The visit here was by accident as I was unaware of this chocolate store. I was on my way elsewhere, and decided to go in Well, what a pleasant surprise. I love chocolate, but just realized that not all chocolate is the same. The selection and variety, and creativity of anything chocolate exists in this store. While walking around and trying to decide what to buy, my son bought their spicy hot chocolate. Dark chocolate, almond milk, and cayenne pepper. Rich, chocolately, and delicious. We bought truffles($2.25 or $2.30 per piece), chocolate covered marshmallows, chocolate covered orange slices, and a chocolate caramel nougat bar. Most items were $8. The woman at the counter was friendly, and talkative, and chatted us up about chocolate and the history of this business. When we returned home after our Canadian vacation in Winnipeg, we hosted a Taste of Manitoba event and served these chocolates for dessert. Well, just a little bit of a hit, and everyone appreciated us sharing. Please try these chocolates, or even order them online, as you don't have to buy them in-store. I am not so sure that I will wait for my next trip there to buy more.
I visited Constance Popp for the first time while doing some Christmas shopping this year. The shop itself is so charming, both inside and out. They have adorable wicker shopping baskets, which I thought was a nice touch. I went in for a few chocolate frogs that I’d seen on the website, and left with beautiful gifts for 8 coworkers and a frog for myself. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even packaged up my gifts separately in little cellophane bags, sealing them with “Made in Manitoba” stickers. I especially loved looking at the individual chocolates in the display case - tiny works of edible art. I’m looking forward to going back to choose some for a friend’s upcoming birthday. Really glad I finally decided to go in person, and would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a special gift or treat for someone with a sweet tooth. Or a great place to stop in and treat yourself.
Went at like 3:30pm (i went during a week day after my work shift) and half their display was empty. The remaining chocolate in the display was 'pre purchased', so there was litteraly no chocolate to buy. The very first time i ever stepped foot in a chocolate shop, and will be the last time. Litteral waste of time and gas. Should i have to call and ask questions before going to a physical store to buy a chocolate or two? I didnt think that was mandatory. I just dont get how a chocolate shop makes online orders in prioity of a customer that walks in to physically buy it, i guess you have to order everything online now. Even chocolate. If you dont want customers to make a negative review, dont sell all your chocolate online.
The chocolates are good but the customer service is lacking. My mother & I stopped in to buy a few chocolates today, as she had been there before and really liked them. The assistant that first greeted us was pleasant & helpful; however, a woman who I assume is the owner based on previous reviews came in while we were browsing. When we were checking out, she came to the front without any acknowledgement, rang up our order, and gave us our total. My mom wanted to pay with debit, to which the woman rudely said she preferred cash but fine, she'd accept debit... which was odd considering the large sign next to the register said specifically they'd prefer payment in either cash OR debit.
Just got home from a wonderful evening of learning and fun, at Chocolatier Constance Popp’s Christmas Tree workshop. We were treated to lots of delicious chocolates (and took home many too!) by the kind and knowledgeable staff and had the opportunity to try chocolate making- not as easy as it looks. Constance and her staff were warm and welcoming- a perfect way to spend a cold Manitoba evening. If you are a chocolate lover, I would 100% recommend that you take part in one of the workshops- the quality of the chocolate and the passion of the staff make this a evening to remember!
Beautiful chocolates! You can pick up since really unique souvenirs or gifts for people out of town. Try the liquid chocolate. She's also won awards for her ice cream (instagram worthy with a delicate chocolate butterfly)... And I believe there's also lemonade now? I haven't tried that yet but I saw a sign for it. There are other items that are Manitoba that she sells in the store so it's a nice place to stop it you need gifts that reflect the region. They are currently offering chocolate afternoon tea. If you can get a group of 4 together is under $20 each.
It’s always a lovely experience visiting this charming shop in the heart of St. Boniface. I visited in February with my 11 and 12 year old children in search of a Valentine’s gift with for their Oma. They were delighted with the chocolate-dipped strawberries they were spoiled with, and the selection of handmade chocolate creations on display. The owner is lovely and happily assisted us in choosing the perfect gift. Constance Popp is must if you’re looking for a unique gift for the chocolate lover, or to indulge yourself!
Constance Popp Chocolatier is a lovely, locally owned chocolatier shop located on Provencher Blvd in Saint-Boniface, Winnipeg, MB. Constance Popp is known all over North America. I believe she has produced special orders for the swag bags for all of the special guests at one of the big award shows in the US. ( Academy awards??) The variety of chocolate and the creativity of the creations makes this the place to go for the chocoholic on your list. Constance also offers coffee, hot chocolate and pastries, made on site.
Small but spacious store. Wasn't busy at all on a Tuesday afternoon. Was greeted soon after we arrived. Decided to try their chocolate shake for $7. The staff were friendly. I had to wait a while before a staff member in the kitchen noticed I was waiting. There was only one employee on the floor and he was busy with a customer. She came and took my order. I got my shake within 10 minutes. It was very rich and well worth the money. Will definitely come back to try the fudge ice cream sandwich!
What a delightful experience tonight! I went to a chocolate tree workshop. The staff was welcoming and professional. They had so many wonderful thinks to taste test. From the hot chocolates to the birch syrup chocolates, they were all soo yummy! Each staff member present was available and ready to answer questions as well as offer help. They even let me make purchases afterwards. You will have s fabulous experience here whether you come to a workshop or just to to make a purchase!
Ordered some amazing custom made truffles as the finishing touch to a corporate event. Constance was amazing to work with, had excellent ideas and kept my budget in mind as we figured out what we wanted the order to look like. She also had great packaging suggestions and the order was delivered on time and ready to go. Would definitely recommend for a high quality way to showcase one of Winnipeg's finest!
I visited twice and it was a delight each time. The pistachio lemon gelato was devine and everything the name promised. The mango passion fruit white chocolate bar was delicious. They say their ingredients are ethically sourced and it is reflected in the price. The attending staff was friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. Definitely a place to go if visiting or to treat yourself if you live in Winnipeg.
My family all love Constance Popp chocolates and find every excuse to visit the shop. I’ve even made my kids in to chocolate snobs by feeding them these special treats. We love the Manitoba mud pies and the various small batch chocolates they sell. Do yourself a favour and stop in!

