"Great classes on Tuesdays for learning Mandarin year around"
"I was racially discriminated again just because I am white hispanic, the black supervisor declined my library card application and I overheard the black supervisor telling the other employees including the black security guard to condone and to co-sign her story as a defense to protect her story versus mines, this is an outrage ,I am notifying my congressmen about this act of bias and prejudice"
"Chinatown Branch Library is an absolute gem in our community! The vast collection of books, both new releases and classics, is a bookworm's paradise"
"I can't say enough good things about Chinatown Branch Library! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who were eager to assist me"
"I love this library and most of the LA public libraries that I have encountered so far"
Great classes on Tuesdays for learning Mandarin year around. Best selection of Chinese books. Love their Chinese books on CD and learning Chinese materials. If you reserve a book from any LA city library u get a fine if u don't pick it up . Parking is limited so you may want to give yourself some time to wait if needed. They have a program for kids. If a kid reads with library volunteer they get a free nice new book after reading with them after a few visits. There are also computers available. No need to sign up. Just walk up and type in library card number and pass. Only computers with blue sign on top have internet.
I was racially discriminated again just because I am white hispanic, the black supervisor declined my library card application and I overheard the black supervisor telling the other employees including the black security guard to condone and to co-sign her story as a defense to protect her story versus mines, this is an outrage ,I am notifying my congressmen about this act of bias and prejudice... REVERSE racism is at this library because of the supervisor , not to mention the dirty look she gave me ,how unprofessional and rude she was.
Chinatown Branch Library is an absolute gem in our community! The vast collection of books, both new releases and classics, is a bookworm's paradise. The serene atmosphere and comfortable seating areas make it a perfect spot to escape into a world of literature. The helpful staff is always ready to assist with recommendations or locating specific titles. The library's commitment to organizing engaging events and workshops for all ages is commendable. It truly is a haven for knowledge seekers and a treasure trove for book lovers!
I can't say enough good things about Chinatown Branch Library! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who were eager to assist me. The library is spacious, well-organized, and filled with a vast selection of books, magazines, and even digital resources. Whether I'm looking for a classic novel or the latest bestseller, I always find what I need. The atmosphere is peaceful and conducive to studying or simply enjoying a quiet read. This library truly deserves five stars!
I love this library and most of the LA public libraries that I have encountered so far. They have a great children's section with books, toys and reading tables. They do other scheduled activities such as book readings, building sessions and movies. We come here at least once per week. If you dont have a library card you need to get one.
THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST LIBRARY I'VE EVER WENT TO THERE IS A LOT OF HOMELESS PEOPLE AND THE RESTROOMS SMELL LIKE DECOMPOSING BODIES, NOT TO MENTION THEIR IS A RANDOM PUDDLE RIGHT NEAR THE URINALS. IF I COULD I WOULD RATE IT A 0 STAR. ALSO THE LIBRARY IS SOMEWHAT NOISY, NOT A GREAT PLACE TO STUDY.
This is my local public library. I am constantly there picking up my books and dvds as well. I am so happy how convenient it is and how I value the staff working there. They are great and thankful for keeping the community interested in reading and welcoming all people.
This library is so nice and is in the heart of China Town. All the employees are very cordial like the way it supposed to be as public employees. Dumb up for this library and their employees keep the good cordial service.
Very alternative selection of books Druggies like to come around afteroon time and early evening to this bathroom, selling stuff. They like freshing up while their clothes get rinsed in sinks.
Workers are super friendly and helpful. The environment is clean, appropriately quiet, and with essential resources (printers, scanners, copiers). A really nice neighborhood library
Convienent location. Very nice, knowledgeable staff. Large free parking lot. Great children's librarian who does children's story-time and has toys for quiet play and study.
Very clean, quiet, and well-stocked. It provides a safe, quiet, and convenient space to read and is a great place for kids to study after school.
This is a place for bums to sleep at they always harass patrons especially this bald black guy. It seems like they only favor blacks
This library is easy to walk in and you can check out a book effortlessly. There is assistance if you need help with anything.
To small and the hours never seem to be right. Also a lot of homeless doing illegal things on the computers. Don't go here!
There are some people around, but not too crowded. Just feel like they are missing some books about foreign languages.
Very small. Lots of Chinese literature and a a good selection of dvds. Nice ladies who work there and clean.
Love this library. My children did Summer Reading here when they attended Castlar Elementary. Great staff!
Nice cozy library with free wifi and air conditioning. Plenty of newspaper, magazines and books to read.
Dangerous place to read books. I noticed not too much security hanging around as well.
The Asian lady on Jan 2 do not help anyone computer time is 2:53pm.her work time.
Nice small library with a decent children's section and good hours.
It's doesn't have a smell like other library's clean and organized
They have a lot of Japanese MANGA! My kids love this Library :)
