This museum is well put together. Loved learning about the history of the LDS faith. My favorite was the 180 degree screen of the Sacred Grove. It's as if i was sitting in the grove myself. Every year they host an artist and its Minerva Teighert currently. I love her work and her story. Being a woman artist in the 1800's whilst being a mother and wife is quite remarkable, as is her gift. Each painting is finished when the story is finished. And i love that she uses red in all of her paintings. Oh! They have a lovely gift shop that sponsors local Christian artists and more!!!

I love to come here and remind myself of what people went through for what they believed and see parts of history. It's a good time for education, reflection, and learning. The missionaries here are always polite, welcoming, and helpful and the exhibits are great. It's always a sacred and sobering time when I get to the death masks and think about what it is I believe and would possibly die for. Great place to visit if you're a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or not. You'll get something either way.

It’s a good place to understand more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints’ history. The first vision video is amazing, and the environment is relaxing and help us to take time to understand about the things that were happening with church pioneers. On the top floor there is an art exhibition, made by people from all over the world. Arts related to Jesus Christ, the scriptures, principles of the gospel and much more. Even those who are not a member of the church will like this museum, and feel peace when walking through the spaces that tell stories and arts. There is room for children to play and learn as well.
If you're interested in learning about the history of Mormonism, this is the place for you. It's a free museum with detailed descriptions of how it started and evolved from the 1800s to today. Highly recommended for anyone interested in religion history. The museum staff were very courteous, helpful, and shared useful information about the museum

The museum is an informative and inspiring look at the early history of an uniquely American religion. From it's origins in New York you will follow the path of Mormon pilgrims to Ohio, Missouri, and Utah in their search for Zion.

I've been here before, but this time, I found out there is a Children's area. It was very cool. I think it is a nice quiet place to look at paitings, LDS church history, take the kids and shop. The water is very overpriced but the coin souvenirs are very cheap.
