We went on Saturday Dec 18th to See Spiderman:No Way Home We arrived a few minutes late yet surprised parking wasn't an issue. (Good) Upon entry we were asked for our Covid-19 vaccination QR code (good). They did not ask us screening questions. We purchased food and beverage. I couldn't find the Scene app or site on my phone. I found something called Scene Plus.....The food service person was polite but didn't know anything about it. Unfortunately I couldn't scan my $60 purchase (popcorn, water, candy for 3 people). Upon entry into Theatre 6 I was shocked to see a packed room. Except for the front 2 rows. Every row was full. The attached picture was taken before the start of the movie to show how packed the theatre was. Our seats (booked in advance and cost more than standard seats) were located all the way at the top/back left. D-Box. There was a man seated in one of our seats and he moved to one of the other D-Box seats which I believe was supposed to be empty for social distancing. The D-Box seat concept is impressive. However as the movie progressed I found the seat vibration annoying and I decreased the intensity. In my opinion I don't think it's worth the extra $. Especially since the seats are far from the screen and not center. Btw during the entire movie I didn't notice any staff observe or enter the theatre. After the movie we went over to the gaming room. Several machines took our credits but did not function. Interesting it was the machines that involve winning gift cards and electronics. The staff were polite and returned the credits to the cards. Unfortunately rebooting the machines did not fix the problem. If anyone reaches the bottom of this review and plans to see the same movie, Note: there are 2 post credit scenes. One is After ALL the credits scroll. Enjoy!

I am thrilled to share my fantastic experience at Cineplex Cinemas Oakville and VIP. This cinema offers an exceptional entertainment package that caters to every moviegoer's needs. The VIP experience is truly a cut above the rest. From the moment you step into the lounge, you're treated like a VIP. The cozy and elegant atmosphere sets the tone for a luxurious movie night. The wide range of food and drink options available in the lounge makes for a delightful culinary journey. The theaters themselves are state-of-the-art, providing the perfect setting for an immersive cinematic experience. The plush seating and ample legroom enhance comfort, allowing you to fully enjoy the movie without any distractions. What truly stood out to me was the exemplary service. The staff members are not only friendly and attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the offerings and facilities. Their enthusiasm for ensuring you have the best time possible is evident in every interaction. Cineplex Cinemas Oakville and VIP also offers an impressive lineup of the latest films, ensuring there's always something for every movie enthusiast. Huge kudos to the entire team for consistently raising the bar in the world of cinema entertainment.

VIP theatre here is on the smaller side despite having to walk up a few flights of stairs. It's not a full 5 star VIP experience for a few reasons. There's only 1 washroom for the entirety of the 3 VIP theatre rooms located upstairs, which I think is pretty low, especially when there's only 1 stall for the men's washroom, it's also pretty outdated, because you know they can't shut it down to renovate it, otherwise you'd be forced to go downstairs to access more washrooms. Secondly the VIP theatre rooms feel less roomy compared to the VIP locations at Etobicoke and Winston Churchill. There are couches which are comfy but the leg room is not the greatest so it felt like I was still in the regular theatre room. They also do not have recliner seats for VIP room 1. I'm not sure if they forgot to close the curtain to reduce the projector light glow but from the movie I was watching, it was bright enough to cast a shadow from chairs above me which isn't a really nice experience at all. I was sitting on row F which is 4 rows in front of the projector, which I recommend for a comfortable viewing distance and row E for a bit more immersion. I'm a little disappointed that there was quite a bit of projection leak from where I sat. I'd have to say I definitely don't think this location is worth the VIP experience and I'd recommend going a little further to the Winston Churchill where they have heated and cooling seats with a lot more leg room and with chairs that recline. In addition, the Winston Churchill location has none of the problems I described above.

