 days. Needless to say he was food poisoned and when we called the resturant to let them know and to possibly not serve it to others, they stated that we had to take up our grievance with Uber Eats despite the fact that they made the food. I am very upset and disappointed at the fact that they could care less about food poisoning my husband and will NEVER EVER eat here again!

I have been eating here for a long time. Food was gotten worse..The staff working behind the counter are very rude. Last time I was in there i ordered the baby shrimp,and some other things. The shrimp was burnt to a crisp. Took it back to the counter. It had obviously been re cooked. And was cold.the man back there cooking, said that they serve it like this I had ordered this many times..He started yelling at me, and would not re cook it or refund my money. There were several other customers at the counter, when they saw the shimp, and heard him yelling at me, they walked out I will never go back..

This place never let's me down! I love their sweet and sour chicken/pork with white rice. The price is amazing as well. I spent under ten dollars and brought home enough food for 2 or 3 days. I recommend calling in instead of ordering online. The woman at the counter is always super kind and friendly as well!

Horrible Chinese food. Undercooked, undress, rushed and food not as described. Order beef fried rice and recieved 2 pieces of beef in the whole quart. Ribs boiled and undercooked and dry, wont ton soup flavorless. The girl on the phone that takes orders should not be allowed to communicate with customers. Ahe is soooo rude.. Refuses to answer questions and quick to get loud.... This is not a cultural thing, this is a rude, no home training thing. This is not the first time we have ordered from here and had problems but it definitely the last!!!!

Got the sesame chicken extra spicy with pork fried rice. Overall, the entire meal was really good. I can see why other reviewers had said the customer service was bad. She is not rude, but more “matter of fact”. Was hoping the sauce for the entree wasn’t as sweet, but still good. The pork fried rice was very good. Lots of meat, vegetables, and well seasoned.

Visiting from out of state, I ordered the Sweet and sour shrimp. It was way over cooked and too much batter hard to find the shrimp.. I 've always had this served with vegetables this came with just sauce. I also asked if they had steamed chicken. The response was no. I probed a bit more still no...I had to hang up and re-read the menu.... It offers steamed chicken with broccoli....the staff member didn't have the common sense to think outside the box and tell me we it was offered with broccoli... I would not recommend or return

The food here is pretty good, I usually order Egg Foo Young and its always great. Only one thing about the dish is the gravy recipe must be inconsistent. I've had darker gravy, Lighter, and both have had different flavor profiles. Nevertheless its still great with the mystery gravy. I've been ordering here for years, pick-up or delivery. The store doesn't have much of a sit in vibe to it though although they have a few tables, I don't suggest eating in. Just get your food and enjoy.

Man the food was excellent, but I had a hard time telling the guy what I wanted, and then I got not exactly what I asked for. I ordered General Tsao's chicken with vegetable rice, order of fortune cookies and some chopsticks. I got an order of General Tsaos chicken, white rice, veggie rice, egg rolls (no idea where that came from), no chopsticks, and no fortune cookies. But man the food was good. Even the egg rolls were good and I didn't order them.

Prices are very good plus this is the first place that makes egg foo young the way I remember it at my favorite Chinese takeaway in Pittsburgh. Stuffed with shrimp and not too expensive. Good hot and sour, nice and hot, no complaints. The delivery guy was a total sweetheart. If anyone was rude I didn't notice at all, I'm ordering chow not sitting at a restaurant. Portions are huge. My mom and daughter love their food.

Me and my father have been going here since I moved here in 2011, and I couldn't be any more happy to say, the food they make... is amazing. I've been getting the same stuff for almost a decade; Fried Chicken Wings, Vegetables, Fried Rice, Eggroll, and the little cracker things. The lady up front called me cute and saw me grow over these years, she is a amazing woman. Grew up on here and never will leave it !

We ordered through this restaurant for delivery this evening. Our order was missing several items and several others were incorrect. When we called to see about correcting the order, we were told we would have to bring the delivered food back to the restaurant to "prove" the order was wrong. We've got 3 small children and an hour to bedtime, so that's not happening. But we won't be ordering from here again.

This place is mids at best. Food was such low quality. Chicken was grisly, gross, low quality chicken I wouldn’t even let my dog eat. The whole order was just so mediocre. Fried rice in particular was bland and gross. Only vegetable found was a few peas and a couple onion slices. Chicken was nasty quality and there was very little flavor. So disappointed.

