Everything was so on point, that I would probably consider this place a top go-to within the entire Twin Cities, regardless of cuisine types! First of all, this place is extremely affordable and that is a huge plus in my book, because it allows me to have no worries when deciding on when to go back. Second, I loved the idea of having appetizer versions of entrées, because my partner and I definitely tried many different types of dishes and was able to enhance our experience that way while not overstuffing our stomachs. Third, the food was incredible on every level! I was craving the vegetarian mousaka, and it was so tasty that even now, 9 hours later, I still am thinking about it. We ordered a few classic Greek plates, like souvlaki, sanagaki, dolmathes, etc., and they have all turned out very well. The pork was tender; the grape leaves were flavorful; the pita bread was warm and soft; the spinach was fresh. A special shoutout for the galatopoureko and the baklava, too! Both desserts were out of this world. If I have to nitpick, then the only thing I will say is that for the price, the portion is just slightly small. But I also understand with inflation nowadays, some restaurants have chosen to reduce sizes while maintaining the same prices, which I appreciate as well. If that's the case with Christos, then all good! Overall I strongly recommend this place as a spot that you take your friend to when you need to casually catch up without doing fancy stuff, or that you bring your friend from out of town to in order to get a good feel of food in the Twin Cities!

We typically cook on Greek Easter but this year was a bit different. My momma isn't able to do stairs at the moment and we wanted to have our traditional meal with the full family. We had the BEST food and service at Christos! Our table enjoyed all of our favorite traditional items and then some. We all have industry experience and our server was absolute TOP tier! She catered to us and was so wonderful with my youngest who is autistic and isn't always at ease in restaurants. Atmosphere at 3 pm was perfect and exactly how we wanted to celebrate. Efharisto to the wonderful staff at Christos! And thank you for being accessible to all patrons!

Vegetarian options
Plenty of great healthy veg options! Village salad was fantastic and even had capers!
Dietary restrictions
Our server overheard me mention that it's tough being Greek and having a weird tomato sensitivity. She offered to change my salad but I told her I was so impressed by the portion and wanted to eat my tomatoes regardless Phenomenal service!

Parking
Parking right next to the building is a great feature in south Minneapolis.
Kid-friendliness
We had three teens and an autistic 4-year-old. Our server was exceptionally accommodating and knowledgeable.
Wheelchair accessibility
I scheduled reservation online and called to ensure wheelchair ease and the gent who answered the phone was great. Very easy access and accommodating space.
We had a party of 8 for a holiday gathering, and Christos was perfect. The difference of going to a family-owned restaurant is the charm and personal attention that isn't like the robotic service of large chain restaurants. And the food made from family recipes...you can taste the love put into it. We had appetizers and a variety of main dishes - all delicious - and you can't beat the price. We were shocked, especially given current restaurant prices. Excellent on every level!

I ordered falafel and gyro for takeout and they were excellent. Both well-seasoned and falafel was filled with tasty tabbouleh greens. The service was fast; for Sunday lunch, they got my order ready in 5 mins. I didn’t dine in, but from the entryway, the vibe seemed soothing and relaxing with dimotiki guitar playing in the background. I will be coming back to try other items on the menu.

My daughter and I spent a rainy Friday afternoon at the art museum and found this lovely restaurant not far away. The acorn squash and apple soup was an amazing pairing with the chicken hash lunch. We topped off our meal with baklava and coffee. Very reasonably priced as well. 10 out of 10 we will be back!!

The service and ambience of the restaurant was pretty good. However, the Kabob plate that we ordered was not that great. The Kabobs were so hard and dry, it felt like left overs were served. The chicken wrap and chicken pocket along with soup was just awesome.