Really disappointed with my experience on Sunday evening. My boyfriend and I come to this location all the time and have never had an issue….That is until Sunday night. We went to see the new Hunger Games movie in the VIP theatre. We got to our seats at 6:00pm and the movie was scheduled to start at 6:30pm. We placed our order with one of the staff at about 6:15pm. The theatre began to fill up fast, most people placing orders. 6:30 came along, then 6:45, then the lights went black. We watched everyone get their order but ours didn’t seem to come. I waited until about 7:10pm to give them time to realize their mistake but realized that wasn’t going to happen. I went out to the concessions to let them know I was sure our order was forgotten. They asked me what I had ordered and I told them, to which they said they would prepare it right away. I asked the staff if they would deliver it to me (as that is what VIP is all about AND i was missing the movie that i’ve been dying to see) and they told me no and to wait. This is obviously quite annoying as i’m here to see a movie that i’m now missing due to their negligence. I was given my order to carry back to the theatre all alone. It was quite a lot to carry, so thankfully one of the younger gentleman that work at the cinema saw me struggling and stepped up and helped me. It’s very frustrating paying for a VIP experience then being forgotten about, refused delivery to my seat, missing part of the movie and not offered any sort of compensation. Do better cineplex!

We had the worst experience at VIP Oakville today. Bought 4 VIP tickets and due to machine error was asked to pick them at the counter. When we went to the counter to get the tickets, was told by a rude representative Alexis B that no transaction has been made. Although we showed her proof that our bank account has been charged, she was not ready to listen and denied the fact that we have bought tickets even when showed her proof of screenshot of the machine error. Rather she told us we need to dispute it with customer service as she cannot see any proof that the transaction was made even though we were charged. Left with no choice, we went and bought another 4 VIP passes. 15 mins later she rudely came and literally threw the tickets at the table where we were sitting and said I can now see that the transaction was done and was able to print. We ended up paying twice for something that wasn’t even our fault. She did not apologize for what happened and the technical error and was not able to be resolve the dispute in an effective manner leading to unhappy customers. Did not expect this level of customer service from VIP cineplex being a regular VIP cineplex customer.

They don’t even deserve one star worst management ever, manager is so rude and did not let us watch our movie we had tickets for spider man movie and he asked us to leave the building in-front of my 6 years old kid, he refused to sell fries and asked me to leave the building, all that happened because I was holding the vape in my hand with my phone and keys ( holding it ONLY) he doesn’t want to see it. I had to buy tickets again because I promised my kid to watch the movie and we had to go to Winston Churchill location! And he refused to refund the tickets, that’s stealing ! I bought 4 tickets twice for the same movie, shame on you. I regret not calling police for you, but I will not let it go I’ll sue the management not for the money but to teach him a lesson so he doesn’t do it with others, what happened in front of my child is not acceptable very poor management !

Expected so much from my first VIP Recliner experience. The seats are so pathetic. They are manual recliners that require you to push it using your back with extreme amount of force and hold that force to keep them reclined which isn’t possible for more than 10seconds. I don’t know why they couldn’t use the usual cineplex seats that have a switch that reclines the seat automatically. We had to sit at an almost 90 degree angle for the whole duration which was very uncomfortable and disappointing. The tray tables aren’t straightforward to use either. It doesn’t seem like they can turn towards you but you have to manoeuvre it in a very unique way with some strong force to get it to turn. The food was just okay…Sorry, but I won’t be coming back for this. Also please clean your washroom vents, they’re disgusting.

I love Cineplex' VIP cinemas, but this is not one of my favourites. I've been twice now, but I'm probably going to go elsewhere next time. The service has been lacking - friendly, but not always available. The first time we went early to eat in the theatre, but there was only one waitstaff and we were not served. We had to go to the restaurant ourselves to order. The second time we went early again, this time we planned to eat in the restaurant before going into the cinema. The place was crowded, but only one waitstaff and it took a long time to get our meal. The cinema seats do not recline, and the swing-out tables are a tight fit. I still like the VIP cinemas - hence the high star rating. But, I have had better experiences at other VIPs - so this one gets four instead of five stars.