Constance Popp chocolatier is the best place to buy chocolates! Not only is it hand crafted with love but it’s beyond delicious. Constance and her staff put a lot of care into what they do. Their creativity shows in the products and their smiles at the counter are felt. I highly recommend supporting this shop as they are local and amazing. Keep up the great creative chocolate works of art!
I absolutely love this shop! Their staff is super friendly, the chocolate is so tasty! Not only that but their presence is such a great hub for the community! The owner cares about Manitoba and Winnipeg and it shows! My favourite is the Manitobar made with ingredients from Manitoba. I also really like the dark chocolate almond bark. OH and in the summer I LOVE their house made ice cream!
Wow. Was walking by and saw the lemonade sign and couldn’t resist. Ended up with some amaaaaazing chocolate covered marshmallows and two spectacular glasses of real lemonade. Our server was very helpful, cheerful and was passionate and knowledgeable about the products. We sat outside and enjoyed the local St B ambiance as we sipped our lemonades. I’ll be back for sure!!
I love this place so much! Everything is amazing! I stopped in and Constance helped me pick chocolates and told me about the I love Lucy chocolate and that they made a video on YouTube! It's called I love Tina it was just like the I love Lucy skit they did a great job! It's worth every bit of time to check it out if you haven't already it's one of my favorite stops
Came here for home made gelato. It came with a beautiful chocolater butterfly. The pistatio lemon chocolate tasted rich an full of flavor!! I loved it. The coffee latte didn't taste creamy at all. It might be actually coffee based. That wasn't really what we were expect and honestly disappointed. By the way, you can get 10% off if you are we heart wpg card members
WOW! This place is a beautiful hidden secret! The artistic flair of the chocolates is inspiring. I've never seen such intricate and beautiful creations before! If you look in the pictures I've attached you can see how much detail they put into the Human Rights Museum piece! I almost dont want to eat it, they look so beautiful. Wow. 11/10
It's always a joy to visit Chocolatier Constance Popp in historic St. Boniface. One of our favourite places to visit when in the city. Great selection of locally made chocolate and the staff are absolutely amazing. They also make some of the best milkshakes you'll find anywhere - try the chocolate and cherry milkshakes!
I love fresh, local, high quality chocolates loaded with nutrients! It is a beautiful store in the beautiful neighbourhood and something amazing to discover.
I have coming to this shop for years and have always received excellent service. Their products are high quality. The changing products and creativity in this shop always brings a smile to my face. Whether you are a local or a visitor to Winnipeg, I encourage you to experience this Chocolatier Constance Popp.
Received an assortment box of chocolates as a gift. These chocolates are extraordinary both in presentation and taste/quality. Unfortunately there was a bit of a mix up with our delivery but the owner was quick to rectify the situation upon contact. Would recommend as a unique gift
We went for the full chocolatier experience, Constance spoke about how chocolate was originated, how she acquired the expertise, and we were blessed to experience the whole chocolate making experience. Was very fun and informative!! Would definitely go back and recommend to others!
I attended one of the workshops recently and it was delightful! Not only did we learn about the history of chocolate, we sampled so many fabulous bonbons and drinks, got to practice a little technique, and, of course, had a delicious creation to take home! A truly special evening!
Chocolatier has the coolest chocolate designs and best tasting chocolate I have ever had. My daughter and I were in Winnipeg for the women’s World Cup in 2015 and saw large chocolate soccer balls in the window and we were hooked. The wide range of designs are a lot of fun.
It is an amazing chocolate shop!!!!!! Everything you could think of & more! Great gift ideas & a little something for yourself!

I stopped by with my Mom on our last day in Winnipeg. The service was great, and there are so many chocolates to choose from - I had to drag my mom out. Prices are similar to chocolateries I go to in Quebec City. I’ll be back the next time I’m in the city.

Order the hot chocolate before you go for a run, it's the best hot chocolate I've ever experienced! Also, their cakes are amazing, especially post run :) Enjoy if you get a chance to visit Chocolatier Constance Popp and her team in Winnipeg.
I have visited the shop many times and have had exceptional customer service each time. The staff were always so welcoming and I have always been greeted promptly. The owner is a wonderful woman and has always been able to meet our needs. I
Ordered a large amount of their 'Manitoba Made' Chocolate Bars for a company event. The customer service was great, they actually saved the day when they were able to supply us with additional chocolate bars after we ran out of the original

Constance is always creating new local treats and stunning creations. There is always something new to see in her shop, with specialty ice cream in the summer to hot chocolate in the winter
I loved seeing the valentines gnomes what a cute idea, it would make a perfect gift ! I was impressed with the variety of yummy treats they had. Even dairy and vegan options.
Amazingly good chocolate made locally with care. Bon bons, bars, barks, specialty items... you name it, they've got it. The Prairie Cow Pie (pictured) is one of my faves!
Chocolatier Constance Popp provided us with some client Christmas gift packages. Incredibly well made and delicious. Love the local touches to everything.
