Clean restaurant with a lot of space. I got the classic club(hubby ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast shown in the video and pic), which was tasty except for the very crunchy toast. I suppose I will have to specify very lightly toasted in the future, as one piece was burnt in the middle, and it was overall a bit painful for my mouth by the end. The flavor of the club was good, and their onions were very fresh, as well as their ranch. Thank you for that! The sampler appetizer was good. It had mozzarella sticks, steak fingers, chicken fingers, and onion rings. Decent price at $9.99, and you can almost get full just off that (for 2 people anyway). I also enjoyed their coffee.

I was surprised by the number of people there for brunch. Despite the restaurant being full, we were served promptly! Brought our baby and server was kind enough to give us the corner seat so we have space to park the stroller. All the servers are very friendly and helpful. Our food arrived in less than 10 minutes and the it was delicious. Hubby ordered french toast + biscuits and gravy and I had the Fisherman's seafood delight. Portions were just right (I finished my plate)! Restaurant is clean and service is excellent. Food is affordable too. Definitely well-managed. Thank you!

First time here and it was a good experience even tho it was packed. I was with 3 other people and spent 57 on food which was pretty reasonable and surprising figured it would be more. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to our table I believe her name was Mireya. For the food part everything looked and tasted great for the 3 people that was with me but my Denver Omelet was missing the Denver part lol it was really small compared to other Denver Omelets I've had but tasted good plus they cooked my hashbrowns just the way I wanted which was a plus so other than my scrawny omelet I really like this place and I will be back

The bread on the sandwich was so flipping soft!!! I've never had cream cheese on a sandwich but I did here and let me tell you... it was great. From the baked potato, the bowl of fruit, to the drinks everything was phenomenal. I look forward to experiencing the other dishes they have to offer. Great food all around and what's more is the phenomenal table service we received from a server named Sharon.She totally rocked it and knocked it out of the park. (The kind of service where you drink never stays empty long... if it evens goes that low). The prices are decent and truly a steal for the quality of the food. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance is relaxed.

We were impressed with Chubby's home cooking restaurant as the food was excellent. The restaurant was very nice and provided cloth napkins with no table cloths. They have several homemade desserts to chose from as well. I had the chicken fried chicken meal which was perfectly breaded with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy and crispy okra for under $12. The waitstaff was on top of things, friendly and made us want for nothing. We definitely will be coming back to Chubby's in the future and would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Chubby's is the quintessential, old-fashioned diner...a real institution. We are from out of town, and stopped in for an early Sunday breakfast. The staff was friendly, efficient, and a lot of fun, talking and kidding with us. They have a huge breakfast menu. Our breakfasts were wonderful, with nice sized portions, reasonable pricing, and quick service. As we looked around, we could tell that many of the folks eating were regulars, they knew each other and the waitstaff. Great 'family' vibe. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in Dallas.

Unfortunately I never got to try any of the food because the service was so bad. Walking in it seemed like it was a place where people have been eating for generations. Seemed that the waitresses gave attention to their regulars and not new customers coming in. Me and my family sat at our table for a while and no one ever came to take our drink order or food order so we left. There was even a waitres a table away from us folding silverware who never cared to ask us if we were helped or bothered to get a waitress to help us. :/

THIS IS THE BEST COUNTRY COMFORT FOOD, I have had in a long time. CHUBBYS is an oasis of comfort The food is delicious - burgers, breakfast plates, great sandwiches, deserts CHUBBYS is like that place that rhythms like "Wennys" but better. Think IHOP, but with WAY less waiting times, better food and bigger portions. The inside reminds me of Dennis (though I haven't been to one in years, so don't ask me why), but with a ton of elderly folk. I came here for breakfast. Their prices are very fair. Their food is yummy. My scrambled eggs were light and fluffy. I had the French Toast (Mama's Everyday Specials). It came with 2 eggs, bacon and sausage. I should have ordered all sausage. It was a little bit on the spicy side, which I like. Customer service was excellent!