  • Justin Ku

Couldn't of felt more like a P instead of VIP. Went a few weeks ago and arrived 10 Min before the movie. Staff completely ignored myself and my date to take my order as it was one of the perks of the VIP experience. When food was delivered to the people beside us we asked to order and were told to go to the front desk and order. Had to go down and had to wait for the food instead of it being brought to us and missed out for the first 20 min of the movie. This isn't my first VIP experience but we came 5-10 min late to a VIP movie and they were able to take our order and deliver it to us (for example Yonge-Dundas) If I'm going to pay the premium price for tickets, I'd expect the VIP experience

The best location I have ever been to . Love where it’s conveniently located in front of Montana’s grill, Harvey’s , nearby burloak drive . Lot of parking spots available, the service is amazing at the counters . VIP is amazing and always neat , the staff are really friendly and they do know what they are doing. A clean theatre with lot of good seats available most of the time. Better to book seats in advance and Even better to choose vip menu inside cineplex. ( cheaper) I love the fact that iconic scenes from movies are displayed on the way to vip entrance . I cried seeing all those moments in my life and they captured it , perfectly. I felt I belonged there . It felt like home .

This cinema location is my go to place for movies, it’s located on the border of Oakville and Burlington and is located just off the highway close to all kinds of restaurants if you want to make a night of it. Cinema offers all types of viewing experiences... 3D.... VIP with liquor license, lounge...comfortable seats and an arcade. Staff are friendly, theatres are clean, food selection is good, with the usual expensive theatre up charge.... but I know that going in. My son likes the made on the spot pizza and poutine, and I have had the wraps which are pretty good, if you want something different from popcorn. Overall a great family or date night location!

  • Celeste Vecera

I brought a friend for her birthday treat. We went to the show at 7:15 PM. Unfortunately there was zero toilet paper in the washroom when I went in before the show. The seats barely reclined, and had no leg rest or other features. I went to the VIP at Winston Park and it was 1 million times better . They had no grilled chicken available whatsoever so we were unable to order the chicken Caesar salad, or the grilled chicken taco, which we had planned on. Also, they brought our popcorn to us about 20 minutes before our dinner. The popcorn was cold when it arrived and it was even colder after our dinner when we started eating it. Not impressed.

Very comfortable seats! All the staff with extremely cool, when I got to my VIP section, immediately I was approached by a staff member, asking me how they could help. I felt welcome I got to my seat and it was extremely comfortable there was so much room. The staff told me when I was ready to order to just wave down and she would come right up. I couldn’t believe when I ordered my food, how not even five minutes later, I got my popcorn and my drink. My food was delicious. Staff was on point, thank you so much for an awesome evening. I will definitely be coming back again. Totally worth the money⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • Stephen Welton

Lots of parking and extremely easy access from the highway into a night of entertainment. Tickets were easy to obtain after an online purchase with the terminals inside. Choosing the VIP service experience comes with a price but it's great to lounge out and have a drink or snack before heading inside to watch the movie in oversized seating with a side table for placing your snacks and drinks that you can order from a menu just before the start of the flick. A good spot for a great night out. Thumbs up if and when you agree on this review.

  • Donsploitation

The VIP lounge area is very nice and overall upkeep of the facilities is managed very well. Would go back if there is a movie that's playing only here but if we're comparing VIP theatres to other VIP theatres, this one lacks full recliners. The seats do lean back slightly but unless you're looking to do a leg day here, they won't stay reclined. If you do manage to lean it back a bit, be prepared to bother everyone as the seat slowly resets to full upright landing position using various creaks, squeaks and groans from the seat itself.

  • LL

I enjoy going to the movies, however I hate crowded theatres, especially with children in it. After seeing a movie in the theatres that was completely packed and we got stuck with a kids birthday party sitting beside us, we decided it was time to try the VIP theatre. It ruined us! We can’t go back!! Extremely comfortable seating, food brought to your seat, alcohol served... and best of all... no children!!!! It’s heaven!! I love buying the tickets online and getting the seats we want, not having to wait in line. VIP is the way to go!

  • David Morin

Visited the VIP for the first time in years. Ordered some food and beer before going in. Chicken sandwich was delicious and beer was cold. The service was good and the woman serving us was friendly and everything came out right. The movie seats are comfortable and don't feel worn down. They are in pairs with an armrest that can be raised and wide armrests on the outsides of each pair that can be rotated in front of you to form a table. The theatres aren't huge so most seats give you a good experience.

