"I am so so happy with City Cellars"
"One of the oldest liquor stores in the city"
"Wonderful selection of wines"
"Four stars mainly for being within easy walking distance from my place"
"I had an AMAZING experience here!! A lovely woman who’s name I did not get helped me pick out some wines and was SO informative"
I am so so happy with City Cellars. Due to Covid, my partners trip to Chicago(home) has been delayed and she has been really upset and missing it. I wanted to buy some Jeppson's Malort since it's Chicago's most famous alcohol. I e-mailed a ton of stores asking if they could get it in and every single one said no. Except City Cellars, they replied that they couldn't get it in but they could order a different Malort from Bittermans. They were able to get it in the store in five days and tonight she was drinking a bit of home. So appreciative that they took the time to actually help me out instead of just replying no or not even replying at all. If you want good service this is the store to get it!
One of the oldest liquor stores in the city. They have a fantastic selection the staff is always friendly and helpful and the prices are very competitive, On my most recent visit I was looking for bourbon, something I'm not very familiar with. The staff went out of their way the help introduce me to what they have on offer. Most stores wouldn't even stop to give you a smile much less spend time trying to help you with your selections. The selection is important but that level of service is what really keeps me going back there.
Wonderful selection of wines.. I am always well received in this store, in spite of my colorful presence. They lack a little bit when it comes to their choice of spirits, they do have a selection of local premixed drinks, and I think I saw a big beer cooler. The staff are knowledgeable and always quite friendly and upbeat. If it wasn't indicative of a drinking problem I would try to spend more time here than I already do. Great liquor store.. better local wine cellar.
Four stars mainly for being within easy walking distance from my place. That said, it's got a decent sized walk-in cooler with a good selection of domestic (including some micro-brews) and foreign beers; can't touch Sherbrooke Liquor though. Employees are always friendly and happy to help where they can. Don't expect deep knowledge of wines, but for my needs they're pretty good.
I had an AMAZING experience here!! A lovely woman who’s name I did not get helped me pick out some wines and was SO informative. She knew everything about wine! Also, I got a 10% discount for buying 3 bottles. Literally the best liquor store ever, you have got yourself a loyal customer now!
Tucked off the main street. This liquor store carries a wide selection of wine and beers. They have a huge walk in cooler filled with beers. Items on the shelf can be found chilled and ready to enjoy. Friendly staff and always willing to help. Lots of parking out front.
My go to beer seller. The selection of local and craft brews is top five in the city. I appreciate the organization of the walk in beer cooler. I like to browse the selection and buy a brew that is completely off the wall.
An excellent beer, spirits, and wine store with great selection. They will look for what you need if it's not in stock and order it in. All that, and with great friendly service too. Highly recommended.
I liked City Cellars because they are pet friendly and I would take my dog over and we would get bags of ice on a hot summer day and the staff were friendly and it was easy to access
Friendly helpful staff and a good selection of wines. They have a wish list you can add a wine to and they'll try to bring it in. I added one so hopefully it will work!
They always have my homesteader troubled monk so i never leave their disappointed if you want a quick stop for some great craft beer this place won't disappoint you.
A hidden gem. The shop has a little bit of everything. And if they don't have what you want, they offer the option to order it in. I have never been disappointed.
Very expensive. Was not expecting that. At least try and be competitive or do you have a captive audience that doesn't care or can't afford to go anywhere else.
Pretty good selection (though nothing really compares to sherbrooke 5 mins north), and closer than sherbrooke to me, so worth it for that alone.
Great wine and liquor store. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Great selection, especially if you want something special.
Great little gem tucked away from the bussel of crowds. Some nice items in their vintage section, big selection of different wines. Nice!
Went for a tasting, had a look around and the prices are a bit high but the selection is pretty good for whiskey and Alberta beer.
Staff is very friendly. I don't buy alcohol very often but when I do go they remember me and chit chat and make me feel welcome.
The local craft beer selection is well represented, but I'd like to see a bigger variety like their wines and liquors.
Sad to learn that they'll be scanning and retaining people's drivers license info. Otherwise nice little shop.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. It's a small store, but they've got a decent selection of wine for all that.
Great selection of Alberta craft beer, fine selection of spirits, wines, and beer in general
Their beer selection is amazing, but maybe a few more gluten free options would be nice?
Great rotating selection of local beers. Also a good selection of coolers, and scotch.
Great little place, good beer and wine selection. Good selection of local craft beers.
Great beer selection! About as expensive as liquor Dept, which I find a little high.
Good liquor store with decent variety. No bike racks to be found anywhere though.
People are always friendly and they have a good selection for a small store.
Reliable liquor store with a large, quality selection, and friendly staff.
One of the best liquor stores. Does not stock grain alcohol though
Cooler is mighty cold. Selection of craft beer is really decent.
good liquor store, lots of options for beer, wine and spirits.
Solid store with larger than average wine and beer selection.
Great wine selection and they also carry Smirnoff pineapple!
Always have a good selection for me and I dont drink often
Good selection and location right in the brewery district.
Good selection of Alberta beer and lots of great spirits.
Great selection of Alberta beers and knowledgeable staff!
