The ambiance was ok but the seating wasn't very comfortable and one got a feeling of cramped spaces. Like most fusion restos, we had to select from a good variety of bases, flavours and proteins producing over 50 combinations in Cantonese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Pan Asian and Oriental flavours. Though many people like this concept but I never found it convincing. Good food is not about the option of mixing various things at the spot and come up with a different dish every time....quality cooking is an art and it takes quite a bit of imagination, skill and care to produce a quality dish. And then there is an expertise that a cook (or a restaurant) acquires over a period of time. So an outstanding cook of Chinese food may not be that good in desi or Arabic foods per se. Now Thai, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Japanese etc are quite different cooking styles and developing expertise in all of them by a single restaurant is very difficult. So most fusion restos produce a food that is similar in taste, regardless of the flavour that you select simply because the cook and the cooking place is same. So this was about the concept basically, not a criticism on Chop Chop Wok per se. The restaurant management has done a pretty decent job managing the place. The prawn dish that we ordered in Cantonese style was good but the beef in Thai style wasn't much to our liking. Quality of meat wasn't good and we kept chewing it for quite some time. Overall, a nice place to go if you aran't fussy about this thing that Chinese must taste like Chinese food and Thai must taste like Thai food.

Chop Chop Wok has been around for quite some time, yet I hadn't had the opportunity to go until recently. My decision to finally visit was influenced by a colleague who really enjoys their rice bowls. I opted for buckwheat noodles with katsu chicken and Korean spicy chicken with jasmine rice. However, the food didn't quite live up to the expectations that had been built up. The portions were disappointingly small, which was a bit of a letdown. Despite that, I have to admit that the flavors were unique and had a satisfying level of spiciness, so I'd consider it decent. The ambiance is certainly a highlight, possibly one of the reasons people frequent this spot. Overall, it's a suitable choice for a comfortable dining experience, but it's best not to set your hopes too high in terms of the food.

Chop Chop Wok has won me over with its vibrant Pan Asian flavors. The open kitchen and open table setup add a delightful energy to the dining experience. Having frequented the place several times, I can vouch for the consistently good food. The 3 Step Wok is a definite standout, allowing you to create your own flavor adventure. And let's talk about the Crispy Chicken Salad – it's become a personal favorite, balancing freshness and crunch perfectly. Chop Chop Wok isn't just about delicious Pan Asian dishes; it's about enjoying them in a lively ambiance. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, this place offers a great mix of flavors and atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Love the food. The best thing about Chop Chop Wok is that it gives you good value for the price. Absolutely love their Korean Fried Chicken, which is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED For their 3 step wok, I recommended their Cantonese Chicken with Egg Noodles. Their Pan Asian chicken with egg noodles too zesty (which isn't exactly something pan asian) requested them to fix it, they happily catered the request (+5 for hospitality) Although for dessert, their Fried Icecream wasn't on-point. It felt like a ball of ice-cream coated in oatmeal. It was not least bit crunchy.

This is my third time ordering and dining in at chop chop and I have to say the food was pathetic. I ordered the 3 step wok 3 times and the beef was chewy and undercooked every single time and the pad thai literally had no Asian taste influencing it and not to be disrespectful but the smell of it reminded my friend and I of dog food as we own dogs. Anyway besides that the tissue served to us had chilli oil stains from a previous user. 4 of us ate today and none of us enjoyed our experience. All the food was packed for takeaway and this says something when you come to dine in. Chop chop has definitely degraded its standards and please if ownership is reading this do something about it.

#ChopChopWok Karachi. A decent mainly Chinese eatery with some Japanese dishes. The #Ramen was nice since there are not much option for that. It could do with more chicken and much less coriander. Carrots were diced in really small cubes and a personal preference for me would be thin slices. The noodles were excellent and proper ramen noodles. Broth a little salty for my taste. No boiled egg, fish cake or seaweed. Providing extra chili with crushed peanuts was a nice touch. Good option for chinese food and for ramen its acceptable but the search continues but #Wasabi Lahore does this dish better. Four stars since Chinese food items are Good.

We ordered it for the first time. The dumplins were great and spicy but had a great taste. whereas korean fried chiken was extremely spicy, although it was with sweet sauce but had a thunder of spices all ovee. Dint knew it had that many spices. Overall, it was a good experience, but i would personally ask for mild spices if we knew it had this much spice. Well, i would like to try their other dishes as well. Not much pocket friendly but still on an average price. Hoping to have good experiences in the future.