  • Patti Shipway

Came for the VIP and what a disappointment. Not sure how they can call it VIP firm seats that push you forward. We usually go to Kitchener and the have recliners I assumed all VIP had these. You don't even get cup holders on your seats. Spend $100 on tickers for 3 people and another $100 on stale popcorn and flat beer. Will definitely never return and tell anyone I know this theater is below par please don't waste your money on VIP it really is just a bigger stiff seat. Stay away.

  • Shawn B (Stec)

The worst VIP theatre I have ever been to. The seats do not recline, and they are very cramped with the side tray digging into your arm, honestly felt claustrophobic. We had to leave that theatre because there was no way I could watch a 2hr movie in that seating and we exchanged our tickets for dbox seating instead so we could have much more room. I was really looking forward to reclining and heated seats like the other VIP theatre at Winston Churchill which is amazing!

  • Ethan Sparling

Terrible customer service. The manager and people working at the register do not care to talk to customers with respect, decency or integrity. They would rather lose customers than give $1.50 worth of butter to compensate for broken machines. If you want a decent cinema experience go somewhere else. Might as well bring your own snacks and popcorn rather than spend $150 on tickets and snacks just to be told you have to pay for their negligence.

  • T Hay

Very nice experience here last night. Went to see a movie with some friends and it happened to be my 12 year olds birthday. When we walked into the theater my daughters friends ran up to her to wish her a happy birthday. A man who I assume is the manager overheard, and offered my daughter a bag of popcorn! We thought that was a really kind, thoughtful and unexpected gesture which made our night! Thank you so much!

The Unforgettable Experience at Oakville Cinema Lights dimmed, anticipation in the air, and a sense of wonder enveloped me as I stepped into the captivating world of Oakville Cinema. It was a Friday evening, and I was ready to immerse myself in the magic of the silver screen. Little did I know that what awaited me would be an extraordinary movie experience that would leave an indelible mark on my memory.

  • Mae Andrea Aranas

I came here with my family yesterday to watch Uncharted movie and surprisingly, the theatre was almost full. There was alot of people coming. We ordered food - poutine and nachos. They were good even the employees were nice as well. The place is really neat and cool. Probably the best theatre i've gone so far with no complaints. I would love to try VIP next time, hope to be back here soon!

  • A Z

This is by far the worst VIP cinemas I’ve been to. The seats are squished together and they do not recline at all. Winston Churchill VIP Cineplex is 100 times better, please just drive there. Also, we’ve never had any VIP attendant ever ask us for our drivers license before. Evidently look like we’re over the age of 19. I think they may have new staff hence the awkward interactions.

  • TheLifeOfVarun

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Cineplex. The non-reclining seats made the movie-watching uncomfortable, and to make matters worse, my drink order was messed up not once, but three times. I cannot recommend this theatre, and I won’t be returning, especially considering the comparable VIP dealers offer a better experience at the same price.

  • Melissa Schroder

Haven’t been to the movies in a while so we decided to go one day when it was raining. Movie Equalizer 3 was awesome however, this theatre is old. The VIP seats need to be upgraded and the service was really slow. My food came out after the movie was already started. I recommend the Winston Churchill location over this one - Won’t be back.

  • Paul Pannu

Shows and timings here are inaccurate. Don't trust ! I went to watch Mission Impossible that was available as shown here today with my family. But at the cinema their ticket machines and staff shows that it's not playing ! What b.s. and who updates the info here needs to wise up ! Truly disappointed ! I really expect a reply on this !

  • Rima Mhrdaoui

Me and my family came here to watch a movie together for my son’s birthday. I have been waiting in line for 30 minutes. This is so ridiculous and unacceptable. My son, James, is so upset right now and yes, I did take time out of my day to write this, reread it, and thought it was an amazing idea to post it. Hire more people Cinaplex.

