I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! This is EXACTLY what we were looking for AND some !! People flock here for good reason! Someone else picked up our catfish dinners and after they realized that, they remade our entire order so that everything was fresh and hot and they brought desserts and drinks for the inconvenience and STILL asked if there was anything else they could get the kids or us.. the owner came out to us him self. It really was a great experience and so family oriented. The customer service is some of the best weve ever had and we go alot of places from neighborhood grills to the most upscale steak houses in the city and this little humble place was one of the best yet!!!! I got the smothered pork chops with mashed potatoes and gravy and my boyfriend ordered the smothered chicken with greens and yams, the kids got the catfish and it was so good and I dont eat catfish at all. It wasnt fishy at all and it was crispy and fresh. We will most definitely return.. They are only open ON Sundays fyi. I'm sad that we can only go once a week .

It was me and my girlfriends first time eating here it was a decent experience but not the best soul food we have had. We ordered cornbread but didn't receive any but didn't notice until we were at home which is in anderson. Then I ordered just plain dressing and I had gravy on it which I'm not a fan of but thought I would give it a try because we already had to wait over our order time. The pork chops and sweet potatoes were good but Mac n cheese and greens were very average at best. Also there weren't any utensils or paper towels in the bag so not only did we drive 45 minutes to get the food. We had to drive home the same 45 to eat our food which again is fine but you would think paying almost 50 bucks you would get that in the bag.

The atmosphere is like grandma's house after church. The smells are amazing before you even get to the counter to order. The hospitality of the workers is above and beyond. We felt very welcomed. Someone greeted us with a smile and made sure we were well taken care of. The food.....words can not express. The fish was cooked to perfection the greens, southern fried potatoes, and Mac n cheese WOW! With added tomatoes and onions and a roll. We will return and I definitely recommend you go if you love soul food. ❤️

My dad, Michelle and I wanted some home cooked foods and we found it at Circle City Soul Food. Dad had there catfish, sweet potatoes n orka. Well he didn't even talk his food was so good. Michelle n I had their fried pork chop, collard greens, sweet potatoes n Mac n cheese. The pork chops were juicey and tender; fried to perfection. The greens were well seasoned with spices n turkey meat, sweet potatoes were so tasty and not overly sweet n the Mac n cheese creamy n cheesy. Oh forgot the desserts, lemon cake and strawberries w/pound cake. Yummy We will be returning to try other foods from their menu. Only open on Sundays, 12noon-5pm. So try them, you won't be disappointed.

Coworker of mine picked this up for us and I had it for the first time today. I was raised by a southern grandma who cooked this type of food every week. This is hands down the BEST fried chicken I’ve had in my 33 years of life. Collard greens were tender and seasoned well. Mac n cheese was creamy and still had a cheese pull even after a several minute drive after picking it up. Gravy on the mashed potatoes was perfectly seasoned. Peach cobbler for dessert just warmed me from the inside in the best way. This is a 20 out of 10, and I will absolutely get it again if I’m anywhere NEAR the area on a Sunday.

I heard about this place on Fox 59 when they announced them as Indy's Best Soul Food restaurant. Today was my first time trying this place and food was NOT that good. I placed my order online, and they forgot my collard greens and had to go back and get them. The fish was lacking seasoning, the sweet potatoes had strings and can taste the crunch of the brown sugar, and the collard greens had NO flavor at all. I didn't see any turkey meat in them. The only thing that tasted good was the dressing. I definitely will not be eating here again.

The food was delicious. The portions were generous. I had a chicken breast with mac and cheese and dressing with gravy. What impressed me the most was the kindness of the staff. They saw me get out of the car. They saw I was struggling to walk. They helped me in the door and gave me a chair to sit on in the line. When it was time to go the Security lady gave me her arm and walked me to the car. I have never had service like that. I recommend this place. The next time I come back to Indy they will be one of my food choices.

Had it for the first time yesterday. Servings were so generous I had plenty leftover and just ate it for an early dinner. Hubby and I ordered smothered chicken and I got the Mac and yams. He got green beans and greens. Everything was so good. But the best part was the AMAZING customer service. Such nice peope!!! The ONLY thing that wasn't excellent was the cornbread but maybe it was just a bad batch. We will definitely be back now that we found this gem!

I absolutely love this place! I ordered a veggie plate and it was delicious. We were greeted by this sweet soul with a big smile. I didn't catch her name but she made me feel like I was coming to a relatives house for dinner. The entire staff was friendly and we had everything we needed to pull over to a park and enjoy the food. Definitely will be returning.

This last visit and the one before that, I have been completely dissatisfied. I go here EVERY SUNDAY and have always been pleased. But my last two visits have been less than satisfactory. My last visit they should not have let it leave the building. Baked chicken was dry, macaroni and cheese was dry and the servings were that of a child’s plate. As long as I have come to this establishment I have decided not to return or recommend to anyone at this time.

Food and atmosphere of a true soul food cafeteria style restaurant. Catfish is fried to golden perfection. Though you should anticipate a 30 minute wait, make it a destination on your next visit to Nap!

Me and my mom went here for the first time after church today and had the best dinner we had in a long time! I got the smothered pork chop, dressing with gravy and greens and she had the fried chicken. The pork chop was the most tender pork chop I have ever had! It was a very relaxing and friendly environment. We will definitely be back!

Me and my fiance are from Cleveland and we came to Indianapolis to buy a car and found this gem of a restaurant and let me say this is some of the best soul food I have ever eaten period. We will definitely be back! It will be worth the almost 5 hour drive!!!

The staff was so nice and the service was quick. The catfish and the yams were the best I’ve ever had. All the food they had looked amazing. If you are ever in Indianapolis on a Sunday you have to try it.
