Everyone complains about how the south is terrible, and the law is biased there, but here in Oregon I have had NOTHING but biased, ignorant, bossy and judicially clumsy judges. in my latest fiasco, I had to take my slumlord to court over not paying the city's new "law" on paying relocation assistance when they evict for no-cause. The judge apparently MISSED the point that my husband and I were legally separated, so was not able to speak for both of us, when he moved out, which was the slumlord's argument, DESPITE the fact that my ex was there to explain he never was speaking for me, the judge ruled for the slumlord, and demanded -I- had to pay her. After the decision, in which he refused to let me speak, reminding him that his decision was based on faulty information, he seemed surprised to hear me say "Hey, when she gave me the eviction notice, I was legally separated from my husband, which he said, and SHE (landlord) said." but his response was "Well, the ruling is complete. We're done" Pro tem judge Johnson. Seems fair, but may be developing memory problems and clearly suffers from bench arrogance.

It was all blocked off. I didn’t see a way to get an hour trying to file. I guess everything‘s blocked off because of the protest but there was not a door to get in so frustrated!