  • srikanth ramanujam

The theatres are quiet nowadays. Went to two movies. Barbie in the VIP. And Oppenheimer. Both good experiences. Probably because of smaller crowds from the fact the movies have been around for weeks at the theatres. But yet good experiences. Bonus is that the food stalls were not crowded and the services were extremely quick.

  • Elena Trunova

I want to sincerely thank the young lady who worked on July 10 and 11, for finding my daughter's lost earbuds. Your act of kindness has reminded me of the good-hearted people who are willing to lend a hand, even in small situations like this. Your professionalism and kindness have made a lasting impression on me. Thank you!

  • Zach Evans

If you’re attending one of their VIP screening, arrive very early if you expect to be able to get food, or you will be left with stale, overpriced popcorn from the concession stand. It doesn’t seem as though they check the ages of people attending as we were hounded out by a bunch of loud, obnoxious teenagers.

  • buwaneka66

Went for the vip experience, very disappointing. The seating was terrible. Didn't recline, not enough leg room, and small seats. Every other vip I've been to had better seats. Again, this is only my issue for the vip section. I'm sure the regular movie experience would be better at this location over the vip

  • Debbs Beardall

Fantastic experience. Great seats, loads of space, chairs lean back. Servers come take your orders at your seats! Of course, I'm talking about the VIP seating if that was not clear. More money, but So worth it if you want to watch something with a spectacular view!! Like Top Gun or Avatar for example! A+

  • Aaron Unite

Nice movie theater but the vip section needs to make their seat more comfortable. Sure it's leather and all but my back was so warm I was sweating a little. The seats don't recline like the others I've been too. Seats need an upgrade but all in all it's a clean theater and wonderful customer service

  • Jake Gow

VIP seats (at least in cinema #2) are of the older style and not nearly as comfortable or roomy as the Winston Churchill VIP. They feel a little rundown. A fairly quiet Cineplex overall, there were lots of seats open on a Tuesday night after a new release. Staff were friendly and service was great.

  • Lorna Bo

saw barbie here with a couple of friends and the theatre was completely packed! seats were comfy - although not recliner - and big enough to curl up in. only downside was the very long lines for popcorn (although given it was the release day for barbie/oppenheimer I guess it makes sense)

  • Nolan Piette

Comfortable theatre. Absolutely worth the upgrade from the regular tickets if you're looking for a slightly more refined movie experience. The seats are comfortable, roomy and set in pairs with an armrest that lifts up in the middle and a tray you can slide in front of yourself.

  • Fabian Bulai

Very good experience. I had some coupon from work and had trouble using it but the young man from the popcorn counter helped me. The manager is very nice and professional as well. Over all I found the place a lot cleaner than before and my kids enjoyed the "Avatar" movie.

  • Jess

The VIP theatre is just awful. Definitely, go to the Mississauga winston Churchill VIP it is so much better. The seats are just awful here and it shouldn’t be called VIP. They don’t recline they are hard as a rock. I think the regular theatre seats might be even better

  • Ali Law

The VIP theater was comfortable and easy to find assigned seat. The service was fast and pleasant and perfectly timed to coincide with previews. The food itself wasn't great. Shrimp overcooked and pizza burned. Maybe better to just stick with popcorn and a drink..

  • robin jones

Do not pay for vip the chairs are not reclining they only rock back about a half a foot and your toes actually have to hold the chair back and you still have to pay for everything it's not worth it to pay for vip just to have someone bring you your popcorn lol

  • Roshan Basnet Oakville & Burlington Realtor

We paid a lot to watch D-Box seating. But your theatre is nasty dirty. I got Hives in my body everywhere. Look at the D-Box seat photo here. I almost puked. Please clean seats. Getting tickets, getting our popcorn and drinks all good. Avatar was good movie.

  • Chris Black

The seats were cramped, the recline didn't work well, the theater was dirty, concessions was closed to everything except online orders and seat service. The only reason it didn't get a 1 star is the food was decent. Will definitely stick to Queensway VIP

  • Paul O'Leary

The VIP is pretty clean, and we'll ventilated. Seats are roomy, but the recline isn't great on them. Food is okay, mixed drinks are pretty good. Would recommend if you don't mind paying the extra, as an alternative to the more crowded, smelly theatres.