I order here at least 3-4 times a week. To me this is the best Chinese I’ve had. Their fried rice is very flavorful and far from bland. The only complaint is that I don’t like when the rice has corn and green beans in it. Doesn’t happen often but have had a couple of times that I guess they didn’t have just the peas and carrots veggie bag available. Don’t sleep on China House!

The food was absolutely awful the rice was flavorless and so was the rest of the food. Noodles were dry, flavorless, lobster juice was bland, only flavor was the shrimp, and very small and almost little to no lobster inside. Vegetables tasted old and plain we are not surprised the food came so quick. Paid more than 30$ worth of food when I would’ve rather taken my money to McDonald’s.

I have ordered from here 2Times. The first time the food was greasy and Ok , the second time I ordered chicken with broccoli To Go and when I opened the lid to my food I found a cocroach stuck on the chicken !!!!! Ugh, Disgusting!!!!! Tells you that place is not clean at all. Never ever going back again. I recommend this place if you like eating Cocroaches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've avoided this place for sometime, even though it's super close to work, just based on reviews. I decided to give it a whirl and have been very happy! The woman working the counter was pretty engrossed in her phone and didn't even seem to know I was there...but I do have to say that the food was delicious and I'll be happy to try it again.

I called the store because my food had mold on it and the lady who answered the phone was so rude . I was like ma’am I’m just letting u be away your meat is molded she said not my problem u can bring it back

The food has always been good...I just had delivered through beyond menu last night. I had the house fried rice, curry chicken, and the general's chicken with steamed rice. My order arrived about 35 minutes after my order, and the food was great as usual. I do carry out mostly, so I don't pay for the service...only the food.

I have been ordering from here for over a year now being from California I’m kinda picky. I always order extra spicy and crunchy and always comes out great tonight it was was amazing it was actually really spicy and crunchy best I’ve had in years thank you!!!

Do not ever eat here. The food is awful! When I asked to speak to a manager, a very rude young lady told me “you never come back here ok”. I’ve never worse service or food than this place. This is the only Chinese restaurant me and my family will ever order from. They are SO GENEROUS with their portions. The standout items are the CHICKEN ON A STICK, & their SHRIMP FRIED RICE( they give sooooo many shrimp). Their “hot oil” is phenomenal. This is a true hidden gem. Love this place.

Decent food but the restaurant could use some remodeling. Food safety score is also a bit concerning.

The food Is satisfactory, but the service needs a lot of work. Every time we order from this place (Which we continue to do out of convenience and hope) They forget some of our food. It has happened three times in a row now, and we are choosing a new place to order Chinese food.

IM ONLY putting a start just so I can do this, review THE FOOD IS BAD AND DISGUSTING. Gave me my food raw rice have been probably re cooked for the past days. Ask for a refund and told me no and if u had a problem to go to metro that they won’t get shut down for giving bad food.

Excellent quality, quantity, and service. Highly recommend the fried bean curd dinner and hot and sour soup. Veg. rolls were not good...too tough to eat. Chicken and broccoli did not have very much meat in it. Overall best Chinese dinner we've had in a very long time though.

Food was expensive and quality was poor. The dishes were way more vegetables than protein. Didn't care for the flavor at all.. there are better options in this price range.

The food was amazing, I am only taking off one star because one of the meals, the fried rice was wrong. But other than that, received the food and didn’t have a problem with the “lady” like most persons complained about. So you can give them a try.

I'm a truck driver from Atlanta and my company has a drop yard around the corner. Today I had to have some Chinese and couldn't wait to get back home so I gave China House a try. They didn't disappoint. General Tso was saucy and had great flavor.

WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN I was eating my rice with beef low mien and I found a cockroach in my food a services is so bad she’s so rude don’t recommend and I was a loyal customer who knows if this has happened before …

As long as you don't plan on staying there to eat your food it is a good place to get your Chinese grub from. I had the Curry Beef and it was delicious. They only have about 2 tables and 6 chairs so carry out is your best option.

We ordered the combo meals (1) Schzeun Chicken (2) General Taos Chicken that came with an egg roll and fried rice. It was great for a cheap, Chinese take out - something that we have been looking for.

I eat here at least twice a week. The house special fried rice is amazing! Good portions, quick turnaround, and definitely worth your time. Go with the Beef w/garlic sauce and thank me later..

I enjoy a meal from China House three or four times a month. I especially like the orange chicken and hot and sour soup with crab wonton. Also, the lunch special is very reasonably priced.

Usually good food. Hours definitely suspect. Called at 9:50 Thursday and was told they were closed. **which would be understandable IF they either closed at 10, or I wanted it delivered.