Chop chop wok is one of those places that I've been to since it opened it first outlet at khadda market. That outlet has since closed down but chop chop has opened various new outlets. It has always been one of those places which are the best in comfort food and their 3 step woks are the best. However with new outlets and tons of addition to the basic menu since it's beginning, the quality and consistency that I associated with this place has gone down and hence the three stars. Their soups their Ramen their woks are not the same each time. Much needs to be done to restore it to its former glory or else it will go down in Karachis food history as the 'also ran' oriental restaurants

Had an udon noodle bowl with katsu chicken - the chicken by itself was a bit dry but together with the Japanese sauce, it was very well balanced. Also indulged in the classic sushi platter where spicy tuna roll was actually properly spicy tuna and nothing was drowning in mayo. Fully recommend this place. Also their ac was working top notch in this scorching weather, despite having a houseful. Great experience overall.

We visited the place today. It was not bad overall. Ambiance was nice and friendly staff. I will start from the starters. We ordered wasabi prawn and sticky BBQ wings. The prawns we're definitely delicious. However the wings lacked the sticky part and but they were definitely spicy. Once the mint lemonade arrived, it was too sweet. Lacked the lemon aspect of tangy. The food was ok in terms of taste. Not really a defined taste for the specific order, the Oriental sauce was not great at all. We were disappointed in the quality and taste. 3 of us, left the food because we didn't enjoy the taste.

  • Eating Bro (EB)

Have changed my review slightly since pervious. The quality has become inconsistent over the years. Was 5 star rating for me before lost 1 star over the inconsistency which was not an issue before. Still a good place to enjoy Pan Asian in a casual comfort setting however taking the casual aspect the pricing isnt like before which was affordable fast casual now its priced at nearly formal rates to portion sizes. In terms of overall flavor one of the better if not best option in pan asain cuisine.

Recently the taste of cuisine has gone down. From the Far Eastern taste, it has moved to, possibly, local taste. Food has become so spicy that one cannot appreciate the ingredients they eat. For instance, satay sauce which is on the sweeter side has become spicy here. One reason could be meeting the price point target. But in this pursuit taste has been compromised severely.

Chop Chop Wok offered a satisfying Pan-Asian dining experience. The miso soup and crispy salmon rolls were highlights, bursting with flavor. The Thai cashew chicken was delectable, and the pan-Asian noodles were a perfect complement. Mint lemonade and lemon iced tea were refreshing. However, the chicken katsu fell short, lacking the expected flavor punch. Overall, a value-for-money option with some excellent dishes.

Tried the Japanese egg noodle bowl. A bit mix of sweet and savoury. Felt something missing on my palate. Topped it with their serving of peanuts and chill sauce, and Voilà! A good immaculate bowl of Asian noodles! I personally added an egg on my bowl. If you are an egg lover. Yolk the Wok!

If you are craving a bowl of rice or noodles with curry or any topping, there is no better place than Chop Chop Wok that I would recommend. Food is simply exquisite. However, I would be wary of price a bit as it can cost anywhere between 1500 to 2500 per head as of July 2023.

The acoustics of the place was so disbalanced that we could not even hear the waiter speak. It was so loud it literally felt like people were screaming just to be heard. We ended up taking away the food because the ambience was u bearable. Generally, the food is decent. Had asked for the order to be made less spicy but instead received it extra spicy. Would really suggest the management rethink the acoustics of the space.

I was tempted to give Chop Chop a four star rating. Unfortunately I've had major issues with their service on multiple occasions. Despite the good food, their indifferent service leaves a bad taste in your mouth. No pun intended. And their portion serving has also gone down. So good that a Chinese Malaysian approves! I love the build your noodle menu + curry laksa. Curry laksa - the broth wasn’t that rich and flavourful enough, but it is still quite nice and used fresh ingredient. A place to be when you miss home or wanting to try East Asian cuisine.

We ordered 1 customize bowl ( egg noodles+ chicken +pan Asia sauce) that's really good 7 /10 spicy and the chilli tinch was amazing while the other one was curry laksa that's not good, not a proper Chinese dish so I mark 3/10 for this. Otherwise, service and environment was good. …

As always amazing food. Value for money, keep at least 15 to 20mins waiting time when you visit. Don't forget to keep cash as they don't accept cards.