  • Kevin Benson

I've been here many times and have always had a good experience! I usually go to VIP, for the food and drinks and big, comfy seats! The regular theaters are fine too, but you may have young kids around you, depending on the movie... VIP is 19+!

  • Connor McGee

Overall experience was pretty good. The only thing I would say it was a bit pricey. Another thing that I did not like these people that showed up late beside us. Food came to them and the woman was standing in front of my wife while we were

  • Sajid Ahmad Khan

It was good. Watched Avatar 2 3D with family and we all enjoyed with popcorn combo. I just think seats may be a little more uncomfortable. Seats arrangement can be improved well as there were not many people. This is why missing 1 star.

  • Kenny Handelman

The VIP cinema experience was sub par. The floors were sticky walking in. Even the carpeting was sticky. My VIP chair was stuck extended back, and my companion's was stuck forward. There was old popcorn and garbage between the seat and

  • T M

Would give 0 stars if I could. This is NOT VIP, the seats are small, there are no cup holders, there's no space for your legs, the chairs don't recline. The bathrooms are DINGY, why pay VIP when it's worst than regular admission???

  • Suzanne Soto-Davies

We had a good time. Food was "ehh" okay, kind of like a diner... The drinks are MASSIVE (see my photo??) and kind of watered down so i could only drink about half, but the kids running the VIP are awesome. Now let's talk about the

  • mandeep Chhabra

VIP was worst. Seats are so terrible gave me backache..my friend also suffered, seats were dirty popcorns with coke in the corners..ordered nachos and were served with poutine..beer seems unauthentic..horrible experience ..

  • Ana Bastas

Typical movie theater! Clean, service is good, food is overpriced. I dont like that they don't provide you with a detailed receipt (in the vip) for your order...I have no idea if they're charging properly or not...

  • JayT Warsh

Enjoyed another evening at the VIP Theater in Oakville. The vip #1 was so clean, the in seat waitress was super friendly and our order came out so fast. It was fantastic as usual. WORTH The $$. Love ❤️ it.

  • David L

Watched Avatar 2 on a Tuesday. Booked online and was charged a service fee. VIP is nice but I find the seating still too close to neighbors. For the added price for admission, I would prefer more privacy.

  • Pamela Guardado

Awesome spot because all the restaurants you can earn and spend scene points are in the same plaza! Haha also in a great shopping area and near an indoor play gym (playcious) for a day out with the fam.

  • Maria M

This theatre is so nice and clean. Love the floor plan. Its very organized. The staff is really nice. Their VIP cinema is amazing. Watched spiderman here at avx and was amazing. They got outakes too.

  • sadi viziotv

Great cinema, always clean and audience is very well behaved not liked other cineplex’s in GTA. Staff is also very nice and attentive. Never had a bad experience in over 20+ visits in the last year.

  • A Lyl

The online fee is ridiculous considering that I do all the service myself to buy the tickets. Snacks are also way overpriced. Other than that it is a nice theater. Where we usually have a good time

  • David Sfwriter

Nice seats, pricey snacks, and so many previews and commercials that I arrived quite late and didn't miss a moment of the film. On the whole, a fairly typical experience in an upscale theatre.

  • Nick Panico

I have been to the VIP part once and one of there small regular theaters. This location is nice the theaters are clean and the vip experience is fun items brought to you and comfortable seats

  • Yewande A

First time at a VIP cinema! I enjoyed the experience and will do it again! I wished the seats could recline, it would have been perfect. PS: I didn’t take a lot of pictures, next time I will.

  • Dan S

Comfortable seats. Excellent visual audio quality. Starbucks coffee at normal prices. We watched Oppenheimer. 3hrs long and I never felt uncomfortable in the seats. (Fantastic movie)

  • D W

I did not receive our food order in a timely manner. Husband didn't receive his at all. When mine arrived it was cold. Returned mine. I don't think I would waste money on food.

  • Dee

The seats in a Vip theatre should recline, but they don't. A little overpriced for what you get. But the photos from older movies on the walls were pretty neat to see