1st time at Chubby's and the only good thing I can say is that the waitress was very attentive and nice as well as the additional servers. The establishment and bathrooms could REALLY use a good cleaning (food crumbs EVERYWHERE, restroom trashcans overflowing, restroom doorhandles dirty etc.) and the menus where sticky and dirty. The food...left us with a BAD impression. Everything came out either cold or warm however, the cornbread was good.

This family style diner has been a mainstay in Dallas for as long as I can remember. Their home style meals feature ample portions sizes and tasty food. Tonight I tried their Gyro plate. Although not quite as authentic as some of the Mediterranean restaurants I’ve been to, it was quite good. The French fries were amazing as was the Greek salad. My friend ordered her favorite—chicken and waffles. An added plus - the service was excellent.

The staff is extremely friendly and greet you with a smile. My table was seated immediately. The amount of food you get is right for the price. My dinner was tasty and filling. There is plenty of parking. This was my first time here and will be recommending this restaurant to my friends for a nice family setting.

Chubby's is a unique find in Dallas. The place has a unique vibe. At first it looks like a IHOP then a Cafeteria, or maybe it is both, but the food is great. Its very friendly for all ages. Good service. Even though it was the busy lunch rush, my group of six was seated quickly. From food order time to food on the table seemed to take longer than normal but the food was hot and fresh and delicious. Not a fan of New York strips, figured I would try it anyway ask for it medium well and it's overcooked with a lot of different seasonings non which contain salt totally totally disappointed that I couldn't even get the steak cook the way I requested. It is so tough I've had to transfer to a real plate and use a real knife because I'm at work and hungry argh

We had dinner on a Saturday night. The New York Strip steak was fried and tasteless. The salad was excellent, and the croutons were light and crisp. I asked to purchase a water glass for my collection, but they refused. We will not be back.

Haven't been to chubby's in about 15 years. Went with family recently and it hasn't changed a bit. Great food and service!

The hostess/cashier was not that nice. She had an attitude and never smiled. Took a star off because of her. The wait staff was wonderful and the food was great.

Seated quickly, then a friendly server came and she took my order. I had a burger with a fried egg and it was really delicious. I had a short time to lunch and appreciated her bringing my items and bill promptly. Thank you!

For was cooked well and pretty fast. Ordered thru Ubereats, arrived in less than an hour and still hot. Food could've used some salt, but was pretty good. Lots of items to choose from. Would definitely order from again.

Kind of bland but good for people with higher blood pressure and diabetics for this reason. Nothing a little salt/ pepper shakers can’t cure.

I was disappointed . I called to order 4 pieces of cornbread and the young lady informed me they were nice size. When I picked up. They were basically bite size pieces. Maybe they should portion better. The taste was ok

The food was great the customers there seemed to bring such a welcoming spirit with them. It’s was not a good pleasant at checkout. There was a problem with my order and the way the cashier handled it was very rude.

we pass by this place ocassionaly and have noticed it's always busy. Today we stopped by for breakfast. It was excellent, and so was the staff. That explains the reason it's often busy. It was well worth the stop.

20 miles away but worth it. Same food as Bull's Pen Cafe in Mesquite but better.

We absolutely love this place and April really took excellent care of us tonight. She was polite, attentive and knowledgable about the menu and specials. On top of that, one of the cleanest restaurants in town.

This place is definitely a spot everyone should visit at least once.Guaranteed you will be back for more. Food and service is great.

I would it give a 5 start but Improvement in cleaning of tables is need it but food is Great!! And waitress always smiling. Rio Grande Skillet is super good!!

The luncheon specials are good and the menu covers enough bases to satisfy most tastes. Friendly and helpful wait staff a hallmark of this real deal diner.

Down home cooking, nice staff, reasonable prices and a good selection. Breakfasts are the star for me. I love my Chubby's coffee cup too.

There was a cute waitress here. Chubby's Favorite is okay. The Chicken Fried Chicken is really good when they have that special.
